Color of highlighted pages in the Pages Pallet?

A new option for menu items is to change their highlighted color.
When you highlight "select" pages in the Pages Pallet... it is a light blue which is hard for me to see.
How do I find the right menu in in the menu colorization options to change this?

If you're on a Macintosh, the highlight color is NOT set in InDesign. It's in System Preferences > General > Highlight Color.

Camera Profile color rendition in highlights - rings around the sun

i It's a repost from the Labs forum. Since it's closed now, and I have an unanswered post from Thomas Knoll, I'll repost it here.
I took one of those hard scenes for Lightroom - a sunrise - to see how it handles color and highlight rendition around the sun. I alway loved how Capture One was able to render a soft, almost film-like, roll-off in such scenes, where Lightroom/ACR often created multi-level rings around the sun.

Lightroom's color almost exactly matches Nikon's, but the way the highlights are rendered around the sun... well, you see.
I have tried to play with the settings in LR (recovery, curves) but couldn't repair it while retaining overall color and tone. Tried the Profile Editor: kinda could hide the rings by setting the lightness of the appropriate color to about 10 (saturation didn't help), but that made the image a little darker too. Compensated with the tone curve - worked well, but other images (with colors other than orange, like in this one) were a little "broken".
So, the profiles a little beta indeed.
P.S. Btw, the base curve of Nikon's camera matching profiles (see in the screenshot) looks a little strange with the highlight almost under the ceiling. Canon's base curves look more common.

Some feedback on the profiles in Lightroom for my EOS 30D ...
I'm also finding banding around bright suns and in sunsets with Lightroom.
I get the banding in different variations with all the different profiles in Lightroom: Adobe Standard, ACR 4.4, Camera Standard, Faithful and Neutral.
Here is a side by side comparison with the outputs from Canon DPP (Digital Photo Professional) and Canon RIT (Raw Image Task):

The fall-off around the sun is much more natural using both Canon's DPP and RIT. I'd say the banding is worst using ACR 4.4, but the other Adobe profiles also produce a sharp yellow circle around the sun which looks pretty ugly.
Also, I'm surprised that the camera matching profiles in Lightroom aren't closer to the DPP picture styles than they are. I was under the impression they were visibly identical.
This comparison was made with all the default settings used, i.e. brightness 50, contrast 25, medium contrast tone curve in Lightroom and contrast and saturation at 0 in DPP and RIT. White balance "as shot" in all apps.

OA Framework - Help Needed in highlighting one of the rows in Custom Page

Hi Oracle Gurus,
I am new to OAF.
I have a requirement like I have to highlight one of the rows in a Custom OA Page.
These rows exist in a table structure,they are basically Claim records of the employees.
All these rows are from only One View Object. I just need the total row alone to get highlighted in different color.
I tried updating the Custom.xss file in $OA_HTML/cabo/styles.
Below is my Custom.xss file

The VO has decode operation that decides the CSS style which will be used via Controller.
I have applied the CSS file thorugh the Controller code that I have given below.

I am successful in Interating the rows of the table.
I am being able to print out the view attribute "EmpDep", But when I tried highlighting the row attribute using Row object,it is throwing me an error.
The error code is :

Well, it might depend on the nationality of your keyboard, but on my US keyboard, the tilde ("squiggle") is above the TAB key; on a Mac, ⌘-TAB cycles through the active applications and ⌘-tilde cycles through the windows in the front application.
When you do a Find, Pages selects an instance of your search text (the next one after the current selection, I think, but I didn't check that). It doesn't make the document window the front window, though. If you click in the window to bring it to the front, it moves the selection (or insertion point) to wherever you click unless you click on or above the ruler. Try clicking at the top of the document window after you do a find; say somewhere near the document name. Now you should see the highlighted selection (your search text). If you click back on the Find window, the selection will go grey again, unless you hold ⌘ down while clicking.

