Color DVD tutorial

So the manual mentions a DVD tutorial for Color, and it's been discussed here as well. I have a disc called Final Cut Studio DVD tutorial and another called Final Cut Studio Tutorials, and while they cover Final Cut, DVD Studio, Motion and Soundtrack, I don't see any mention of Color.
So where is the obvious place that I've overlooked?

George,
I live in the UK.
Amazon. UK can not supply the book "COLOUR",sorry "COLOR'
I bought my copy from Amazon.com.
Despite paying $35 for P and P which ensured I received it in three days the overall cost was the same as buying from Amazon UK
Amazing.
Michael Craven.
P.S.
Brits have to pay too much when we buy in the UK.

• Do you recommend me "Learning Oracle 11g Training DVD - Tutorial Video"?

Hi
I found on Amazon "Learning Oracle 11g Training DVD - Tutorial Video by InfiniteSkills". Is it worth it? There are no Amazon reviews :-(
Do you use other video training? What do you recommend me?

I don't know if the video is any good, but Lewis Cunningham is a reasonably well-known authority on Oracle. He talks about the release of the video in his blog, gives a table of contents and a link to some samples:

• The 'marriage' of my DVD slideshow and DVD Tutorial

I have successfully transferred a photo album from iPhoto to iDVD, added music and burned a DVD. What I ended up with on the DVD was the Apple DVD Tutorial + my slideshow!
Where have I slipped in my procedure? How can I eliminate the unwanted Tutorial?

An Apple Tech rep expressed concern that when I open iDVD it opens with the Tutorial. I have not found any way to close it. Even when I begin my slide show by designating it a New Project and give it unique name, it still shows up as "My Slideshow" as a subhead in the Tutorial window. How can I close the Tutorial so this will not happen?

• Final Cut Studio Training DVD Tutorial

The DVD Tutorial is subtitled in Spanish, French, German and Japanese.
Why not in English? I'm deaf. Is there any way for me to get this DVD with English subtitles or captions?

I don't think so, but it might be worth a call to 1-800-MY-Apple for the answer.
Probably should be looking at other tutorials that are in print only...

• Looking for a particular color correction tutorial

I am looking for an online tutorial on how to do color correction if the video one is working with has color bars. This happens on a lot of analog videotapes that come to me. I know what my scopes are suppposed to look like when analyzing color bars, but I need something that shows me how to get from A to B.
If I Google some varient of "color correction video color bars," all I get is information on calibrating monitors.
I am using Premiere CS5.5
Thanks in adavnce for any response!

• Secondary color correction tutorial

Great tutorial by Karl Soulé, check it out.
http://tv.adobe.com/watch/short-and-suite/using-the-3way-coco-as-a-secondary-color-correct or/

That was a good video.
I like the stacking ability.
One thing I really liked was that it was created in HD.
I hate watching videos where they show the interface and its small or blurry. This one was nice and clean.
It also makes you want a RED camera too.

• Making a DVD tutorial for selling??

Hey all,
I was thinking of creating a tutorial DVD and selling them. I have made these (tutorials) before but never for selling. Anyone have wisdom to share??
- Should I NOT be using imovie/iDVD for this?
- Should I be concerned about pirating? My topic will photoshop techniques so it's rocket science or anything, so maybe not.
Thanks for you help.
-Dooki

Should I NOT be using imovie/iDVD for this?
If the themes work for you, why not? (I trust you also use SnapzPro X to make movies of your screen.) Make a disk image out of iDVD so you can easily make additional copies if you are talking about 'ones and twos'. If you are talking about 50 to 100 and up then you should look for a disc replicator to make the copies for you. There was a time they wouldn't duplicate writable media, but they do so now.
Should I be concerned about pirating?
You can't stop anyone from making copies as there is no copy protection available for writable media.

