Coloured line at the edge of prints

When i print images, i get a coloured line along one or more of the edges. I can only see this when i print the image smaller than the page size (to leave a white border as in the framed preset). Border size is set to 0. The colour of the lines vary, but they are mostly yellow or green, and mainly only at the white edges of the image.
Further than this, the print presets don't save properly and deletes are not persistant after restart.
Aperture 3.0.1, SL 10.6.2, fully updated

I get this as well on my Epson 4880 printer and only with Aperture. I've used two macs and have the same thing on both. A (mainly) black line where any white meets the edge of the image.
Printing the image via another program doesn't have this issue so it's got to be aperture.
Can we get a fix please.

  • Green lines on the edge of my video

    Hello,
    I have a problem with premiere pro cs6 every time I export my video I get weird green lines on the left and bottom sides of my video. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I'm working with different aspect ratios and frame rates in my timeline but I heard thats ok. This has been a pain since every thing is ok only the green lines on the edge of my video ruin my viewing experience. Thanks for anyone that can shine the light on this little problem I'm having.

    I'm having the same problem.
    I have been editing a single interview into four separate videos. Of those videos, only one doesn't have the green line at the bottom of the screen. I'm exporting it as:
    Format: H.264, HD 1080i 29.97 preset
    Video (changes): 480x270, target bitrate 2, max bitrate 3
    Audio (changes): bitrate 160
    Sequence was preset for HD 1080i 29.97, but I changed the frame size to 640x360. I've done this all before and never had any problems and I don't know what to do. I've tried re-editing the footage, but it still ends up with the same result. Any ideas?

  • Coloured lines through the Ipad screen

    Have Ipad 2 now have coloured lines through the screen, no crack screen,.

    Possibly a hardware problem, however, have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
    Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
    Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • How to get a coloured bar at the edge of a video

    Hi,
    I have a very funny few minutes of video of a family event that I am using for the closing moments of home movie. Unfortunately, my idiot cousin is in the background "flicking the bird to the camera" the entire time. Fortunately, she is near the edge of the screen so I have an idea how to "remove" her but I do not know how to do it.
    My idea is to to put a black (or any colour, really) bar across the edge of the screen and I can have the credits appear there.
    However, I do not know how to get a coloured bar to appear over part of a video.
    Can anybody help?
    Regards

  • Satellite P30-110: coloured lines on the screen

    Hi
    I have a big problem with my laptop. There are thin, thick, coloured lines on my screen and some of them disappears after i switch it on. My warranty is expired about 7 months ago and i was wondering if i am still entitled to extend my warranty for this laptop? Once it's been extended, if any repairing are reuqired are they gonna be free of charge again?
    Thank you for your helps

    Hi
    I have anticipated this. Its not possible to register the extended warranty if the standard warranty was expired.
    However, its not 100% sure that the LCD screen has malfunction. Maybe a fl inverter malfunctions. Such part is not very expensive.
    But to be sure about the fault, the check is needed.
    We can discuss why it happens and why after one year of usage but I think it make no sense. You know this is a high-tech technology and its always possible that something going wrong. My HDD on the desktop PC died after 5 month of usage. Its should died after such short time but it did. So you know, everything is possible and therefore its recommended to register the notebooks for a extended warranty.
    I have bought a extended warranty for my new flat screen TV. It cost a little bit more but Im on the safe side.

  • I dropped my mac book pro and the screen now has black and coloured lines in the corner. what is it and how can i fix it?

    I dropped my mac book pro and the screen has now got a black rectangle and pink and green lines down it. What is it and how do i fix it?

    Sounds like the display got damaged. Connect an external display and see if that's OK. If that's OK then the display is probably damaged. You can try reseating the LVDS connector but if that doesn't help the connections on the display body are very difficult to get to. Apple would just replace the entire display and that's what I would do as well.

  • How to to print an .indd document with a border around the edge?

    I have an Indesign document that I want to print with a slight border around the edge.
    I print this after exporting it as a PDF.  But when I choose the various combinations of 'print printer's marks' in the export settings, none of them seem to work.
    I want just a simple thin border line around the edge of the document to print.  I don't want the interior body to print (which it sometimes does).
    I know this can be done, because on some of my .indd documents it works... but I can't figure out what I did to get it to print that way.
    HELP!
    and thanks....
    jn

    Thanks... the visible guides setting change took away the purple interior rectangle.
    But it still doesn't print the border outline.
    Here in text form is a summary of the .indd file settings that does print a border correctly, as I like it to.
    The relevant paragraph under Marks and Bleed has crop marks off... and document bleed settings on.
    I wonder what I'm missing?  Sometimes I wished Adobe just used plain english... like 'print border outline of document'!
    Thanks!
    jn

  • Vertical lines as well as a chipped screen at the edge very small

    hi guys . i was wondering if my iphone 5 which has white/grey vertical line going down the screen and the pixels have some inconsistency in colour as well as a cracked screen( small thin line across the edge) would be eligible for the iphone warranty. it is not water damage .i would like you opinions if i am able to get a replacement or not.

    do you by chance know whats the cause of the line? example loose wire or dead pixels? because since the warranty is voided i was wondering if i could repair it.

  • A Prepares c700 (c742au) with Vista. graphics just coloured lines, but ok in safe mode??

