Colors messed up

Hi all,
I have a problem that is giving me headaches, everytime I put
ASP comments using ( ' ) all colors mess up and I that causes me
confusion when programming, because it does not let me distinguish
beetween commented code and the rest.
I have tried playing with the code colors option but I
haven't had good luck
thank you for any help
Jean Pierre

Jean,
It sounds like DW thinks you're using JavaScript, not
VBScript. ' is a
string delimiter in JavaScript.
Does your page have this as the first line:
<%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"%>

  • Screen hungs with color mess.

    Hello.
    I had issue with mac macbook pro mid 2010.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/21177190#21177190
    Then i took it to the Apple Authorized Service Provider, they help it for almost 2 months then gave it me back.
    It is my working computer, and i work with 2 displays.
    Everything was fine i used it with external display for about 6 months, no issues.
    But after we moved to another office, i had to use it without additional display and strange things start to happen.
    The screen started to freeze randomly with colors and pictures messed. I am attaching screenshot how it looks like.
    But when i plug external screen and use both (macbooks integrated + external) - no issues, everuthing works just fine, unplug, and it happens again. Must be something with video card again i suppose.
    I called to Service back they said it is too late to fix this for free. 6 months passed.
    But this issue never happened before first repair in service, macbook used to restart. Now the screen hangs...
    I though reinstalling os would help. Erased hdd, and installed new Maveric, no luck. Just the same.
    What should i do?

    I noticed that pictures with display anomalies are not diplaying...
    One more try to upload it.

  • Print colors messed up since upgrading to Mavericks

    I upgraded to Mavericks and now every picture I print is horrible. The colors are way off. Where eyes are there are grey blotches. It is a mess. Can anyone help me? My printer is an HP Color Laserjet 3800dn. HP says I should just buy a new printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    HA... I figured out how to fix it!  Thanks anyways   It was really quite easy and just a few clicks.  Not sure how it all happened but it is all good now!

  • Colors messing up

    My screen colors were a little off like blue tint, and some pics were like purple and green. So I calibrated it, and it fixed it perfectly fine. But everytime it goes to sleep, it reverts back to the messed up colors and I have to recalibrate it. Even my saved calibration screws up. Do you think it may just be the monitor, it is a little old and offbrand......well ****, in the middle of typing this the colors fixed themselves.......I'm sure it will do it again though. Any ideas????
    ?   Mac OS X (10.1.x)

    ok the screen was a bad connection. but when I put photos in Iphoto they still mess up. some pics online mess up too, not all though. anyone else with this problem?

  • Colors messed up since Maverick install

    Since installing Mavericks yesterday my colours on my Macbook Pro are all messed up in that they are dark, way too warm and generally displeasing to the eye.  Previously my colours were right on, even when I print photos at a reputal lab.  Since I am working in photoshop editing portraits the colour is crucial.  How do I get it back to my previous display colours?

    Hi ambersin,
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article explains how to calibrate your display's colors and may help:

  • Display color messed jo

    My IPad 2 display colors are all messed up and it has lines like static. Have anyone had this problem before and had it resolved.  Thank you.

    Have you tried rebooting your iPad?
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Please help. Colors messed up on a new Vaio running Photoshop, Powerpoint on Vista.

    I have some problems with a newly purchased Sony Vaio with double lamp technology (FZ-31Z) running Vista and office 2007. Nice machine, but with huge color problems. Hope someone can help.
    1) When I copy a picture from Photoshop CS3 into powerpoint, I loose vibrance and saturation.
    2) When I watch a presentation made in powerpoint on this computer on another one, it looks grainy and dark!
    3) When I import a presentation or picture made on another computer, it looks very bright, but also very red!! Saturation is way up on the reds.
    4) When i make a greyscale and look at it on the monitor - it actually carries tones of brownish in the midtones.
    What is wrong with my basic factory installed colors? How can I solve this? Please advise as this is running me nuts...

    Thanks for you input!
    I've invested in a calibration tool (Spyder3 Elite system) and the difference before and after calibration was huge. The grays that showed up more as brown/green turned actually grey. I never thought that factory settings could be so poor - on a machine as expensive as this ;) but I've bumped Sony on that issue.
    Furthermore, I beleived that color managing existed for Poperpoint, but you learn something new every day.
    I work with NEF so dumping in jpeg or copy/paste is fine. I like my NEFs for that purpose.
    About the vector / grainy / dark bit, I'm not sure yet. The greys have turned grey, and when I use a dark background of for instance gray in PP, it is now properly displayed as dark gray and not lighter brown.
    Another thing is that I've overcompensated the pictures in PS to make them look better in PP - so changing to sRGB display solved the problem.
    But I don't know the effect from running a laptop with dual-lamp display - it is very crisp and clear and well - lit. I've tried different calibrations with different brightness level - but they report the same. I'm afraid my presentations might still be too dark on a projector with poor light. But I guess I'll have to experiment on that...
    Thanks again for your suggestions!

