Color is different when printing on a disc

the big cartridge was low on ink and i needed my document printed (paper)
i got away with it by clicking fast on the warning and pop up windows that came and kept remembering my that i should not be cheap and wait for the catridge to be empty before buying 12 new.....
so i clic somewhere ordering the printer to print anyway.
but the next print job was a color print on a disc (thats the main reason of using this printer)
color are off ... i made a color test with greyscales and other test ..
the result are : on paper the color is perfect.
on a disc the black is RED !!!!
i include a picture of the 2 result.
we badly need this to print the color correctly on the discs ... it's the reason why we have this printer .. to make pretty discs.

  • HP Photosmart 7200 Colors are Wrong When Printing on Photo Paper

I'm running Windows 7 and am having a problem when printing on photo paper.  The colors are off; mainly green.  The colors are fine when printing on plain paper.  I have tried printing from my computer as well as straight from the media card.  Same result.  I am also using HP Photo Premium glossy paper.  Print cartridges are brand new and are loaded correctly.
Any solutions or troubleshooting tips I can try?

    Hi @Vay725,

  • Highlighter colors look muddy when printed from Acrobat 8, X, and Reader XI to Xerox WC7775, 7665

Highlighter colors look muddy when printed to Xerox WC7775, 7665(applies to Acrobat 8 Std, Acrobat X Std, Reader XI).  I tried the latest PS and PCL6 drivers from xerox.com.  How can I troubleshoot / fix this so highlighter colors look bright when printed?
When printing highlighted text from other applications (like Word) from the same computers to the same printers, the highlighter color is bright.  Users print PDFs for distribution to clients so they would like the printed documents to look good.
    Thanks

I have tried the WCS sRGB, scRGB and ICC U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 color profiles.  sRGB and scRGB are very slightly brighter than the default and SWOP but still much more muddy than the bright yellow from a Word document.  I just started digging in to this today so any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

  • Color management problem when printing

(sorry for the double post, since the problem affect both illustrator and photoshop and in fact also indesign) in decided to repost it here in the photoshop forum. thank you for any help!)
hi ! im in charge of a big print lab in a university. All macpro quad running on 10.6.4, CS5 all updated.
i  have a major problem when printing from all 3 CS5 apps : Illustrator  (being the worst), photoshop and indesign : each one produces a  different print even if i use the SAME color management options (the  application manage color using my own color profile file created with a  i-one tool from greta macbeath and using eye-one match 3). im printing  on a XEROX 7750gx laser printer. very cool printer never had trouble  with colors before with it, in any case it was always the software part  that was causing color problems (like i suspect in this case).
how  can 3 softwares under the same application collection and brand, using  the same color profile and options (IDENTICAL ! it's triple check all  the options!) can produce 3 different prints when printing the same  image (it's a color psd created under photoshop CS5) ?!
i  remember having some trouble like this when we first got CS1 in our lab,  but not this bad... i've checked everything... i realy don't know how  to fix this problem...
the best setting so far is in  Photoshop when the application manage the color and using my color  profile file in perceptual mode. best output so far, not the best i had  in the past, CS4 was way more perfect with color management.
i  realy need to find a solition 'cause the students expect the color to  be almost perfect (and they almost were using CS4 in the past...
thanx for any tips & help !

many thanx for your reply & help.
i've just recalibrated everything in my workflow : my screen (perfect!), my xerox 7750 color laser printer. i've recreated a new color profile file for the xerox color. and the same thing is happening : a kind of pink color all over my prints and every adobe's applications is printing different results. in photoshop i can manage the problem when forcing to print in perceptual mode. not perfect but it's fine. and with the other software specialy like ACROBAT and INDESIGN there's no option like this so it prints very badly. only option is to print in adobe 1998 rgb or SWOP cmyk (depending of the color space of the image of course)... the image is use for my test is RGB. images in CMYK are doing the same exact thing.
by the way for calibration is use an x-rite (greta macbeth) eye-one tool with eye-one match 3.6.3. i calibrate the screens and create color profile with this tool since ADOBE CS1 and never had this much trouble with colors...
here's a capture from photostop CS5 print dialog. when using the option "match print colors" you can see the image with all the PINK NOISE when using the print in RELATIVE colormetric mode (at the bottom right). using perceptual is "fine" (not color perfect but OK).
    http://i53.tinypic.com/qzge12.jpg
it's worst in Acrobat and Indesign since i can't use perceptual colormetric print mode...
im realy starting to think that i better uninstal CS5 and go back to CS4...
    thanx for your help !