    Hi
    I have a presario c700, I have just formatted the hard drive installed vista, as before, computer starts up fine it then installs update sand drivers, i then lose the graphics all I get are multi coloured line on the screen. It works fine in safe mode.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    The video card has gone bad. The issue is video memory. The card only uses video memory above the minimum when Windows is loaded and the driver installed. So you can run in safe mode or even in Windows with default drivers but only when the actual video driver is loaded does the system try to access the higher video memory and it fails. The c700 has the same issues as the ill-fated dv6000 series. Your motherboard can be repaired. If you want more help post back as there are ebay vendors who will repair the motherboard/video card for around $70 and I can find the link for you given a little time.

  • Is there any way to combine 2 seperate lines on the same account into a family plan?

    My wife and I have our phones on the same account, but the Verizon Wireless salespeople signed her up as 4 separate lines instead of a family plan. I admit she was an easy mark for the salesperson, because she went in to get two smartphones and walked out with 3 smartphones and a home voip device. I was at work and wasn't expecting her to be taken advantage of in such a way, or I would have had her wait to join when we both had the time to do it together. Now we have a smartphone collecting dust in a drawer, and a home phone that only rings when telemarketers call.
    Long story short, we are going to have to cancel two of the lines that we don't use, probably pay etf's, and all that fun stuff. If we are to keep Verizon, we will need to switch our lines from being separate services to a family plan or it just won't be worth keeping this carrier. 2gigs of data just simply isn't enough for us both, considering the family plans for 2 people that are comparably priced have 10gigs.
    Has anyone here run into a similar situation? Any help you can give in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

    How are you on the same account if they are separate lines?
    Were any of these lines on the Edge payment option?

  • How to move the ends of skewed lines to the bleed bounds

    Hi all,
    I am developing a script that trims page items to the bleed. To achieve this I collect all page items (except text frames) located partially on the pasteboard, create a temporary mask and 'crop' them with Pathfinder's Subtract feature. However this approach doesn't work with graphic lines so I am attempting to move ends of lines to the bounds of bleed box. (I'm assuming that these are simple straight lines consisting of two end points.)
    I've figured out how to deal with orthogonal lines -- it's quite easy:
    if (theItem.constructor.name == "GraphicLine" && theItem.paths.length === 1) {
         path = theItem.paths[0];
         if (path.pathPoints.length === 2) {
              ep = path.entirePath;
              w = ep[1][0]-ep[0][0];
              h = ep[1][1]-ep[0 ][1];
              if (w > h) {
                   newEp = [ [ spreadWithBleedBounds[1], ep[0][1] ], [ spreadWithBleedBounds[3], ep[1][1] ] ];
                   path.entirePath = newEp;
              else if (h > w) {
                   newEp = [ [ ep[0][0], spreadWithBleedBounds[0] ], [ ep[1][0], spreadWithBleedBounds[2] ] ];
                   path.entirePath = newEp;
    This moves A1 to A2, B1 to B2, C1 to C2, D1 to D2.
    But how to deal with skewed lines? How to calculate coordinates for points E2 and F2? Is there some magic formula? Or can anybody point me to the right direction: e.g. some book to read?
    I guess this has something to do with geometry/trigonometry, but I haven't studied this stuff at school. (I graduated an art school -- studied to draw nude models instead.)
    If someone is going to answer to my question, please do it on elementary level since I am a total noob in this.

    Kasyan

    Hi Kasyan!
    I didn't try to integrate this into your script, so you might have to adjust it a little bit. The trick is to define a function that finds the intersection point of two lines --- and, obviously, you should only call it for the lines that are sure to cross the page border! (Otherwise, it would simply extend *any* line up and over the border.)
    I think it would be wise to allow for a tiny error for lines that appear to run "up to" the page edge -- I tested a line for "x <= 0" on a line that appeared to start on 0; the control panel told me so. However, I didn't type that 0 in; I dragged the line to the edge. Apparently, it was *NOT* at precisely "0mm", but something like "0.001mm", because the script simply didn't "see" the line.
    My function comes from this page: http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/geometry/lineline2d/ and I didn't test what it does to orthogonal lines
    (but of course you could add this as an exception), and this is my line-extending script, with a little wrapper to set things up.
    The function tests *any* line against *any* other line, so if one crosses the page bounding box, I get the intersection with the bleed box on the side where it crosses the page bbox.
    line = app.selection[0];
    // pg size in "regular" [y1,x1, y2,x2] format
    pagebbox = [0,0, app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.pageHeight,app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.pageWidth ];
    bleedDist = 5; //
    bleedbbox = [ pagebbox[0] - bleedDist, pagebbox[1] - bleedDist, pagebbox[2] + bleedDist, pagebbox[3] + bleedDist ];

  • Fixing table position on the template and printing on the last page

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where i need to print a table at a fixed position and at the last page.
    if there is a single page, then the said table should print at the bottom of the page ... if there are multiple line records, the records should print on the first page and second page till it completes ... and the table at the bottom ..
    even if there is a single line record, the table should be at a fixed position.
    how can this functionality be acheived ...

    clarify one question pls....
    For eg if there is only one record then the table should be in the bottom of the first page or in the fixed position in the second page.... b'cos as you told about multiple lines of records then it obviously comes in the bottom of the end page and will not be inthe fixed position...... right!!!
    Thanks

  • Colour line on newer iPad mini comes and goes

    Hi,
    My sister has an iPad mini that has thin colour lines in the screen that come and go, but the lines do not appear in screen shots. Any ideas?

    Hello Argmire,
    As the lines do not appear in screenshots, they are caused by an issue with the iPad Mini's hardware. The webpage linked below details how to go about setting up service for the device.
