  • Creative Suite Color Settings Error Message

I have completely bought and installed Indesign CS5.5, Photoshop CS5 Extended and Illustrator CS5. The Adobe Bridge was of course installed with each of these packages. Now I try to setup one colour setting in Illustrator save it as required, than I start the Bridge, got to edit -> Creative Suite Colour Settings (just for synchronization) and I get a nice Error message, telling me that Colour Management can not be enabled.
My question now, do I really have to buy all theses software packages again in an adobe creative suite edition, or is it also possible to synchronize these settings if one buys this software applications separately?

That question is beyond me.  You might try posting this in the Creative Suite forum.  http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/creativesuites_windows

  • Need to bypass "Remove and check color cartridge" error message

I have an old HP printer giving me the error message "Remove and check color cartridge." I remove it, it's good, I put it back, same message. I try leaving it out, I get an error message asking me to install a color ink cartridge.
I DON'T EVEN WANT TO PRINT WITH THIS PRINTER. I have a new HP printer connected to my wireless network that I use for all my printing. I am using the old printer for its scanning capabilities in my crafting area. I am JUST wanting to scan old pictures to an external hard drive for storage, so that I don't have thousands of print photos sitting around in boxes and files.
    Please help.

I had the very same problem with my HP Officejet 7410 so cleaned the ink cartridge and carriage contacts per the directions listed on this link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01423559&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&la...
After my first attempt at cleaning these contacts, i reinserted the cartridge and tried printing again but I got the same error message.  Next I removed both cartridges (color & black) from their slots and after pointing a flashlight at the carriage I discovered the bottom of the carriage was covered with ink, so....using over a dozen cotton swabs I cleaned the bottom of the carriage as best i could.  Also, thinking that perhaps the ink cartridge was not manufactured exactly to its proper size and shape, when i inserted the cartridges back into their slots I slightly pressed them in to be sure the contacts would touch.
I was happy to see that now the error message is gone and my printer is printing again....well, at least for now.

  • Color Management / Error Message

In Adobe Bridge all pictures show a strong and un-natural blue tone. Trying to use the colormanagement to applicate my (calibrated) monitor profile, I get the error report:
"Suite color management is not activated. Suite Color management is only possible, if a registered product has been started in advance, to activate this function"
But - my CS4 IS registered!!
    Any Idea?
Background: I have been using a 30-days trial, then bought the product, and didn´t install it from the CD, but only registered CS4 in the startinng dialog. Perhaps better de-install everything and install it new from CD?

    Hi there
It sounds like you might be using Adobe Bridge, correct? If so, you can try reading through this help article that matches the error message you're receiving: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-suite-color-management-enabled.html
If you are indeed using Bridge and need additional help, please post again so that I redirect you to the correct forum.
EDIT: Most likely, you've installed Adobe Bridge with an individual product such as Photoshop or Illustrator, and not as a Creative Suite - see below.

  • HP Deskjet 2520hc color cartridge error message

HP Deskjet 2520hc color cartridge error messageAfter turning on the printer the ink indicator shows 3/4 color cartridge. Before the advent of the issue printed approximately 100 pages. After you print the first worksheet, an error is raised: the color cartridge is damaged. ... Print quality is good, including photos. To print the next page you need to turn off the printer and turn it back on. After printing error occurs again. All the recommended steps: cleaning the contacts of the printer, rebooting, no result is given. Ask for professional help.

Hey , The cartridges you used when you got it are SET-UP cartridges and it says that on the side of the cartridge, correct? If so, they are used to initialize the printer but not made for longevity or high print yield.  After the set-up cartridges you have to purchase normal cartridges that have significantly higher page yields and contain more ink. I'm sorry that you are not in a position to purchase more ink right now but unfortunately for you to continue printing you need all the ink cartridges and will have to invest in new cartridges while the others run out. To conserve ink try printing all your documents in black only. Your color ink cartridges will run out a lot slower. (be aware that even when printing in standard color and printing black text documents, you will still be drawing color ink.) Hope this clears this up for you a bit. Have a great day!

  • Size/color of error message

    Hello All,
Is it possible to change the default size and color of the WebDynpro error/warning messages? Can we somehow change the icon, displayed next to the error/warning mesages?
    Thanks,
    Asheesh

Since webdynpro is suppose to be a standard business UI, I doubt that there is a easy way to change the look and feel of the messages.

ITunes does not identify any available updates.
This same problem has occurred with different ipods synching to this same computer.

I have had trouble obtaining good prints from my Canon MP 490 printer. I did a
Color Sync first aid check and received this message:
    /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/EW-sRGB
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct. Could not be fixed.
What does this mean and what should I do? Thanks, HJZ

Going to need a Lot more info to be of any assistance. As Sig said what OS is running in Fusion. What version of Fusion. What version of QB. Did it ever run. Do you have the network setup in the Fusion OS. Have you installed VMware Tools.

  • "Your current color settings discard CMYK profiles in linked content" error message

I keep getting the following error message:
"Your current color settings discard CMYK profiles in linked content but profiles were set to be honored when this document was created."
every time I open an Illustrator document. I have no idea how this setting was set and no idea how to turn it off. I am just using the standard N America Prepress color setting in Bridge.
I have tried opening new documents using the supplied Ai CS4 new document profiles, no luck. So I am assuming it's a pref that is set in the app itself, yet I have no idea how to change this setting? I don't even see anything referring to a setting like this.
I found this archived discussion: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?128@@.59b58d84 which had no resolution. Thought I would throw it out there again and see if anyone has been able to fix this. It drives me insane having to deal with that error every time I open a saved document.