  • HP D5640 printer prints green instead of black, but only when printing onto printable discs

Hi there,  im wondering/hoping that someone can help me solve this,  basically my printer works fine when im printing on paper, but when i put a disc in and try to print anything with black in, the black comes out as a bottle green colour, this has happened a few times before and i usually uninstal all the printer software off my pc, then reinstal it  and it prints fine, this time however doing that hasnt worked, ive tried all weekend and unistaled it loads of times and its driving me potty, ink cartridges are all fairly new so running low on ink aint the issue.
If anyone can help or advise me on this id be really grateful, oh ive also tried changing the rgb to adobe  too and didnt make any difference.
    thanks
    wendy.

    Hi there,
thanks for the message,  im using hp photosmart essential 3.5 to print to the disc, my operating system is  Windows  Vista Basic, and the printer is connected via usb.

  • Results are different when printing from CS5 and CS4

A file that printed fine with Photoshop CS 4 printed very dark when printed with CS5, with no changes made to the settings. Has anyone else had this problem?

RE: "You don't indicate what Xerox printers you have"
In my first post I named it, is that the information you need?
    Docucolor 3535 using Splash 3535
That's interesting, so I have to find a way to turn off the printer's Color Management function? I mailed them, hope they can tell me how to do it easily. They usually just tell me to not use any profiles and so on, but that's the general rule in this area, I'm really tired of hearing it. Everybody seems to think profiles and LAB mode are nuclear science and I should stay away from it.
Anyway, the test image I'm using is a simple photograph (size A3, 300dpi), so no transparencies at all. I'm placing this image into an equally large ID file and print it from ID, then export it to PDF-X/3 and print it from Acrobat. Hope that helps.

  • Cm3530 colored vertical line when printing

When printing over a wireless network (entire office is wireless but printer is wired), printout have a verticle blackish, blue verticle line on the left side of every page.  It does not happen when copying or scanning only printing from any PC.  I have changed the ITB and transfer roller.  This helps for a few days/weeks but the problem comes back.  I hate to throw parts at it again, ie, formatter or DC controller but I don't know what else I should do.  Anyone have any suggestions?
I have had this printer for several years and it is now out of warranty and issue has just started about a month ago.  Any suggestions is greatly appreicated.

  • Colors look weird when printing CS4 document

    Hi
Migrating from InDesign CS2 to CS4 gives me a problem that I cannot solve.
I checked all possible settings with the program, the document and the printer but still it looks like a profile mismatch.
Colors are way undersaturated or dull and flat. It comes close to as if assigning a srgb profile to a Adobe profile embedded photo. Sort of double profiling.
In my old system here at the office (medical photography ), I use Tiger OS 10.4 with a G4 Mac,  everything was fine. I remember though it took some time to get it right at that time. Never change a winning team, but I have to move to a MacPro with Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.5. As the old but trusty G4 starts to behave unreliable. Other info:  images (jpg) have an Adobe 1998 RGB profile, that's also my working space, and I print on glossy A4 paper using a dedicated printing profile.
When I print the same pictures straight in Photoshop 4 or 5 they look fine. On the profiled Eizo screen both the .innd files as the Photoshop files look natural.
I tried all different settings. In CS2 the Printer Color Management has an option to put it Off. That was also my former setting. In CS4 there are two option 1. Color Sync 2. Epson Color Controls. Either one of these two don't make any difference.
Any help or suggestion is appreciated, as I have no clue.
    Thanks
    Kees

As a Windows user I didn't pay enough attention to recall the specifics, but I remember there was a period of time when the monitor profile was introduced during printing.

  • How do I set the FireFox browser to be compatible with my Brother MFC-8840D printer so it will translate color into grayscale when printing from a webpage?

Hi, I have a question about setting the FireFox browser so it is compatible with my Brother MFC-8840D printer to print in grayscale. Currently, if I print anything in color, like a Google Map, the colored parts of the map show up blank, whereas the color should change to grayscale in a black/white laser printer. Brother tech support told me to contact Mozilla about this issue.
In comparison, when I print a Google Map on my dad's HP printer (also using FireFox browser), the color map prints perfectly in grayscale, so I can see all of the street lines.

  • Type 4 printer driver shows color is available when printer is not a color printer

I am working on migrating to a new Windows Server 2012 print server.  I am trying to use the new version 4 printer drivers whenever possible.  I have noticed an interesting thing.  Here is an example.  When I added a new printer, an HP
LaserJet P3005 black and white printer using the HP LaserJet P3004/P3005 PCL6 Class Driver, under "features" it reports Color as "Yes."  Now the printer is not color and I have noticed this on all of the other class 4 drivers for black
and white printers.  Am I missing something or is this supposed to be this way?  The printers do print fine, I just wanted to know why this is showing up like this.

