Color code e-mails on ipad mail?

I am looking for a way or an app to use which I can color code my emails within the mail program on my iPad. On my Mac, I am able to color code specific emails depending on what they are regarding. I am looking to do this on my ipad and I have looked everywhere and can not seem to find this. I know there is a way to just mark it in the "red flag" color, but I was wondering if there was a way to mark it in the colors that are on the Mac. Anyone????

Hi USERMD,
I know this is not what you are looking for, but the iPad mail is rather limited, as you know. I have set up separate folders (and I have a lot of them now), to sort my mail into the groupings that they are regarding. As I get the mail, I read it, and them immediately move it into it's appropriate folder.
Don't know if that will help at all, but it's the best way I was able to find to keep them organized and easy to find for specific topics.
Cheers,
GB

  • Color-Code New Mail?n

I know Mail will bold new messages, but I want to color-code them red like Entourage will do. But they then need to go back to un-bold and black when I've read them.
Anyone know how you can make that happen?
    thanks!

I don't have the code(or the version you're on) but I can tell you how to find it.
Take a screenshot, then open up Paint.  Paste it in there and use the EyeDropper tool to select the color.  In th etop right, click edit colors and it should bring up the edit color page with your color preselected.  In the bottom right will be the numbers next to Red, Green, and Blue.  Convert those numbers in to Hex and you'll have your code.
So to use the text from your subject here as an example, the numbers there are 31, 78, 174.  That becomes 1F, 48, AE.  Put them all together with a # in fron and you have #1F48AE.
You can use this trick to get any color you want out of the system to match formatting.

  • Some color codes appearing on my ipad screen. What should i do?

    Hi,
I have a Ipad 1 bought in US and i'm currently in India. My ipad screen has some issues. The screen is displaying some rainbow color codes both horizontal and vertical. Could you please advice on the course of action.
    Regards,
    Manoj

OK.  Now it's getting ugly.  You need to do a Restore without reloading from the backup.
IF you choose to follow my advice, here are some cautions.  Make absolutely certain that all apps, music, movies, etc. are present in the iTunes library.  Also make absolutely certain that all "regular" data, such as pdf files, Word files, etc. are present and accessible somewhere on the computer's hard drive.  Be aware that you will probably lose all game data (scores, etc.).  Finally, be forewarned that it is a bit tedius recreating all your folders and putting each app where you want it.
When the Restore finishes, remember NOT to load from backup.  However, do a normal "sync."  Then, rearrange your apps on the iPad.

  • Solution for color coding Apple Mail mail boxes?

Using OS 10.9.5, I would like to find an Apple or  third party solution that would allow me to color-code my mailboxes in Apple Mail version 7.3.

    * UPDATE *
If I search for text in an email I am viewing (in the Mail split screen format) the found text still remains grey.
HOWEVER, if I double click the email to open it and then search for text the found text is now in the correct colour.

  • Generate bar codes in mail forms

    Hi,
I know how to insert Bar codes in smartforms, but I need to print the bar codes in Mail Forms, is that possible?
    Thanks a lot,
    Nuno Moreira

    Hi Gregor,
What I need to do is:
I have several mail forms treated as a standard response in ICWC. We are using the e-mail view (in ICWC) mainly to print the forms, via smartforms or in “online” mode without smartforms.
So, at the moment, I have two questions:
    1) If I use a smartform to print the mail form, even if I create the form in plain text and create the bar code into mail form, when I print the “number” it is not converted in a bar code;
    2) If I generate the bar code in a mail form and I try to print it in ICWC e-mail view the number is not printed as a bar code too;
Thanks a lot for your help and interest,
    Best Regards,
    Nuno

did you search the LDAP server to see whether the email value you try to use already exist ?  typically LDAP server do not care whether email is duplicated or not, but by default OIM server do not allow duplicated email

  • Mail: Have an email that when I try to delete I get rotating colored circle and mail locks up?

For the first time, I have received an email from known source and when I go to delete it I get a rotating colored circle and mail locks up. To get out I have to force quit.
I have an iMac running Lion.
Any idea of what may be going on here?

    Hello,
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions,  then move these files to the Desktop.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Then try deleting it in Safe Mode.

  • Color code groups in address book

Is there any way to color code groups so that when mail comes in I know to associate it with a specific group. I was able to do this in entourage but have switched to apple mail.

