Color rendering issue

i'm using aperture since version 1. and till today i see the same color rendering issues which occurs when applying heavy exposure correction on my canon pro camera files.  when i correct overexposed images i get a strange yellow  posterisation not a smooth transition like with, capture one, raw developer, adobe lightroom  & arc. i decided to do a more controlled test to see  whats going on.  the result is kind of disapointing......  http://db.tt/xGvmhOzK  not only is aperture far behind when it comes to recover overexposed areas compared to it's competitors it also shows missing colors !

well i tried adjusting them, but it makes no difference, i am thinking it is a xorg issue

  • Cross product Color Rendering Issue (probably not profiles)

    I can't yet figure this scene out:
    I use a grayscale tif file as a slide/theme background in Apple's Keynote. Since it's grayscale, it prints using only K ink from both Preview and when imported into an InDesign page.
    Since the grayscale serves only as background, completed slides are of course full of color elements on top of the background. Trouble is when I print to my color laser the background area prints in CMYK (and as a further test, when I print to an inkjet the background area prints in RGB or RGBK). This "quatra-toning" massively shifts the variously shaded K background to very blue-ish. (the images is of a piece of slate stone).
    This color shift persists no matter how I can figure to save the slides: using Keynotes export to save slides as jpgs, pngs, or tifs. It also persists when printing from screen captures (which I believe OS X saves as pngs by default). Yet *all* these formats show a nice grayscale slate background onscreen.
    I guess there's some color rendering, or color management, or both issue. I'm no color management maven, but I have used Bridge to set a suite-wide colorspace, and have used Photoshop to change the export files' colorspace as needed.
    What's the fix? TIA. Bart

  • Any1 is still having text or other color rendering issues on Win7/Vista FF, Safari, Opera or Chrome?

    People have seen many different issues with blank Flash content
    or wrong text colors since 10.1 using Windows Vista or Win7 32bit or 64bit FP plugin = still same issue.
    No1 knows why but Disabling AERO THEME is the medicine to fix it or just run Internet Explorer
    when you encounter bad behaviour on Firefox, Opera or Chrome which use same FlashPlayer.
    Would be good if people would reply here or email to me [email address deleted by host]
    so I could post here for tracking and contact purposes.
    Because without knowing what GPU - Graphic card people are using and if Disabling Aero Theme helps or not?
    Remember without enough INFO these wierd rendering issues can't never be fixed up!
    One site that isn't rendering fonts fine using ATI V3750 workstation graphic card with latest drivers >
    http://www.hkadr.com/swf/broadcast_player122_stream.swf
    This is proof that Flash fonts are rendered bad while on that site using AERO Theme > http://www.mediafire.com/?0tpsse0jt55tjvc

    The easiest way to fix rendering issues is to disable Hardware Acceleration.

  • SSRS web based report viewer control rendering issues - text getting clipped chopped off

    Hi,
    I am using web based SSRS report viewer control to display SSRS reports in browsers like Chrome, FF, IE, Safari etc. My issue is some text is getting chopped off (clipped) in all cells of some reports. I investigated on my end by analyzing generated HTML
    and I could see a problem in the HTML that report viewer control is generating. But I am afraid to apply any HTML or Javascript hacks at the moment considering we have hundreds of reports.
    You can see in above image how text got chopped off. The problem in HTML (given below) is the text has been wrapped in a div tag with a fixed height. If I remove the height and also padding on parent TD, the text appears properly.
    <td class="A23dfe7c5f99245f2a0db522a22a6035597c" style="HEIGHT:5.00mm;background-color:#d3d3d3;"><div style="HEIGHT:3.24mm;overflow:hidden;"><table lang="en-US" cellspacing="0"

    Hi Murtaza,
    According to your description, when you display the report with Report Viewer control, the data within the text is cutoff.
    Based on my research, the issue could cause by that Arial Unicode MS font hasn’t been installed on the server where Reporting Services run. Besides, when we use ReportViewer control to render report, we’d  better set
    AsyncRendering="true" in the Report Viewer control. Also please run the IE with compatibility mode. For more information, please refer to similar threads below:

  • Font rendering issue in Windows 7 with Aero

    I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and using Firefox 19.0.2. Aero is enabled, but the ClearType font smoothing is turned off.
    At completely random intervals, text is rendered like this in Firefox:
    http://i49.tinypic.com/vgshv4.png
    Sometimes it can be fixed as simply as hovering the mouse pointer over the affected parts. Sometimes I have to mark the text to get it rendered correctly, and sometimes it can be fixed by scrolling the page.
    It can happen on any sites with any encoding, regardless of the font size and color, but I noticed it's extremely rarely happens with Japanese text. It never affects the whole page, only random parts of the on-screen text, and sometimes the interface text as well. Also worth mentioning that it never happens when Aero is turned off.
    Is this a Firefox bug, or is something wrong with my system? Thanks in advance.

