Column for week

Question

Hi all
I have a table which has a column of creation date which gets populated with the sysdate when a new record is inserted
i want to add a column to the table which would give me the week in which the creation date value lies
(consider that the week starts with a monday and ends with sunday)
for eg
table temp
name creation_date Week(to add this column)
abcd 30-Jan-2010 1-25 to 1-31 (ie.week from 25th jan 2010 to 31st Jan 2010)*
pqrs 20-Jan-2010 1-18 to 1-24 ((ie.week from 18th jan 2010 to 24st Jan 2010))*
Please Help me achive this

Using next_day function:
SQL> select * from mytab;
NAME       CREATION_
abcd       20-JAN-10

trytr      25-JAN-10

SQL> select name, creation_date,
  2         to_char(next_day(creation_date-7,'monday'),'mm-dd')||
  3        ' to '||to_char(next_day(decode(to_char(creation_date,'fmday'),
  4                                        'sunday',creation_date-1,creation_date)
  5                                 ,'sunday'),'mm-dd') week
  6  from mytab;
NAME       CREATION_ WEEK
abcd       20-JAN-10 01-18 to 01-24
drgrg      30-JAN-10 01-25 to 01-31
trytr      25-JAN-10 01-25 to 01-31
werrwe     24-JAN-10 01-18 to 01-24Max

Correctly managed sunday (the previous was incorrect for creation_date on sundays)