Really a question for HP since it is their software.
BUT:  A class driver can be used for a wide range of devices.  If the core class driver HP added for the P3005 is also used by devices that support color then the driver itself DOES support color even when the device does not.   There
are a couple ways HP could code around this.  I do see that HP's PS version of the P3005 does not have a color option in Printing Defaults.
I have seen this type of issue from other vendors on previous operating systems, it's not just HP nor anything specific to class drivers although a class driver would expose this when the software to constrain the feature has not been added by the vendor.

    4) then select Advanced.

  • Color quality loss when printing...

My office recently bought a large Roland printer that is capable of a feature called "CutContour", where in Illustrator if you name a color swatch "CutContour" exactly and draw a line on your image with that swatch as the outline color, the Roland will cut where the line was drawn. It's pretty neat. The only problem is that when I open my pdf in Illustrator, by the time it prints, the color quality is dramatically decreased. (like instead of a bright blue, it prints a dull blue-violet color). I have already gone into Bridge and "synchronized" my color settings between my Adobe applications and have played a little bit with the color settings in Illustrator itself. I also know it's not the printer, because it prints the PDFs just fine only when I don't edit it in Illustrator in order to add the CutContour line. Has anyone ran into the same issue? I would really appreciate your help!

    marrs.leigh,
You may be changing from RGB to CMYK Color Mode (File>Document Color Mode).

  • Color cartridges used when printing black only

    Hi HP
We have had  a 6600 printer for about 13 months.
The color cartridges are used up when only printing black only
Recently we replaced all three colors cartridges - week before thanksgiving - 2014 and the cayan and yellow
cartridges are totally empty - the black cartridge is full and the printer does not let us print.
we did not print in color at all.
    what can be done?
    Please advise
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hello SteveKowaliw,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you have some concerns about the colour ink cartridge usage.
I am going to give you a document that will assist when you Cannot Print When One of the HP Ink Cartridges is Empty.
I am also going to point out one section of the document so you have a better understanding on how the printer works.
"The printers listed in this document cannot print when an ink cartridge is empty even though the other ink cartridges have ink.
Your printer is designed to print only when all ink cartridges have ink. A little ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic servicing tasks. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. There is no way to bypass this feature".
    Thank you for your time.

  • Experts? Colors completely off when printing images edited in LR-Help, Please!

I have one week left to get ready for a show that I have already dumped 3,000 worth of supplies into, but now that I'm ready to print, and I've imported and edited everything in my new trial of Light Room, my prints are completely off from my images. Even the photos that I originally started in Photoshop and then adjusted in LR are next to impossible to adjust to correction range.
I've been lurking here and on other forums for the past few days trying to solve my problem, but to no avail. I see similar problems, especially with MACs, but I finally brought a pc in and hooked it up to my Epson 4000, and it still makes no difference. I've tried to adjust my settings correctly, but my color profiles must be off.
Sure hope someone out there can help. My most recent expediture was all new ink cartridges, thinking this was the problem. Another 500.00 and over 100 bad prints later I'm begging for mercy.
    Thanks so much.

Here is a Histogram of you image. Do you really want it to print this dark? Or is it just the colors that are off? Of course I have no idea how you want it to look.
I would suggest download a know good test image and see how it looks on you screen and also how it prints. That will give you the best idea of where you are going wrong.

  • Lr4 and Blurb layouts are different when printed

    Hi all,
I've recently received a printed photo book from Blurb, I did the layout in LR4 on the "book" module and then sent it to Blurb to be printed.
There were a couple of double page photos and obviously i set all the photos out with complimentary photos on facing pages.
However I just received the book from Blurb and the pages are all pushed forward (or back) a page so the double page spreads are now half a photo on the same page but opposing sides and the rest of it has been all thrown out also....
The LR4 layout has the pages numbered and facing each other starting with 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 etc as I would expect, however my book is 1, 2-3, 4-5 etc so 1 is facing the cover sheet.
Blurb are saying that it's either due to Flash and Java not being up to date (which they are) or sending the file over a wireless connection and I should try hard cabling....this makes no sense to me as a connection isn't responsible for page numbering.
They have been good enough to print the book again but I need to know how to get around this problem before so. Anyone had a similar experience or know where I'm going wrong?
There are some pics so you can see the problem....the first 3 are from the Blurb preview and final printed book...the last 3 are screenshots from the LR layout showing how I would assume the double page spreads and other photos would turn out....
I did preview the book on the Blurb website (just out of interest) after I had uploaded and ordered it, it was the same as the printed book, before the printing process began I ask Blurb suport to check it for me and resolve it but they didn't know how it was going to look for some reason or didn't quite understand the problem...one person was trying to tell me how to put actual page numbers onto the book....
Anyway, all and any help appreciated...

No. In both cases, the TIFs were simply placed into the document and left untouched from that point forward.