    I had the same issue, uninstalling windows update kb2670838 fixed it for me. See also:

  • IPad Game Rendering Issues

    I just downloaded Infinity Blade today, and about 10 minutes into the game, I realized my character and any opponents I faced have rendering issues. Their shading an color is of, and the colors sometimes flicker. This happens in every single video, battle and screen. I've restarted the iPad three times, and completely shut down the game & other apps. I also noticed that when I turned the iPad back on, the screen flickered right before showing the lock screen. What should I do? Is this a problem with the A5 processor?

    Try a reset of the iPad.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Is that a webkit rendering issue in Safari 5.1?

    I add my voice to rendering issues encountered in Safari 5.1, here they are:
    1) Fonts look pixelated on some websites. Here's an example drawn from weebly.
    The font used here is OFL Sorts Mill Goudy, so I guess there must be a font rendering engine in weebly that allows non web safe fonts to be displayed properly. That works fine in Firefox 5 & 6, and until recently on Safari 5. Chrome 12 has exactly the same issue as Safari 5.1, so it could be a general rendering issue in webkit.
    2) Videos on Vimeo show now a black rectangle instead of the video.
    3) The "Insert image" feature in this forum takes forever to load, displaying a white rectangle during several seconds. Same issue with the Evernote clip bookmarklet.
    Hope these issues will be fixed soon, any help is appreciated if something can be changed in Safari settings.
    Note: resetting Safari (including cleaning cache) doesn't solve the described problems. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on Mac Pro Quad 2.8 Ghz.

    Thanks for helping diagnose this.
    However, my testing indicates that this is not a bug with border-collapse: collapse. Here is why:
    If I change the value of border-collapse to "separate" and add "border-spacing: 0", the bug remains. To try this, request http://www.panlex.org/cgi-bin/plxu28-bug2.cgi .
    If I leave the value of border-collapse unchanged but change the button elements in the cells to plain text, the bug disappears. To try this, request http://www.panlex.org/cgi-bin/plxu28-bug1.cgi .
    On the basis of this testing, it would seem to me that the bug is dependent on the button elements and independent of the border-collapse CSS attribute.
    This doesn't explain, however, why you have found border-collapse: collapse producing slow results with other large tables and it doesn't do so with my table in http://www.panlex.org/cgi-bin/plxu28-bug1.cgi . It also doesn't explain why you saw the bug disappear when you changed border-collapse on my page but I didn't see it disappear.
    Any further diagnostic help would be welcome.

  • A different take on the "Save For Web" color shift issue...

    Ok, everyone who has fussed much with photoshop and "Save For Web" knows about the color shift issue. If you want your colors to look right after you "save for web", you have to work in the sRGB colorspace, and have Proof Colors checked (soft proofing on) and the proof color setup set to Monitor RGB, otherwise what you get looks terrible when displayed in a browser.
    But of course if you are editing for print, this is exactly what you DON'T want to do. Well, I work in both. In fact, often the same images, and I want them to appear as close as reasonably possible in both print and web formats, and without a lot of fussing on my part. And I'm pickiest about the print mode, since I have the most control there, so that's the way I want to edit by default.
    Nothing new here.
    Now comes the interesting part (in my mind, anyway). Obviously there is a known remapping -- because PhotoShop DOES it when you select Proof Colors. So the inverse mapping must also be known (with some gamut issues, but I'm not concerned with those, because, after all, I'm VIEWING it on a monitor anyway!). What I want is a plug-in that automatically applies that inverse mapping so that, when I do a Save For Web, I end up with the colors I've been viewing all the time when setting the shot up in print mode. Then, too, I don't have to worry about what mode I'm in when I'm editing -- it just fixes it when doing a save-for-web.
    Again, I want to edit in my normal print mode (typically ProPhoto colorspace, and with soft-proofing off or set to the printer/medium combination I expect to use), then do a single operation (might be a multi-step action) to "screw up" my colors so that when I then do a "Save-For-Web", the resulting image, when viewed on the average color-stupid browser, looks like the image I've been seeing in Photoshop.
    Anyone know of such a beast?   I would gladly pay for a plug-in that really works and fixes the problem.
    And if you have other solutions, I'm interested, but the absolute requirement is that it I do one single edit pass for my colors for both print and web use, and I get what I see on the screen in PS on both the prints and on the web display (i.e., working in sRGB/Monitor RGB mode all the time won't cut it). And PREFERABLY, let me do all my editing work in the ProPhoto (or at least AdobeRGB) colorspace so I have a gamut closer to what the printer can do.
    Anyone got a decent solution for this?

