Colours turn to florescent

Colours on my toshiba  Sattelite P200D-12F turn to florescent. But when I reboot my computer colours go back to normal. I had it in repair service 2 times already. But the problem remains. Yesterday I send it back to the repair service, now the third time
Does anybody know what is this problem? I saw the same problem at my friends toshiba sattelite A series...
At the link below you have picture of the problem:

  • Mac Book Pro mid 2012 screen colours turned red and purple (similar to rainbow colour)

When I turned on my MacBook earlier, which was in sleep mode for all night, all the colours turned red and purple. The screen pixels were all a kind of red but the computer was working as usual. I turned it off and then back on and the screen was ok. Then I turned it off again for about 6 hours and now the colours are ok. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I am running on a MacBook Pro 13'' Mid 2012 (OS X Maverics) and it is the first time it's done anything like this. I read on Apple Support that maybe the CPU is failing, but when i run the System Diagnostics Test I think it turned out ok. I appreciate all answers.

  • ____Spot colour turns black when converted to process!

I have raster effect shadows coloured as a fake spot colour that I called 'shadow' which is a mix of CMYK, but if I convert that 'spot' to process, the shadows turn black without any other colour...
please tell me how to fix this!!!

I used the default blending mode for a drop shadow "multiply".
I assume the original poster is wanting to convert in order to re-purpose the art. I have not dealt specifically with the issue of a drop shadow that was built as a spot color and needed to convert it to process or visa versa but I could definitely imagine a scenario where it would be needed. I have done this countless times, just not specifically with a live drop shadow. I also see the advantage in being able to do this by editing the swatch. I think if Adobe did not intend for you to edit swatches, then once created they should be locked out from editing.
I believe when the OP stated that their spot color was a mix of CMYK it does not mean that the swatch is a process swatch, rather the display color is defined by a CMYK build.
I can accept that this is a limitation of Illustrator, but I do not accept that the answer is to not do it in the first place.
I found a work around. If you make a second swatch (call it shadow 2 for instance) and set that swatch as a global process swatch you can then merge the two swatches together with a sucessful change to the drop shadow. If you have never used merge swatches please keep in mind that the swatch you first select is the dominant swatch, so select the color you want to merge to first.

  • How to make only one colour show.

Okay so say I take some footage I just shot and I want the colour blue to ONLY show up and all the other colours turn black and white, how would I do this?
so ONLY blue will be in the footage, the other colours are black and white.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.
As stated, Leave Color Effect is exactly what you want. I'd like to put in a bit of a plug for Adobe Classroom in a Book Premiere Pro CS5, Adobe Press, out very soon, if not already on shelves where you are. The author covers this very Effect very well. Doubt that you will find a better tutorial on the Effect anywhere else.
Also, it's great reading, and a book worth every $.
    Good luck,

  • RGB swatches in CMYK document

    hi all
    here's a conondrum:
I am working on a document that I have set up in CMYK but, after placing an image from the web which must have been an RGB and using eyedropper to copy a colour from it, all the swatches and colours turned to RGB. Even the bits I created before placing the image and using eyedropper... and the colour scheme of the entire doc still is CMYK.
The document is intended for print, I therefore need to change it back somehow. How do I do that please?

Keep the document in color mode CMYK.
Open the RGB image in photoshop, and convert to CMYK.
Sample in Photoshop the color you need and write that down.
Go to Illustrator and create a swatch with the color you wrote down.
You cannot accurately sample colors from placed photos in Illustrator . Illustrator takes what is sent to the screen in RGB, and then converts that to your color mode. Do NOT use SHIFT eyedropper, though the color looks good your color will not match the CMYK values in your photo.
Illustrator will not change your cmyk document color mode colors to RGB because you sampled with eyedropper. You most likely changed the mode of the color panel to RGB. The color panel should always match the color mode of your document, the panel is misleading otherwise.

  • Imac G5/Intel, OS 10.6., system does not start up after connecting new router

After connecting the imac to a new router the system hung completely up. After each input, e.g. opening preview or a browser, the coloured turning disc appeared and nothing happened anymore. Several restarts, also in safe mode,  were unsuccessful. I could not switch to another user.  Restart is only possible at all from installation disc but thereafter problem remains the same.
    What can I do?

And, what happens if you disconnect the computer from the new router? Are you able to do this, and what happens when you try it?
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • The question I've always wanted to ask...

Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.3.0 (Production)
Why is it, when you are developing in Forms 10g, the canvas colour in my case is grey regardless of what type of canvas it is, the colour remains grey when I run the form with the builder... but when I deploy it on the web, if it is a one canvas form, the colour turns green/blue and even different if the canvas is a tabbed one?
If it is a colour palette, where can I find this and ensure that it is the same one I use in development as well as deployment?
oh and don't get me started on the pink fields it sporadically puts on old forms (6i) which have been upgraded as opposed to 10g ones that are new.

