Color profiles do not stay synchronized across all applications in CS6

I've recently uopgraded my system to Maverick.   Using Adobe CS6 Suite. It seems as of late when selecting a color profile for the creative suite, the application does not keep the color setting.  They say synchronized but when reopening to check again, it says unsynchronized.
Also, When making a PDF from InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop, the colors look dead and darker in the PDF.  Again, the Acrobat color prefs say "unsynchronized".  If I go to Bridge and re-apply the profile, all is fine, but on reopening the color prefs in Acrobat they are back to "unsynchronized".  This also happens in InDesign and Illustrator.
All this an more.  I work with a client who is the inhouse graphics manager.  We run the same software and the same profiles, yet the same color files look different on his computer than on mine.
Can someone shed  some light on this issue.  Been doing this many years and have not had this problem.

Not all that familiar with Color sync but bridge should be acting as the central and when you have selected the correct color profile in Bridge CS6 under the menu edit / color settings all CS6 applications should have this profile / setting show.
In your case I would start to reset preferences for Bridge with holding down option key while starting Bridge and from the menu choose reset preferences.
Maybe even do this with al other CS applications if only bridge does not help.
And this is no help to you but I'm still not on Mavericks but if I make the switch I don't use the option for upgrade but make a day free to install everything from scratch. For normal use with a few apps it might not be important to do so but with a lot of apps and daily use in a professional workflow I always go for security versus speed

  • Images displayed in Labview do not stay synchronized across multiple frames

    Hello,
I'm a little new of a poster, but a long time lurker. I'd like to thank everyone that answers here for all of the questions that I have previously read and from which I have learned so much.
I am creating an Labview FPGA based solution in Labview 12.0 32bit on Windows 7. I have a target FPGA module which captures data from an external apparatus, does some processing locally, and then uses a DMA FIFO to send this data to the host, one sample/pixel at a time.
The host takes this pixel data, does a little bit more processing to it and adds each row to a queue. This queue is then looked at, some more processing is done to the rows and they are combined together, finally resulting in a 2D array that is displayed using the 'intensity chart' indicator.
I have managed to get this running at around 10 fps, creating essentially a movie. The synchronization is done via a trigger signal sent from my external apparatus to the FPGA to keep both each row and each frame displaying correctly.
The problem has been that as I try to add a little bit more functionality to the host (specifically - I'm trying to send across 2 channels simultaneously from the FPGA by combining them into a U32, and so I need to pull that combination apart and translate it back into fixed point in an automatically indexed for loop, at which point I pass one of the channels through same processing as before before displaying just that one channel), I have seemed to hit some sort of wall of functionality in that my synchronization no longer works. That is, my image, instead of being properly centered, it is skewed so I see only half of each frame each time I display the image. Finally, when I move my mouse around, or scroll my front panel, or even hover over the start bar (and have the Windows 7 window previews pop up) or do pretty much anything else with the Windows UI, my frames start 'skipping' and they change where they overall in the horizontal and vertical direction.
This leads me to conclude that there is some resource that I am unaware of that is limited and that overflows whenever I do anything with the UI. This resource then overflows and drops some lines of pixels. When the program recovers, it goes back to displaying full frames, but by this point things are out of synch already, so I never return to a 'correct' image, although this is just a hypothesis.
    Question:
Does anyone know if there is a hidden resource that Labview is using that would cause degradation of performance tied to UI changes in Windows or in Labview proper? If so, is there anything that I can do to increase this resource? If not, then is there another approach that I should be using for these type of high throughput requirements?
    Thanks everyone!
    Adrian