    Sorry, I think I'm being unclear.  This has nothing to do with individual monitor profiles.  In Proof Setup, "Monitor RGB" amounts to turning off ALL color management, and simply letting the monitor do what it will.  It is what the vast majority of web browsers do (even if the operating system provides color management, the browsers don't take advantage of it), so that is what you need to consider for images that will be viewed on a web browser.  If you convert your image to sRGB,  select Monitor RGB in Proof Set up, and turn on Proof Colors, you will see the image as it would appear on a web browser (after you save it as a jpg or use "Save For Web/Devices" to save it as a jpg).   Since almost everyone is running different uncalibrated monitors, there will be lots of variation in how it will look to them, so precise control of the color is unimportant.
    That said, I would expect the color on a calibrated monitor (such as the one I use when editing) to be reasonably close to the colors I am seeing while editing in PS.  To the extent a monitor deviates from "calibrated", those colors will vary, but a good monitor should show good colors.   Unfortunately, this is NOT the case, as my previous post shows.  The colors produced by the steps above are oversaturated and significantly shifted in hue.  There is, to my mind, anyway, no reason for this.  Adobe clearly knows what the mapping is between the colors as it displays them in PS and the un-controlled "Monitor RGB" -- that is, it is the color map they are using during normal editing display.  If they were to reverse-apply that map prior to saving it as a jpg, then the image would appear on a browser on that same (presumably calibrated) monitor very similar to what you set up when editing.  Anyone else viewing the image on a web browser with a calibrated monitor would also see good colors.  To the extent other viewers' monitors are out of calibration, their colors will suck, but there's nothing you can do about that.
    I guess in some sense I AM "asking for a Color-Mamangement-solution for a "non-Color-Management-situation", but specifically I'm asking for PS Color Management to do the best it can for non-Color-Managed situations that we all face every day.
    Does that make more sense?

    Anyone got a decent solution for this?

    Chris
    I spent all day Googling and doing side by side comparisons of my old and new systems.
    My display is a Dell U2410. It has several presets, including sRGB and Adobe RGB. I've been using sRGB.
    On my OLD system, (Win XP, PsCS2, DwCS4) there seems to be no distinction between color managed and non color managed apps, even on this wide gamut display. I could capture (digital camera) in Adobe RGB, open and edit in PsCS2, save as .psd, convert to CMYK for print, or convert to sRGB for SFW. All images looked identical and they printed and displayed perfectly. I thought this was normal, and seemed logical. This also seems to be the source of my incorrect assumptions. I was trying to get my new machine to behave like my old one.
    So I get this new machine (Windows 7, PsCS5, DwCS5) and now (still in sRGB display mode) all color managed apps appear de-saturated. Non color managed apps are OK. If I switch the display to Adobe RGB, color managed apps are OK, but non color managed apps are way too saturated. From my investigation, I believe this is normal behavior on a wide gamut display. I've tried changing the Control Panel > Display > Screen Resolution > Advanced settings > Color Management options, but to no avail. Either I'm missing something, or Windows 7 is doing color management differently.
    It seems my only option now is to use Adobe RGB display setting for Ps, etc. and switch to sRGB for Dw and non color managed apps. Or, have 2 separate files for print and web. I've Googled 'til my eyes are numb and still not sure I'm getting this. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
    Finally, I don't see an edit function here, so I can't remove my previous incorrect reply. Moderator, please feel free to do so.
    Thanks

  • Custom Cell Renderer issue in Custom JTable

    I have CustomeTable extends JTable which renders different UI Components like (JTextField/ ComboBox /JButton/JCheckBox) in *"single column*" so i have overridden *getCellRenderer* and *getCellEditor methods.*
    Now my Custom Table changes contextually by selecting different nodes in JTree similar to Windows Explorer
    *The problem is Some times When i Click Button & then i click other Node which displays other UIComponents old components (Button is painted) instead of new COmponent(JTextfield or ...)*
    *For each UI Renderer i have called its repaint() method still this issue is noticed not frequentlly but yes occasionally.*

    When i click NODE A - which displays different UI in Right Split Info
    Row 2 Column 2 - has Validate Button
    Then i Click NODe B - Which displayes Contextual UI Components
    Row 2 Column 2 should display TextBox (as expected)

    I have debugged and verified my logic to call renderer is perfect.
    My rest of rows /columns displays appropriate UI Components except the

    I think after my Button Editor is Invoked & i perform some business logic Button renderer is not getting invoked ???

