Color Palatte

In FWs, I've always created my own color palattes and then
saved them. So my
swatches had all custom color chips available. In the new
Flash CS3, I
noticed that when I imported my new color chips to the swatch
panel, they
were also available in the Property Inspector color wells
(stroke or fill).
I don't see that same functionality in FW CS3. Is there a way
to change
that?

Prachi,
Just got your reply. Thank you so much. That's what I was
looking for.

  • Display of color palatte

Is it possiable to display the forms color palatte during runtime
so that the user can customize the colors of the application.
This color setup i would like to store in the table and then
    restore to the application fields.
    Thanks

Seems you are using ESS. YES you can change it to add more status.
If you are using Webdynpro pack, then open the ESS in NWDS using NWDI and make changes.
There are a lot of queries on customizing ESS applications, just search for them and there is a customizing guide also available.

  • Color Conversion Problems between Illustrator and Photoshop (and Mac and PC)

Hi guys (and gals) Hope someone can help me here.
Got an issue working with a web design companywho when opening my eps logo file from Illustrator (I'm running all CS5.5 they're running CS4) into their version of Photoshop the color values are different. I'm not talking about 'not looking the same' but when clicking on the colors they have different numeric values. I'm running Mac OS X ad they're running a Windows based OS.
My Illustrator file is in RGB mode. It has an Adobe RGB profile attached to it. I've set the web design company's PC version of Photoshop color settings to Adobe RGB and preseve embedded profiles as a setting.
However the conversion issue still happens. Tried exporting my color palatte as a .ase swatch file and imorting a new swatch set into their Photoshop and still getting the different color values.
Anyone experienced this issue before? Am I missing changing a color/profile setting on one of the machines/software packages?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Phil

Why are you using EPS? It is kind of outdated format these days.
EPS  does not support color profiles. The default Save as EPS options in Illustrator include CMYK conversion which changes the values. To avoid this uncheck "Include CMYK Post Script" in the save options. Then when you open the file in Photoshop the RGB  values will be the same and if you want it displayed the same, in Photoshop choose Edit > Assign Profile and choose the same profile - Adobe RGB in your case. The color settings in Photoshop will have no effect and can remain unchanged.
If you do that using the same computer the colors will be identical in values and appearance. If you do it on different computers the values will be the same and the color appearance will depend on if both computers have been calibrated to display colors accurately.

  • Intermittent screen resolution issues on Macbook Pro

My screen can be clear and then reduced resolution or reduced color palatte.  So I know the screen has full resolution capabilty, it just changes without notice for no reason.

I've just purchased an Envy Rcline 23-k300br and eversince I turned it on for the first time, I 've noticed an issue with the screen: the resolution of the screen is VERY BAD as I can see something like "strips" pof pixels, which makes it difficutl to read things on it (if looks as if there was a plastic film covering it, but there isn't). The pixels seem not to have a continuity, making the image (especilly in written text) very ugly and irregular. I have also noticed that when I press the back of the screen (for example to move the computer's position), the front screen shows a blurred yellowish spot (whcih changes the correct color of whatever is being shown on the screen at the moment), which disappears as soon as I stop pressing it (notice that even the slightest presure will cause the spot to appear).I have a Touchsmart 640 (windows 7) and the screen has an awesome resolution and it's perfect! I cannot understand why this happens on Envy Recline, since it's supposed to be a more modern (and improved) computer.

  • ACR - Process - Profile question

Coming from a film/wet darkroom environment and being completely new to digital, I need help with a few concepts.
I think I understand ACR being akin to developers in film speak transforming RAW files to the basic digital "negative" that can be manipulated via LR to become the final print.  Different "developer" programs such as RPP can effect different effects on the negative such as Rodinal compared to Xtol on film.  In LR, this digital "negative" is presented somewhat differently depending what preview setting I choose:   minimal, standard, or 1:1.  Correct me if I am wrong.
Under Camera Calibration, how do the LR4/LR3 Processes:  2003, 2010, 2012  relate to the concept of the digital negative?  As the choices are under the Developer module, are they just different post processing effects that can be reversed if I choose another Process?  Or do they transform the DNG file at a pimary, permanent level, on which all other reversible post processing effects are added.
Are the Profiles, Embedded or Adobe Standard (for the Leica M9) similar in concept where they are the initial color palattes that you start off with once ACR transforms the digital file into a photo?  Are they again reversible or more permanent?
As LR is non-destructive, I don't completely understand how the Processes and Profiles relates to the LR DNG file as changing my choices does affect the look of the photo.  Are they just added to the XMP file in adjustements to the DNG file or do they change the DNG file permanently?