    Hi Florian,
    Thanks for your response!
I can try that - thanks.
In terms of giving more, unfortunately, I am unable to post the actual code, or else I would have already. I will try to describe the problem as much as possible:
I am processing data points in the FPGA, then transferring to the host. At the host, I am combining the elements together into a 2D array, transposing them, and sending them back to the FPGA. On the FPGA side, I am again operating on each element, before transferring back to the host. Now that the final values are at the host, I am displaying them.
    1. Is there a quick way to transpose a 2D array on the host? I assume that I will need to gather all of the elements together into a 2D array and then transpose it, before splitting it up again. Is that correct?
When I split it out again, is there a faster way to do it than to auto-index this array in a for loop and feed that into a DMA FIFO back to the FPGA?
    2. My assumption is that the host cannot process things fast enough and that it is the cause of the dropped pixels. Is there a way to see where a buffer is dropping data during operation? Other than the 'timeout' states on the DMA FIFOs, is there a way to check on queues or other host constructs? Would this be purely through the queue 'get number of elements left' method?
    3. My algorithm is reliant on a transpose, which is why I have a back and forth between the FPGA and the Host. Do you know of a good way to apply a transpose on an array purely in the FPGA? That would eliminate a round trips and thus reduce a lot of the load on the host.
    Thanks for your help!
    Best,
    Adrian

  • Color settings not staying synchronized

Using the latest versions of CS6. I've launched Bridge, go to "Edit", "Creative Suite Color Settings", select my setting and Apply. All applications are now synced to use the same color settings. I can check InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop and it will show the suites being synchronized. If I quit the applications, then go back into any of the applications later in the day or the next day, and check the color settings, it will usually show the creative suites as not being synchronized. Not sure why it's not staying synchronized. Anyboy have any ideas as to why that is?

    Curt,
Thanks for the response. I'm using a Mac. Sorry I didn't mention that previously. I do not have Bridge set to launch at startup. Just checked the Color settings for the first time today, and so far still synchronized. But, no telling for how long. Just seems to randomly go out of sync. But, as far as I can tell, even when it says it's not in sync, when I check the other apps, they appear to be still using the same color settings, they just say they aren't in sync.

  • 2012 R2 RDS - Your roaming profile was not completely synchronized - Event ID 1509 1504 - After installing Update 1

In my deployment I have 2 brokers, and 3 session hosts. I finally installed Update 1 and all following updates available (the ones that were available about two weeks before). Also updated Forefront to v4.3 (SCCM managed).
I have roaming TS profiles enabled with folder redirection and also policy set to "delete local copy of roaming profiles" after logout. Profile folders are on a network share (Server 2003). Things were working ok until Update 1 and rest of updates
    got installed.
I started getting events 1509 and 1504 when users logoff and the screen displays "Your roaming profile was not completely synchronized" message briefly. The only file affected so far is ntuser.pol.
There are two variations of the event, one claiming it cannot write the local server copy to fileshare, and the opposite, from file share to c:\users\username.
    ====
Windows cannot copy file \\server\profileshare\username.V2\ntuser.pol to location C:\Users\username\ntuser.pol. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.
     DETAIL - Access is denied.
    =====
Windows cannot copy file C:\Users\username\ntuser.pol to location \\server\profileshare\username.V2\ntuser.pol. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
    ==========
Permissions have not changed. The only thing changing is the Updates installed on the servers. I tried running with AV realtime protection off, no change. Ntuser.pol is already on the exclude list in Forefront.
This is happening on my test server and 2 prd servers. Any ideas. I looked for related hotfixes but not coming up with anything.
The whole reason for installing Update 1 was so that we can continue to receive security updates...

    Hi,
    Thanks for your comment.
When a roaming profile user logs off, the NTuser.dat file is always updated on the roaming profile share. The corresponding NTuser.pol file is only updated if the timestamp of the local copy that was created at logon is newer than the copy found in the roaming
profile share. A synchronization problem may occur if a user with a roaming profile logs on to multiple client computers at the same time. This can eventually cause policy settings to be applied incorrectly.
For example, if the Group Policy loopback feature is applied on one of the client computers, the NTuser.dat file on the roaming profile share may contain loopback policy settings that are not present in the NTuser.pol file. If this problem occurs, the loopback
policy settings that are targeted at one client computer may be unexpectedly applied to a user who logs on to a different client computer.
So please check the permission or group policy which you have applied and also whether you are performing multiple connection at a time.
Note: This KBhere providing only for reference as it’s for previous version.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • I am so frustrated with mail.  It keeps hanging and it's not synchronized across all my devices.  Is there a better app?

Am I the only one having such a frustrating time with mail?  I'm working along and suddenly if just stops responding.  If I wait long enough, it will come back to life, but who wants to work through 100 emails, that way?  Also, it is not always synchornized across my devices.  I forward all my accounts to icloud.

