You will need to define the colors, etc, in an HTML document for the signature, otherwise things like link colors will be whatever the receiver's defaults are.

  • How do you HYPERLINK a web page address to an EXCEL document in Firefox like is possible in Explorer

How do you HYPERLINK a web page address to an EXCEL document in Firefox like is possible in Explorer?

When you follow a hyperlink in Excel, usually it should open in your default browser. You shouldn't have to do anything special in Excel to create the link when Firefox is your default browser compared with IE. However, the Insert Hyperlink dialog might work differently. I think it might be able to automatically pre-populate a URL from IE, while in Firefox, you need to copy the URL from Firefox's address bar and paste it into the Insert Link dialog.

  • PNG changing colors using save for web (CS2)

Im having a problem with making PNG pictures when using the "save for web" function (this also happens in Image ready)
I make an image in sRGB color space and chose "save for web" and set the settings, all looks fine and i save it as png8 or png24.
Then when i view it in a browser the colors af "off" (desaturated) ??
But if i chose "Save as" in Photoshop, and chose png, and save it that way, the color macth up and looks allright.
What im a doing wrong ??
I have made a test with to sets of colors / picture one with "websave" color and one without then save them "using save for web" in gif, jpg with profile, png8 and png24
The gif and jpg goes well but the png's colors goes "off"
I also saved the to files using "save as" and here the png's colors looks fine
(Ther are also some screendums of my color setting, "save for web" setting and my screen profile if that can be of anny help
    http://home19.inet.tele.dk/jgom/pngtest/
Also! can anybody tell me this ?
When using "save as" i cant chose what png im saving as ? (8 or 24) What type of png dos PS use when you save it like that ???

Now I've read up on it, it seems the issue is indeed gamma.
(I really appreciate the "that's impossible, you must be doing something wrong" comments, by the way. Not "hmm, I don't know," but actually "what you've described in detail isn't happening; you're imagining things." Super helpful.)
Anyway the real question is: is there a way to stop Photoshop from including gamma data? It's apparently an optional portion of the PNG spec.
The whole gamma thing is unfortunate, but the *really* unfortunate bit is that Photoshop includes this information at all, particularly in a Save for Web context.
Most importantly, it seems this has been an issue for some time (Google "PNG Photoshop gamma"), and PNG is usually used for web, so why on Earth hasn't Adobe addressed this? Let's not forget that Photoshop is the industry-leading tool, and the Extended version costs $1000 by itself. The only options I've seen for saving as PNG in PS so far is sRGB conversion, bit depth, transparency, and interlacing. This whole gamma thing seems pretty unacceptable behavior, even by default.
I'm looking into pngcrush; does anyone have a simpler solution to strip the gamma information? Of course, if there's a way to do this in Photoshop itself, please please let me know.
    Thanks.

  • Hyperlinks to web pages don't work in Captivate 7 or 8

When I design hyperlinks to web pages work but once published they don't. How do i get hyperlinks to web pages to work in Captivate 7 or 8

I should have read that more closely.
It doesn't seem to apply. The only reason that would matter is if you were running the SWF-output from Captivate locally.
ALWAYS test your product from the web to avoid any such security issues.
But yes, if you're putting the published file on a local/network drive, then that security change will need to be applied and, yes, for every computer that accesses the file.
You definitely want to distribute from an HTTP location.
I did hope the first part of that article would help. They're not difficult to setup once you find the option. Just highlight some text and right-click to setup the hyperlink...right?

  • Color managed workflow for web and camera raw

I recently calibrated my monitor and was wondering what is the preferred workflow for the web? I shoot with my camera in sRGB and my working space in Photoshop is sRGB aswell. The problem that has arised now is that the color managed colors in Photoshop are way different than the non-color managed in my web browser. Is this normal? And what I don't quite get is how a photo that has an embed sRGB profile looks the same in Firefox (that understand embed profiles) and Photoshop, but in Google Chrome (that does not recognize embed color profiles) shows the colors very differently, although the browser should understand the photo is in sRGB by default and show the same colors that are in Photoshop, right? So what happens here, because the colors are not the same? What information does Photoshop assign to the embed color profile that makes the colors so different?
Anyway, I assume the problem here seems to be my newly calibrated monitor profile. The only way I can get the same colors to my photo in Photoshop and to a photo in web is to use soft proofing set to my Monitor RGB AND save without a color profile. Is this the way to go? But here comes another problem. I shoot in RAW and use camera raw to edit my photos. Camera Raw doesn't allow soft proofing, so I'm stuck with these color managed colors that are so different from non-color managed colors I get in my browser that any color correction in Camera Raw is simply useless. Unless everyone was using color managed browsers and I could start to use fully color managed workflow, but that's not the case I suppose. So, what's the solution here?

