Color Corrector Window

Does any one know how to keep the color corrector window open. I am running dual monitors and would like to keep my color corrector window open, but everytime I click on a new clip in the view it reverts back to the viewer and dissapears from my second monitor.
Same with the motion and filters tabs.

If you mean the colour corrector visual filter, it is a filter, so it applies to one specific clip. If you CC another clip, that is another filter (even if copied) and therefore is operational when it's clip is selected. The motion/filters/audio tabs are removeable, so you can float them around both monitors, but I don't think it's possible to set the specific tabs to which each window will open.
You could nest all your clips, and CC the nested sequence, resulting in one tab for all clips, but the alterations would be the same to all clips, so that's not very practical, unless you like keyframing more than opening tabs.

  • CS6 BUG: Reference window and RGB Color Corrector

An interesting bug in Premiere Pro CS6.
It took me a while to work out what the common factor was, but it now seems to be the RGB Color Corrector effect.
When the current tine indicator is on a clip using this effect, the Reference window will not update.
And not only doesn't it update the data on the graph, but if you change the type of scope (Display Mode) (e.g. from RGB Parade to Vectorscope), that also doesn't change until you move the CTI to view a clip without the RGB Color Corrector effect on.
I have tested this with both Red R3D files as the source and image sequences. Same thing in both cases.
    Extra info:
    OS is Windows 7-64 bit

If anyone is still having trouble with this issue, here is a link to download the 6.0 version of the RGB Color Corrector plug-in. Just grabbed it from an old install, and replaced the file in the Plugins folder and it worked perfectly.

  • Color Corrector's Frame Viewer Split Not Showing Up On External Monitor

    Kind've a long title - sorry - but . . . here's my question:
Why am I not able to see the Frame Viewer's split on my external monitor?
A further, more detailed explanation of the problem:
I recently purchased Ripple Training's Color Correction with Andrew Balis. It's very, very imformative and I think will help a lot when it comes time to begin color correcting the feature I'm working on. The section I'm on shows the Frame Viewer tab in the Tool Bench window that presents itself when one opens Color Correction under the Arrange area. In other words, Arrange>Color Correction sets up your windows for color correcting with your Viewer, Canvas, and Tool Bench windows aligned from left to right. When one opens up the 3 Way Color Corrector on a clip and makes a change in the clip, the Frame Viewer tab in the Tool Bench window will show a split screen where on one side you'll have your clip with the color correction you just did, and the other side un-color corrected. Isn't this (split) image supposed to show up in your external monitor just as the images in the Canvas and the Viewer?
That doesn't seem to be happening on my external monitor.
I'm not sure if this problem/issue I'm having is related to the muticlipl issue I posted in an earlier thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1330596&tstart=0
    perhaps.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier Calderon

Ahhh, Shane. So it's as simple as that? So then there's nothing wrong with my setup or my external monitor? FCP's just not designed to show the Tool Bench's Frame Viewer image in your external monitor? Wow . . . Well that answers that then I guess. And you're right . . . that IS indeed kind've lame . . .
    Thanks.
    Javier
. . . um . . . doesn't that kind've defeat the purpose of proper color correction then (regarding the Tool Bench's Frame Viewer anyway)? If the only place you can see your color corrected Frame Viewer split images is on a monitor that's NOT suited for color correction? Anyway . . . just a thought . . .

  • Color Corrector & Image Quality Issues

I have been putting some color corrector on some clips and after rendering, the quality is very skippy. Even after exporting to quicktime. I'm fine with it skipping in FCE, but when I export , I want it to be as clear as possible and no skipping. How do I accomplish that? Do I need to export a certain format?
I also have been placing images in my timeline from Keynote, exported to TIFF for best quality. When rendered, these images also look very bad. What image format does FCE play nicest with? SO that I can put in these images with no loss of quality.
Any tips for either would be very helpful.

Here are the properties to the best I can understand them from the clip browser. Frame-1920x1080, Vid Rate- 29.97fps, Compressor- apple intermediate codec, data rate- 17.6 MB/sec, aud rate- 48 khz, aud format- 16-bit integer, field dominance- upper(odd).
Sequence is exactly the same except aud format- 32-bit floating point.
Not sure if that is what you're looking for? This particular clip is too bright and my subject has shine on his face. When rendered, I view the playback in the Canvas window, that is where I notice the skipping. It is the same in the Viewer window when rendered.

