  • Photoshop CC: Is it possible to turn a color logo in to a brush?

I am trying to make a fairly simple color logo in to a brush in order to easily put it over a large number of photos. Is this possible? I have created a brush but can only get it in greyscale. I have also tried the pattern stamp but don't want multiple logos. Thanks!

You best bet is to use Place or Paste where you create a color logo and save it as a file like PSD or PNG that supports transparency.  Using Place will make your logo a smart object layer.   Create your logo Larger then you ever want to use it.  For Smart object layers scale like raster layers so a Place or Pasted in logo will scale down in size better the up in size.  You can also add a layer style to placed or pasted in logo to add some nice effects.
Though it not the easiest thing to do you can also automate the process of stamping your logo onto any image size document with an action.  A little utility script is needed in the action to maintain the documents original resolution.  For to be able to scale your logo to the document size you need to scale the document to a known size add your logo the scale the document back to its original resolution.  The scaling does not change the image quality at all not a single pixel is altered all that is done is the documents DPI is changed to scale you image to a known size add the logo then return the document to its original DPI resolution..
    Example:
Crafting Actions Package UPDATED Aug 14, 2012 Changed AspectRatioSelection Plug-in script added Path support.
    Contains
    Action Actions Palette Tips.txt
    Action Creation Guidelines.txt
    Action Dealing with Image Size.txt
Action Enhanced via Scripted Photoshop Functions.txt
CraftedActions.atn Sample Action set includes an example Watermarking action
Sample Actions.txt Photoshop CraftedActions set saved as a text file.

  • How to print color logo?

how to print color logo using smartforms?is any printer configuration needed for printing color logo..?

    brainbytes,
Currently, Kuler does not support direct printing of themes. You can anyways, copy the theme to swatches panel(via kuler panel or through the downloaded ASE file) and use a product like Adobe Illustrator to create a document that can be printed using those colors. Alternatively, each theme within kuler has a URL(Referred to as Theme Link within a them description, when more info is selected in the website) that can be used to show the theme to a client. All public kuler themes are accessible via the URL in any flash supported browser or through the freely available Kuler AIR application.

  • Can't get a color logo to print in color

PostScript newbie here... I have two issues with a postscript image I'm trying to print.
I have a green logo .eps file that I print to an HP color laserjet printer via a Linux server, but the logo only prints in greyscale.  I have reviewed the image code, and tweaked the code to specify color (e.g. changed the "image" command to "colorimage"), to no avail.  Can anyone assist me in getting a color printout?  Here's the main part of the code (specific image bits removed):
    %!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0
    %%TemplateBox:0 0 188 78
    %%BoundingBox: 0 0 235 97
    %%PageOrigin:0 0
    /width 188 def
    /height 78 def
    /pixwidth 235 def
    /pixheight 97 def
    /picstr width string def
    /dopic {
    gsave
    width height 8
    [width 0 0 height neg 0 height]
    {currentfile picstr readhexstring pop}
    image
    grestore
    } def
    pixwidth pixheight scale
    dopic
    (image bits here)
    %%Trailer
    showpage
The second issue is that I can't get the image to embed in another page - that is, when I call the image to print in a C program, the printer spits out the logo on a separate page.  The goal here is to embed a color logo (the .eps file) into a certificate, where the rest of the certificate contents are generated by PCL commands.  I've been able to embed a PCL image (too much aliasing) and an HPGL image (plotter print dulls sharp corners), but the .eps file doesn't want to play on the same page as the certificate.  Any ideas?
    Any help is appreciated!
    - Bry

I found a resolution for the color issue.  As I mentioned before, I am trying to print an .eps image - out of frustration, I converted the image to .ps on the off chance that the printer would read the image differently.  Sure enough, the printer liked the .ps format and printed a color image.  Go figure.
Still can't get the logo to print in the body of the certificate, though.  I removed the showpage command from the end of the file and tried to reprint, but that just prevented the image from printing at all.  Some PostScript code investigation suggested that replacing showpage with the command show might do the trick - but no luck.
Still digging - I'll post the solution if and when I find it.  And as always, if you have other suggestions please post them.

  • Printing Problem for color logo

    Hi All,
We have a color logo in delivery sapscript. Sometimes the deliveries doesnot print becuse of the logo, if we go in se78 and display the logo , then we are able to print the delivery.
Can anyone please tell me why this is happening and what solution is there for this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nimisha Deshpande.

It seems the attribtues of the Logo are not proper.
Try by removing the "Resides in the Printer memory" attribute of the Logo.
To change the attributes, proceed as:
    Go to SE78.
    Open your logo.
    Press Chnage attributes button
    and Save Attributes.

  • Pinting Color Logos on Different printers

    Hello Smartform Guru's
We have a Color logo and this needs to be printed on different printers company wide. We checked with test Printer (Lexmark) and looks good. When printed on HP Printers, Colors with light shades is lost.
Any body know how to handle this?
Or do we have to use B/W Logos only?
    Regards
    Prasad

This is due to the differenct printer drivers.  The correct drivers must be configured in the system for the output device.  There is nothing that you can do in the ABAP and/or the form to fix this.   Its all about the drivers that you are using for the output device.

  • PDF/X1a with a logo containing a colorized grayscale tiff not printing properly

I have a 3 color logo: black, PMS 200U, and PMS 1955U. The logo was built in Illustrator and I have placed grayscale tiff ontop of it. The grayscale tiff is a stipple (dots) effect that I colorized to PMS 1955U in Illustrator, masked it out on top of the logo, and set it to multiply. Within Illustrator, the separations look good and it prints fine when printing directly out of illustrator.
The problem is when I export it to a PDF/x1a and try to print it, it doesn't print properly. Printing from acrobat, it only previews and prints the PMS 1955U stipple and black. The flat PMS 200U under the tiff doesn't print. I've tried bitmapping the photoshop file and making the stipple monochromatic and still doesn't seem to work when exporting to a PDF and printing.
Funny thing is, when I do the whole process for the CMYK logo (not PMS), it all prints out fine as a PDF/x1a.
Any ideas on how to get the logo to export and print properly?
    Any help is much appreciated!!

