Color pictures

In printing a color picture in glossy,a strange thing happened.  I adjusted the print quality to “best” and then must have done something  else because when I started to print a questionnaire appeared asking me what brand of photo paper I was using, what quality of picture I was using, what size  of paper I was using, etc, etc.Anyway the print turned out dazzling , it was large, with vivid colors, etc.I don’t know what I did to produce the questionnaire, but I want to reproduce it whenever I print a photo.  WHAT DID I DO TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN-HELP-tell me how to reproduce itThanks, Larry    computer system(as of 6/12/14)operating system :wind 7,ultimateemail=mozilla thunderbirdcarboniteram = 4g,chrome+explorer browserscd-rom 16x&cd,+ burnermalwarebytes, apc surge pprocessor: inter core i5-2400 [email protected] 310ghzram:8gbmemory: 931 GB64bit op.systmonitor:

  • I have an IPhone 4S. My color pictures and all icons have lost their color. How do I get the color back? Did I touch a wrong button?

I have an IPhone 4S. All my color pictures and icons turned to looking like a negative.  No color! How do I get the color back on my phone?

    Hi ladwwd56,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Is it possible that you may have an Accessibility feature called "White on Black" turned on?
See page 244 of the iPhone User Guide PDF:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1539/en_US/iPhone_iOS4_User_Guide.p df
    White on Black
Use White on Black to invert the colors on the iPhone screen, which may make it easier to read the screen. When White on Black is turned on, the screen looks like a photographic negative.
Invert the screen’s colors: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility and tap the “White on Black” switch.
If that is not the case, try restarting / resetting the iPhone:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If that does not resolve the issue, refer to page 146 in the iPhone User Guide to Reset All Settings:

  • Color Picture of Steve Jobs that I would like to send to Apple for use in his honor. I prefer Color

I would like to send Apple a Color Picture of Steve Jobs that I found on Google. it's the same picture Steve Jobs Biography that
Walter Isaacson wrote. except it's in color. What I did was use my Drawing Pad Program to bring in the picture and then I brought in a splash I croped with Steve Jobs 1955-2011 and saved it. I want you all at Apple to have a copy to use for his memormial eash year. And Thank you Tim Cook and everyone at Apple for honoring Steve's values in keeping Apple products the great products that they are and will remain. Siri is such a riot. I have so much with her. I was able to use Best Buy's Trade-in Program and I traded my iPad 2 in for the new iPad 3rd Generation. I am one that needs Siri to help me spell some words when I get brain lock. lol. .  She is also fun to play with. I asked her to tell me a joke, she came back with, " Two iPhones walk in a bar, I forget the rest. LOL. you all have an ad with this joke. I haven't asked her any questions on sports yet. I like figure skating in the winter olympics beacause it's so graceful.
    Very Sincerely,

When I print a 4x6 color picture using an iMac with the latest operating system using a Canon MX892 printer, faint black lines appear every 3/16 of an inch. When I print the same picture using iPhoto there is no problem. Any suggestions?

What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down?

  • Display true color picture

    Dear Sir,
I'm using the read JPEG.vi and Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi to read a jpeg picture. The picture output of the Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi is connect to the Picture Indicator.
However when I load a true-color picture on the Linux, I found that the picture was in 256 color only. So, I would like to know what is my problem?
Or, could you give me a suggestion to do this process on linux. Actually, I would like to read the jpeg pictures on Linux just like a picture viewer.
Also I'm sorry to ask another question maybe off this topic.
I have a problem in displaying the unicode fonts on labview under Linux OS, such as Chinese characters.
I would like to ask when can labview support unicode fonts display?
    Thanks
    for any help
    Eric

    Eric,
I *believe* I have heard of people being able to display 24-bit images in LabVIEW before...I think there is a display setting in Linux somewhere that specifies the default color depth for displaying pictures...I don't know much about Linux...you may want to double-check with a Linux expert to see if this indeed the case.
As for Unicode support, I believe the next version of LabVIEW will support Unicode fonts.
I hope this information helps. Good luck, and have a pleasant day.