    Or this.  Same issue...

  • White is still Yellow in all Adobe programs - Changing color profile did not work!

I followed some other threads, and their advice was to change the color profiles. I did that, I am running on windows 8.1 and in photoshop, indesign and illustrator my whites are still yellow.

Have you got the correct colour profile installed for your hardware? or even try turning colour management off to see if that fixes the problem

  • My Macbook pro started running incredibly slow and I am getting the spinning beach ball of death across all applications.

I have no idea why this is happening. I normally use Word, Excel, Google Chrome and sometimes Photoshop when using my computer and then one day it started getting super slow. This is my etrecheck.
Computer running slow all of the sudden. Getting spinning beach ball of death through all applications all the time. Computer losing charge while not plugged in.

    Linc,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. The beachball is literally every other minute. I tried to take the time to it's most basic second and it was 4:01:04 - I am currently backpacking in Laos with my bf and we are travel writers/photographers and he is helping me get this info.
We didn't know what anonymyze meant but we tried to make sure you couldn't see my name. So far the spinning beach ball has occurred 4 times in just writing these 4 lines.
We tried to make sure we didn't overwhelm you with the 4000 lines or more but just did a couple days worth of text. Thanks again for your time.

  • Selected color profile for new images from "clipboard" is wrong in CS6

I have given up trying to find the answer to this myself.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD+SHIFT+4) to the clipboard.
    2. Select File > New from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected Preset.
    3. Notice how in CS6 the color profile under "Advanced" is "Display" and NOT "sRGB" — in CS5 it is sRGB.
    4. Paste from the clipboard into your new document and get the color profile mis-match warning if you are in CS6.
It is either not picking the color space of the clipboard properly like it will in CS5, or I am missing something somewhere.
Nothing I do in an attempt to fix this is working. I have sRGB set as my default profile in color settings, and nothing I do changes this setting for the "Clipboard" preset.
I am getting sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" every time, opening up a new document sized to my clipboard and then getting the color profle mismatch warning when I paste in the clipboard contents!
I take so many screenshots as I develop websites this is a CONSTANT problem as I am constantly creating new documents from the clipboard to check alignments, zoom in to get color samples, and many other reasons.

That helps a little. It explains why "Display" is selected when I create a new from the clipboard in PS.
The ColorSync profile from a screenshot opened in the Preview App shows up as "Color LCD" in the inspector.
So, I assume what is happening in PS is that the new document is being created in the working color space and my clipboard contents don't match that and therefore causes the warning?
I could see getting a warning if I create a new document from the clipboard in PS and it embeds the "Display" profile within it, and then I try and paste something which has an sRGB (or other) embedded profile, but I was assuming the new document from the clipboard contents would have the same color profile as the clipboard contents.
I just don't get why I get a warning when I create the new document and the very first thing I try and do is paste the clipboard contents into said document.
However, when I select "sRGB" from the dropdown list instead of "Display" in the PS dialogue box it does not give me the mismatch warning.
Although the warning does say my source and destination document are both using the "Display" profile but my working space is sRGB.
The more I think about it, I may have just checked the "Don't show again" box in CS5 if I ever had the same issues and therefore never dealt with that again!
I am going to go read as much as I can about the color profiles in PS. I used to deal with this a lot as a print designer but not so much anymore working in UI design. I only really look into these issues when I get weird color shifts on saved files and things of that nature.
Thanks for taking the time to explain some things!

  • How to declare a variable available for across all applications??

    Dear Friends,
If i declare a global variable in the component controller it will be available during its runtime and its value get expired if i open same webdynpro component application in different log-in.I need to access one variable across all login of users and across many webdynpro applications created. What should i do??
    Please advice me.Thanks in advance.

    Thanks  Mr.Gardiner for your reply,
I do not know much about this Shared Memory Objects can you please help me.
My requirement is that my application which is attached to the portal has access to many concurrent users. I have a screen for which there is a edit button,  on click of which i need to restrict other users from edit . This is based on portal ID and another unique id for that screen.I thought of lock object but  i guess that wouldnt help me b'se i am not writing anything to the database but need to restrict users in controlling the editability of the UI element. In this scenario user can be same user with different application or another user using this application.
So if i save those unique ID's acrros applications,  i can validate and throw a message for other users when they try to do edit action when one user is already doing it.

