Color of my url hyperlink

Right now my hyperlink for my url is blue and I would like to change that color. I can't seem to figure it out. Any help PLEASE!
thanks
on a side note: I cant seem to save my stationery I have created as a template. I have searched the archives but can't figure out the answer. So a little more information... I used the template from apple, just plugged in my pictures and my text then went to save and the option is greyed out.
thanks again

Create a stylesheet (use google to figure out how to format a "CSS" stylesheet to target anchors and change their color) and in Safari's preferences you can then select that stylesheet in the "Advanced" tab so the colors apply to the links according to your preference (unless the website you're viewing applies different styles to the links, in which case they'll override your stylesheet).
EDIT:...here's a quick one:
Create a plain text file and put this into it:
a:link {
COLOR: #000000;
a:visited {
COLOR: #000000;
a:hover {
COLOR: #000000;
a:active {
COLOR: #000000;
The number #000000 makes all the links black, regardless of whether or not you hover, click, or just view the link. Read up on web colors using "hex" (hexadecimal) code to change them to your preference.
Save the file and change the file type to ".css" instead of ".txt", and then select the file in Safari's preferences. This will change the URL colors to the colors you've designated.

  • Linking to a page with a URL hyperlink

    Is it possible to create a hyperlink that links to another page in the same document using the "Link To: URL" option in the New Hyperlink window?
    Normally I'd just use the "Link to: Page" option but I want to upload a bunch of documents to Issuu and the only interactive object that seems to survive the conversion process is a URL hyperlink. I've also tried creating a button with a "Go To Destination" action attached but it isn't recognised by Issuu either.
    I can add buttons in Issuu after I've uploaded the documents but I was hoping there would be a way to do it in InDesign that works for both normal PDFs and uploaded Issuu files.
    I hope this makes sense. Let me know if it needs clarification.
    InDesign version: CS6 - 8.0.1
    OS: Win 7 SP1

    Issuu is an online digital publishing platform. Here's an example (not mine!). You upload PDF files to the Issuu website and they are converted to a proprietary format for viewing.
    The problem I'm having is that these converted files support URL hyperlinks but not any other kind of interactivity. I was hoping I would be able to use URL hyperlinks to other pages within the document if this was even possible.
    I'm trying to get some assistance from the Issuu help staff but I'm not really getting anywhere. Hence the post!

  • Modifying multiple url hyperlinks.

    Hi all.
    I've been working with InDesign CS3 to convert a catalogue into iPDF format for web distribution. This involves me going through the document page by page hyperlinking each program in the catalogue to the corresponding url. Recently I've been informed that all these hyperlinks need to be amended by addition of a few characters to the end of every url. This wouldn't be a problem, but there is a couple thousand hyperlinks that would need to be updated.
    This brings me to my question: Is there an easy way to modify/amend multiple hyperlinks within an InDesign document or alternatively a way I could do this same task using Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.10?
    Thanks in advance.

    My url hyperlinks currently look something like this:
    Eg.
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTG
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTQ
    and what I need to to is add another short code to the end of each hyperlink:
    Eg.
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTG  + '-22058'
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTQ  + '-22058'
    so they look like:
    Eg.
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTG-22058
    http://www.websitename.com.au/Product.aspx?id=PRODUCTQ-22058

  • JS to add url hyperlink to a rectangle shape?

    Hi there,
    Any JS script to add a url hyperlink to a shape object ?
    Thanks a million....