Unzip and and copy the .dvtcolortheme files into /Users/YourUsername/Library/Developer/XCode/UserData/FontAndColorThemes Create the directory if it doesn't exist.
If you can't find the Library directory you can get to it by using Finder's "Go to Folder..." option under "Go" or press shift + cmd + G then type the path.

It sounds like you have chosen a publishing template rather than a word processing template. There are two basic modes in MS Word: word processing and publishing layout. Word processing mode (and all word processing templates) have a continuous text box in the page for writing text. The publishing layout mode (and publishing templates) are documents that have text boxes placed for articles, titles, pictures, etc. Be sure to choose the word document template and you’ll get what you expect. Do not choose the word publishing document.

PDF Color issues with Pages 09

I made a new Page Layout document with Pages 09. I created my own page templates for this document. The left page of the document uses a wide blue filled band and the right page uses a narrower blue filled band.
Both use the same exact color. (I'm even using the DigitalColor Meter app to show me this.)
I exported the finished file to pdf using the best setting. When I open it up in Adobe acrobat reader, I now have two different colors. One is purplish, the other is navy blue. This is visible on the PC screen. If I open it up in Preview on my mac, they are all the same color.
Any ideas?

There is a legal side and a technical side. The legal side revolves around antitrust issues, apparently. The technical side revolves around the same issues as in the past.
Through cross-licencing, Adobe Systems controls the composition model and the configuration of composition products at any point in time.
At the Seybold Conference on Computer Publishing in September 1989, John Warnock stated that the proposed protective separation of character processing from glyph processing was "garbage" - according to the New York Times.
In December 1990, the PostScript Language Reference Manual, Second Edition, Appendix E, published how drawing ligatures, small capitals etc would be done by overruling the character set.
This is the road to destructive drawing: it sacrifices content-based spelling, searching and sorting for the sake of appearance-based composition.
The Apple developer discussion stated in 1992 that a composition model that can draw a glyph design if and only if the glyph codes is directly depicted onto a character code is disastrous.
By the time QuickDraw GX was available in q3 1994 there were at least 15,000 Adobe Type 1 products and at least 100 million licences (there were 22 million licences in September 1989).
By promoting the Adobe Type 1 library, and in particular the Adobe Type 1 Expert library, Adobe destroyed the text services of Apple Mac OS, simply.
Microsoft TrueImage was discontinued partly because PostScript Level 2 does not support the screen in its colour management model and partly because Adobe Type 1 and the PostScript use of a completely configurable name space instead of a coded character set allows Adobe to overrule the OS text services at any time.
When Adobe in April 2002 made the the Adobe OpenType library available on the Adobe Font Folio, in place of the Adobe Type 1 library, Adobe applied the same tactic. Because Adobe bases PDF on PS and because PS ignores intact SFNT indices as well as intact ICC indices, Adobe based PDF on the completely configurable name space model of PS. For this to work in synthesising source character specifications it is necessary that the name space be configured with ISO-IEC 10036/AFII glyph identifiers or with ISO-IEC 10036 character identifiers.
It is also necessary that the glyph stream be passed into PS in reading order and not in geometric order, that there be a linear relationship of characters to glyphs in the processing (problems with bidirectional ordering and with functions like insertion in AAT e.g. for Khmer), and of course that font-indenpendent identifiers in fact by implemented by all concerned - which they are not.
XPS revolves around keeping the source character string intact, PDF does not revolve around keeping the source character string intact (not for lowend office typesetting of the Latin script, at any rate). At the Linotype Typotechnica in April 2007, Adobe announced that configuring CMAPs with PUA would not be discontinued - it would be continued.
In other words, technically Adobe is using the completely configurable name space of PostScript as a weapon against Microsoft just as it used it as a weapon against Apple. But the problem is that Adobe publishes no documentation with its type products informing the customer in the EU of how the type product is in fact configured, and that may or may not be illegal.
Personally, I don't have a problem with PUA drawing provided it is documented in order that the everyday enduser understands that the ISO-IEC 10646 standard character set is being overruled and that a synthesis has to take place from a private name space model, but if this is not documented then the everyday enduser is made hostage.
This is where Adobe's tactical use of type as a strategic pawn in its struggle for the digital document market becomes politically problematic. How are we ever going to rid the Mac of Adobe Type 1 'Expert'? Adobe and Linotype spent a fortune marketing the idea that correct type was done by changing the correct text. Utterly braindead from day one.