  • Columns used across all applications

Does there exist a standard report to detect which columns of my tables (and which not...) have been used/referenced in my applications ? Is there an internal table holding that data ? TIA Bernhard

    Bernhard,
    1) What would this report show?
    2) Would this include all tables in all schemas mapped to your workspace? So if you had 20 tables in your schema and you had one form on a table in your application, this report should show all tables and columns which aren't referenced in your application?
    3) Should this be across workspace or across an application?
    4) This could report on those applications which use HTML DB Automatic Row processing, but this could not accomodate DML you've written yourself. Which then may result in a misleading report.

  • Generating queries across all application servers

When making query changes, the changes only take affect on the App server the user is on (load balancing). When saved, it is not generated to all of the App servers. Is there a way to insure that all query changes are propogated to all of the app servers ?

Yes, you are correct. We also have to generate all trasnsported queries. However, our ETL folks are now changing queries on the fly in production along with some "Super USers". When this is done, the chnages are not being propogated to all of the App servers until the query is regenerated thru RSRT. Is there some way to propogate these changes automatically.

  • Plugins are not staying disabled across browser restarts.

I am disabling plugins in about:plugins. Recently I noticed that all plugins are enabled. Disabling seems to work, but after a browser restart all plugins are enabled again. procmon.exe suggests that there are changes written to pluginreg.dat when disabling a plugin. Deleting pluginreg.dat or addons.sqlite (and disabling again) didn't help either.
This behavior is not limited to specific plugins, but all of them that I have installed.

tluzat, i have the same issue every now and then & didn't find any real solution for it yet either...
looking at your extensions, i don't see much similarities (except adblock) to my setup. i'm mainly using the aurora build, can't remember exactly for how long this ongoing but it occurred at least since the 19a2 builds. clearing the various plugin related files within the profile folder didn't bring success for me either :-/
as a workaround i can launch firefox into safemode, then from within it select "restart with addons disabled" and after entering safe mode again disable plugins - their state will then be usually remembered after a normal restart of the browser.

  • Mail accounts on multiple devices not staying synchronized

    Hi
I'm having trouble with keeping my Gmail accounts synchronized.  I have a MacBook Air running Mavericks and an iMac also running 10.9.2.
After deleting many emails from the Gmail account on the MacBook, the same emails are not being deleted from my iMac.
I believe I have the Gmail account settings the same on both computers.
I'm not really clear what the synchronize functions of Mail do, since not much seems to happen when I click on them.
I didn't have this problem until recently updating Mavericks, but I am not sure if that is the cause.
I'm not really sure how to trouble shoot this one, which is why I am asking for help.

    Hi
Thanks.  Still going nuts with this.
Do I need to also delete the un-synched accounts from my mobile devices?  Or just the computers using Mavericks?

  • I want to have my email inbox synchronized across all my devices

I am using the mail app on my mac, and i was wondering if there is a way to sync all of the mail from one account onto all my devices (IPhone, and PC).  Meaning that once i delete an email from my mac, it will be deleted on my other devices.  What is happening is that i will get an email, but it will show up on my Mac and my IPhone.  Is there a way that once i delete it from my mac, it will be deleted off of my IPhone so I dont need to delete it again.  I already know about deleting the mail from the server once deleted from one device, but i want to be able to delete an email from my mac and have it disappear from my Iphone so i dont need to delete it again.

  • Adobe Help (F1) Does Not Open - Applies to All Applications in TCS 3.5

I've installed version 3.5 of the Technical Communications Suite (TCS) on a windows XP 32 computer. All of the applications open as they should but the HELP for each application does not open. Any suggestions?

So you've copied the contents of the DVD into some folder on the server & then are running the installer at a workstation by browsing to it on the server drive. Does the workstation have full admin rights? Remember, if installing on Vista or higher, you have to manually "give" yourself full rights to your C:\ drive - it doesn't happen automatically like it did with XP.
I'm still not positive that installing this way will work correctly. If you think it is, try running the AIR runtime (freebie off the Adobe website) on the workstation & see if the help appears.
Oh & the workstations have access to the internet, right? If they don't, then you'll definitely need to contact Support to get activated.
