Color only lets me select certain clips on timeline
When I tried to render my project, Color let me select all the clips in the first video line and only some of my clips in the second video line. Why is this?
What is the source media format?
Can you navigate to the source media directory, as if you were going to import the media directly? What does COLOR report, that is, how is the media identified when you find it?
Is the media on the second layer composed of independent clips?
What happens if you attempt to "Add All"? Can you individually select any of the media on the second layer and add it separately?
In the browser/shots pane, are the clips identified any differently from the others?

My send and receive list only gives me the option to send and receive from my email and my phone number is greyed out and it won't let's select it. I am currently in a foreign country but it was working a couple days ago here. What do I do?
Do you have another device with that email/Apple ID on it with iMessage activated? If not, you should be able to remove the checkmark for the email address. You cannot remove the Apple ID email address, but you can turn it off by tapping on it and that should remove the checkmark. Once that is gone, you are good to go. It will only use the phone number.

How can I select multiple clips in the event browser?
I can't seem to figure out how to do something that should be pretty simple. I want to select multiple clips in the event browser that aren't next to each other. Right now it's only letting me select the two clips with every other clip in between. Is there a keyboard function that will allow me to deselect the clips in between while leaving the two on the outside selected? In Apple's finder you can do this with files by holding down shift-command while clicking on the ones you want. Or is there away to rearrange clips in the event browswer?
I'd like to be able to create a multicam clip, but there is always going to be other media in between the clips I want to combine, so how can I select only the clips I want?

Color crashes when selecting any clip?
Finished an edit, now looking to color/grade. However, whenever I send my current project from FCP to Color and select a clip, it crashes! I've tried with several other different projects which work fine. Getting quite frustrated now and can't fathom why. Any help would be much appreciated.

How are they different?
Your crash report doesn't identify much, and at the moment you are the only person on the planet who knows what your coedec, framerate, resolution, sequence settings and content are.
A failure selecting media might mean that COLOR is either failing to locate the media or the media is incompatible with the application (but it should be showing red-X's) or there are other errors in the XML export that is causing a media path disconnect. Possibly illegal character names. The list goes on and on.

Try ejecting your iphone from iTunes and then close iTunes. Now retry. Hope this helps.

Color only certain text in TextArea
Hello, I'm making an applet and I'm writing my output to a TextArea. I was wondering if it is possible to color only certain text. I.E. have some text in black and some in red.
I know you can color all text using foreground, but wasn't too sure if you could color certain text.

i make videos using my go pro hd camera, but when i export it only half of my 3 min video shows up with the audio playing in the background, plus when i try to select the quality in the export options it won't let me select 720p or 1080p?????? help!!!
What you could do now is break up your video into smaller parts and render them out, then assemble them again as a whole.
I know this is not the best fix, but it might work.
You can duplicate an edit in the main screen, then delete the last bits and export,
do the same for the other half.
Then import the two bits (or more if you need) in a new edit.
Out of curiosity, can you post what format the video is in?
Copy a video straight from the camera to your computer.
Open it in Quicktime player, and with out playing type Apple + i
or Control + i for PCs
It should tell you lots of info about the video, and might help us to see what is wrong.

Working only with selected media clips
I have a clip selected in the FCP timeline. I "send to" SP but when I open the waveform monitor it shows not only the my selected clip (as indicated by an extended marker horizontal bar) but also the entire media clip -- about an hour. When I start applying noise reduction, etc., it seems as if it's applying this to the entire media clip rather than just the selected portion.
Is there a way to reference only the selected media clip and not the entire audio file.
I only want to edit for the duration of that clip.

Hi i am currently editing clips in premiere pro cc but everytime i go to change the speed not the duration of a clip it will not let me select it - also when i go to effect controls it will not let me select time mapping? please help

Please review the following that I excerpted from an older post here regarding Adobe's PRE_help comments about Hollywood Effect and mention of
Red Noir. Does any of the following apply to any of what is happening to you.
- Whenever I try to add an effect from the Hollywood Looks menu, it brings up a warning that all my previous effects on that clip will be deleted. However it will let me add those same effects *after* applying Hollywood Looks.
This is because of how the Hollywood Looks are designed to be used. Since these are effect presets (multiple effects in combination) that result in a specific "look"; they are best applied in isolation. If any previous effect is applied and we still allow a Hollywood effect to be applied, we will not be able to see what the effect does clearly. For e.g. if you already have a Gaussian Blur effect applied to your clip, and then we allow you to apply the "Red Noir" Hollywood effect, the fact that the "Reds" in the scenes will be highlighted and the others converted to B/W will not be clearly seen since the content is already blurred out. So any previously applied effects was designed to be removed. This holds good even if you apply a Hollywood look "on top of" another one. The previous one will be replaced. Having said that, you can customize the look further by either tweaking an already applied filter or by adding a newer effect on top. That is the reason you can apply an effect on top of the Hollywood Effects and not vice versa.
Please review and consider and then we can proceed from there if necessary.

I put the files on my desktop and imported them into iMovie but now it only lets me havce them in a certain order. iMovie won't let me drag them to different locations.
If they play OK in Imovie then the format is OK. Have you put them into a project timline or are you trying to rearrange them in an event?

The text on my photoshop is only letting me type in white, black, and grey. How can I have it type in color? I have tried to change the color but no matter what I do it leaves the text in grey/
What is the image mode? Image > Mode - should be set to RGB
Do you have a B&W adjustment layer above the Type layer?
If you are not sure, it would help if you upload a screen grab of your entire workspace with the Layers and History panels visible. Keep it at full resolution please. -
A whole bunch of my songs on my MacBook iTunes haven't synched over to my iPhone? I have only selected certain albums to synch so I know it isn't a space issue. Can anybody suggest anything?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Apply color correction to the sequence, not clip
Is it possible to select all clips in the sequence, then apply color corrector, or brightness/contrast filter _with a specific setting_ to the whole sequence?
Currently when I select all in the sequence, apply a correction through effects > video ... etc, then change a setting, it will only change the setting one clip from the sequence.
I know it is possible to work around this and do it with one clip and then paste attributes, but if there's another way, please let me know.

I am trying to Paste Attributes of AUDIO ONLY - from one clip to another audio clip. These are the settings for the VOICE OVER on my 15 minute project. This has worked before. However now I copy the clip I want o use the attributes from - then I selct PASTE ATTRIBUTES. In the past a new dialogue box would appear and offer me the opportunity to select the attributes or effects I wanted to COPY and PASTE. Hoever now - there is NOTHING.
I also want to REMOVE the ATTRIBUTES from 287 clips - but apparently I can only do this one at a time? That seems like the most ridiculous thing in the world. Certainly this can't be true? Is there no way to remove ALL Attrributes from all of the clips at the same time?

I cannot reproduce this. It is working as expected here: select a clip, copy, select another clip (or clips), paste attributes, and I get the usual window - this works for audio only clips as well as other clips.
I suggest you try deleting FCP X preferences with Preference Manager and try again.

Select the clips you want, and delete the effects in the Inspector by selecting and hitting the delete key.