Personally, I think the idea of "digital negative" is useful for introducing the idea of raw, but I think the analogy can quickly get stretched too far!  One major difference: with film, when you process the film, you change it from raw (unprocessed) film into negative or transparency.   The unprocessed film isn't there any more.  With raw, the raw image data is never (as far as I know) altered.  The output is a new processed image.  If it needs to be saved, it's saved to a new file (TIF, jpeg or some other format).
Provided you keep the original raw file, then any processing effects can be reversed simply by going back to the original and processing it again.
Some raw formats (including DNG) allow processing information to be stored as "metadata" in the file, but the image data is not changed.  That's a bit like saying that you write extra information on a piece of paper and put it in the envelope with the negative.  You've not altered the negative, you've just added extra information.  Lightroom stores edit information in the DNG that way, but the image data is not altered.  With proprietary raw files (Nikon NEF, Canon CR2 or whatever) it's not safe for anyone except the maker's software to write into the files, hence Adobe writes edit information into separate XMP files in those cases.
Adobe has improved the overall raw processing several times, and hence there's the 2003 process, 2010 and now 2012 process.  Essentially each new version replaced the earlier ones.  However, there's a reason why they keep them all.  With Lightroom, the normal workflow is that the only file you keep is often the original raw file.  When you process it, Lightroom simply keeps a list of the edits and other changes you do.  Each time you display or print the image, Lightroom starts with the raw and does all the edits (it's pretty quick - near instantaneous).  But each process can give slightly different results.  So if you've processed an image in the 2010 process, then each time you display, print or export it, you need the 2010 process to do it.
    Hope that helps.

  • IOS7 Palattes: Why default to max brightness and battery drain?

After upgrading to iOS7 today my brightness slider was set to its maximum setting. I didn't think anything of it until I reduced it to 1/2 which is where I normally keep it to save on battery. I typically never have to change it even when outdoors. Today I received the surprise of a lifetime: It needs to be at near maximum just to see details like the call status bar. The WHITE text on the BRIGHT green bar is absolutely horrible and near impossible to read. I was hoping that I could change the color scheme of the status bar palettes but no luck. The best I could manage was to change the background wallpaper to a near black color that helped out only a tiny bit. What a waste of Retna display.
I can no longer use product this in an airplane cockpit for flight planning. I will have to abandon my planned purchase of an iPAD mini  with Retna unless I can get iOS 6 on it
In the day light these new white screen backgrounds require loads more brightness to be able to see details and therefore causing unexpected battery drain not to mention creating a hazard of a night blindess (old scheme had dark backgrounds light text instead of other way around)..
    Questions:
    - How do we get rid of the white screens that require max brightness to see detail?
    - How do we get customizable palattes? Customer knows better than Apple -- my eyesight can't handle white text and bright backgrounds for status bars.
    - Will Apple see this as a priority one issue and give us CHOICES on the PALATTE schemes?

    Hello,
I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation.
I have had battery drain problem on the Ipod Touch 4th generation.
But, I found a solution that works for me:
Do the IOS update (the one that is the latest, or if you already did, then proceed to step 2)
Reset All Settings: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET ALL SETTINGS
Use it until it dies (automatically shuts off)
    Plug into Charge
Leave it 1.5 hours or longer after it reaches 100% --> Undisturbed (preferably overnight)
Give it a few days to Calibrate
This has helped me on my Ipod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.0.1
The battery seems to give me 2 days 30 hours of standby, and 10 hours and 15 minutes of usage.
    Thats pretty good!

  • Dynamic color changing

    Hi,
I am working for an ad-agency project. They have an item in the website to sell. The item should be customized by different colors in the palatte..
how can i do this in flex?

    Hi,
Once u have selected the color from the colorPicker then u will be able to get the hexvalue for that selected color.......... then using this hex value of the selected color u can change the color of the movieclip or sprite by using the
    ColorTransform property of the movieclip;
mc.transform.colorTransform = hexvalue of the selected color
This will solve ur problem and still if not......do let me know?

  • Color Problems in PSE11

    Hi.
I've had Photoshop Elements 11 since December (because it was a free program after I bought a Wacom tablet) and there were no problems until now. I have a bit of experience with other adobe programs (on a mac, but alas, I use a PC) but I have really no clue how to fix this.  I don't know what happened, but now each time I use a color other than black and white, it creates a strange rainbow - despite the fact I only selected one color. Here's a screenshot of the colors:
does anyone know how to fix this? I'm using RGB color format and I don't think there were any changes made to the brush/palattes...I'd appreciate any advice or help given!

Also, be sure you're still using the regular brush tool in normal mode and that you aren't using the impressionist brush with a hard brush setting. There are three brushes in the brush tool slot--use the tool options to be sure the plain brush is selected.

  • Can I show a color bar instead of a color bullet in iCal Monthly view for all my events in all calendars?

In the Monthly view of iCal the only events that show a color bar in the event is the Birthday Calendar. All other events in all my other calendars only show a color bullet next to the event (unless I click on that event which then shows as a color bar). I would like to know if it is possible for all the calendar events to have a color bar in the monthly view instead of just that tiny color bullet.

