Coloring 3d objects

Hi everybody,
I need help very urgently.
I'm trying to open 3D model from stl file and coloring each object with different color.
I'm able to open all these object but I'm facing problems with the coloring part.
Please, if any one knows the solution give to me.
Thanks

What are you trying to change. Are you mapping color points to the .stl? If so, then perhaps this example will be helpful.

Or are you just wanting to change the color of the mesh? The Using Meshes.vi example found from the NI Example Finder (Help>>Find Examples) shows the invoke node (SetMeshParms) to use.

  • How to get similar color for objects in different pictures

how do you get similar color for objects in different pictures
I have a prodject that i'm working on and i need to edit several images at once (preferabley) so that they are the same color. They are wooden cupboards and i need all the wood looking the same colour. In light room you can edit a group of images at the same time hence the colours are the same . Is this possible in Elements ? If so how do i do this ?
I have tried duplicating layers and it just replaces the whole image, it seems to work using levels layers but not the other layers ... I have 30 more images to do and would ideally not like to adjust all the images manually ? I dont mind doing minor tweaks. Essentially all the images where taken with the same camera and lighting and lens's ...
Screen shot is where I'm at at the moment...
I have posted this question else where but was told to repost  - this is a link to my previous post as to where we got to

You could try using the raw converter. Open one file and edit it (File>Open, pick the image and choose Camera Raw as the format before you click Open). Then open the next image and click the little four-lined square on the upper right side of the ACR window and choose Previous Conversion from the flyout menu.

why can't I change colors of objects?

Thanks KT.  I did mean the Fill color, but my real issue is that changing the fill color in the inspector doesn't change the color of the selected object.  In tis case, I was trying to chnage the fill color from pale blue to the more ingense blue:

  • Coloring PowerView Objects

    Hi,
Can I fill color in PowerView objects, for eg. need to fill Green\Yellow\Red in some fields to indicate their status?
    Thanks

    Hi TutulM,
Here is the link for Key performance indicators (KPIs) in Power View
Moreover, changing themes and object coloring is available in powerview but these changes will apply regardless of conditions. Conditional coloring of objects is handled internally by PowerView. In some situations like KPIs, you can choose the color options
to be displayed on your report.
    Hope you get the answer.

  • Change colors of objects when pressing (D)efault keyboard shortcut?

    Hi There,
Is is possible to change the colors an object gets when I press the (D) keyboard shortcut.  As it stands, the object defaults to black stroke with white fill, but I want to know if it is possible to configure it so that I can choose what the default stroke and fill color are for the shortcut.
    Thanks,
    Laz

    Hey Mylenium,
I didn't see the Make current appearance default in the Appearance panel, or it's drop down.  Can you help me get to it?
    See attached.  I'm on CS5.

  • Placing from Photoshop to InDesign is changing colors of object

I can't find anywhere on the Internet, through about an hour of searching now why my vibrant sRGB objects I made in photoshop look so drab when I place them in an InDesign file.
I don't know if it's being changed from RGB to CMYK...I've tried a few different options from suggestions I found online that sounded like it might be the solution...but am still left with dead looking images.
This is an example of how it looks like in photoshop
And then what it looks like when I place it into an InDesign Document
So, I don't know what's going on or why the color has to be changed like this...but hopefully one of you gurus can tell me how to fix this!
The problem I have is that I created a brochure entirely in photoshop and I really don't like how the text gets pixelated when blown up or how it can't be selected if need be...so I'm recreating the brochure in InDesign...but this whole color change issue is really perturbing me!
Thanks in advance for the help!
Oh...and if there is a link somewhere out there that says how to make InDesign brochures so that the graphics show up sharp without taking up a ton of memory so the pdf's can be emailed...that would be awesome!

to reduce file size--try exporting as PDFX1a (preset)
In this case, that's probably NOT a good plan. PDF/X-1a converts everything to CMYK and only downsamples images above 450 ppi and then only to 300 ppi. It's meant for press. For email I personally would start with the [High Quailty Print] preset, then use the PDF optimizer in Acrobat Pro to flatten the transparency and downsample the images, to 150 ppi to start, but you may need to go further, and to throw out most of the extraeoous document info your readers don't need (basically check every box except the one to unembed fonts). I think the flattening in Acrobat is better than flattening in ID during export and most of the rest is only available in the PDF optimzer. If you don't have Acrobat Pro, try the Smallest File Size preset in ID.
Keep in mind that there is ALWAYS a tradeoff between file size and image quality. You are shooting for a middle ground.