To disable the alert via scripting you can use the following line:
    app.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevel.DONTDISPLAYALERTS;
Put it in a function with null return and call the fuction where you want to supress any error dialog.
Mind you this would supress all the alert dialogs of the Illustrator App.

  • Anyone got this error message when going to the creative suite color settings from the bridge ?

I got this error message saying :"BRIDGE'S PARENT APPLICATION IS NOT ACTIVE, Bridge requires that a qualifying product has to have been launched at least once to enable this feature.
Plz anyone do you have any tips or help to fix this problem? thank you very much

What do you have installed, in what form did you acquire it, and what kind of computer you're using please?
So Bridge doesn't think you have any other Adobe programs installed properly.
If this isn't a trial or cracked version you're using, you're entitled to free installation support from Adobe by phone.

  • Error message when trying to change Foreground/Background color

Just in case anyone is having this problem in Photoshop CC where when you try to change/exchange or set to default the Background/Foreground colors and you get an error message of something like "Could not complete because of program error". I found the cure for this in an archive from when CS6 was in beta testing. Basically you have to delete the preferences file and restart the program. Here's a link to the article  http://forums.adobe.com/message/4336237. Apparently this "beta" problem can still occur as I am using the most recent version  of Photoshop CC.

  • Color error message when opening a photoshop file in Illustrator

I have a photo of the airport, with blue sky etc.  I would like to make it all one color as a background image.  I want the background of the photo to be light orange wit the building to be darker orange.  Is there a way to do that in Illustrator?  To try out different colors foreground and background or do I have to do it in Photoshop?  How do I fill all the colors in the photo to just the two colors?  This photo is untouched.
I also have a photo that has photoshop effects.  When I open it in Illustrator I get an error message.  It says "the document's embedded color profile does not match the current CMYK working space.  The current CMYK color management policy is to discard profiels that do not match the working space.
I have the start of a web page in my working space.  With this photo I think I am opening it in a separate page but it won't let me.  I probably will use the untouched photo but I'm curious why its giving me the message.  My workspace should be in RGB web safe colors.  Is that why it won't let me open the CMYK photoshop file?   I guess it has non-web safe colors but my thought was to change it to all web safe colors but maybe that is way too hard in Illustrator?
    thankx,

You can color a grayscale tiff in Illustrator by simply selecting it then selecting a color you want.
I would think if these are two spot colors and you really want two different oranges you would want to clip the building either in
Photoshop or Illustrator and place it on top of one another.
I would normally say do a duo tone but that would mix the two colors.
So this is how i would go about it in Illustrator
    1. Import the image as a grayscale tiff or import it and convert it to a grayscale by going to Edit>Edit Colors>Convert to Grayscale
    2. then select the background color.
    3. then copy the image and paste in front Command C and then Command F and select the darker orange color
    4. with the pen tool create an a path that is the shape of the building exactly. Make sure it is a closed path.
    5. then select the path and the top image the one you paste in front.
    6. then go to Object>Clipping Path>Make
7 I would then group the two
with this method you have to good with the pen tool, but that is true of Illustrator in general.
now with the CMYK image it is allowing you to place it but is simply warning you of the conversion taking place.
What you should do is select in your Photoshop and Illustrator color settings to sRGB since this is probably the space you want.
and convert the CMYK into a RGB file which is what you should have done in the first place.
So open it i Photoshop convert to sRGB and  replace it in Illustrator.
    All should be fine.

  • Presentation Director: Perpetual Error Message about Color + Resolution

I got my Presentation Director installed but now everytime I try to switch to my Dell 2405FPW through DVI, Presentation Director gives me an error that says "unable to display current settings. check resolution and color depth."  However, it still displays the 1920x1200 resolution at 32 bit color - it just displays that error message when I try to use that profile - then Presentation Director just crashes completely ....
In addition, when I try to recreate my docked DVI profile, sometimes it allows me to output 1920, but sometimes it only allows me to select 1280x1024 from the drop down list... it's very buggy.
How do I go about fixing this?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Okay, here's how it works.  I think this works ... please someone try to verify.
To create the DVI output (docked) profile
    1.  Plug the laptop into the dock
    2.  Disable the nview plugin (right mouse click desktop > nview properties > disable all)
    3.  Enable both the laptop LCD and external LCD
    4.  Set the external LCD as secondary (extend desktop to this screen)
    5.  set the laptop LCD as primary (extend desktop to this screen and set as primary monitor)
    6.  Open presentation director and create a new profile
    7.  Select DVI output only and select resolution (up to 1920x1200 should be available now)
    8.  Test the setting
To update the profile for "my normal display settings"
    9.  Disable the external LCD (uncheck "extend desktop onto this monitor")
    10.  Set the appropriate resolution for the laptop LCD (sometimes after running Presentation director, it gets all weird)
    11.  Select "my normal display settings"
    12.  Click "capture"
That should do it .... what a pain though.