Image color in jpeg doesn't match backround color in web page

I made a simple panel in photoshop and used the #number for the color selected to fill one side of the panel in my CSS code. When the page is rendered there's a very slight difference between the panel and the background which I expect to be exactly the same.
Am I doing something wrong?

This is normal behavior for Photoshop, or any color managed application.
There are ways to guard against it. The root of the problem is that jpgs
are color managed by Photoshop, while the web background is not.
You may be able to do an end run around the problem by using a transparent
png image instead of a jpg. If you want to stay with a jpg image, the
simplest solution is probably to turn Color Management off in the drop-down
in PhotoShop's Color Settings (accessed via ctrl-shift-K). Another
possibility is to assign (not convert) your image to your monitor profile.
It is also highly advisable to use sRGB as your working space. Do not
embed a profile if it is important that the jpg's colors match the non
color managed objects on the web page.
If you do embed a profile - for example the sRGB profile, then color aware
browsers will convert your jpg images to the user's display profile, and
the person viewing your web page may see a mismatch between your carefully
prepared jpg and the background.
It is conceivable that certain color managed browsers will default your
image to sRGB, and perform a color conversion even without a profile, in
which case you will see a mismatch no matter what you do. If that happens,
you may be able to do something tricky, like use a scaled png or jpg image,
filled with your background color, as your background.
The key point to remember is that gif images, and numeric web color values,
are not color managed by color aware browsers, but jpgs are. Including an
embedded profile in the image means that the browser is free to convert the
colors in a jpg image. Result: different color numbers.

No color on Web pages... they're just blah

For instance, take link http://money.msn.com/ on my computer there's no color, no banners. On my wife's computer - same Web site there's a richness in color. It didn't use to be this way. I screwed something up and can't figure out how to get things back the way they were.
My wife and I are running Win XP SP3 on desktops & both have the latest Firefox version.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

You mean you want to create a shorcut to a website on your home screen? If so, go to the site you want to create it for in Safari, tap the share button on the top left (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Add to Home Screen. Taping this icon in the future will launch Safari and take you to this site.
Not sure what you mean by home page for iCloud, but you can't go to icloud.com from your iPad if that's what you want to do. You have to go there from your computer browser.

Legend color on Home page misleading

In P-track Application while creating project the colors for Hot is RED, Watch is Yellow, No issues is Green,Complete is Black and Unknown is no color.
But when same legend is applied on Home page No issues and 'Unknown' are displayed is green due to which there is mislead in Project milestone display?
Is there any way to change the color codes ? If yes how to change the color codes ?

I'd recommend against changing the HTML color codes; those are used in a couple of places, and were chosen to ensure that text remained readable.
So, your color codes should look like the following:
Color Name - Color Code - Sprite X -Sprite Y
    RED       #e10         0            0
GREEN       #0c0         0          -80
YELLOW       #fd0         0          -40
BLACK       #aaa         0         -120
   GRAY       #F2F2F2      0         -160You should see an appropriate colored dot in the Sprite column of the report when the offsets are correct.
That said, it sounds like your status code color assignments may have gotten out of whack. To check these, go back to the administration page, and click through to Status Codes (first item on the left). Make sure the statuses are assigned the following colors:

<li>Watch: YELLOW
<li>No Issues: GREEN
<li>Complete: BLACK
<li>Unknown: GRAY

BBC One Highlights page not displaying content of its panes

Why does the BBC One Highlights page not display the content of its panes?

There seems to be something up with their javascript that produces slightly different image url's than on other browsers.
Instead of something like this:

it's producing say

which doesn't exist.