  • CS3 will not print color pictures

Photo Shop will not print color pictures. It printed fine for over a year then just quit printing in color a few months ago.  A work around was given by our Higher head Quarters but when printing this way the pictures do not print properly and the pictures can't be adjusted or modified any.
Machines having this problem are running Windows XP.
What are the proper setting for this program?
Do I need a software update?

Check the updater and make sure you installed the updates for Photoshop CS3.
But most likely this is a configuration issue with your printer driver.
Many drivers do have settings that force black and white printing, overriding what the application sends to the driver.

  • Changing color pictures to look like paintings

I’m retired and I have been using Photoshop CS2.  I would like to learn more about Photoshop but I don’t know what to do next.  I’m on a limited fixed income so I need to be careful of what I buy.  I’m interested in two areas, one; changing black and white pictures to color, and two; changing color pictures to look like paintings.  What would you suggest I do next and how?  In advance, thank you for your help.

    What mylenium said.
You cannot learn Photoshop from scratch in a forum, question by question.
As I've typed countless times over the years, Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its long and steep learning curve.
Your needs far exceed the scope of this forum.
To start learning, take a class in your nearest community college or similar educational institute, watch the Adobe video tutorials on this site, take a subscription to lynda.com, etc.  There are many learning tools out there, just Google "learning Photoshop".
Good luck (and please remember this is a user site. I do not work for Adobe).

Like in Photoshop: Hue/Saturation and you the colorize.

you could try the Colour Tint filter (Effects > Video Filters > Quicktime).

  • My i860 canon printer is suddenly printing color pictures with light blue and darker blue horizontal

My i860 canon printer is suddenly printing color pictures with light blue and darker blue horizontal lines.  I have changed the cyan blue cartridge and the problem still exists.  Does anyone know what the problem is?  Thanks.

    Hi CSM,
We can perform a print head cleaning and alignment on the printer to try and resolve the issue.  To do this, please follow the steps below:
    PRINT HEAD CLEANING
With the printer powered on, press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button.
    <1> Resume/Cancel button
When the power lamp blinks once, release the button.
Note:  The power lamp will blink and print head cleaning will start. The cleaning completes when the power lamp stops blinking.  (It will take about 30 seconds to a minute for the power lamp to stop blinking and remain lit solid green.)
    PRINT HEAD ALIGNMENT
Confirm that the printer is powered on, and load Letter-sized white plain paper in the sheet feeder.
Note:  If paper other than Letter-sized white plain paper is loaded, print head alignment cannot be performed properly.  The automatic print head alignment must be performed from the Automatic Sheet Feeder on the top of the printer.  It cannot be performed from the cassette.
Press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button, and release it when the Power lamp blinks four times.  (The Power lamp will start blinking and pattern printing will start.)
Print head alignment will start automatically as the following pattern is printed.
Note:  Please wait approx. three minutes until printing is completed.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I convert 16bit greyscale pictures to 24bit color pictures

    Hi,
I am stuck at coloring 16bit greyscale pictures without losing the
resolution of 16bit, as it would happen when using the
WindMapping-thing (which reduces the displayed resolution to 8bit).
I figured that what I would need is probably an array consisting of
32536 RGB-color clusters to convert all greyscale values to a color,
    preferrably a rainbow spectrum.
I tried to create such an array via the HSL-model, where the coding of
a rainbow spectrum is easier than in RGB, and then converted it to U32
for obtaining the RGB-colors. The problem here is: Although HSL is
24bit in IMAQ, I can only get about 200 different colors when using
constant saturation and luminance. I understand that 24bit is made of
3x8bit for H,S and L. - However, as the HSL-model describes colors as
    Hue (0-359°); Saturation (0-100%) and Luminance (0-100%) I don't really
understand, how those 360 Hue-values could possibly be put into
U8-representation required by the IMAQ ColorToRGB-vi.
Does anyone have an idea how to obtain a 24bit-rainbow spectrum coded
in 32536 distinct colors other than manually creating all the entries?
The reason I need this is to determine whether it will be necessary to
process the images all the way through using I16 or if can be done with
U8 as well without losing too much of detail.
I couldn't figure out any other way to DISPLAY true 16bit other than
the detour using 24bit pictures. It is only about display, not about
processing, which can be well done using the IMAQ I16 format...
    Thanks for any input!
    C.

