Color distortion

does elements9 have focal black and white or color? where I can just focus on the color of one item(s) or change color of certain items(s). if so how do I use this?

To add to what Hatstead said, you might want to roughly select the area you want to change color so thatonly that area is changed.
In this example we want to change the color of just the 2 orange balloons in the center.
Select them.
Run Replace Color:
Use the left eyedropper to click on the orange in either balloon. The goal is to make the balloons in the mask as white as possible but leaving no white outside the ballons. If necessary use the middle eyedropper to click another orange point to add to the mask.
Further fine-tune the mask with the Fuzziness slider, but againleaving no white outside the ballons.
Adjust the 3 Transform sliders to get your new color.

  • Screen is grainy and colors distorted.

    Hi everyone,
Currently, my Macbook Pro (early 2011) is experiencing graphic display issues. My screen's is grainy and somewhat pixelated, which makes the color distorted. I resolved this problem once after closing and opening my lid (sleeping and turning it back on), but now that does not help anymore. I also noticed that, in the past, when I restarted or shut-down my computer, it would have random color distortions on the blue screen as well. When I try to take a screenshot of this problem and open the picture on another computer, the picture appears fine, so i'm assuming its an issue with my screen. Also, when I turn on "Automatic graphics switching," my System Profiler information still indicates that my AMD RAdeon HD 6750 is running.
How can I fix this problem? Thank you!

    System Preferences/Display/Display
Check the Colors & Brightness settings.
My Color setting is set to Millions which I believe is the default setting.
Now click on the Color button.
    Check Display Profile
Is Show profiles for this display only enabled or disabled?
If necessary click on the Calibrate button & do the necessary.
Now in the bottom right corner, click on the purple button w/the black *?* mark in the middle.  This will bring up the help window.
Midway down, click on the Colorsync Utility link.
The next window should be Profile First Aid.
Read & follow the instructions/details of About Profile First Aid: & do the necessary to Verify & Repair.

Apparently, this isn't the first time anyone has had the problem, but the first complaint was archived unanswered.

    HI,
Run the Apple Hardware Test to make sure it isn't the graphics card.

  • Transparency Color Distortion When Printing

I have designed something in InDesign and included in the template is a transparency that I created in Photoshop. It looks fine on the screen, but when I print the area that is transparent has color distortion. I have a host-based laser printer. Is there anything I can do to correct this using my current setup? Is this where I would somehow make use of the transparency flattener presets? If so, how exactly does that work?

Without seeing the distortion I'm only guessing, but it sounds like it may be YDB. See InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Eliminating YDB (Yucky Discolored Box) Syndrome

  • Color Distorted Screen Freeze

Have you ever seen a crash/freeze like this?  The screen goes completely bonkers, with a very pixelated color distortion, and is unresponsive.  One time I tapped the trackpad, and it flickered back to normal appearance, but remained frozen.  It's a 15" macbook pro, last generation model with all of the latest OS updates.  Any suggestions, warnings, and feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried latest VGA drivers from Nvidia? ==> http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

  • ProRes 422 LT color distortion in playback on pc

    Hi,
I'm trying to send prores LT files to a client so that they are viewable on a pc using quicktime. The files need to be edited further down the line, but I am not sure what operating system will be used at that time. After reading that ProRes could be viewed and edited on Mac as well as some PC editing software I downloaded the prores quicktime decoder.
This is the color distortion that results when viewing the ProRes 422 LT footage using QuickTime Player on a PC (XP SP2):

  • Aperture Olympus E-PL2 Raw Color Distortion and other issues

Hello there, Olympus Micro Four Thirds Fans!
So finally, Apple introduced Olympus E-PL2 Raw Support in Aperture 3. After some testing and troubleshooting there are still some issues remaining that sort of still leave the Raw option unusable for me:
The Apple Raw developer does not seam to read Olympus gradation curve settings properly. I usually leave the cameras color mode to "natural" which in JPEG gives the Olympus-typical beautiful documentary-style color accuracy. However, in Raw, colors get distorted in the most unpleasant way! Especially the greens get horribly oversaturated.
Noise reduction settings also are not correctly translated. I'm the type of Raw user who always wants to start from the camera settings chosen and who then wants to be able to tweak settings to perfection just a little bit. But all in all I chose an Olympus camera, because it does deliver superb white balance metering, decent noise reduction and beautiful color gradation right out-of-the-box.
SPEED! Aperture seems to be horribly horribly slow with Olympus .orf files. Lightroom is easily ten times faster in real-time developing of Raw files.
Did someone observe the same behaviour? How do you work around these issues, what is the best setup for the apple raw developer?
    Greetings from Esslingen am Neckar!