    Greetings Judith,
Before making any attempts at deleting calendar data, backup what you have just in case:
Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
iCal has an automated function located in iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed.  By typing in a value for days you can tell iCal to delete all events before that time frame.
    Example:
    Today is 4-16-2012.
If I wanted to delete all events prior to 1 year ago (4-16-2011) I would type in "365" for the number of days.
Once you type in the number of days you want kept in iCal, close the preferences and then quit iCal.
Re-open iCal and check to see if the events are gone.  If not you may want to leave it open for several minutes and then quit again.
Once the events are removed go back to  iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed and make sure the check mark is removed to prevent future deletion.
    Hope that helps.

  • Fax function of HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575

    Hi,
I am one of users of HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575.
I would like to know can I set the printer do not print my fax number and fax header on paper when I fax my document to others.
I had login as admin but I did not see where I can config it.
    Thank you.

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

  • HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575 - Can't scan from Windows

We recently purchased and installed an HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575 to be used as a networked all-in-one solution for a number of offices. I have been able to get it set up on our network and have installed the appropriate drivers on the requested Windows 7 x64 machines, and network printing works perfectly. However, it seems that despite the fancy scanning features available from the all-in-one itself (scan to email, scan to a network folder, etc.), I can't find any way to do an old-fashioned scan from Windows.
I have installed the full software solution available on the driver download page for the device, and while Windows lists the device as a "Multi Function Printer; Scanner" it does not recognize it as an actual scanner. The built-in Windows Fax and Scan simply reports that no scanners are installed. The software installation did not include the HP Solution Center (which I am used to seeing from my experience with various other HP all-in-one devices) or any equivalent for direct scanning. The driver download page for the device does not include any separate scanning drivers, so I can't be certain if they were included with the full installation or exist at all. Some of our staff also use Adobe Acrobat to scan, and even that fails to recognize the MFP as a scanner.
We'll eventually be setting up the device to scan directly to a network folder, but we need a fallback while IT takes their time getting it set up; I can't imagine that the simplest option is not available at all. I must be missing something here, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: To add, I also ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Interestingly, it reports the device as a printer and only offers to "Fix Printing" without any sort of resolution for my scanning problem.

  • How do I only allow certain users to print in color?

Product Name: HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A)
Operating System Installed: Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit)
I work at a K-12 school and purchased the HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A) for use in our computer lab. I would like to know if it is possible to have it so that only certain users can print in color (possibly put a password on it). I know the cost for color is higher, and therefore, would like it so that students have to approve through teacher if they want to print in color.
We are running it on our Print Server (networked) not through USB.
    Thank you for the help.

    Hi,
That's a very good question actually. In my corporate networks, we are talking about hundreds of laser printers and the ONLY thing we can do: only allow people access to a set of mono laser printers, not all printers. For example, the following printer is using B&W as default but can't stop users to print in colors if they could access to the resourse:

  • My Excel with PowerPivots acts weird, it hangs when i try to change font color

    Hi
I am facing a weird issue using PowerPivot in my workbook, there is a worksheet named Charts in my workbook and all the charts i am using resides in that worksheet. Whenever i try to change the font color in that sheet, my excel's color palette goes blur
and then everything just freezes and turns black. This problem is happening only with Charts worksheet, when i try to change the color in other sheets, it works just, the problem is only with Charts sheet. File
size is 16 MB, there are just 10 pivot tables with some calculations and some calculated fields. There are no add-ins other than PowerPivot.
    Thanks,
    Shanker

    Hi,
In regarding of the issue, please provide us more information to assist you better.
Do you receive any error message?
Which Excel version are you using?  Excel 2013 or other?
Which workbook format are you using? XLS or XLSX?
Are you performing any specific task?
According to your description, this issue seems only occur with the special worksheet "Charts".
Firstly, I recommend we copy all of the content to a new/blank Excel file to test.
If it works fine, this issue might be caused by the "Charts" workbook itself. We'd better check the "Charts" workbook. Or re-build the file with a new workbook.
If it still makes Excel hang with a new file, this issue might due to the content. Please check the content first.
Secondly, we could follow below KB to troubleshoot this issue:
    https://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2758592/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0
Thirdly, if the issue still exists, we may try to collect the Event log and App crash dump file to do advanced troubleshooting.
    Event log:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-Event-Viewer
    App crash dump file:
First enable app crash dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and importing
    it:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\localdumps\EXCEL.EXE]
    "DumpFolder"=hex(2):63,00,3a,00,5c,00,63,00,72,00,61,00,73,00,68,00,64,00,75,\

    "DumpCount"=dword:00000010
    "DumpType"=dword:00000001
    "CustomDumpFlags"=dword:00000000
    Then, open Excel
to repro the issue. If crash issue appeared, please find the crashdump file under c:\.
