Colors are overlapping when drawing with a tablet...

I apologize for the bad headline.
My problem is easy. When coloring something with my tablet, the colors are overlapping as hell but ONLY when I release the pen and then color again, over it.
The problem with that is, that I cannot go back once the pen is released and get a even~ish color. It is almost like I get the multiply-effect even though neither the layer nor the pen is set to that option.
Maybe these pictrues can explain it better:
http://i54.tinypic.com/sbroqw.jpg
This picture shows the overlapping. It is way to dark, and it doesn't get this dark when I go back and the pen was not released. Only, when I release the pen and then go back. It doesn't get this dark, at all, in other programs like Paintool Sai and more.
Here is a picture of my settings.

I really need this solved. Come with everything, I'd greatfull!

My advice would be to learn a little more about Illustrator. Once you do, the tablet will work more like you're expecting. For instance, I would look up in the Help files or in a book how the brush and pencil tools function. Different settings in different places will spare you the surprise of ever-changing lines as you draw them. You'll probably also want to know how to draw open and closed paths if you hope to fill your drawings with color.
On the other hand, drawing on paper is a treat that you'll not really be able to replicate on computer. Even with a tablet. Doesn't feel the same, doesn't sound the same, doesn't smell the same. Doesn't even look the same.

  • HP Photosmart 7200 Colors are Wrong When Printing on Photo Paper

I'm running Windows 7 and am having a problem when printing on photo paper.  The colors are off; mainly green.  The colors are fine when printing on plain paper.  I have tried printing from my computer as well as straight from the media card.  Same result.  I am also using HP Photo Premium glossy paper.  Print cartridges are brand new and are loaded correctly.
Any solutions or troubleshooting tips I can try?

  • Colors are gone when running report jsp

    Hi guys,
Could you send me to some reference to understand why colors are gone when I run a report that was called from a Form in web environment?.
Colors of letters are still ok, but the frames that were coloured in Design time does not appear in color anymore.
    Rgds.
    TIA.

If you are using a template for report and want the same template in web report then you have to make sure that all your image files and .css files relating to that template are there in your web directory. e.g.
    ../images/image_file.gif
    ../css/css_file.css
otherwise it'll show you blank frames in web page.

  • Flash CS4 forcibly limits useable screen area when working with a tablet

How do I fix it? I've tried re-installing flash, re-installing my wacom  driver, restarting my computer, and changing my settings. Nothing seems  to work, and it's only when I open up a file, when I have the file  selection menu open I have free reign of the screen, however the moment I  open up a file I'm limited to this.
I'm running Windows 7 home premium if that helps any.
(I accidentally posted this in the flash player forum and was told to move it here. I apologize for any discrepencies regarding the reposting of topics)

  • When drawing with polygon tool, a solid black rectangle appears??

When I use the polygon tool to draw, a mysterious black rectangle appears underneath, and grows with my cursor movement, obscurring whatever is underneath. The black shape has nothing to do with the shape I'm creating. I am tracing boundary locations on a map, for example, and the black shape blocks out the lines I'm trying to trace, if my opacity is set at 100%.  It mimics the opacity I'm using to draw.  I never saw this in AA7.  Why would anyone want this function, and is there a way to turn it off?

    Hey leonieDF
Thanks for your reply. I am exporting edited versions - export seems to work OK when exporting originals. But all my images are edited a bit, even if just simple cropping etc.
I tried adjusting the color sync profile as you suggested but this didn't help. I also adjusted the gamma and watermark and again, no change.
It seems like I have some kind of bug or something within Aperture, because it is doing all kind of strange things, like now eny time I edit a photo at all it appears solid black in my "browse" view (but OK when I double click it). Similarly, when I duplicate a photo it does random funky stuff to the photo in browse view (from being solid black, to solid red, to appeairng to have some random color filter, to appearing like static from static TV). These issues are all secondary though from the main issue of not being able to export images, since I have a friends wedding photos I am trying to get out to them!
Any other ideas of what might be causing this?
    Thanks for your help!

  • IWeb and .Mac images are dark when viewed with PCs--how to fix?

I do my Photo editing in iPhoto on an iMac or an iBook, and the images look fine. Once posted to a .Mac or iWeb page, they still look fine on my Mac monitors, but when viewed on PCs and PC laptops, they are MUCH darker... The sites look terrible. The brightness on the nonMac monitors is turned up already.
Is there something special I should do to get images to appear correctly on nonMac machines?