    Hi there!
I am now developing my raw files with Olympus Viewer. It is the only software solution that would deliver results close or identical to Olymus built in JPEG engine. Most of the time I need to get color reproduction that is as subtle and fine as the Olympus engine, but I do want to benefit from all the other postprocessing advantages that RAW has to offer.
Within Aperture I have not been able to get comparable color rendering.

  • Color Distortion with Mac Lion, CS6, Epson R2880 printer

When I had Snow Leopard, CS4 and Epson R2280, I got prints that looked like what was on the monitor.
When I bought a new Mac which switched my operating system to Lion, and Adobe recommended  I buy CS5 which I did.  When I went to print, trying every setting imaginable, the color was too dark, distorted and lifeless.  I called support on January 23, 2012 and they have not solved the problem YET.
I was very excited to try CS6.  I selected use CS4 profiles.
I printed a PSD file using Printer controls setting, color matching, epson.  The results are marginally better.  The pictures do not come out as dark but yellows turn green and greens turn blue.  Blues are sligtly darker and reds are off- mostly darker.  I got the same results letting photoshop control the colors.  This lack or responsiveness to changes in commands is the same thing I encountered with CS5.  I also tried printing an unadjusted raw file and the color did not change.
I know how to use the Epson R2880 so I chose the correct media and ink.
When I print from Apples preview or iPhoto, the color is perfect.
Given that Epson is a high quality photoprinter, Adobe should make it their business to be sure their product works with Epson.

I too have a MacBook with Lion and an Epson R2880..I'm in the process of evaluating CS6 on the
MAC platform after using PS and Premier Pro on Windows boxes since 1995; so far I'm
very impressed with how CS6 runs under LION given the somewhat strained
    relationship between Apple & Adobe..but I digress..my first attempt at a print
with Luster produced very distorted imagery compared to that of my Thunderbolt
display (which I love BTW)..I recognize the distortion almost certainly
that caused by either 1)an improperly selected printer driver in the dialoges or
2)bad or clogged ink jets or 3)a printer driver not updated for my new hardware/software
combo..in this case LION with CS6 (beta s/w)...now in my case its not #2 as I just
printed the same tiff file with CS5 on my Windows machine perfectly; its also not #1 cause
I checked & rechecked the matte settings...I suspect #3 is the culprit..I'll do some
more troubleshooting with this and report back..
Oh, BTW, soft proofing on my MAC TB display revelaed not distortions so even
tho I have done no monitor calibrations on this display I have no reason to
    suspect thatas the culprit..

  • Color distortion with transparency setting

I used RGB for all color settings.
In this illustrator-made pdf file(ill.pdf), I used transparency (the light gray). I use illustrator CS (v11) and saved pdf as pdf1.4. It looks okey when opened in adobe acrobat. I used word 2003 to convert some text and saved as pdf too (pdf 1.4, wordfile.pdf).
•When I use this page to replace the word-converted page, the color got distorted ( I am using bright blue, red etc here, as you can see).
The funny thing is, if I just insert the ill.pdf, the word.pdf takes it as the right color, only if I use ill.pdf to replace word.pdf page, the color got distorted.
Would anyone be kind enough to help me out?
    Thanks very much

    Wow, that sounds really simple.
I did suspect it was CMKY, but all files were specified to be RGB when I did the conversion.
So where did you see the CMKY ? Is that in the single ill.pdf? Or you replace the wordfile.pdf page, and saved it and then looked at it in illustrator?
And forgive me, where did you change it back to RGB?
I know wordfile is empty. My real file is of course, multiple pages with a lot of text.
I just opened the final version of replacement (or what you might have done). When I opened it in pdf, the color is distorted. When I opened it in illustrator, the color is right, and the color setting is RGB.
So I still can't figure it out.
    Thanks a lot.

  • TV Tuner Audio failure followed by color distortion (a Total Mess)

    Hi guys
    so this is my story
I've this MSI FX 5200 VT128 Personal Cinema for about 8 months and it's been working fine . After upgrading my Mother Board to GA-8IK100(v2.0) and my CPU to Intel P4 3.0 GHz HT  again the CARD WAS WORKING FINE ( the problem i'll explain has nothing to do with system config, coz it's been working).
One day i came up with the idea, HOW NICE WOULD IT BE IF I COULD USE THE AUX-AUDIO-IN CONNECTOR OF THIS CARD TO CONNECT IT TO AUX-OUT OF MY OnBOARD SOUNDCARD , although i couldn't find any instructions about this connector (White 4-pined coonector on this card) , i couraged to plug a proper cable between two(i'm an electronics Engineering Student    :hypecrite: and i couldn't see any NO NO in it), and the problem began here!
First of all, i couldn't hear any thing in this new config, so i removed the cable and used the LINE-IN cable as i did before, but no dice ! No sound !
I though something has went wrong onboard.
When i tried to do the same thing again (AUX theory!) to make sure it was not working ( after a second boot ), and it didn't as expected, a new problem came up!
After changing things back to noram,  While having no Audio the pictures i saw was great! No RED color , and a DRAMATIC distortion in what i can say was color!
Although think i've damaged the tuner badly ( electric shocks after restarts) ,
I want to know if there is any way around to bring this bad boy back to work?
    Can anyone help me?
(I can perfome Technical Fixings (replacing any component , or circuits if possible) )
Thankx for your patience after all(if u ever happen to get to this line )