• Final cut pro tutorial dvd - recommendations

Hi,
I am looking for some advice, i would like to get final cut pro tutorial on dvd, aimed at an absolute beginner , i would appreciate any recommendations.
thanks in adviance

My first course of action is to buy the longest (most hours) DVD tutorial sets I can. Then I generally go back and buy one or more additional sets. Why? B/c programs like FCP are so complex that there are many different ways to do the same thing. The more time I spend watching the tutorials, the less time I waste in the long run trying to figure out how to do such and such a thing.

• DVDSP Tutorial trying to burn 1st DVD

I have gone through the first tutorial and am ready to burn the project. I have a Dual G-4 144. The tutorial disc is in the drive, when I try to eject it I get message "files in use". So I close out of everything, eject it. I put in a new empty disc and try to open the created project to burn. I get the message ""The following files could not be found" and then a list of audio, picture and video files. I thought I was saving the entire project with its files to my computer so I could open it and burn it without the Tutorial disc in the drive. What am I missing here? I tried to follow all directions carefully. I want to burn the sample project to see how it all works. Any suggestions?

You need to copy all the tutorial files to your dedicated media drive.
You may be saving the project to your hard drive, but the assets are on the DVD. DVD SP merely creates pointers to the source media. It doesn't automatically copy assets off the DVD tutorial.
You might consider a good book on OS X to understand why issues you've created.
Best of luck

• How did Apple do that on the Aperture tutorial DVD intro?

If you have the new Aperture software, on the DVD tutorial which came with Aperture, the intro that plays when you first play the movie is very good and I would like to know how they did this.
What I am very interested to know is on the index page for Output, there is an image of a photo album book, the pages turn on this book every few seconds and it looks very good, I would love to know how to replicate this.
Thanks

Man, that was really hard to find. You gotta go to the topic index page.
It's not easy in Motion, my guess is that, like the exploding photographs, it was done in After Effects.
A 3D plane in AE can have two faces and you can place the rotation axis along the far edge. As the page turns toward the camera, you get that distortion, elegantly portraying a page turn without the way too commonly-seen curling edge.
Back before AE did 3D, we would simulate this by distorting the first image, the front of the page, until it was vertical and becomes a single-pixel. You then switch to another image that runs the same distortion keyframes in reverse to lay down the back face of the page

• Is there a Final Cut tutorial pdf to go with the footage on the DVD

Hey There,
As you might imagine I'm new to all things mac just coming to final cut from Premiere Pro. When I was installing FCP Studio 2 the other night I could have sworn it mentioned a PDF tutorial to go with the content on the Apple Pro Training Final Cut Studio DVD Tutorial disk that was included with the install disks. My question is: Did I just misunderstand and there is nothing to go with the dvd ? Or is it somewhere and I just can't find it?
Thanks
Mark

This was helpful, but didn't really answer the question. Pressing Tab when I"m on the google Location Bar takes me to the search text box, which is what my motivation for writing the question was, but I notice that on many pages, it doesn't work. This page, for instance.
I went to the about:config page and changed the accessibility:tabfocus from 1 (tab through every element) to 5 (only tab to the text boxes and links) but it seems to still tab through every element.

• G5 with no sound from DVD's

Here's a strange new problem...
I CAN play a CD thru iTunes.
I CAN get tones for clicks, beeps, etc when I change settings on the Sound Preferences panel.
But, when I work on a DVD Tutorial, I can't get the sound from the DVD. And it's not one DVD... it's several.
What's happened?

I no longer have sound with DVD Player. I checked the audio output setting under preferences - there really wasn't much to select. Audio output was set to System Sound Output (the only choice) and "Disable Dolby dynamic range compression" was not selected. I have a MacBook, OS X 10.4.11. The DVD Player is version 4.6.5, Framework version 4.7.0. Was working fine and then when I tried to watch a DVD that I had been watching the night before, there was no sound. The video part if fine. The DVD is fine on a standard DVD player. Sound is fine using iTunes. Any suggestions appreciated.