Thanks for the responses. This has been a problem for a couple of years and this is real advice! I even had this problem with a book published through Apple. Anyway...
I didn't follow Barbara advice (OK, I'm slow, but I couldn't quite figure out where the gamma setting was), but I did use Falcon01's suggestion to use the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile.
I then reviewed and re-edited the relevant pictures. In this case, they are pictures of my girlfriend's condo she is trying to rent (mostly slightly off-white walls (aren't they all?) and dark, rich parquet flooring.) First, the pictures were darker, and I could adjust the exposure to much brighter, which helped a great deal. It did, however, introduce lots of color artifacts (pinkish blotchy walls). I drastically reduced the saturation which (good) made the walls look fairly normal, but (bad) made the rich wood flooring look drab and grayish. For this purpose, this will be satifactory--the pictures now at least are bright enough to not look dark and dank, and people can see what the rooms look like.
When I try this on important pictures of people and such, this approach makes me nervous. Most pictures will look awful if I boost expsoure and drain the color out. How do others handle this? Thanks in advance. BTW, here is the revised web site if interested.

  • Image clipped/cropped when drawing with a BufferedImageOp to printer?

    Hey guys,
I have a method that draws a BufferedImage to the provided Graphics object. The image has an associaced AffineTransform, and so the image is drawn by creating an AffineTransformOp from that AffineTransform and then using drawImage(BufferedImage, BufferedImageOp, int, int).
This method works correctly when I use it to paint the image to the Graphics object of a JComponent - the image is painted to the screen correctly. If I use this method to paint the image to the Graphics object provided by a PrintJob, however, the image is clipped/cropped to its original size. The image is still rotated/scaled correctly as specified by the AffineTransform, but only the parts of the image remaining inside the original image's boundary are painted.
I assume this has something to do with the fact that the printer's Graphics object has some transforms attached to it already, but I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. If anybody has a suggestion I'd be glad to hear it.
    Thanks,
    Nic

The clipState is 0 and the clipRegion is the size of the page being printed both before and after the drawImage() call. The Graphic's clipping isn't the problem, I guess. I have no idea what else it could be, though.

  • Color correction/effects when working with long clips

    Hi,
    First time poster!
I'm a beginner with Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5. I'm using it right now to do some color correction on badly produced DVD's in my film collection! I was wondering if it is possible when doing color correction effects on a clip if you can apply different effects to different parts of a clip. For example - At the beginning of a clip, the scene is really bright, but, some 30 minutes later, the clip is really dark. Is it possible to darken the beginning and lighten the ending? How would you folks deal with a situation like this? Would you edit the film down to smaller parts? If so, how would you go about that?
    Thanks for the help!
    Howard

    Howard,
    Welcome to the forum.
Along with Jon-M-Spear's suggestion (the one that I use most often too), many Effects can be Keyframed, so that they change over time. However, this does take some time, and can involve a lot of fiddling.
If you have a long Clip, and know that you will be adding the same set of Effects, but just with different attributes, you can do one of two things, and both rely on Jon-M's method:
You can create an Effect Preset, and apply that to all of your Cut, let's call them "sub-Clips," even though that term has other meanings, so be careful when using it. Then apply that Preset to all of those sub-Clips. Then, tweak each application of the Preset, as is needed for the individual sub-Clip.
In a similar fashion, you can apply all necessary Effects to the first of your sub-Clips, tweak for it, as is necessary, then Rt-Click on it, chosing Copy. Now, Select all of the rest of the sub-Clips, to which you wish to apply that set of Effects, Rt-Click on them, choosing Paste Attributes, and then tweak, as needed.
A variation on the above would be to apply the Effects to the origianal Clip, and THEN make the Cuts. Go back and tweak each individual sub-Clip.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Database fileds are not coming when connecting with ado and they are coming when connecting with odbc

Hi , I am using crystal report XI R2 in visual studio 2005 . Backend is sql server 2000. I have made a connection with odbc connectivity and using dsn. I am using a stored procedure as datasource of report. It is working fine all the database fields are available. Now when i try to connect with the ado connection having same stored procedure as datasource of report , I am not getting data fields. I dont know where is the problem in my stored procedure or in report. But when i connect through system dsn using odbc connectivity everything is working fine. A MAP filed dialogue box appears when i try to change the datasource location to ado from odbc.

There is a barely acknowledged issue. For Mac users Apple has released an update to the app, but for iOS users the recommendation is for users to update their ipad to the most recent operating system.
There may be a fix coming for iOS6 users (which seem to be many of those having problems) or there may not be. If your ipad isn't up to date then you can update it and see if that helps, or if you don't want to update then you may want to wait and see if there is either a fix or if it fixes itself.