  • Apple TV Color Messed Up

    The past few days, something really strange has been going on with the colors on our Apple TV.  I've tried updating the software, resetting it, unplugging cords etc.
    Photo attached.
    Any ideas?

    You could try to go for a full restore. Any other TV to test this on? worse comes to worse you can have a genius do a diagnostic on it.
    I know there is a colour option in settings somewhere, by default it should be on auto. You could try playing with it for a bit to see if anything changes.

  • HELP!  Color messed up with bits/channel.  Desperate!!!

    I accidentally had my files marked at 16 bits/channel, went ahead and saved them as jpegs.  Got a software prompt prior to saving that said "File must be saved as a copy with this selection."  I did not know what it meant.  I went ahead with the save.  Now I am realizing my mistake because I have tried printing my images at a lab and the colors are WAY off.  Very gray and horrible.  I have my master files saved as psd files as well (thankfully) and have opened those, changed the bits/channel to 8, tried to print and the colors are still awful.  Would someone please help me?  I'm in tears over here with the stress of not being able to figure this out.  I have many files that were saved this way.  There has to be some kind of a fix without me having to re-edit dozens and dozens of photos.
    Thank you so much all of you Photoshop Gurus!

  • My iPod Vid sometimes freezes and the screen flips out (colors messed up!)

    My iPod often freezes and I have to reset it often, whats wrong?? And is it bad for my ipod to restart often?

    See this: Restoring the 5th generation iPod (iPod with video).
    That may help. No a reset won't harm your iPod but if it needs to be done frequently that may be a sign of other issues.

  • Using search pages (i.e. Google) how can I get a different color on a link (website) that I have previously visited? It used to work that way, but now every link is the same color.

    I use Firefox 4.0.1 & Windows 7 Home Premium Edition. In the Options/Contents/Color setting I have the "Allow Pages To Use Their Own Colors" box checked. I tried checking "Use System Colors" with 2 different colors selected for Unvisited Links & Visited Links, but it does not work, & in addition, the Use System Colors messes up my normal view(s). I just want to be able to differentiate between Visited & Unvisited Links. Thank you.

  • Color profile script

    Is it possible to create a script that goes through a folder, and changes every .png file to use sRGB as color profile?
    Edit:
    To further describe my problem- I use a application that decrypt apples .png files so that they can be read in photoshop. But for some reason this script flips the blue and red channels too, making the colors messed up when i save a file.
    So basically, i need a script that opens every png file, and converts their color profile from sBGR to sRGB and then saves them.
    I already have a script that can convert PSD's to PNG's, but it does not edit the color profile, so if it could be edited to do that (And possibly also edit .png files) that would be awesome. the script:
    #target photoshop
    var imageFolder = Folder.selectDialog("Select top folder to process");
    var folderList=[];
    if (imageFolder != null)  {
    processFolder(imageFolder);
    folderList.unshift(imageFolder);
    createPNGfromPDF(folderList);
    function createPNGfromPDF(folderList){
    for(var a in folderList){
      var fileList = folderList[a].getFiles ("*.psd");
       for (var z in fileList){
        var file = fileList[z];
        open(file);
        var Name = fileList[z].name.replace(/\.[^\.]+$/, '');
        var saveFile = File(decodeURI(fileList[z].path+"/"+Name+".png"));
        SavePNG(saveFile);
        app.activeDocument.close(SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);
    function processFolder(folder) {
        var fileList = folder.getFiles()
         for (var i = 0; i < fileList.length; i++) {
            var file = fileList[i];
    if (file instanceof Folder) {
      folderList.push(file);
           processFolder(file);
    function SavePNG(saveFile){
        pngSaveOptions = new PNGSaveOptions();
        pngSaveOptions.embedColorProfile = true;
        pngSaveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;
        pngSaveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;
        pngSaveOptions.quality = 1;
    pngSaveOptions.PNG8 = false;
        pngSaveOptions.transparency = true;
    activeDocument.saveAs(saveFile, pngSaveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE);