As already described, create a new Rule in Mail.app (Mail -> Preferences -> Rules), that reads:
if (ANY) of the following conditions are met:
(Sender is member of group) (xxxxxxxxx)
    Perform the following actions:
(Set Color) (Of Background (or text as you prefer) to (Any color you wish)
    Save the rule.
Before doing that, you might want to create a few Groups (or Smart Groups) in Address Book with the people you want to color.
    Hope this helps.

  • Force Dreamweaver CS5 to use long hexadecimal color codes

Hi everyone. Does anybody know if there is an option to force Dreamweaver CS5 to use long hexadecimal color codes in all instances?
My company designs email newsletters and so we have to ensure maximum compatibility across web clients and email programs. The worst offenders for rendering CSS are Gmail and Outlook. We have to ensure all text and links have their color set by inline style tags, and since this is CSS Dreamweaver inserts them in 3-character shortform. Some versions of Outlook are not capable of processing these shortcodes, and so we must use 6-character codes in all instances.
I am aware that this is not necessary for most people but for us it is an essential feature. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the confusion, SnakEyez02. My sense is that tobe82 addressed the issue that Dreamweaver CS5 inserts 3-character shortform hex code, i.e., #FC3 instead of #FFCC33. This can be seen by using Page Properties to select a color for the page background. As tobe82 points out, there doesn't seem to be a Preference that addresses 3- vs 6-character hex codes although CS5 uses the shorter version under some circumstances.
For those doing HTML newsletters with Dreamweaver, this is a significant issue because thousands of subscribers use a wide variety of email software, including Microsoft Mail, and view the newsletters online with a wide range of web browsers, including Internet Explorer. Having a "happy yellow" background render black on heavily used Windows software is unacceptable. Knowing the way to correct this is important, so tobe82's question in this forum helped by suggesting the manual code fix. But I agree with tobe82 that it would be a good idea for Adobe to provide a Preference now that the 3-character shortform hex code is in Dreamweaver CS5.
(Un)fortunately, the example is corrected. If you want to take a look, imagine this Defrost yourself and make a margarita! newsletter with a black background instead of the #FC3 yellow.
    http://reigntrading.com/newsletter/retail/2011_April7/final.html
It looked more like an invitation to a wake than a party! The yellow background rendered black on Internet Explorer (Win 7) until I changed the automatically inserted #FC3 to #FFCC33. I don't read email on a PC, but thankfully Mac users are used to testing on Windows browsers.....

  • Address Book Color Code Contacts

Can you COLOR CODE Individual contacts?

You can't "color code" anything. Apple Mail is not some sprawling feature-bloated Microsoft project. It's a very small footprint and tightly programmed address book database that is well integrated into the OS. It is possible Address Book will include color properties in the future, but that king of visual noise is not Apple's style.
If you relly must have a colored family, you should stick to Entourage.

  • HT2500 Can you color code contacts or groups so that it shows in the inbox/message?

Are you able to color code contacts & groups so that it shows up in "their" color in the inbox & message?
    Thanks!

Set up a rule (Mail preferences -> Rules) for something like:
If From contains [the sender's email address]
    Perform the following actions:
Set Color of Message -> Background/text -> Color
You can also set the first criteria to "Sender is a member of group" with the group name, or have multiple criteria, as suits your purpose.
    Regards.

  • Why won't the color code I am trying to use from a windows machine work on my Mac? Code: PMS7409

Hi I'm an intern at a telecommunications and management company who are about to release an update on their website and server screens. My job is to create the new graphics and remake the presentation layers. I am also assigned to create a business card template, which is where my question comes. I am give a color code, from a Windows OS, and try to input that code into Photoshop CS6. That color code won't appear. It's a deep orange and the code I am being told is; PMS7409. I'm not sure thats a code (atleast on the Mac), but I haven't used a Windows OS in so long I don't even know if Windows has their own color coding system or what. Can someone help me out and tell me if this is me, my boss, or we're missing something and I'm going to look like an idiot?

Definitely not a colour code for mac, the only thing I suggest you do is if you get the code on your windows version is to get the other values i.e
instead and input those into it rather than the #colour code (Hue, Sat, B, R, G B) etc.
Also ... Colour codes are 6 figures long i.e the one displayed and also black #000000 and white #ffffff
however the one you gave is 7!