So the right way is that:
check first visual for problems like burned cap resistors and then measured all diode around output connection somethimes for ESD protection company used shotky diode which are not work well with big current like your case.
Then if this is the reason remove all of them and asembly new
if the problems are coming from CPU on the card
forgot this card and bay new one !!!!
I hope this information you will got also from thechnical support staff :-)
So sorry this card like a bad hardware design release .................
a lot of bugs inside software and now hardware problems ....    ????
Any way try to find what are the electrical problems ..

  • Camera Raw Color Distortion?

I'm new to Photoshop. Currently, Im learning Photoshop through Adobe Photoshop CS6 Classroom in a Book. I found out that the camera raw plug-in seems weird.
    This is the original photo.
When I opened it in Camera Raw, the color of the photo distorted. ( I didn't do anything on it yet. )
Is it caused by software problems? Or did I accidentally tick something in the Setting/Preferences?
    Thanks for every helps.

    Thanks Guys,
    Conroy's answer solved my problem.
By the way, i found this small icon at the top-right of the photo in Mini-Bridge. What does it mean? It seems to open the photo automatically in ACR.

  • Why are my photos jarbled/color-distorted when I pull them into Photoshop?

    DETAILS:
    I'm using Photoshop CC 2014.
Photos were captured on my iPhone 5 and captured through Image Capture.
    PROBLEM:
I dragged two photos into a Photoshop file.  The first one imported fine.  The second one came in distorted (see below).  It seems to be a corrupted version of the first photo I dragged in, that is underneath it.  When I saw the problem, I deleted the corrupted photo layer and tried to drag it in again, and it did the same thing.
Then I realized I really liked the effect it was creating.  Every time I would transform (command T) the corrupted layer, it would redistort, with different patterns and colors (see below).  I kept doing it, trying to create different patterns.
Eventually, the photo imported correctly, and I couldn't get the issue to reoccur.
    QUESTION:
How can I recreate this effect?  Is there a way to corrupt/distort the colors like this intentionally?

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
    1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
    2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
    1. Right click images you want to share.
    2. Select Export version.
    3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
    4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
    See how you go.

  • Conferencing displays color distortion of my desktop to other participants

I got feedback from conference participants that my shared desktop is wildly colorful. Is this a problem with my monitor, graphics display settings? How do I fix it?

    Hi,
Is this on stbeehive or BeehiveOnline?
If stbeehive I would raise an SR to flag the behaviour and then we can investigate to see whether it is us or your environm, ent. We have not had any other reports of colour distortion so I suspect it is something in your environment - have you tried the various browsers available? Were you using the Desktop client or the JavFX client

  • Help! Photoshop edited jpg color distorts when imported into Muse

Okay, so I am trying to build a photography webpage (among others) and I edit most of my photos in photoshop. All photos that I edit in photoshop and save to jpg, look great when printed, uploaded to facebook, etc. however when I import them into Adobe Muse for and put them on my webpage, the colors of the photos become desaturated and/or slightly distorted (so that they look dull). When I edit images in lightroom and save them as jpg and import them into Muse, they look fine, but colors edited in photoshop seem to mess up my photos when imported into Muse.
    What am I doing wrong?!
    Susan

You are using some odd color management settings and not converting to sRGB most likely... Check your settings in PS itself and the Save for Web dialog and experiment around.

  • IPad Colors Distorted

I have had my Ipad for about 6 months and have had no problems with it. I used it off and on all day yesterday, and was using it this morning when the screen randomly became distorted. I turned it off and back on and the main screen was bright blue, rather than black, and the apple logo was almost rainbow colored. Now the entire screen is bright blue with some purple/pink colored stripes on it. Everything is so blurred and distorted that I can't read the text or differentiate the icons. It hasn't been dropped or had anything spilled on it, and like I said, it was fine- and then suddenly, it wasn't. It seems to be functioning fine. All of the icons still work, I can adjust the volumn, turn it on and off, etc... but I can't see anything.
I have tried resetting it by holding down the power and home buttons, and even reset all the settings... but nothing has worked. Has anyone else faced a problem like this?

My parents' ipad was doing the same.  I spent an hour resetting it, updated the software etc, but to no avail.  The screen was mainly cyan and magenta with no black or yellow.  The screen was flickerin on and off which make me believe that its a hardware issue,  There taking it in on Monday.
    Hope this helps.