  • Three Way Color Corrector: turn off green clipping info in program monitor???

How can I turn off the green indicator in the program window, that highlights my blacks that contain no image information. I applied a three-way-color corrector via an adjustment layer. Many thanks!

    Hi Joe,
I am running on a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.8.3, my graphics card is:
Chipset Model:          Intel HD Graphics 3000
      Type:          GPU
      Bus:          Built-In
      VRAM (Total):          512 MB
      Vendor:          Intel (0x8086)
      Device ID:          0x0116
      Revision ID:          0x0009
      gMux Version:          1.9.23
I shot on a flat picture profile with a Nikon D800 and played with the input levels in the 3-way-color corrector. Again, if I brighten the whole image, these indicators will disappear; if I darken the image, they will grow. It is not an artefact, it is a way to show me my crushed blacks. Like a zebra function in cameras. I just cannot find a way to turn this off.
    Thanks again,
    Carl

  • Tonal Range Output not working in RGB Color Corrector Effect!

    I am using a MacPro:

  • How to get RGB color corrector back working with YC waveform monitor

so, as many of you are probably aware, Adobe's latest update killed the RGB color corrector, at least in terms of using it with the YC waveform monitor.
    In this thread ( http://forums.adobe.com/message/4825916#4825916 )
    someone says-
"Yes it's a Bug since the 6.0.2 Update. I replace the effect in the premiere plugin directory with the same from version 6.0.1 and it's working again"
how can I go about doing this?
I looked on another machine running premiere 6.0.0, but I am not seeing a plugin for RGB color corrector in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\Plug-ins\Common
    and I don't know what "RGBColorCorrector.cubin" is in  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\PTX\cubin11
bottom line is that I want the RBG CC back working with the YC waveform monitor again.

also, I saw that initially, but assumed it was only used by after effects, due to the AE in the name, and that windows classifies it as an "adobe after effects effect".

  • Color Corrector edits have stopped functioning

I use Premiere Pro CS4.  I have a project with about 100 clips in which I used some Fast Color Corrector presets I had made to correct the color.  (There is color correction in every clip so it was a lot of work.)  This evening I noticed that all of the color corrections I made are no longer working, except for the last few I had done.  The Fast Color Correction effects are still being shown in the Effects Control window, and each one still has all of the settings adjustments I had made, but they are no longer affecting the video.
    So I have these questions:
Why are the changes I had made with my Fast Color Corrector presets no longer affecting the video?
Can I correct the problem so that all of my color correction work is restored?

This turned out to be a problem with my monitor, not with Premiere Pro CS4.  My apologies.

Here the appropriate quotation from the help:
Gang the Reference Monitor and Program Monitor
You can gang the Reference Monitor and the Program Monitor so that both always monitor the same frame.
    Do one of the following:
In the Reference Monitor, click the Gang To Program Monitor button .
In the Reference Monitor’s panel menu, choose Gang To Program Monitor.
In the Program Monitor’s panel menu, choose Gang To Reference Monitor.
Both Monitors show the same frame. Moving the playhead in either the Reference Monitor, the Program Monitor, or the Timeline will move the playheads in the other two to the same frame.

Not to be confused with the title of this thread, because this tool will not work with installing most LaserJets, but try the HP Printer Install Wizard and let me know any error messages you get.
I will need to know quite a bit of information before I can be of much assistance, otherwise:
    1.  What error messages are you getting (ex. fatal error 1603)?
    2.  How are you trying to connect the printer (USB, wireless, etc)?
    3. What happened when you used the HP Print and Scan Dr?

  • The image color in Windows Photo Gallery is wrong, same image in other program color is correct.

This is the correct color form Google Image:
This is the color from Windows Photo Gallery:
It looks like it is a issue of Windows Photo Gallery bcause if the same image is opened in another program(Photoshop, paint, etc), the color stays same, the thumbnail color is correct as well. However, it is different in Windows Photo Gallery.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
    Thanks.