    Hi,
    here's a script that might help you. I made it and tested it only for InDesign CS5.5.
    How to use it: select any object in InDesign then run the script. At first, the script will try to see in the clipboard has valid URL (well, a text startiong with http…) and if so, the clipboard will be take as a good URL for the new created button. If no valid URL in the clipboard, the script will ask for the URL to be entered manually. If the ibject is a text frame, the script will try to take the text from inside the frame as a URL – if not valid, then the dialog pops up.
    // -------------------------------------------- BEGIN SCRIPT ----------------------------------------------
    if (app.selection.length==1) {
    //get the selected object (only one object)
    var xOBJECT = app.selection[0];
    var xPAGE = xOBJECT.parentPage;
    var xBOUNDS = xOBJECT.geometricBounds;
    //create the button
    var xBUTT = xPAGE.buttons.add({geometricBounds:xBOUNDS});
    //add selected object to the normal state
    xBUTT.states.item(0).addItemsToState(xOBJECT);
    //create the gotoURL behavior
    var xGOTOURL = xBUTT.gotoURLBehaviors.add({behaviorEvent:BehaviorEvents.mouseUp});
    //get the clipboard
    var xTEMP = app.documents[0].textFrames.add(); xTEMP.insertionPoints[-1].select(); app.paste(); var xCLIP = xTEMP.parentStory.contents; xTEMP.remove();
    //check the clipboard or text frame's text; if it does not starts with "http" then it's not good and a dialog asking a good URL will popup
    if (xOBJECT.constructor.name!="Rectangle")
        var xURL = xOBJECT.parentStory.contents;
    } else {
        var xURL = xCLIP;
    if (xURL.substring(0, 6)!="http://") {
    // do the dialog here
    var xDIAG = app.dialogs.add();
    with (xDIAG.dialogColumns.add().dialogRows.add()){staticTexts.add({staticLabel:"Enter URL:"}); var xURLTEXT = textEditboxes.add({editContents:xCLIP, minWidth:160});}
    var xRESULT = xDIAG.show({name:"Button creation"});
    if (xRESULT == true){xURL = xURLTEXT.editContents; xDIAG.destroy();} else { xURL="http://"; xDIAG.destroy();}
    // set the URL to the behavior
    xGOTOURL.url=xURL;
    // -------------------------------------------- END SCRIPT ----------------------------------------------

  • How to make a url hyperlink in interaction center alert

    Hello,
    We would like to have a hyperlink to a url in the alert in the interaction center of CRM 7.0.
    We have tried to make the hyperlink in the alert text, by writing this html code <a href="http://www.google.com">GLOOGLE</a>
    but we think the alert editor does not accept that code.
    Does anyone know how to insert a url hyperlink in an alert ??
    Thank you very much in advance.
    Luis Angel Fiel

    Hello Luis,
    In order to insert a hyperlink into an alert, you actually need to use the Navigation Object Type/Action field and choose an existing navigation object type/action (launch transaction) that has been mapped to your desired URL. This is the same technique that you would use if you want to call the URL from anywhere else, like the NavBar. You can't simply add a URL directly to the alert.
    Best regards,
    John

  • URL hyperlink to workbook?

    Hi all,
    I am wondering if there is a way to directly go into a workbook via URL hyperlink? I am trying to set up a webpage that automatically links to the report without using the log-in name or password. Is there a way to do this? Also, is there a way to pre-select the parameter to be passed through the workbook?
    Thanks!!
    -Mark

    Hi Mark
    Yes this will work. How about that for a change? An answer in the affirmative! :-)
    You need to execute the workbook in Viewer first, running it with whatever parameters you need. Then you copy the URL from the address bar and store this a link. When the user clicks on it, unless you are using public connections, the user will be prompted for a username and password, and then the result will display. If you are good with editing URL links you can dynamically build the URL based on selections provided by your user.
    I hope this helps

  • Targeting url hyperlink to blank browser window

    Hi everyone,
    I have an indesign file and have created some hyperlinks that go to specific URLs. After I export to pdf the file is uploaded and is embedded in a browser. When this happens, the problem is that when the hyperlink is clicked, the destination page opens in the same browser window, so I wondered if there was a way to customise the link in Indesign so that it will open in a blank browser window once the pdf file is within the browser. I know I would have to use target="_blank" but I don't know if there's a way to add this within ID.
    I wondered if anyone has had this scenario and whether there's any solution?
    Once again, I appreciate any advice.

    There's the APex javascript function you can use html_PopUp - you can use it in the button's URL Target:
    google it to get more details - you can specify the new window name e.g. myWindow and window size etc
    javascript:html_PopUp('http://www.google.com','myWindow');

  • How to programmatically format the Appointment Item body to make the URLs hyperlinked?

    Hi,
    In my VSTO Add-In, if a new Appointment Item is created with some text of my own, I want to make all the URLs in that to be hyperlinked.  How can I do programmatically?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks Prasad

    Hello Prasad,
    You can use the
    RTFBody property which returns / sets a byte array that represents the body of the Microsoft Outlook item in Rich Text Format. See
    What is the RTF syntax for a hyperlink? .
    Also you may consider using the
    WordEditor property of the Inspector class to get an instance of the Word Document which represents the message body. The Document class provides the Hyperlinks property which returns a Hyperlinks collection
    that represents all the hyperlinks in the specified document. You can use the
    Add method to add a new hyperlink to the Document (body of the Outlook item).

  • Can we have url hyperlink in forms 4.5 ?

    Anyone know did forms 4.5 support hyperlink to url?

    I usually use a push button with the following code:
    if get_application_property(user_interface) = 'WEB' then
         web.show_document(website);
    else
    host('rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler '||website);
    end if;
    Again you need forms6 for web.show_document but the host command ought to work in 4.5 client server.

