Color issues while printing photos

I recently was able to successfully set up my iBook G4 wirelessly to my Windows-based Dell PC printer network (HP all-in-one printer). I've been printing documents and color banners etc. and everything looks great
I have also added my HP Photosmart 7660 to my G4 wireless printer list. However, when I go to print photos on glossy 4X6 paper, the colors are bright, but there is a red-ish filter over everything.
I had changed the cartridge just previously to printing with my iBook so I went back to the store and swapped cartridges thinking I may have gotten a bad one.
When I got home with the new one, I randomly tried printing a photo directly from my Dell and the colors were perfect. I tried again from my iBook and the colors were still wrong.
This led me to believe it was my computer and not the cartridge that was having issues printing the right colors. I looked in the Mac Help under colors + printing and saw some vague info on ColorSync and making sure your printer is set up correctly for it.
Does anyone have any light they can shed on the situation? Does it require downloading specefic software?

Just a heads up - you might wanna check to see what driver you are using. Reason I say that is most host based printers are finnicky when it comes to networking (especially wireless) and typically they want to add to your printer list using Bonjour/Rendezvous or Appletalk. If you have added the printer as an IP printer, you may have it setup using a driver that is not designed for your printer (this may happen via Bonjour under some circumstances too). To check to see what driver your printer is using, go to the hard drive, then Applications>Utilities>Printer Setup Utility. Highlight your printer name then click Show Info and this info window should tell you the driver it is using. Also, you might want to check the printer manufacturer's website for a driver update - 10.4 is relatively new and the driver software you are using may be out of date. Or, you may want to setup the printer USB to yer Mac to rule out the network setup altogether. If everything looks on the up and up as far as the driver is concerned, you might wanna try a little bit of trial and error with varying the print settings. In the Print dialog box in iPhoto, go to Advanced Options, then click Copies & Pages and try to find the Quality and/or Color settings for your printer. Try varying color settings and also make sure that the proper media type you are using has been selected. Eventhough the printer is the same, remember that you are using different applications on completely different operating systems and this can definitely have an affect on the way color is interpreted.

To be honest, I don't see borderless in your settings, but my doing that on my printer causes a default to the larger Tray 1.

Issue while Printing Barcode

Hi All,
We have an issue while printing Barcode from SAp script.
We are using the barcode BC_C128B with font HELVE 10. We can see proper length of bar code
in print preview but when we take the print of the Bar code the dimensions of Bar code get doubled.
Could you please provide some expert inputs?

Use SE73 and change the font in the barcode as per your requirement , if this barcode is used in any other programs then copy this barcode to Y or Z name and change according to your need and use it in your program

Epson R1900 Color Issues Only Printing From Lightroom

Hi all - my first post here thought I've been reading this forum since I purchased 1.1 a while back. I'm using 1.4.1 with XP Home, service pack 3. I've had very few issues with this release (which is why I haven't jumped to 2.X yet). To date, I've occasionally printed snapshots with an HP 1115, but most printing has been through labs.
I recently purchased an Epson R1900 and I've been unable to get colors to print remotely correct through Lightroom. It looks to me like the color is getting managed twice, regardless of the settings I use. The R1900 driver allows a preview before actually printing, and the colors it shows are always off by a lot, regardless of whether I let Lightroom manage color or the printer.
Other less sophisticated programs do not have this problem. I can print a JPEG image through Windows Photo Printing Wizard or a pdf through Adobe Reader with much closer correlation to the monitor. Prints from the HP 1115 are comparatively much lower quality, but through Lightroom or other applications, color is within reason. I'm assuming there are others that are successfully using this printer with Lightroom running on Windows XP. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I solved my color problem by updating the printer driver to version 6.60. When I discovered that a newer driver was available I had attempted to update it but it would not install correctly. I contacted Epson for help, but only received links to non-relevant information. I eventually determined that using MSCONFIG to keep all nonessential programs from starting would allow the driver to correctly install. Simply shutting down all user launched programs and my virus software was insufficient.
Prints are definitely on the dark side, but I've been able to compensate as Dan has suggested. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with the prints it produces on Epson Premium Glossy, and am looking forward to experimenting with other papers and ICC profiles. Thanks all for your help and suggestions.

I went to apple services server with this problem & they said they didn't see any errors.

That often happens with cameras when you take pictures of a computer screen. LCD screens "flicker" and the camera will often catch the flicker.

Color issues when printing AI files on PostScript

First off, please forgive me if this is not the right forum or if I am not using the right terms. I am the network admin for our company and I'm posting this on behalf of our designer.
We recently added PostScript drivers to our Sharp printers, and we have been seeing odd printing results when printing embedded .AI files.
We use CreativeSuite CS5, and our developer has hundreds of images with pure white and transparent backgrounds stored in .AI format. When these images are embedded/linked to an Indesign document they print with a solid black background and what appears to be an inverted color pattern, almost like a photo negative.
All embedded EPS files print fine. The affected .AI files print fine when printed directly from Illustrator.
The embedded images print fine using a PCL driver. We are trying to implement the Postscript driver for better color quality.
Any ideas?
(We are using Windows XP SP3, x86
Server based network printing on Windows 2003 x86)

Strange issue while printing invoice *** delivery challan

Dear experts,
I have a strange prob while taking out the printout of invoice ***/delivery challan.
We have two different locations (plants) A and B.
In sapscript layout we have defined GRN no and truckno in bottom windows and
type of invoice on upper part windows.
We are able to see complete output on preview in DEV,QAS,PRD
but on PRD when we take printout , part of output gets skipped on printing
though visible otherwise on preview.
What could be reason ?

