Color off for User Profile

Somehow the colors are messed up on a particular user account on my MBP. They seem very saturated.
I don't think it has to do with the colorsync utility since if I create a test user account the display looks normal. If I go into the Display properties and click the color tab, the calibrated color profile that I used in trying to fix the main account is there and looks normal in the test account.

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

Configuring group policy for user profiles in Windows Server 2012 R2 Domain

Requesting some experts advise on configuring group policy for user profiles.
We will be building new Windows Server 2012 R2 Domain Controllers (Domain of 400 users).
The settings which I am concerned:
1. Folder Redirection: Desktop, Documents, Favorites.
2. Quota for Folder Redirection - 1 GB per user.
3. Map a networked drive - 1 GB per user.
4. Roaming profile - (Will ignore if it does not suit our requirement).
The question is how outlook profile will be retained / automatically moved if the users move from once computer to other?
FYI, E-mails hosted on MS Office365 and OST file size of few users more than 25GB. So, in case the user moves from one computer to other, the entire mailbox will be downloaded via internet. This consumes high bandwidth if more than 3-4 users shift per day.

This depends on where our outlook data files are stored. If these data files are stored under
drive:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local, then these files can’t be redirected, for folder redirection can’t redirect appdata local or locallow.

Prompt for user profile photos

Hi,
When we try to open any page in SharePoint with intranet users' pics in it, sometimes it prompts for user name and password and that to many times not once. So if I provide the username and password then it allows me to see the profile pics in the
page otherwise shows a "x" on the picture.
I want to know why this happens for some pics only not all?

What do you mean intranet users' pics?
Does your MySite Host site have different FQDN from your SharePoint site?
Please check if adding MySite url in IE browser trusted sites zone could work.
If it still doesn't work, please check ULS log see if there is any related error for any clue when access the SharePoint page containing intranet users pics.

Exception thrown while enumerating UserProfileManager for user profile

Hello All,
We have a SharePoint 2010 Timer Job in which access User Profile Service Application and update user profile properties of some the users. This user profiles is synched with AD.
We have following lines of code here:

One point to note here is that we have almost 50,000 user profiles in total. This exception is thrown intermittently, I mean in the last 10 days it has happened thrice.

As I understand, you encountered User Profile time out issue.
First of all, please confirm that related service and service application are at started status on all servers.
User Profile time out issue might be caused by several reasons, as you said the issue is generated intermittently, there might be networking issue as well. So please check ULS log for related error message.

Additional Properties for User Profile

I've used Create Object/Property to create 3 new objects that I want added to the User Profile and given them each Select, then Edit permission (trying to see if anything works). I've added them to User in the Global Object Property Map. I've gone to the User Profile Manager/User Information - Property Map and added them. But I still don't see the items in the User Profile (General Information), nor are they editable in 'Edit User Profile'. What have I missed?

SQLPATH for user profile of SQL*PLUS

Hi there,
I am using 9.2 on HPUX. I tried set up my user profile script (login.sql) and place it in a place included in SQLPATH variable. It worked in 8.1.x but not in 9.2
Is it an identified bug? I have no access to metalink

Printing color Swatches for printer profiling in Photoshop

This is the crime scene:
I have two printers, a 9800 and a 9880. I want to profile them both with the i1 PRO and EYE-One Match Software. Half of the archive is in Kodachrome Slides scanned into Adobe RGB (a while ago); RAW files worked in ProPhoto. ALL we use is premium luster 260.
I want to print the color swatches and dont know what option to chose in photoshop to print them: Let Printer Manage Colors, or, on the other side, select "Let Photoshop Manage colors" and Adobe RGB as profile and create a printer Profile that I will use to print the Adobe RGB slide images; and print the swatches again with "let photoshop..." and Prophoto as profile and use the created with those swatches to print the RAW Prophoto images.

You need to choose the "No Color Management" option in the first print dialog and then in the Epson portion, you need to choose your paper type under Paper Settings and then choose No Color Adjustment in very next dialog box. That way you are sending pure unadulterated RGB to the printer.

But its getting apply to title as well as to Department - as above class is same for both fields , while I require to change the style only for the department.
Any suggestions ? I have changed the same using Designer which works as per the need , however - I dont want to use SPD Tool !!!
Bottom line : I Require different font style in Title and Department without use of SPD.
Any suggestions/idea ?

C7280 photo print colors off for PicBridge images

I have a new C7270 that prints photos that are too yellow when printing directly from USB camera. I've performed a comparison of the same photo printed by the C7280 and also by a brand new Epson Artisan 800. The color of the print from the C7280 is way too yellow, while the Epson seems correct, especially in the whites and skin tones.
I also tested each printer using the Digital Dog test photo and the C7280 blew away the Epson ... hands down. I'd love to keep the HP, but the camera prints are not acceptable. Are there perhaps some type of auto color adjustments being done that I am unaware of when using PicBridge?

My suggestion about using the onboard USB is to rule out both the USB & WiFi ports.
If printing from the 8625 USB port produces the same results then you may have a defective printer.
Have you also tried printing a sample image that is not yours? (using the O/S image program)

Which Database table does Weblogic Portal server store users? We need to populate
that table from an external data feed, since the master copy of our users are
in an external system(not LDAP). The basic idea of the feed is so <um:> tags,
and the out-of-the-box p13n features continue to work with the users coming from
the feed, without changing any code.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

You could also write a custom UUP PropertyProvider against your external
system, this would give you "live" access to those properties instead of
having to run a batch feed.

Facebook's new ad tracking policy for user profiles.

Facebook's newest policy seems quite invasive. I have my Mozilla Firefox browser set to "Tell sites that I do not want to be tracked." Is this sufficient to stop this new policy from Facebook or do I have to go through their options of using the Digital Alliance Network and / or clicking on ads on Facebook itself to opt out of different categories of targeted ads? Any clear or certain advice available on this would be most welcome.