Windows photo gallery is not colour profile aware, so assumes your monitor is sRGB.  The same is true of the desktop wallpaper.  There is nothing you can do about this, other than use a different default picture viewing application as default, or convert your images to the ICC profile of your monitor (which you can do in photoshop).  I would only recommend this for wallpapers though.

  • Colors in Windows Vista

    Hi,
I am a little confused with the difference in colors in windows vista.
I have a calibrated monitor. Viewing the web, and when editing photos in Lightroom, all colors look correct.
That being said, when I export a jpeg and view with Windows photo gallery, the colors still look fine (just as in Lightroom).
If I were to apply the photo as my desktop wallpaper, this is when the colors change. I also notice the same difference
when viewing the exported jpeg's in windows mail after sending emails from my "sent folder".
I cant understand why windows photo gallery (correctly) shows colors but differ from my desktop or windows mail.
I have my saved icc monitor profile set as the default from my spyder 3.
Does anyone have any clues as to why. It seems the system should display colors the same??
Thanks for any help or advice.
    Dave.

In fact you can use this image to test if an app is color managed or not, if the colors match the text, the app is managed!
Just don't forget to click it to expand the pop-up forum image viewer. 'Cause the in-line image is converted to sRGB by Adobe's forum software.
Plus, color management has two ends: the image color space and output device color space. Some programs only respect one of these, therefore they are half-color-managed. For example, Chrome on Windows converts to monitor color space, but always assumes sRGB as image space. Windows XP images viewer does the opposite — converts from image space to sRGB instead of monitor space.
The test above only shows if the program respects the embedded profile, but not if the program converts to monitor space. In other words, Windows XP Image Viewer will be incorrectly considered color managed.

  • Cannot change JToggleButton background color when Windows XP theme is used

I wanted to change the background of a JToggleButton when it's pressed. I tried a few things, such as
    UIManager.put("ToggleButton.select", Color.RED);
    setting button's background, button's UI.
    but nothing worked.
so I tried changing desktop theme from Windows XP to Windows Classic, then i was able to set button's background.
The following is a simple test program, by switching theme, the toggleButton looks differently.
Does anyone know how I can change JToggle button's background color under Windows XP theme?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Hp 6110 all-in-one always prints in color on Windows 8

I would like to print some color documents in grayscale. But I am finding that no matter what settings I use in the Print dialog panel, my documents always come out in color. I am in Windows 8.1. For example, in Microsoft Word, if you go to File->Print, the Settings list contains options for which pages to print, one-sided or two-sided, collated, etc., but there is nothing for color vs. grayscale. So, if you then click a "Printer Properties" link, you get the detailed 6110 dialog panel with multiple tabs containing the full range of printer options. Within that, if you select the "Color" tab, you can check the "Print in Grayscale" box. Click "OK" to close the detailed printer dialog, which brings you back to the Microsoft Word printer dialog, where you can then click "Print". Document still comes out in color. I have verified a similar behavior when priting color PDF documents - there is no way to make them come out in grayscale.
I suspect the driver is also not respecting my specification to use "Fast Nornal" print quality.
So, a very clever strategy for HP to sell more ink! Can you please provide a fix?
    Thanks

    Hi @UsedToWorkInHPL,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that your HP Officejet 6110 all-in-one always prints in color on Windows 8. I am happy to look into this for you!
According to your printer's specifications found at this website, Printer Specifications for HP Officejet 6100 Printer Series. This printer is only supported for these Operating Systems: Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Microsoft(R), Windows XP.
There is no full feature software and drivers for Windows 8.1 for this printer.
One option to try and get around this, is to assign an alternate driver, please see this post, How to Assign Alternate Print Drivers in Different Versions of Windows, by @Shane_R.
Otherwise, I would recommend to please call our phone support at 800-474-6836 for your upgrade options to a printer that has the software and drivers available for Windows 8.1. • Color Corrector?

can you use key frames when using the color corrector, like say i want to have a video in black and white, then fade to color. Can i do that?

What version of FCE are you using? You can animate the filters by applying keyframes. Apply one to the desaturate filter at the point where you want it to be B&W. Go to where you ant it to in color, and change the value to 0. This is for FCE3.5 or later.