Generally you face such problems in HP Printers.
Are u using HP laser Jet Printer .
Ok let me generalise the issue , you gotta ask ur basis guy to istall the latest driver for that printer
this will most probably solve ur problem.
Remember that once u get the print preview right , its either problem with the Basis or the printer.
If its a Z layout then ask ur Basis guy to check the internal setting as to at what height he is giving the page skip.

Random Issue while printing a document

Hi All,
I'm facing a very typical issue where the alignment of the layouts gets changed randomly while taking printouts. For ex. whne we print Invoices, we require 4 copies, the user prints 1 copy first and then prints 3 copies. At times, there is alignment issue (distorted lines) during the first print out and at times there is issue in the copies.
This issue is purely random. We might get the issue say for invoice no. 3, but if we try to print it later, it gets printed without any issue.
What might be the cause of this??

Hi,
In our case, since every printer have different settings we created PLD for each printers.
Example in you case.
PLD for HP Laserjet 1022.
PLD for HP laserjet 1010 AND
PLD for Sharp 5316 printers.
Thats the only option you have left.
Or you may convert to PDF then print which is very long process already

Having issue while uploading photos from PC to Iph

Hello,
I am having Iph4, recently I have started facing an issue when I upload the photos from PC to my Iph. Every time when I sync my iph with my PC photos, it is shows up two albums in my Iph...one with the name of photo gallery and other with the name of album which I uploaded from PC to Iph. Both the folders contains the same photos.
I am not able to understand, why it is getting saved twice in different folders in Iph. I also have the Ipad2, and when I have uploaded the photos to Ipad, then it is working fine, showing only one album that too with the same name which I uploaded from my PC.
Can anyone help what I am doing wrong here?

When you use iTunes sync you don't copy the photos into iTunes; you select the photos but you don't copy them into iTunes. The following has instructions: Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support

Issue While printing / Previewing a Adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP application

Dear All,
We have designed 4 different adobe forms using SFP transaction for 4 different countries in SAP system.
Every country have different terms and conditions and therefore we have placed static texts (Hardcoded text) with text in different styles. Some text is in bold, some in different font (Bold, Italic). Font and Paragraph settings of the text was done as per expected. All the forms have same font and paragraph settings.
When we Launch Web Dynpro ABAP application to open the form in Print preview or to take print, form is not getting displayed / printed as it is designed in SFP. But if you open the form in SFP, everything looks fine.
It is working fine for 3 different forms but problem with only 1 form.
Kindly guide what is the reason for this strange issue when previewed or taken print. It is very urgent.

Thanks for your responses.
We had identified the reason.
Customer has provided terms and conditions for all 4 countries in PDF document. Along with PDF, for 3 out of 4 countries customer has shared pre-prepared word document with pre aligned and justified terms and conditions as per expected outcome. We copied this text from word to Adobe form layout. It worked fine. For 1 country, customer have not shared terms and conditions in word document. Therefore we had copied text directly from adobe PDF document in to Form layout. Then this issue happened.
Solution for this issue is to, prepared a word document with expected alignment and justification of terms and conditions text . Then copied from word to adobe livecycle designer form layout. It worked fine.

Issue while printing the BSP page haveing radio buttons.

when you use radiobutton in BSP (<htmlb:radioButton) they are rendered as images. so to get it printed , in your browser (IE) go to tools->internet options->advanced->printing and check the check box against "print background colors and images".
now try printing it should be fine.

Pantone color issues while PDFing

The company I work for designs/publishes a magazine and have just been upgraded from CS2 to CS4. Since then, I've started having some problems when I PDF or print an ad. I'll receive an ad as a PDF and a component of their ad will be a Pantone color (typically logo). When I PDF the magazine page, the logo will change to another color. It's as if it doesn't recognize the color as CMYK. This also happens sometimes when I print. Any suggestions?

Some further clarification may be in order.
Spot colors ar not CMYK, though they might have a fairly close approximation. Most magazines don't offer spot color support, so everything must either be designed in CMYK, or converted. There are MANY spot colors that don't have good CMYK equivalents, and for those you will see a color shift after the conversion. Checking the "use Lab values" box will probably get you the closest possible match in a properly color managed workflow.

Issues while printing!!

Hi all..
I have a daily job which generates output to a spool and thereby to a printer.
Got an issue from the user that the printouts are not proper..
ie., the first page prints properly in a landscape fashion and rest of the pages are in portrait manner and that too fonts enlarged.
And the other daily jobs generated properly the report ie., all the pages in a landscape manner.. and not in porttrait and large fonts.
Is it due to ABAP coding or printer related issues..
Please advise...

If this is an issue with just one user or just one printer, then, naturally, it's an issue witn how SAP communicates with that particular printer.
If this is not working properly for any user or printer, then it's an issue with whatever is used to create the spool.

Smartforms : T&C issue while printing

Hi Experts ,
The requirement : I have print T&C at the back of first page always for a given purchase order .
What I have achieved : I am able to display T&C at the back of the first page . But this happenes only when I have Purchase order
line items moving to third page .
The Problem : If Purchase order is of one page , I am not able to display the T&C at the back of first page .
Setting that I have done :
I have three pages . Page 1 , Page2 , Page_2 .
Page_1 ---> Logos and details of line items of PO .
Settings here : Next page as Page_2 , Print mode --> D
Page_2 ---> Has terms and conditions .
Settings for page 2 ---> Next Page as page_3 and print mode ---> S
Page_3 ---> It is for the continuation of data from page_1 when it overflows .
Setting for page_3 ---> Next page as page_3 and print mode ---> S.
Please let me what shall i do to get the T&C on the back side of the first page when i have PO printed only on page 1 and there is no need of page_3 .

In a particular transaction there is a text field where the user could enter unlimited text. I have developed a smartform to display the texts. I wud explain the problem with an example.