First off, you need to be working in sRGB, or converting to sRGB when you save out files that are destined for the web. You can change the color space that Camera Raw (ACR) send your raw files to by clicking the blue text in the bottom center of the ACR window. This is probably that safest workflow for you until you get a handle on color management. If the color of your images is very important, you might consider embedding a color profile in them, which will help color managed browsers render your color properly.
If your display's color gamut is different than sRGB (many are), you'll find matching colors for non-color-managed browsers to be impossible. But consider the average display and take heart. The best you can do is correct to a standard and hope for the best.
Both the convert to sRGB and embed color profile options are in the save for web dialogue box.

  • PDF hyperlink to web page displays web page behind PDF

We have a development which generates a PDF including hyperlinks to web pages. We issue the PDF out as an attachment and users then read the PDF an click on the link.
The problem we are experiencing is that some users have the web page fire up behind the PDF. So if they have Acrobat Reader in maximised mode and then click on the link the resulting web page doesn't get focus and so they don't see it (very frustrating). This behaviour only occurs on some PC clients but we can't nail what makes it display the page (or not).
We are using a standard desktop of min config Windows 2000 upwards, IE6 up, Acrobat Reader 7.0 up (but we also get the same thing happen on 7.1.0 on some desktops).
Can anyone point us to the component controlling this.
    Regards, Mark

The code to do it is:
    app.launchURL("http://www.google.com", true);
But keep in mind it's not going to work if the PDF file is opened in non-Adobe PDF viewers.

  • Color of Hyperlinks

I do not want the color of the hyperlinks to change. Right now they react like normal web page and change from blue to red once the link has been used.
How can I set the color to always be one color, and not change if the user clicks on the link?

    Hi Jordan,
I had tried this before my post, and it works for me very well. I am using Oracle Reports 10g. When I simply create a hyperlink on the EMPNO column for say http://www.oracle.com and generate an HTML output file, clicking on any one EMPNO changes all the links to red, because the Oracle website has been visited once.
However, in the same report (RDF), if I go to Paper Layout, and click on the text color icon to change the color of EMPNO column to blue, then in the output HTML file - the EMPNO link always remains blue, even after you have clicked EMPNO to visit the website.

  • Pages: create pdf documents with hyperlinks to web pdf files

    Hi everybody,
I've created a pdf file with Pages, it contains a number of hyperlinks some of them work and the others don't.
The ones that works are linked to an html page, and those non working are linked to pdf documents on the net (still beginning with http:// but ending with .pdf).
I don't know ho to solve this because Pages automatically create hyperlinks and the only options available are email, pages document, web page and bookmarks.
    Any suggestion?
    Thx

Hi Jeff and thanks for the reply,
the links work perfectly in the pages document but one I've exported it in pdf some of them don't work anymore.
I don't see any difference in the url structure of the pdf links, they are copied ant pasted from the url box of the browser.
Here's one of the link that don't work
    http://www.enpap.it/documenti/elezioni1317/NOTAI_COLLEGIO3_SUD_E_ISOLE.pdf
Could the problem has something to do with the underscores or capital letters? It would seem strange but I don't know what's going on.

  • How can we hyperlink a WEBI report to a .PDF or .DOC in any location?

    Hi All,
I have a WEBI report which has a column called Country(Values US, UK). I have some .pdf files in my local machine and BOE server. Could anyone let me know how can I hyperlink the report to the .pdf in my local machine and in the server. There are two cases as below as questions to be answered.
    Case 1
When I click on country column, a single .pdf file should open irrespective of the column values in my local machine/server
    Case 2
When I click on country column, a .pdf file should open with respect to the column values in my local machine/server
I would be grateful if it is answered asap.

  • How can I change the color of chart in webi report

    Hi :
I create one Webi report including one table and chart  In BO 4.0.
The chart  display  the relationship between sales-amount and profit amount . I do not want to use the default color but want to specify the red color for sales-amount and yellow color for profit amount . How can I do it ??
    Thanks Very Much
    Emily MA

    Hi,
You can change the color very easily. It's simple & straight forward which I found it couple of days back. (Sometimes simple things are hard to find :-p )
Select the area in the Chart that you want to change color, then go to Format > Style > Background color. Now select the color that you want. In the attached picture, I have selected Yellow color for a piece of pie chart.

