Colorful Tabs - Is there a problem closing a tab?

I am using Colorful Tabs and on several occasions when I close an individual tab [not the whole Firefox] I get a window message
ASSERT: Giving up waiting for the tab closing animation to finish....
Stack Trace:

As far as I could tell, there's no way to retrieve tabs closed by closing a tab group. They weren't in "Recently closed tabs" or "Recently closed windows". Considering there was no warning asking if you'd like to close all these tabs without being able to get them back, it's pretty annoying.

Only two data recovery programs I know of fit the bill:
Subrosasoft Filesalvage
Prosoft Data Rescue
Both run booted from CD.
If neither helps you may need an expensive data recovery firm.

I am always offered to close 2 tabs when 2 are open how please do i close just the latest tab

Is that when you are closing a window and/or Firefox?
To close the active tab you can use "Ctrl+W" or the tab context menu.
Firefox offers within the tab context menu by default "close tab", and "close other tabs".
To close the active tab use the close tab button at the far right of the tabs strip,
if you are set up that way, or the "x" on any tab that displays an "x".
With an extension you have more choices such as closing selected tabs, or double-clicking on a tab.

While browsing in 2 or more tabs, scrolling down the page with the mouse wheel causes Firefox to unexpectedly open the tab in a new window, closing the tab in the process and losing any data on it (such as a half written email etc.).

This problem is with Firefox 3.6.15 and also in the previous version. I've tried reinstalling but no joy.
This happens a lot. Several times a day. Very irritating. I keep losing work I've typed into a text box or email, or having to go back to the beginning of things (such as audio or video) because it has reloaded in a window.
I have McAfee security which checks the computer every week and removes virus and malware so I'm pretty confident there's no problem with that.
I'm sometimes so plagued by this problem that I have to switch to other browsers (I have Chrome, Safari and IE installed) and have not experienced any similar problem with those.
The problem does not seem to be in conjunction with any plugins. Although I have plugins installed the problem happens when none of the plugins is noticeably in use.

Cannot close my tab, everything run well but closing my tab

Suddenly I cannot close firefox tabs, I opened some tabs and click red X button but nothing happened. I can click menu, it run well, download, it run well, back button it works, bookmark button, it works. But one thing I can't do, it's closing tabs, all tabs.

There are 250 blank "new tabs" on startup. How to get rid of them withour closing them 1 by 1?

Tabs won't save when closing the browser

After updating to the latest firefox 33.0.2 it won't save my tabs or automatically reopen them the next time I open firefox. I already checked my settings and they are not the problem.

Does Firefox create a new sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder (i.e. the file has a current time stamp)?
You can check for problems with the sessionstore files (sessionstore.js) files in the profile folder that store session data.

I accidentally put all my tabs in one group. I'd like to get rid of the group without closing all the tabs in it; in other words, to undo putting all the tabs in one group. It would be useful to know how to remove a tab from a group without closing the tab, accidentally putting a tab in the wrong group will probably be a common error that needs to be easily undone.

Why does the "hooray you've just updated firefox tab open along with my home page tab everytime I sign into firefox since the update?

Since the last update, every time I sign onto firefox, I get two tabs that open. One is my home page the other tab is the hooray you've just updated firefox. How do I get rid of the tab from firefox telling me I've just updated?

Tab Groups are empty when loaded from tab group list

I have several tab groups which have been working successfully.
Today whenever I open a tab group the number of tabs is set to zero and all my tabs are lost. In the Tab Group List they show as 7, 19 etc.

The tabs I have open show as new tabs rather than the websites I had opened.

I have a large number of tabs open in a window, and when I hit "restore previous session" to open them, they are shown as "new tab" rather than the websites I had opened. Prior to the previous two updates, I had no problem with this, but now it's a recurring issue on Firefox.

Make sure that the history and possibly the disk cache are working.
Do you see the history in the History Manager (Library; Show All History)?

How do I remove color from my tabs. There is no color plug-in shown on my plug-in list to disable.

I want to remove the color on my tabs. There is no color add-on in my add-on list. However, in Cheevos for Firefox, there is a Tab Candy entry that is highlighted but no way of disabling it. How do you suggest I get rid of the Tab candy or the color tabs?
