Color of images in content panel changes (purple)

When viewing bridge on my old CRT screen in the last 2 days when I click on an image in the content panel, it and 1 or 2 images either side of the selected image receive a very vivid purple cast. The rest of the images in the content panel are fine as is the preview panel image of the selected file. If opened in photoshop CS3 the image is fine too. Only the selected image and a few others change colour. Most of the files affected have a rating of 1 star and no label, changing the rating or the label makes no difference. If I clear the cache the purple cast disappears until I click on an image again. I tried clearing the whole cashe in the preferences and that made no difference. This is the case for many folders on 2 seperate discs. When I move the bridge window across to the 2nd screen (an LCD screen) it is fine, move it back to the CRT and the pruple cast appears again, the cast is only on the image not the background or the text below the image. So what can cause do this, I don't think it is the screen that is the problem or the whole screen would be affected, and I don't think it is the bridge software itself as it would not happen when bridge is on the LCD screen, I don't want to setup bridge permenantly on the LCD screen, I just want it back the way it has been working for the last 2 years. I am using vista operating system (mad as I am!!) has anyone any suggestions?

Thank you for replying: If I increase the size of the image the purple cast stays with it. The cast is removed if I clear the cache for that folder but only until I click on an image and then it and at least 2 others receive the cast. It has to be a setting somewhere in the cache that is wrong, as I have deleted the cashe folders and reopend Bridge and the purple images are not present until I click on an image. I cleared the whole cache for the whole of Bridge which removed the cast until I clicked on an image. I have just tried removing the preview window, when I do that then purge the cache the problem goes away, until I reinstate the preveiw window then the selected image receives the cast again (immediately) so there has to be a link between the preveiw window, the chache and the image selection. I am using Bridge 2.1.1.9. on a PC using vista with SP1 installed. Has anyone any suggestions?

  • Combining image and text in accordion content panel

    Hello,
    I'm having difficulty displaying image and text together within an accordion content panel.  What I need is a thumbnail photo of a staff member plus a short bio.  I've put a panel together so it displays as needed in Live View, but not in IE8, Foxfire8, or Chrome.  I'm using Dreamweaver 5.5, Spry 1.6.1, Windows 7.
    Here's the code for the panel that includes an image not displaying:
    <div class="AccordionPanel">
    <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Stan Swiercz, Training Manager</div>
    <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
    <div class = "PanelImage"> <img src="/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/></div>
    Bio text goes here</div>
    </div>
    Here's a link to a test page (ignore funky color variations, still settling those).  The panel that is set to open should display an image floating left with text wrapping, as it does in Live View.
    http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/people.html
    I''ve double-checked documentation, help, and done searches, but can't find any information about what should be an easy thing to do.  Any help out there?
    Thank you very much,
    George

    The location of the image is http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/images/StanSwiercz.jpg (click the link to see the image)
    This is the markup from your document <img src="/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/> which means that the image is located in the images folder which is located in the root directory.
    Hence the image cannot be found by your document.
    The following are possible solutions, please choose one only
    change the location of the images folder to reside in the root directory
    delete the leading slash from the link as in <img src="images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/>
    change the link to an absolute value as in <img src="http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/>

  • Changing color of Image in PSE 8.0

    I have a logo design that is black on white.  I'd like to change the black to another color - in this case, blue.  I wqas able to do it, but it ended up being quite convoluted.  What are some simple ways to change the color of a selected area in Elements 8.  I'm using a PC, BTW.
    Thanks!

    Thank you.  I found another way that's even simpler.  I chose the paint brush, set the mode to lighten, and then just painted over the image with blue - the white didn't pick up any of the blue, but the black did.

    1. Select the black (use the magic wand if it's all one color).
    2. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue Saturation.
    3. Turn on the colorize checkbox in the layers panel, and move the sliders till you see the color you want.

  • Since moving to Aurora 23, I've lost my image management controls in the Options' Content panel, what can I do to get them back?