  • Colors not displaying in WEB GUI

    Hi,
In WEB GUI, I am unable to see the colors in my ALV Grid when the fields are in editable mode where as in SAP GUI am able to. There is no problem when the fields are in non-editable mode.
Can you help me out to view the colors in my ALV Grid for the editable fields in WEB GUI?
    Thanks,
    Adithya M.

You might be out of luck, because usually there are no specific settings for the WEB GUI. And one of the problems with WEB GUI is that it doesn't support all the functionality which is offered in your standard GUI. So it is possible that this is exactly one of the scenarios WEB GUI doesn't support. That is also the reason why not all SAP transaction work in WEB GUI. We had issues with parts of TEM transactions not working via WEB GUI.

  • Photoshop CS3 color management "Save for Web" problem

This problem is getting the best of me.......
After spending 3 full days researching this problem, I am no closer to finding an answer than when I started. I still cannot produce a usable image through the "Save for Web" feature of Photoshop CS3. I have read web page after web page of "Tips, Tricks and Recommendations" from dozens of experts, some from this forum, and still I have no solution... I am exhausted and frustrated to say the least. Here's the simple facts that I know at this point.
I have a web design project that was started in PS CS1. All artwork was created in photoshop and exported to JPG format by using "Save for Web". Every image displays correctly in these browsers (Safari, Camino, FireFox and even Internet Explorer on a PC).
I have recently upgraded to PS CS3 and now cannot get any newly JPG'd image to display correctly. My original settings in CS1 were of no concern to me at the time, because it always just worked, and so I do not know what they were. I have opened a few of my previous images in CS3 and found that sRGB-2.1 displays them more or less accurately. I am using sRGB 2.1 working space. Upon openning these previous image files, I get the "Missing Profile" message and of course I select "Leave as is. Do Not color manage". CS3 assumes sRGB-2.1 working space, opens the file, and all is well.
The problem is when I go to "Save for Web", the saturation goes up, and the colors change. The opposite of what most people are reporting. Here's another important point... new artwork created in CS3 does exactly the same thing, so it's not because of the older CS1 files.
I have tried every combination of "uncompensated color", "Convert to sRGB", "ICC Profile", etc. while saving. I have Converted to sRGB before saving, and my monitor is calibrated correctly.
I have tried setting the "Save for Web" page on 2-up and the "original" on the left is already color shifted before I even hit the "Save" button. Of course, the "Optimized" image on the right looks perfect because I am cheating by selecting the "Use Document Color Profile" item. Why do they even have this feature if doesn't work, or misleads you?
Does anyone have any ideas what could be happening here? Why is this all so screwed up?
CS1 worked fine out of the box.
Final note: I do have an image file I could send along that demonstrates how it is possible to display an image exactly the same in all 4 of the browsers I mentioned with no color differences. It is untagged RGB and somehow it just works.
I am very frustrated with all of this and any suggestions will be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Pete

    >> First of all... I'm using an Adobe RGB image master... I open it and get the Profile Mismatch Screen... I choose Use Enbedded profile... all looks well. Next I go to Proof Setup > Monitor RGB... again all looks well, no change that I can tell.
This has further confused the issue on several points, not the least of which version PS you are doing this with?
    >> AdobeRGB> Convert to Profile > Working Space sRGB-2.1... all still looks well... but now, when I go to Proof Setup > Monitor RGB... I see the insane oversaturated look that is driving me nuts.
That is your strongest clue...it sounds like you have a bad system or bad monitor profile. To rule out the monitor profile: Set sRGB as your monitor profile in System Prefs> Displays> Color.
    >> Adobe RGB image master... I open it and get the Profile Mismatch Screen... I choose Use Enbedded profile... all looks well. Next I go to Proof Setup > Monitor RGB... again all looks well
That doesn't make sense, stripping an embedded AdobeRGB profile should desaturate the color in Softproof MonitorRGB, especially the reds -- you have something wacky going on there.
At this point I think you need to review the links and get a grip about how color management and profiles work...
BTW, forget about setting ColorSync in PS COlor Settings, use Adobe ACE.
    MO,
I think SFW is fixed under CS3 :) By default it Converts to sRGB and strips the profile.