  • OBIEE11g - GO URL Hyperlink is exported to Excel

    Hi,
    I've had to use a GO URL as a drill through on one of our dashboards. Normall we use Action Link (BI Navigation).
    When the Anlaysis with the GO Url is exported to excel the hyperlink is exported in a clickable form.
    Anyone know if it's possible to stop the exporting of the hyper link in its clickable form?
    Regards

    Excel often gives me problems with hyperlinks. I made a test of a link to an mp3 in a Number table. One cell was the hyperlink, another used the HYPERLINK function. Both worked flawlessly in Numbers. Both opened as text from Excel, just as you saw.
    I created an Excel document (using Excel) and pasted in the same link. It, too, opened it as a text file.
    I used "Insert Hyperlink" in Excel to create the hyperlink. Same thing.
    Looks to be an Excel problem, not one related to Numbers or exporting to Excel.

  • Speed up adding URL hyperlinks to bullets/selected text

    Hi, I'm doing a presentation that requires linking a huge amount of the bullet text to different sites. I was hoping to create some sort of macro that told Keynote to add the URL of the current active window in Safari to the selected text, but Automator can't do it and I don't know of any other way to create a macro (I'm new to the Mac world).
    At the moment, after go to the site I want to link to, switch to Keynote, highlight the desired text and open the Hyperlink inspector window:
    1) Hyperlink inspector window defaults to Slide (vs. Webpage)
    2) After I click Enable Hyperlink and choose Webpage from the pulldown menu, the URL defaults to my home page URL.
    This means I have to go to Safari, highlight and copy the URL, switch back to Keynote, highlight the homepage URL, paste the correct URL (from the active Safari window), click Apple-end to get to the end of the URL and hit Enter in order to hyperlink the selected text.
    I know there has to be an easier way.
    At one point, I accidentally did something that dynamically changed the URL in Hyperlink inspector to the active URL on Safari, but I can't re-create it. That, at least, would be some help.
    Any suggestions for how to simplify/speed up/automate this cumbersome process would be GREATLY APPRECIATED, as I am slogging along using this inefficient approach while trying to meet a looming deadline.
    Thanks in advance!

    Maggie, how desperate are you for a quick solution? One approach might be to edit the Keynote XML text file directly, adding the bullets and hyperlinks as elements in that file rather than through Keynote proper. This approach is relatively straightforward, and it is very fast, but it does involve getting down-and-dirty with the XML, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It's honestly not that daunting, though, and just involved doing very minor editing to a text file within TextEdit. I don't know if it would work well for your specific needs, and it involves a completely different workflow than working in Keynote directly, but it might be worth a shot. Here's how you would add a list of hyperlinked bullets to a single slide:
    - First, create a single slide with a bulleted list with a single item that has a hyperlink to a website. This will allow you to see what the XML looks like when we open the XML file. Use an unusual word or string of letters for the bullet item to make it easier to find in the XML code. Save this one slide presentation, and close it.
    - In the Finder, hold down the Control key while clicking once on the presentation file. This will bring up the contextual menu. Choose "Show Package Contents". This will open a new Finder window that shows you the "guts" of the Keynote presentation, which is actually a collection of files.
    - Double click on the "index.apxl.gz" file. This is the file that holds the XML markup for the presentation. It is stored in compressed form, but when you double-click it, a new file, "index.apxl", will be created. This is a plain text file, editable with TextEdit, and it is the file you will modify. Delete the "index.apxl.gz" file, as it isn't needed now, and Keynote will automagically re-compress the "index.apxl" file when we open the presentation.
    - Open the "index.apxl" file in TextEdit (or whatever other text editor you like). You will see a mess of XML, without any real formatting. That's OK though, because you only need to edit a small bit of this file, and you will use the unusual word in the bullets you created as a search guide.
    - Find the unusual word in the text. This word is embedded in the XML code that specifies the bullet on the slide. This is the code that you will need to edit.
    The code that specifies a hyperlinked bullet will look something like this:
    <sf:p sf:style="SFWPParagraphStyle-263" sf:list-level="1"><sf:link href="http://www.apple.com/"><sf:span sf:style="SFWPCharacterStyle-38">Test1</sf:span></sf:link><sf:br/></sf:p>
    (The numbers of the "ParagraphStyle" and "CharacterStyle" may be different depending on the theme you used.)
    If you look at this snippet, you can see that there is a URL in the <sf:link> tag -- that's the hyperlink for the bullet text. You can also see that there is some text (in this case, "Test1") wedged between the <sf:span> and </sf:span> tags -- that's the text that appears on the slide, and in your file it will be the unusual text that you searched for in the file.
    Now, the cool thing is that, if you change this URL and this bullet text in the XML file and save it (having previously deleted the "index.apxl.gz" file), you will have changed the bullet text and hyperlink in the actual presentation. The much cooler thing is that you can add bullets to a slide by simply pasting multiple copies of the above code template into the XML file -- just make sure that you copy the entire bullet template (from <sf:p to </sf:p>), and that you paste it directly after another </sf:p> tag. (Be sure to use the template from your XML file, since the ParagraphStyle and CharacterStyle numbers will be different.)
    What this means is that the task that formerly involved going back and forth in the Keynote interface now just involves editing a text file. In the case of your task, for example, what you could do is create a second TextEdit window, paste the bullet code template into it several times, and then just drag and drop the URLs you want into the various address spots of the templates. You can also edit the bullet text directly in the templates. Once you're done, you can simply copy the whole batch of text and paste it into the appropriate spot in the "index.apxl" XML file, and you're done.
    Also, because this is now a text editing task rather than a Keynote task, you can potentially take advantage of applications that automate text editing to generate the bullet XML for you. For example, you could just create a list of the URLs, and then use the macro capabilities of Word, or (my favourite) NisusWriter, to go through the list and populate the addresses in the bullet templates. The possibilities are quite wide open with this approach.
    This is just how to do one slide, but multiple slides are just as straightforward -- simply start by creating a presention where each slide has one bullet point, with unique text in each bullet. Then you can easily find the section of XML code for the bullet of each slide, and edit accordingly.
    This may seem like a hugely involved and roundabout way of doing this task, but it works, and by making it a text editing task, it can make it far easier.

