Color not saturated

am still trying to determine if this is a problem i see on my video ipod or others have seen something similar...
problem #1
video out via s video connector on ipod dock and displayed on ntsc capable lcd tv.. colors look unsaturated. same video when viewed on pc through quicktime, looks fine,.. colors are not that unsaturated).
note that the video was authored using quicktime pro and in h.264 format with the highest bitrate possible.
any remedies for this?
is there some color conversions taking place internally within the ipod on the analog video output path that causes this level of color unsaturation and if so, any work arounds?

using some high end video processing gear.. is that when the ipod video plays back sometimes my video processing gear indicates the video is dropping out of film mode even though i know the video was authored in film mode.. wonder if this has something to do with video decoder buffer overflows and such..
problem #3:
when ipod says that it can support video coded wigth constant bitrate of say 1.5Mbps, is this an averaged number which is the bit count average over one second worth of coded video frames.. if so, what about the peak rate?

The color on my iPod to the TV doesn't seem to have a
lot of saturation.. On the computer in iTunes, it's
perfect. On the iPod LCD, it looks fairly well too..
On the TV, it's dull..
Either S-Video or Composite, it's dull.. I tried
NTSC and PAL, both have dull color. (my TV is an
HDTV, and it does both NTSC and PAL for it's
Composite/S-Video inputs)..
I tried other TVs in the house, same thing, dull
color.. It's like I have to boost the color up on
the TV...
EDIT: I mainly use PAL though, because of the
superiority over NTSC...
actually i am seeing the same thing on our ipod and i take the S video from the dock and run it to the TV (NTSC system). I am wondering .. is this an issue in the color profiles used within the ipod or is the digital to S video conversion internally in the ipod making some color signal compromises.

Spot colors not showing correctly in the output preview as well as the page correctly. I have a spot pms
295 on a page in a few different areas of text and backgrounds. The spot color shows on 1 of my backgrounds
and text and a spot color on another background does not. These items are on the same page. Although I
can use the eyedropper to check the color of these items and it states the spot color is present. The page
also prints correctly. Previews not happening.

I included 3 screen shots from Acobat 11 of the test requested. Also, included the last screen shot from Acobat 9 of same file.
Which shows correct preview. To eliminate possible ICC profile issue. I did change profiles to all that were in the profile list
with no change in either test.

Colors not printing correctly. Only blue and black work.

I just got a new HP OfficeJet all in one inkjet 8620 printer. The colors aren't printing correctly. Everything comes out light blue with black lettering. I tried installing new cartridges (genuine HP) and also tried gently shaking the cartridges. But the problem persists.

If the test pages are printing properly, it could be a software issue.
What operating system are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. Make sure it shows just the printer's name.
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the printer's name. (Officejet 8620)
If the full printer name isn't listed correctly, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.
Let me know how the printer name was listed.
From the application, make sure you are selecting the proper paper type.
Try another application to see if you have the same issue.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

AHH! Help! colors (not b&W) are negative - blue to orange etc..

All colors (not black and white) are inverted. the ol' universal access trick / control/opt/cmd/8 trick doesn't work! tried recalibrating colors to no avail.

Layer Background color not support on AP Element

Hi I am new to dreamweaver. I just started learning how to
use it, and I can't figure out why when I am validating the
browser, I kept on getting a message that the layer background
color is not supported in the AP element. I looked at my code and
it seems fine. All I did was just insert the AP layer and I change
the background color. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thank you. That's telling you that layer-background-color is
NOT supported
in those browsers (in fact, it's invalid HTML, being
supported only in IE5
and earlier). You should use CSS to specify colors, not the
Property
inspector, and you will avoid such traps. In fact, in CS3,
when you use the
Property inspector, the proper CSS is written in the
stylesheet for you.

Color not changing on Selected Menu tab

I'm creating a custom css and in doing so have been trying to change the text color of the selected menu tab. I've added it to my stylesheet but it is not changing upon running it. If I change the menu tab specifically via the properties of the tab, it will change. Is 'color' something we can change?
Here is a snipet of my css:

Your '.' before af|menuTabs is wrong.
It's just "af|menuTabs::selected" not ".af|menuTabs::selected".
Also, you need to use the ::selected-link pseudo-element to style the color of the text.

Photoshop's "Background" is a special layer and does not support transparency. You need to convert a Background layer to a normal layer if to want to cut out parts of the layer.

Why does color not have a 1440x1080 Resolution preset?

1. Why does color not have a 1440x1080 Resolution preset? Im using ProRes HQ in FCP and clips at 1440x1080. But when they come out of Color they are 1920x1080? I notice from color there is no 1440x1080 Res preset so strange?
2. In addition ive also noticed that I dont have the choice of 'Original Codec' in the render codec settings. Only ProRes, ProRes HQ, Uncompressed 8bit and 10bit. SO i use the higher quality 10bit.

Ok, I class myself as a patient person and not one to fly off the handle. However, Color is testing me to the limits. I cannot work out for the life of me how this application is trying to handle my footage.
I sending 1440x1080 thats been encoded 1440x1080 50i. This footage is ending up in the Color pref settings or as 1920x1080!! Secondly when I send this back to FCP obviously my Sequence will have changed to match 1920x1080.. thus up scaling the whole project! Then if that weren't enough, taking a look at the data-rates in the clip settings of the Color Sequence they read in excess of 131.5 mb/s My HDD give up immediately! (Is one supposed to render the timeline first once this footage is back from color? - i dont just mean because of the transitions etc)
Now.. to yet further confuse the issue I then do a Render ALL in FCP and the Color Sequence plays back fine though still with the wrong Resolution of 1920x1080?
to be frank, i just dont know where to start with this.. it seems 1 step forward 3 steps back each time. I can appreciate Im new to this but I thought I knew enough not to encounter such petty problems as just setting Color up for import/export. Im going to say it... Is this a Color problem or what? I dont think there are many of you using PAL with HDV into ProRes HQ or ProRes so I guess its going to have to be a £200 call to Apple? .. Which I probably wont do..

I have downloaded ios7.1 but the folders and the bar below have a grey color not transparent or even a blur color like all the iproducts (i have iPad 3) the problem was after the iOS7.1!! What shall i do?

You don’t use selections. The adjustments apply to the whole image. You can alternatively select Curves instead of Hue/Saturation and apply the adjustments to highlights, shadows etc.
Otherwise you need to make a duplicate layer and apply the layer mask to make adjustments to a particular area.

Why does my Premiere preview video not match output video? Colors, sharpening, saturation, etc.

The right side is Premiere. The left side is Windows Media Player. My export settings are attached.
WTF? The actual output is way more grainy, oversharpened, higher contrast, and oversaturated. The same thing happens when played with VLC and YouTube.

The problem is you're not using a properly calibrated external TV to judge the quality of the video. You really need that stable reference. Computer monitors and software players just won't do.
Computer monitors are more than up to the task of judging end results of encodes and exports. The encode the O.P is producing, is for the purpose of display on a computer monitor. What value is using a "TV" for this purpose? Definitely do not use a CRT TV for any QC purpose. CRT tubes even on the best of reference monitors had a useable reliable life for QC purposes of about 2 years. They have not been produced for a lot longer than that now.
You may have a point about the various software players.

Do you check your export by using the OUTPUT TAB in the Media Encoder?
Your settings appear to be perfect for the purpose (as long as you have Un Checked the 'Use Previews' setting)
If this is checked it uses the NLE preview files to encode your export.
What was your second screen grab taken from?