Thanks for the answer and especially the link, George!
Unfortunately our relevant grey values are distributed over a wide
range of about 5000, which I would rather use instead of letting them
melt down to 256...Of course - being able to distinguish between 5000
different greyscale values with the human eye is another story!
However - a co-worker of mine came up with the idea of coding the grey
values in terms of travelling along the axes of the RGB cube, as shown
    in the attached image.

  • Colored Pictures Turning Black and White in Certain Files (PSE 9.0)

    Hey guys, how's it going?
I'll try to keep this breif, but it may take a little while to explain. I've been getting a problem with PSE 9.0 where an image or layer that is in color suddenly turns black and white when I paste it into an open file. It's a lot easier to explain with pictures, so here you go.
    Figure 1
    Figure 2
(Before anything else is said, I would like to point out the reasoning behind relating a middle-finger, a hammer and sickle, and a pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic into a single image; it's a parody project I'm working on. It's about 30 times weirder out of context, trust me.)
As you can see, the source imagery with "APPA JAK" on it (figure 1) is in full color, but when I pasted it onto the layer with the hammer and sickle, it turned black and white. This has become the same with a few other images I have found, but I couldn't find any reliable way to recreate the problem. The problem is also the same weather I find the pictures from the internet, copy those to my clipboard, and paste them or simply paste them from my computer.
If you need any more information (dxdiag, settings, etc. etc.) feel free to ask, and thanks in advance for helping me!

Just a guess because I don't have the original images to play with, but the hammer and sickle is a grayscale image so images posted into it become grayscale.
Use Image / Mode / RGB Color to change the target image to color before pasting anything into it.
Alternatively, use File / New to create a new image that is full color and paste everything into it.

  • Best way to get color / picture in FCE

I'm looking for something to help me get the best picture quality in FCE.
I've looked at Colorista and others, but they're all for FCPro.
    Tony

I totally agree, the lighting was bad there. I have lighting, but I wanted to try and learn how to work with poor lighting because I'll be shooting in situations where I have no control over the lighting. But your point is good. I bought the HV30 because it has a manual focus wheel, which I'm finding a bit difficult to nail the focus.... oh well....
I've since used the color adjustment filters and have gotten things to pop a bit more. This will just take some time to tweak.
Have you all tried this > http://www.noiseindustries.com/products/fxfactory/index.html
They have some color correction and other filters.
    And this one > http://www.kafwang.com/EUREKA/EurekaMain.html
They have some pretty slick filters and color correction stuff as well.

  • Match Colors (Picture Styles) for D7100

    Hello Everyone,
i am fairly new to Aperture and developing RAW Files. I´m currently testing out different RAW Converters and are between chairs on Lightroom and Aperture.
This far i like the workflow and handling of Aperture much better despite on thing.
While shooting JPEGs on my Nikon D7100 i like the colors set to Picture Style Neutral best and Lightroom does have Camera Calibration with this Colorset already matched perfectly. Aperture does display colors very differently. I tried to match colors manually and save it as a preset. So far without success.
Color reproduction could make the edge and i would prefere Aperture if i managed to get the colors right. How could i make a own Colorpreset "Neutral" in Aperture. Playing with the Color Brick didn´t work. I guess because i where doing it wrong.
    Thank you,
    Christian

    Sorry, nevermind.
I just found a Thread discussing the exact same thing.
Seems like it is not that easy.