    I have no more image options in my Content panel.
    I have to open an about:config window to turn images on or off. But that's the only blunt instrument I have. I cannot specifically allow certain websites' images and block others.
    This has happened since upgrading to Aurora 23.

    So next question if you've an answer: what's the future of those bugs? Is that the course the Mozilla team is now taking to make things simple for majority users?
    The changes have been implemented. They're very likely turn up in Firefox 23, which is slated for release around August 7th.

  • HT3669 My Epson Perfection 1200 scanner functions as a flatbed scanner but when I try to scan transparencies the control panels change in  Image Capture but the scanner bar will not complete the overview scan  & cannot travel beyond the first 2/3 centimet

    Epson Perfection 1200 scanner continues to function as a flatbed scanner but when I try to scan transparencies/film negs the control panels change in  Image Capture but the scanner bar will not complete the overview scan  & cannot travel beyond the first 2/3 centimeters. All the communications seem to recognise the scanner and the mode for the intended scan but the necessary overview scan is not completed, nothing comes up on the Image Capture scan window. If I unplug the film adaptor I can get a document scan. When I plug in the adaptor again the Image Capture details change which allows me to select the type of scan required but when the scanner attempts an overview scan it is unable to complete it.
    I have had the scanner from new (12 Years) and have previously scanned slides and film with the adaptor but maybe this was before I upgraded my computer (imac 27").
    Do I have to buy a new scanner?  It seems so close to working correctly.
    I have downloaded the Epson recommended driver (5.4) and have Epson Perfection 1200 6.6 Universal showing in the Applications List.
    Any thoughts or observations would be much appreciated before I go out and spend money an new hardware.
    Thanks

    I have same issue - have you solved this yet?

  • I cannot change the font; the Content panel in Options does not have a font setting

    I would like to change the font in my Firefox browser. The help instructions tell me to got to 'Tools,' 'Options,' and then open the 'Content' panel. However, when I do so there is nothing in the Content panel that allows me to change fonts.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

    OK Thanks Brad.
    I could use Tockify of course, but wanted to create the same things on an existing site.
    I do not know how to copy the code and get it onto Muse, but that’s OK for now. I will work something else out.

    Photoshop CS 6 - image -canvas - make double matte - select color - if I select wrong color, how do I change to a new color, right now it won't change to the new color I select, WHY?????

    Hi, The options bar shows sample size 101 by 101 Average. That was my problem. When I was troubleshooting in order to try to explain to you what was happening, I noticed that when I sampled my models teeth, it gave me a color a bit lighter than her lipstick as my foreground color in my tool box. That started me thinking in the correct way. I didn't realize that my sample size had somehow gotten switched from point sample to 101 by 101 average. I appreciate the help. Thank you.