  • Re-coloring Imported Objects

    Hi Folks,
We're using INDD CS3 on Windows XP Professional.
I have a project from a customer in which he has given us grayscale TIF images. He started the project in Quark. We're converting it to INDD CS3 for him.
When the images are imported to Quark, when a color is applied the black/gray elements of the page are re-colorized (and the white part stays white).
When the images are imported to INDD, when a color is applied the white and gray elements of the page are re-colorized (and the black part stays black).
These images are page backgrounds with black designs along the edges and white (or light gray) designs in the center. I've tried inverting the image and pulling it into INDD, but obviously I have black center then, which is worse than the colored center.
Is there a way to accomplish in INDD what Quark is doing for the customer? If not, any ideas for a workaround?
    Thx,
    Sandy

Sounds like the frames are filled with color. Select the object with
selection tool (black arrow) and make sure the frame is set to no fill.
Then select the image with the direct select tool (white arrow) and do
    the same.
Deselect everything and then grab the color you want from the swatch
panel and drag it onto the graphic.

  • Change color of object

I have a image I am editing in photoshop CS, I want to replace the black color of an object with blue, I've done this in the past but for some reason the Contrast/brightness tool is not working, I can change the brightness but the object is just staying black. I tried using the magic wand and selecting the object and then fillinf it but that leaves uneven edges.

Have you tried enabling the tint checkbox? That can be used to add color. (if necessary you can use a selection to create the mask for the hue/saturation/luminance adjustment layer).
Another solution is to create a selection for the black area, then with a new layer add a mask to it and fill that layer with a color (not necessarily in that order) then you can use a blend mode or opacity to allow any texture to show through if there is any.

  • Signal mapping colors all objects

I am using the Signal Mapping express VI and I find that if I add objects to the resuling scene they all recieve the same color as the original object. Is there a way that I can change this? Screenshot attached

Yeah the Sensor Mapping Express VI is the one I am working with. Any additional objects I add to the scene are taking on the color from this VI. I am basically trying to create a quiver plot with a mesh imposed on it, where the mesh has the magnitude mapped to it.
I just managed to get it to work the way I wanted, although it may be worth an explaination for why I did not get what I was expecting the first way I implemented if someone else has a question that is similar.
Originally I fed the Scene Ref Out from the Sensor Mapping Express VI to a for loop where I called an invoke node to add an object (a combined cylander and cone as an arrow).
To fix this, I created a new object, added all of the arrows first though the for loop, then added the Scene Ref Out from the Sensor Mapping VI using the same sort of invoke node. The result, and my desired output is attached.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Reverse stroke color across object

I have an elliptical object filled with a dark color. I want to draw a line across the object and out the other side. I'd like the stroke to be black on either side of the object but white across the object Is there a way to isolate the part of the stroke passing across the object?

Here are a couple of links that may help:

  • Best way to isolate and change color of object

I have a client that wants hundreds of product photos edited in 8 weeks. The color of the product item needs to be changed for each of the color choices available. The product is shown in a full room display, meaning lots of background imagery and color.
What's the best (quickest and most accurate) way to select the product? What's the best way to change it to the accurate color?

Selective color, color range, replace color, convert to LAB, use channels...all methods work. But in the production of "hundreds" of images, you have to outline objects and set up the color shift through adjustment layers. Then it's actionable and not pure drudgery!

  • Color in object only

Is there a way to have color in an object and the rest black and white with out using Photoshop and without using the hue and luminance setting?

Is there a way to have color in an object and the rest black and white
with out using Photoshop and without using the hue and luminance setting?
Yes, just set the brush to 100% desaturate and brush over the area you want
    to be black and white.

  • CS5 Photoshop - changing color of object

    Hello
How do you change the colors of these chairs to green? I tried to do image>adjustments>replace color but it isn't very clean. It shows the red still.
Do you create a mask with an alpha channel? If so, how again?
    Thanks in advance.

To isolate the red chairs you could do   Select > color range   and the sample the red of the chair (shift click to add more range of red to the selection, use a low to medium fuziness value).
Add a hue adjustment layer and adjust to to get the green you would like.
finally you will probabaly need to fine tune the mask of the adjustment layer by painting black on it on areas which you do not want changed - you should get something like this.