Press quality uses PDF version 1.4 which supports transparency while PDF/X-1a uses PDF version 1.3 which requires transparency to be flattened.
For your issue, try enable Overprint Preview in Acrobat preferences and see you are getting the expected results, use Output Preview panel in Acrobat to turn off individual plate to see if your missing PMS 200U is listed and flat color appears.
If the above does not works please send me the files to reproduce this issue at my end, i will send my email in private message to you.

  • How do I replace 2 pantone colors with 2 new pantone colors globally? I have a 2 PMS logo with many tint variations in it . When I replace PMS in Swatches pallette. The logo does not globally replace the selected color. es

I have a 2-PMS color logo with many tints in it of the 2 colors. When I replace the  swatches in the logo to new colors, they convert from Book Color to CMYK. Can the printer work with that? How can I kee it a 2-color separation?
    MaryFl

This is what I understand. You have a logo in a document that uses PMS 'A' and PMS 'B' colors and you want to change to colors PMS 'C' and PMS 'D'. If this is correct there are different ways to do this, but here is a traditional way:
Make sure Select Same Tint is turned OFF in the Preferences. And all objects are unlocked in the document.
Get the two PMS (C and D) in the document's Swatches Panel.
Select PMS 'A' and bring the 'Fill' box in focus.
From the Select menu choose Same > Fill Color.
Click on PMS 'C' in Swatches panel to replace all PMS 'A' fills with PMS 'C'.
    Deselect all.
Again select PMS 'A' and this time bring 'Stroke' box in focus.
From the Select menu choose Same > Stroke Color.
Click on PMS 'C' in Swatches panel to replace all PMS 'A' strokes with PMS 'C'.
    Deselect all.
Similarly using the same approach replace PMS 'B' wit PMS 'D'.
If you have CS3 / CS4 and the PMS colors in the logo are easily identifiable, you can use Live Color to change the colors pretty easily.
    Hope this helps!
    - Neeraj
New Note: If there are gradients / blends that use these PMS colors the above approach would not work, but Live Color can.

  • Created a CYMK vector shape logo in photoshop, now need to change to spot colors HELP!?

I have created a 3 color logo with vector shapes in photoshop CS6.  The problem is the client wants it to be 3 spot colors rather than CYMK.  Does anyone have a quick and easy way for me to change the individual vector shape layers into various spot colors instead that maintains the vector quality?  I don't want to have to redraw all these shapes.  Help would be VERY appreciated with this.

Your client is speaking in the language of Illustrator, in which spot colors represent specific, sometimes specialist colours.  I can think of no reason why you can't use Photoshop, but ask the client if they want to provide you with values for the spot colours?   If I understand it correctly, the printer will interpret each of the three spot colours you use, to represent the specific inks/colours the client needs.
Use spot colors | Adobe Illustrator CC tutorials
You encounter it sometimes when printing catalogs which contain sponsor logos.  I can remember once getting an incredibly detailed PDF from Canon on how we could use their logo, with warnings of dire consequences if we got it wrong.

  • Problem with color in pdf files

    My documents contain color logo.
Whenever converted into pdf file, I always see color logo in the pdf files.
Today, the logo came out to be in black and white.
I repeated many times even with Adobe PDF (printer driver).
But logo came out in B & W.
I am wondering how to fix this problem.
I currently use WinXP Pro SP2-Acrobat Pro 7.10.
NOte: Last week, v. 7.09 was updated to 7.10.
I wonder this update contains a bug which produces B&W image.

    Please ignore this post.
I would like to ask the moderator to delete this post.
(note; I found that theproblem has nothing to do with pdf but with the original xls invoice douments).

  • How to change the logo in the display of the 7912 and 7940 ?

    i convert the logo.bmp with atributes to logo.logo with bmp2logo and i create el gkdefault.cnf upgradelogo:10,10.67.3.67,logo.logo
    i must do more ?
    thank a lot

You can use the idle url to display a custom logo which can be composed of text, custom softkeys, and pictures (special "cip" black/white images for 7940/7960 and color PNG images for 7970). You can have set the idle url as an enterprise parameter or on individual phones, so you can have color logos for your 7970's and CIP images for other phones (and some phones may not use the idle url at all, if you configure it that way).

  • Color Report prints in Color from Viewer, Black & White when send to PDF

RE: Crystal Report sent to PDFBlaster
    Hi,
I have a Crystal Report that contains a Color Logo. The particular problem that I am facing concerns sending the report to PDFBlaster.
When PDF BLaster is selected as the "PRinter" from the Crystal Viewer Print Button, the report is rendered in color. However if the PDFBlaster is selected from my Windows form, and SelectPRinter is used to print the report to PdfBlaster, the report is rendered in Black and White.
I noticed that this happens if my default printer is Black and White printer. IF the default printer is color , then the report is rendered in color regardless of whether it is printed from the Viewer or not.
Is there a setting that I can use to preserve the Report's properties? It seems to me that I am losing the "color" properties of the report when I use the ReportObject.SelectPrinter method.
    Thanks in advance for help/advice.

    Hello,
    Moved to Legacy SDK forum.
You did not say what version of CR and I don't believe this is .NET either so I moved your post where the RDC is posted. In any event what you discovered is what likely you need to do. Add another printer and set the default option to print color. Then when your app selects the printer use that printer.
CR Engines do not have a specific API to set the Color option, you select/set it in code first.
    Thank you