  • Bridge CC - Content Panel looks different than Preview

    Problem - Images in the Content panel look dull and desaturated. The view of the same image in the Preview Panel, as well as Photoshop CC, looks fine (ie, like I expect from working with these images in CS6). This applies to NEF, JPEG and PSD files. In the attached screenshot, note the distinct lack of red in the skin tones in the Content Panel compared to Preview. Blues look a little dull as well. This is a PSD file. This image is tagged sRGB, verified in the Metadata panel as well as in Photoshop CC.
    I have read similar threads here (where all of Bridge was dull and desaturated), but I don't see anything that mentions the two panels in Bridge displaying images differently.
    Background - 10 years as a pro photographer, and I know what I'm doing around a Mac and color management. I finally "upgraded" from CS6 to CC when I got my new Mac.
    System -
    Retina iMac w/Yosemite. Second monitor - HP LP2475w (Bridge sits on the HP monitor)
    Both monitors have profiles generated with an i1 Display and the i1 Profiler application.
    Both monitors are using their correct profiles
    Steps Already taken (condensed)
    1. Purge cache (multiple times throughout the process).
    2. Check color cache and cache permissions.
    3. Reinstall Bridge at the behest of Adobe support, even though this was a new install.
    4. Check that "Always high quality" thumbnails is checked in Bridge (this seems to have no effect either way).
    5. Check color settings - NA GP2 in Bridge. Interestingly, the same behavior is exhibited no matter what I select here.
    6. Drag Bridge to the iMac display - everything now looks good. Drag back - now BOTH Content and Preview are desaturated. Will stay like this until Bridge is restarted.
    7. Recalibrate the HP (Bridge) monitor. No change in behavior.
    8. Verify no sidecar xmp for this image, to rule out ACR in the problem.
    9. Open Output module to verify that the content panel looks the same way there (it does).
    10. Investigate ~user/Library/Caches/Adobe/Bridge CC/Cache/ folders. Wow, the preview for this particular image in /1024/xxxx LOOKS CORRECT (like it does in the Preview panel). So Bridge IS generating high quality previews correctly.
    Thoughts -
    1. This seems unlikely to be a monitor profile issue. Bridge itself is displaying the same PSD two different ways. A bad profile would make everything on that monitor look wrong, wouldn't it?
    2. Some of my images sit on an external drive, but the screenshot here is from the internal mac drive, to try and rule that out.
    3. It's not some strange issue with the HP monitor not displaying color evenly across it's surface - if it were, than the screenshot would not show the difference between the panels. I also moved the Bridge window around the display to further verify that color is the same across the whole panel.
    4. Maybe Bridge ignores the profile for the content panel - but in the case of no profile, it assumes sRGB (or does it?) which is exactly what this image is. I have tried this with Adobe RGB images and the same behavior is exhibited.
    5. Previews are being generated correctly, but do not seem to be what is read off disc to display in the Content Panel.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated. My gut feeling is that for some reason, Bridge is not showing me the saved high quality preview in the Content panel. But why?

    Is your file tagged?  I.e. does it have the proper color profile embedded?
    Is your monitor accurately calibrated and profiled?
    What are your preferences in Bridge re previews and profiles?

  • How to make Spry Accordion Content Panel with a variable content fit

    I have a problem.  The content panel has a fixed length so I changed it to auto so I can view all the content of each panel.  The problem is that the content panel takes the dimensions of the longest content and applies that to ALL the panels.  So as you click from one to the other, some are practically empty with all the space, while others seem full.
    The question is, is there a way to vary the size of the content panel so on one that has not a lot of content stays to that size.  This is the way I have the CSS for that.  How can I achieve the variable heights?
    .AccordionPanelContent {
    overflow: auto;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px 4px 6px 15px;
    height: auto;
    background: url(../images/backgrcolor0033.png);

  • Getting the bounds of a drawn image on a panel

    Hello, I have a problem with getting the bounds of a drawn image on a panel...Since it is drawn as graphics, i tried getClipBounds and since my class extends JPanel i tried to get the bounds from the panel but neither of them worked properly. It only gets the bounds of a jframe that contains the panel.Then i tried to put the panel in a layeredpane and then a container; but this time the image disappeared completely. Hope someone can help or tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance. Here is the code below:
    By the way what I am trying to do in this code is basically zooming the image in and out by dragging or the mouse wheel. But I need to get the bounds so that I can use this.

    You'll need a stable point in the component to track and orient to the scaling transform(s).
    From this you can construct whatever you need in the way of image location and size.
    Let's try a center&#8211;of&#8211;image tracking point:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.awt.geom.*;
    import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.swing.event.MouseInputAdapter;
    public class ZD extends JPanel {
        BufferedImage image;
        Point center;
        AffineTransform at = new AffineTransform();
        Point2D.Double origin = new Point2D.Double(0,0);
        public ZD(BufferedImage image) {
            this.image = image;
            center = new Point(image.getWidth()/2, image.getHeight()/2);
        protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
            super.paintComponent(g);
            Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D)g;
            g2.setRenderingHint(RenderingHints.KEY_INTERPOLATION,
                                RenderingHints.VALUE_INTERPOLATION_BICUBIC);
            g2.drawRenderedImage(image, at);
            g2.setPaint(Color.red);
            g2.fill(new Ellipse2D.Double(origin.x-1.5, origin.y-1.5, 4, 4));
            g2.setPaint(Color.blue);
            g2.fill(new Ellipse2D.Double(center.x-1.5, center.y-1.5, 4, 4));
        private void setTransform(double scale) {
            // keep image centered over Point "center"
            double x = center.x - scale*image.getWidth()/2;
            double y = center.y - scale*image.getHeight()/2;
            origin.setLocation(x, y);
            at.setToTranslation(x, y);
            at.scale(scale, scale);