    This forum is dedicated to Numbers on Mac OS X.  So there maybe some people who have Numbers on an iOS device here but they seem to less active.  There is a forum for Numbers on iOS you can post in.
    The iWork on iOS forum is here:

    I personally do not have iWork on any iOS device but can still ask questions that may help.

  • InDesign CS6 (8.0) URL Hyperlink Issue

    When creating a hyperlink to a URL with a "?" or "&" InDesign converts these to "%3F" or "%26" which breaks the link. Is there a workaround so my links will work?

    I don't want to sound diplomatic but honestly I have no idea when the fix will be rolled out for this bug.
    I know that engineering team is working on it and the bug is under review.
    The workaround for now suggested by them over the bug is  :-
    ""The current workaround for the same could be to use the Panel to enter the URL and not the Hyperlink Dialog.That is if we write the URL in the URL field available in the Panel and hit return to apply the URL this problem does not occur.This problem only occurs if we Open the Hyperlink Dialog to apply the URL ""

  • URL/Hyperlink errors %25

    Hello Everyone,
    This is driving me nuts. I have a url from paypal to be specific. The link works fine when I paste it into safari, but when I add it to pages as a hyperlink/url, pages adds the number 25 to the url.
    For example, the url should look like this:
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xclick&business=darron%40djones%2ecom&item_name=album&amount=999%2e99&no_shippin g=0&no_note=1&currencycode=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%2d8
    But whenever I click the link, it opens safari, and display this as the url:
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xclick&business=darron%2540djones%252ecom&item_name=album&amount=999%252e99&no_s hipping=0&no_note=1&currencycode=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%252dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%252d8
    Notice, after all the % signs, the number 25 just shows up throwing everything off.
    Please help.
    Thank
    Dj

    Done:
    tracking number for this issue is Bug ID# 6152296.
    When we ask a service like Paypal for allowing us to work with them, we receive a link of this shape:
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xclick&business=darron%40djones%2ecom&item_name=album&amount=999%2e99&no_shippin g=0&no_note=1&currencycode=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%2d8
    As you may see, it's an "expanded" version of
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xclick&business=[email protected]&item_name=album&amount=999.99&no_shipping=0&no _note=1&currencycode=USD&lc=US&bn=PP-BuyNowBF&charset=UTF-8
    +don't worry, it's the forum's parser which plays the fool with the 'standard' link. I have no free time to search the offending tag+
    The problem is that if we store the link as it is sent by Paypal in Pages, when sending it, the program replaces the embedded characters "%" by "%25" which is its way to store the percent char.
    The result is this link:
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xclick&business=darron%2540djones%252ecom&item_name=album&amount=999%252e99&no_s hipping=0&no_note=1&currencycode=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%252dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%252d8
    which of course fails.
    Is it a way to get rid of that?
