Colour of Bookmarks Bar is now a dirty looking colour between grey and purpl

First off I've numerous iPads in our household and have just purchased the air model, now I've updated all of my iPads to IOS 8.1 and they are all fin except the book marks bar on my air iPad which I can only describe as looking a dirty grey/purple. This colour covers most of the bookmarks bar but is rather jagged in looks towards the right hand side. As anyone else come across this problem?

My Macbook Pro has Maverick OS, but it was wiped clean at the Genius Bar. Now I do not have Bon Jour and I can't reinstall my Epson XP 410 printer without Bon Jour?

Can't get my printer to appear on the Add Printer List - it is greyed out. Says to use Bon Jour, but it was deleted. Lost all my apps when Genius Bar wiped my Mac, but now they say they do not deal with third party apps.

Thanks.. I had Bon Jour on the Maverick that they wiped out, and it was in my Sidebar. Now I can't find it on the new install. I have looked in Applications, Utilities and in the System. When I Search, it is not found. I have the printer drivers for my Epson 410 installed, but it asks that Bon Jour be used to find and add the printer. It is very frustrating. I will go back to my last update on Passport and see if I can find it. As I am sure you can tell, I am not very experienced with this. But I appreciate your response!

I have the syncing option unchecked, that is why I do not understand why it is trying to sync.
I am also trying to play songs off my iPod via iTunes.
I also don't understand why I need to have the same songs on my PC if they are on the Shuffle. My songs are on my external hard drive... which I don't always have turned on, or with me for that matter. I certainly don't want to be hauling a hard drive around with me wherever I travel to. I want to be able to copy a small number of my favourite songs onto the Shuffle so I can carry the Shuffle and the laptop around with me and listen to them.

Google bookmark bar was still available this afternoon on firefox, and now it's gone

Earlier today (Aug. 21, 2014) my google bookmarks were still on the bookmark bar. Now, they are gone. I tried importing them again, but now they are put in a folder called "From google chrome" on the bookmark bar. I want them back the way they were. I even tried reinstalling Firefox, but nothing changed. Grrrrrrrr

You can open the bookmarks sidebar or the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Show All Bookmarks) and copy and paste them to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.

TS4001 iCloud Syncs my Desktop Bookmark Bar items to my iOS Bookmark Menu, folders only

I have all of my bookmarks in Safari on my desktop (OS X 10.7.5) via the Bookmark BAR - I have them organized in folders for ease, and I like it that way.
When I use iCloud to sync Bookmarks to my iOS devices (iPad Retina and iPod Touch, latest iOS), the result is that I end up with a series of bookmark folders in the "Bookmark Menu (not the Bookmark Bar) that duplicates bookmarks and folders that I have on my iMac desktop in the Bookmark Bar.
Problem 1. I don't want them in the Bookmark Menu on my iOS devices, I want them in the Bookmark Bar so I can use them from the bar.
Problem 2. Even if I wanted to use what ends up on my iOS devices, I can't because none of the bookmarks in the folders are there, only a series of folders. The only actual bookmarks that are on my iOS devices are those that are not in folders - and again, those few are in the Bookmark Menu, not the Bookmark Bar.
Can anyone help with this?

So what you are saying is that if I save a url on my desktop Mac as a Boomark Bar item, it SHOULd sync to the Bookmark Bar on my iOS devices? That was the issue I was complaining about. It was not. Please confirm that because I am only assuming that from your last paragraph above.
As for the whole duplicate thing, from my searching the forums today I realize that is a common "issue" people are complaining about - that their bookmark bar items are also showing in the bookmark menu. I think that is what you were referring to.
So I did try your set of steps in your last paragraph above and they did not work. In fact, nothing seemed to sync except the test Boomark Bar folder addition I made on my iPad which synced to my iPod touch. Other than that, nothing else synced from my Desktop - neither in my Bookmark Bar or my Boomark Menu.
Posbily related - Unforntunately, becasue I was having this problem earlier and also had noticed the whole issue with the fact I had all of the same folders on my Desktop Bookmark Menu as I had in my Desktop Bar - I tried to solve that issue by deleting all of the items under my Bookmark Menu, and now I do not have anything in that folder except:
Recent Tags
Recently Bookmarked
Get Bookmark Add-ons
Feeds (folder with items in it)
Unsorted Bookmarks (folder empty)
Is that part of my problem now?

Sounds like you may be syncing your iPhone with a mac running Safari. You need to go to Safari on your mac, open Preferences, go to the Bookmarks tab and uncheck "Include bookmarks bar". Now if you resync your phone with iTunes it should remove this from your phone.