  • How to add a Description Column in the Content Panel (Bridge CS5)

    Hi,
    Is it possible to add a Description Column in the Content Panel. If so, how?
    I'm talking about the Description from the IPTC Core data and I'm using Bridge CS5.
    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

    This is the screenshot of the Metadata Workspace with the Content Panel (not Metadata Panel). As you can see it shows Name, Label, Keywords etc. but it's not possible to show Description in that list as a column.
    I still agree that it would be a big bonus if you could alter this workspace with description field (even with more lines etc) but what Curt shows you might be an alternative. I couldn't help noticing that you have not created your own custom workspaces.
    Try and play with this. You have the option to divide the window in 3 columns max but you can create different panels as a row in 1 column.
    Grabbing a tab and move it to a new location until a single blue line appears (between the borders, a bit tricky). A vertical blue line means as a column and a horizontal line means a row. A surrounding blue line means same panel but adding as a tab. You can rearrange the tabs by dragging to left or right. under the menu window you can select which panels are visible or use right mouse click menu on top of a panel to choose.
    Sadly enough only 3 columns and only one panel of it's kind per workspace, but you can resize the panels also to your own workflow needs.
    In Bridge preferences you can change the colors for background in the general tab and in the metadata tab you can select what info to view in certain sections. Personally I have set my IPTC to view only description, keywords, date created and a few other subjects.
    That is the nice thing about Bridge, creating custom workspaces, save them and being able to recreate them without problems :-)
    I attach some screenshot of my daily workflow (with the luxury of having a 30' screen) but there are plenty of other options possible, don't forget to name and save your workspace.

  • Content panel (BR4) and CS4

    I have a image file I work with in PS CS4 (example: 200 images); when I access Bridge, I get fewer than 200 images appearing
    in the Content panel??  Are there some parameters in either CS4 or BR4 that need to be changed??   Or what else might be
    the problem??    Appreciate your response's,     George Poehlmann  --  [email protected]

    You mean a folder with 200 images?
    Bridge displays the content of that folder according to your settings of the filter panel. If you have set for instance to show only the red label and the ones with 1 star rating it only shows the selected criteria. Bottom right of the filter panel is a small icon that clears all criteria in one time, clicking on a criteria selects it, clicking again deselects it.
    It might also be a cache problem, so also try the menu view / refresh to refresh the content panel.

  • Could not apply background image to the panel group layout in spaces application

    I tried to apply background image to the panel group layout with css class and also with inline style such as below
    background-image:url('/content/conn/intra-dot-content/path/mywebcenter/lever/backgroundmain.jpg');background-position:center; background-repeat:repeat-y;
    The background image does not show up. but it work with panel border layout. Is there any work around for the issue

    You can try styleclass, which is always better choice than inlinestyle
    page:
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl30"
                                       styleClass="testPGbackground">
                    <af:outputText value="outputText5" id="ot8"/>
                  </af:panelGroupLayout>
    css:
    .testPGbackground {
        background-image:url('/images/unselectedTabStart.png');
    It works for me.
    I tried with inline style also and it worked.
    bac
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl30"
                                       inlineStyle="background-image: url(/incview/images/unselectedTabStart.png);">
                    <af:outputText value="outputText5" id="ot8"/>
                  </af:panelGroupLayout>
    NOTE: You need to mention image url with context-name here, which could be a way of hard coding context name and in future it could be very difficult to change contextname. As recommended styleclass is better solution.
    Thanks