  • Best Adobe CC program for drawing with a tablet (not an iPad) - a wacom tablet, that is connected to a lap top.

I've got access to Adobe CC and have a Wacom tablet that I would like to start using more. I understand, there is Adobe Line, for iPad use, which will not work- I don't have an iPad. It seems PhotoShop and Illustrator are my best options but they don't seem to have the features that other software offers such as Corel... Is there an Adobe CC option that I am not seeing?

    What features?
A wacom tablet works fine with Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Midi and audio regions overlap when recording with autodrop

Say you are playing a melody for notation purposes with midi. You record 2 bars. Region is 2 bars long. You learn the next 2 bars and notice that this phrase actually starts at bar 2 beat 4. So you set autodrop to bar 2 beat 4 and punch in. The new region begins at bar 2 beat 1. If you adjust the region start point you see the end of the first region hiding behind it. In the score window, before trimming that new regions start point, you see rests for the new region and notes from the first region together..really lame. If you trim the new regions start point to bar 2 beat 4 it looks right. This is in replace mode mind you.... Why doesn't the punch appear at the autodrop location instead of at the beginning of the bar. I don't remember logic working like this before, did it? Seems like it was doing the same thing with audio, had regions hiding all over the place behind punches...very confusing. I saw a similar post but it didn't seem to resolve this issue...Is it a bug? Mike Peters
    Macbook---G4 800   Mac OS X (10.4.2)   Logic 7.2.3

A few things (and there aren't many) regarding capture recording... For me it's been a tried-and-true feature of Logic for a very long time and continues to work flawlessly.
How Capture Works (and some operational notes)
Logic continually captures any and all MIDI data from the time you hit PLAY to the time you hit STOP, even if you're not "in record". Notes, program changes, controllers, sysex, anything MIDI will get buffered as you play and are ready to be turned into a region once you hit your Capture k/c. You can play to picture, improvise, whatever, for a very long time and never worry about Logic losing any of what you played.
The KEY is that after you hit STOP, you must hit your Capture k/c before hitting PLAY again, because once you hit PLAY, the MIDI buffer is, out of necessity, be cleared.
However, you don't need to STOP Logic to use Capture. You can play along with a track and hit Capture at any time. Logic will create a MIDI region from what you played and continue capturing additional MIDI data from your real-time performance while Logic continues to run. So you can start Logic, play some stuff, capture, play some stuff, capture, all without hitting STOP. In this scenario, just remember that if you hit STOP at any point that you will need to hit Capture that last bit of your performance (if you hadn't done so already) before hitting PLAY again.
One other operational note that's really important...
CYCLE MODE: If Logic is set to cycle and the cycle wraps to the L-locator before you've captured your performance, you will lose what's in the MIDI buffer. Jumping back to the L-locator in cycle mode is the equivalent of hitting STOP and then hitting PLAY. This is probably the single most important thing to watch out for. I've lost a few good "noodlings" because I had my L-locator set too close.
Hope this helps. I'd be curious to learn of your Capture experiences and see what you guys think!

  • InvokeEvent arguments are empty when invoked with ACTION_SEND

I have a Photo Editing App which I'd like to show up in the "Share" menu when users are browsing their Photo Galleries.
This requires registering for the ACTION_SEND intent, once registered the user can select my App from the Gallery, however, when a user pick an image, the InvokeEvent I receive within the App is empty, giving me no reference to the file, or valid url.
There's a detailed bug here, but it's marked as Need More Info:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3569955
Do you still need more info? I'm happy to provide whatever is needed to make this fix happen.

Ok, an attached project is here:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/g2ia93anslpuume/AndroidInvokeTest.zip
The project registers itself to handle images, and log the contents of any InvokeEvent's to the stage.
    1. Import project, and install App onto device.
    2. Open Android Image gallery, choose a random image, and hit the share icon (http://cl.ly/image/13353b0V2Y2I)
    3. Select "AndroidInvokeTest" from the list of applications. Android will switch to the AndroidInvokeTest app.
    4. Observe, as the app recieves an InvokeEvent, containing no useful information regarding the selected Image. (http://cl.ly/image/0r2W461l1C0o)

  • When drawing with the shape tool in Flash how can I vary the stroke width?

I created an oval shape and I'd like to vary the stroke width so it's not all just one uniform thickness. However in the Properties window I can only find the uniform stroke width and style options (solid, dotted, hashed, etc...). How can I add some tapering?
    Thank you for your help.

You probably need to convert the line to a fill and then change the shape of it. .. Modify -> Shape -> Convert Lines to Fills