    convertProfile (destinationProfile, intent [, blackPointCompensation] [, dither])
    That is the javascript syntax of the line you would need to add to your script. The square bracketed parameters are optional the other are required. You need to supply the color profile and intent prams.  If you want to use scripting you need to learn a bit about programming in a scripting language javascript is the best choice for there a version for both the MAC and PC Windows platforms.  There are many script you can download and HACK on then.  Without some knowledge you will not be able to hack. If your do not have the time to read and gain the required khowledge you may want to look into Photoshop  Actions they are much easier to record and edit. It would be very easy to record an action to convert an image to the sRGB color space. The action could then be batched. The file>Automat>Batch... Will open a dialog thtat you use to point to your png folder the action set and action and thers is an option to save and close  them.
    A one step action can do what you want. Record ment Edit>Convert to Profile.  In the Convert to Profile dialod use the destination space  pull-down meny and choose sRGB then click OK.  When you play the action no dialog will be displayed the document will just ne converted to the sRGB color space. Batch that Action.
    If you know nothing about actions either my crafting actions package may be of some help.

  • I have a Imac 8,1 That wont boot.

    I have a Imac 8,1 that wont boot.
    3.06Ghz, Nvidia 8800
    I believe i have 2 problems.
    First this is what ive already done:
    I ran an extensive hardware test, no problem
    In disk utility I erased my harddrive and clean installed Mavericks,
    Verified and repaired disk, no problems
    Verified and repaired permissions, no problems
    Disk boots up fine when running on MacBookPro through Firewire
    Zapped PRAM/NVRAM plenty
    After upgrade I can no longer boot into safe mode, Stalls after 25%
    Can no longer use CMD-R
    Can no longer use Apple Hardware Test
    Doesnt seem like I can update firmware from disk by holding down the power button. not sure im using the right disk either.
    These problems probably stem from running complex graphics on a windows 7 partitions I used to have.
         First off I think my GPU is out. I get Thick Green lines down the screen that are not from screen damage straight from startup.
    After Chime the apple logo pops up and loads but after a while the wheel stops and the computer will reboot moments after. Im hoping this is a Firmware problem and I dont have to replace my GPU. My computer has booted up with the lines before and I dont think its the cause for not booting but im no professional. Before I updated to Mavericks This Problem already existed. Can a failing GPU cause boots to fail?
         During hardware test the green lines would go away and I would have a clean screen.
    I loaded Mavericks from a USB drive from there onto the newly erased harddrive (32 Write erase). Everything was going great until I got close to the end of the loading bar for the setup and it froze. The colors on my screen displayed everything but with the colors messed up into a rainbow oval on the top half of the screen. I rebooted and suddenly I cant boot from anything. Harddrive, Install Disk, or USB
         So I plugged up my firewire and got on a MacBookPro with Mavericks and erased the disk again. Then I installed Mavericks flawlessly and it will boot from the MacBookPro but not from the Imac.
    When I boot in Verbose mode I get an error that says
    BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist:2 no such file or directory
    Then
    NVDAStartup: Official (im guessing thats my GPU)
    and a bunch of SMC:smcReadKeyAction ERRORS
    and Sandbox: authd(##) deny file-write & deny file-read errors
    Im thinking I need a new GPU but I want to be absolutely certain before I spend anything on replacing parts.
    Could this be a EFI Firmware Problem?
    like a Firmware/boot data problem from a bad ESP (I dont know what is what really).
    If all this is part of the GPU it would totally make sense to just go ahead and replace it if thats the case. But im no expert, What do you think?

    Very simple take it to an Apple Store or AASP and have it professionally diagnosed. Anything else would be guessing. Do NOT spend a penny on it until it is professionaly diagnosed otherwise you stand and excellent chance of throwing good money after bad.

  • Lastest Apple Update Causes ext. Monitor Failure

    I have reason to suspect the latest round of software updates from Apple have caused the colors on my external to not render correctly in Mirror Mode. RGB colors are mixed and scattered across the screen.
    I suspect the update because the monitor's menu system renders fine on top of the color mess and this is first time I've connected to it since updating yesterday.
    The only other possibility I can think of is the DVI port or cable is malfunctioning, but I think that's unlikely because it worked fine right before the update.
    My wire connection is the Apple supplied mini DVI to HDMI cable to Phillips 190B LCD display.
    Appreciate any opinions here
    thx

    I have the same problem, and it also began when I updated to 10.5.5
    I have also noticed that the image is fine when in extended desktop mode, it just won't mirror the desktop correctly.