Just been informed by a colleague that the colorScheme is the same as in my directory on my PC as it is on the server.

  • Spinning Wheel Problem

I am having problems with Google search. I do not know whether this is a Google problem or a Mac problem. It started when I was creating Google documents, but this may be coincidental. Whenever I search at google.com I get a little coloured turning wheel (coloured beach ball) going around and around as if the computer is frozen. It takes quite a while before I get the desired web page. I have reset Safari a couple of times. I have also reloaded Safari. I have contacted my ISP, who say my connections are OK.
I followed Carolyn Samit advice and went to "Spinning BeachBall of Death" and selected "Never" on "Energy Saver", but the spinning wheel is still there. I restored the Energy Saver to it original form.
Can somebody give me advice, please?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software -- potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions -- they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are four lines of text in monospaced type, which are UNIX shell commands. They’re harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of running these commands, search this site for other discussions in which they’ve been used without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap in your browser, but each one is really just a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
To begin, launch the Terminal application; e.g., by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search. A text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Copy or drag -- do not type -- the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
    kextstat -kl | awk ' !/com\.apple/ { print $6 $7 } '
Post the lines of output (if any) that appear below what you just entered (the text, please, not a screenshot.)
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk ' !/0x|apple|com\.vix|edu\.|org\./ { print $3 } '
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning.
    Step 3
    launchctl list | sed 1d | awk ' !/0x|apple|edu\.|org\./ { print $3 } '
    Step 4
    ls -1A {,/}Library/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Sta}* 2> /dev/null
Important: If you synchronize with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, change it to something like “[email protected]” before posting.
Remember, steps 1-4 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer -- no typing, except your password.
    You can then quit Terminal.

Sorry - GREP is new. Like this? (\*)($2)(\*)? Not working for me.
My workaround is to add another GREP style with a new character style with colour turned off called invisible, haha.
As Peter mentioned, GREP styles cannot remove text, which is why he assumed you were using Find/Change.
The "invisible" trick may still work for you, though. You need to set the text color to [None] but also set its size to 0.1 pt, which is as small as InDesign allows. A single character such as your '*' then is as invisible as possible.
See http://indesignsecrets.com/using-grep-styles-to-format-html-code-in-indesign.php for a longer writeup, which uses the same trick to hide HTML.

  • Strange distorted colours on my ibook screen, blacks turn to reds, help!

    Hello!
I am posting my display problem here so that i don't have to spend unnecessary money on it. So the problem began 3 days ago when i started my ibook, the apple logo that usually is the center of a blue screen, was a bit grey with some red highlights and the blue ceased to be blue to turn to purple... when it boots it shows a lot of red shades all in a distroted form, the black colour no longer exists and was turned into red, i also have a pattern of red diagonal lines all over the display... what can this be? i still haven't done anything, what do you recommend me to do?
    Thank you very much!

Sounds like it's probably a defect in the video controller.
Are you still under warranty? If so, get it in for repair.
If not, check to see if you qualify for a free repair under this program:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/faq/
If so, take it in for inspection, and request service under this program.
I believe that this extension only covers G3 iBooks. So, if you have a G4, you're probably going to have to rely on warranty coverage.
If you are not covered under warranty or the extension program, then you'll probably be looking at paying for a new logic board unless they can find a simple problem.
But, it sounds like it's the video controller to me. This is integrated in the main logic board. So, it's going to require replacing the entire logic board.
The question is: Can you get it done free or will you have to pay for it.
Check to see if you qualify for the free repair.
    I hope this helps.

  • My iPad 2 screen has turned a weird colour. The background is black and the letters are white instead of the other way round and colour photos look like negatives. How do I change it back.

My IPad screen has turned a weird colour, the background is white and the letters white instead of the other way round.  Colour photos look like negatives. How can I turn it back to a white background.

    Dear Steve,
You are wonderful! You are the best! I'm Stephania and I recently purchased a refurbished ipad2. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and updating & fixing it so my liking. The only thing that I couldn't correct were the photos that looked like negatives. Every photo, even on the internet, on apps, everywhere! I just couldn't figure out how to fix it. I contacted Apple Care and its too difficult to get in touch with them. I had looked through support before but didn't put in the right question. Well, today I got lucky. I did the two things you suggested and turning the "White On Black" off did the trick. I'm so happy! I had a feeling it was something simple and this is not even in the manual!

Try triple clicking the home button. If that doesn't work:
Settings > General > Accessibility > White on Black OFF.

  • Icons move when updating

This is just an annoyance really, but if any of the Apple developers read this, maybe they can correct it. When I apply app updates right on my iPod, the apps that need to be updated move to the last positions on the last screen and update there. I t