  • Color Management issues with Illustrator

    Can someone help me figure out the color management issues I'm getting when printing on an Epson 3880 from Illustrator?
    The image comes out severely red as evident on the face. I'm not getting the same problem when printing from Photoshop, even though I set same paper profile in printing dialog box.
    I attached two printed picture (one from Photoshop CC, and one from Illustrator CC) that I took with my iphone so that you can see the printed result.  Even when I try to simulate same thing using illustrator soft proofing process, the soft proof does not show me anything close to how it gets printed out. And I tried all device simulations to see if any would match it. Im using  CMYK SWOP v2 for Color space in both programs.

    Dougfly,
    Only an hour wasted? Lucky you. Color is an incredibly complex subject. First, forget matching anything to the small LCD on the back of your camera. That's there as a basic guide and is affected by the internal jpg algorithm of your camera.
    2nd, you're not really takeing a color photo with your digital camera, but three separate B&W images in a mosaic pattern, exposed thru separate red, green and blue filters. Actual color doesn't happen until that matrix is demosaiced in either your raw converter, or the in-camera processor (which relies heavily on camera settings, saturation, contrast, mode, etc.)
    Having said the above, you can still get very good, predictable results in your workflow. I have a few color management articles on my website that you might find very helpful. Check out the Introduction to Color Management and Monitor and Printer Profiling. In my opinion, a monitor calibration device is the minimum entry fee if you want decent color.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro Ver. 10.1.7 rendering issues

    Hello
    I have rendering issues with Acrobat X Pro Ver 10.1.7.
    When I zoom in to 100% and use the hand tool to move the image around, it moves about 1 inch then it freezes for 3-4 seconds, then I can move it again.  This happens at all zoom %, but it gets worse as I zoom in further.
    This gets even worse if I add text callouts and text boxes.
    Windows reports the size of the .pdf document at about 700 Kilobytes.
    I played with the Preferences - 3D & Multimedia - Rendeiring settings, etc. to no avail.
    I have 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise on a DELL Precision  M4500-I 1.6GHZ CORE I7 QUAD CORE laptop with 8 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800M with 1 GB of RAM.  I also played with the NVIDIA Control Panel settings to no avail.
    This gets very anoying, I need to get work done on these .pdf files and this issue slows me down, and irritates the hell out of me.
    I thought my laptop is underpowered, but at this point I tend to believe it is an Acrobat issue.
    Please, any input appreciated.

    Ahoy hoy,
    I became entangled in this problem upon first running iTunes;
    Running it for the first few minutes, all is fine, tick-tock, no problems so far.
    Then...
    If one is inclined to switch applications, to say Firefox etc., hide iTunes, and then switch back to iTunes upon revealing it from that wonderful hiding place that is apple+h, it comes out all DICOMBOGULATED... of which a preview can be seen:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/duffin-tim/243757719/
    It renders the interface all like, nineteen-eightees-Commador64-loading-a-game-up-like (I can post more previews of the glitch, some of them look pretty cool); what is the meaning of this?, am I alone in this problem? Coming to mind is a VRAM issue, but I am not one to speculate on such topics as it's not my professional area.

    I have seen some wierd GUI rendering issues as well, notably, this one:
    http://www.n715dp.com/links/itunes7gui.jpg
    I can replicate this happening by closing the window (leaving the application running) and then opening it up again. The only way to make it go away is to click on the iTunes Store source and then back on my library again.

  • What sequence setting would you use to edit 1280 x1080 DVCProHD (P2) and 1920 x 1080 AVCHD (Sony) in FCP. Experiencing Quality and rendering issues.

    What sequence setting would you use to edit both 1280 x1080 DVCProHD (P2) and 1920 x 1080 AVCHD (Sony) in a single timeline in FCP. I'm experiencing quality and rendering issues.  I've tried numerous settings but can't seem to figure this one out.  Thanks for your assistance.

    Although you can combine the avchd 1920x1080 material with prores 1920x1080 in the same timeline, you might land up saving time just converting everything to 1920x1080 prores 422.   You'd probably reduce the amount of rendering while you're working and exporting when you're done by a great deal.  This workflow will require much more drive space.

    I am displaying color in a table column... But instead of showing the color it is printing the color object like java.awt.Color[r=122,g=134,b=167]. What could be wrong....
    I am using AbstractTableModel and using fireTableRowsInserted and Updated method to add row to the table. I table row is a string of Objects. Please help... I am running out of time. I have a demo of my work as soon as I am done, so help please . I am adding the code below.
    Object[] dataRecord = new Object[5];
    dataRecord[0] = (Object)instStateClr;
    dataRecord[1] = InstId;
    dataRecord[2] = StartTime;
    dataRecord[3] = EndTime;
    dataRecord[4] = CorrValue;
    instactTabModel.updateInstActSumm(dataRecord);
    This is a string of Object of which the first location contains a color object.
    The color renderer used is as follows...
    instActyTable.setDefaultRenderer(Color.class,
    new ColorRenderer(true));
    The abstract table model is as given below...