Safari 5.1.4 renaming "Bookmarks Bar" to "BookmarksBar", causing the bookmarks bar to disappear

After I upgraded to Safari.5.1.4, I noticed that my bookmarks bar was completely gone. I went into Show All Bookmarks, and I noticed under the BOOKMARKS heading on the left, there was a folder called "BookmarksBar" (without the space between Bookmarks and Bar). Thinking I did something wrong, I used drag and drop to move all the folders from "BookmarksBar" to "Bookmarks Bar". Once I did this, the bookmarks bar appeared correctly.
However, after shutting down Safari and restarting, the bookmarks bar was gone again! I did a Show All Bookmarks, and the "Bookmarks Bar" folder was again renamed "BookmarksBar". It seems now that I can't maintain my bookmarks bar between Safari sessions.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

The problem is when you start multiple threads for the same issues, we have to go back and check each thread to see what troubleshooting that's been tried that hasn't worked for you. That is time consuming not just for us but for you as well.
In case you aren't aware, we are volunteerrs. This is a user to user forum. You are not addressing Apple employees here.

I have lost the option to add to bookmarks bar. I tried going to safari settings and selecting show bookmarks bar but that is not an option any longer and it only gives show favourites bar. I've only had my iPad for a few months and it's my first apple computer. Likely user error and any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well I feel silly. You were right. And didn't help that my titles for some were too long. Once I got rid of some the newer ones I'd tried to add popped up. Thank you!

Can't sync icons from Smart bookmarks bar to Smartest Bookmarks Bar.

I'm using Win 7 & FF4. I had synced all the data from my Vista computer to 7 & it worked fine before I switched to FF4. I only switched to FF4 was because it said you had to have FF4 to be able to sync. My reason for using FF is the Smart Bookmarks Bar (which I love) but it is not available on FF4 so I chose the Smartest Bookmark Bar. But after I synced- it came up with all blanks in the boxes that normally have the icons for each bookmark. If I go back to FF3.6 can I still get the Smart Bookmarks Bar & be able to sync all my data between computers? If not, is there a compatibility issue between the 2 bookmarks bars that the icons won't transfer between them? Please help me get my bookmark icons back? I'm a newbie comp. user & don't understand the jargon. Thanks so much for all your help.

Both extensions seem to use the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar and only show the icons on that toolbar (hide the labels).

Timno, using LookAndFeel will make the colour of title bar dynamic, i will have different colour for different OS.
i want to set a specific colour for title bar in top level container component (JFrame or JDialog), then it will be the colour for every OS and the colour will not change even user set different colour scheme.

V 31. installed would not connect to internet, restored to 30, now the pinned tabs due not persist between starting and closing FF.

Installed version 31.0 from version 30.0. It would not display any web pages, e.g. google, had a message about not being able to connect. Did a Windows system restore point to version 30 (I had created a restore point before the install) . FF will now not save pinned tabs between sessions and it will not restore the last page from a previous session. All it will display is the Default FF page.
Can someone give me some idea's about how to fix this. I tried reinstalling version 30 but that did not work to fix the problem.

First, thanks for everyone responding. Here is what the problem was....
For some reason, there is a profile under Local in Mozilla and another profile under Roam. The Roam profile was the one that was being pointed to from the Troubleshooting tab under help. The local profile only had some partial files not including sessionstore.js. I copied all the files from the Roam profile to the Local profile. This restored the pinned tabs but not the open tabs from the previous session. I then updated Roam and Local profiles with the last sessionstore I could find in the Roam directory.... for some crazy reason this restored everything. Updating to FF v 31 was what initially caused this.
I did create a restore point before the update, which would not connect any tabs to the internet (e.g. Google). I then restored from the restore point, and ended up with the damaged FF v30 installation, which would connect to the internet but would not pin tabs and remember them or display the last page I had visited as a start page....
So, I hope someone gets a chance to look at FF v31, and why there is a Roam and Local directory with profiles in them ?

the main reason i used firefox was the tabs were where i like them now theyre up top like google chrome and i hate it, please make it an option to put them back below my bookmarks and site bar thingy.

The older version would let me drag the icon bookmark to the tool bar but now I have to make a whole new toolbar just to add the one bookmark i loose too much page room this way. Is there a way to do it like the old version?

Removing the favicons, changing the titles to 1-4 characters without spaces, and putting some or most into folders still readily accessible from the bookmarks toolbar
would help a lot. Also changing the size of the bookmarks toolbar text and color with a Style to differentiate between folders and bookmark/bookmarklets would help, see
