Com.apple.imagecapturecore error 9929

Trying to scan an image to scanner/printer HP LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175 nw, I get the error: "com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9929".
Never happened before. Any suggestion? I cannot find any suggestions.
Thanks for any help you can get me.

Have you tried turning the printer off and then back on?
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Image_Capture.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

I have an HP officejet Pro 8500 printer that I always use to scan documents.
Sometimes I get an error message and the scanner won't scn, but when I restart the printer it works fine again.
Howerver, today as usual I was trying to scan some papers and I got the error message. I restarted the printer but there is still an error message when I try to scan. Then I started to get a message says "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9922.)"
Any ideas what this is and how to resolve it ?

Hi @ATCDeJay , I see by your post that you are getting a error "com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9929", when scanning from the HP Software. But you can scan through Apple preferences. I can help you but I will need some more information.

There are several Laserjet 200 series.
What operating system are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What driver did you install? (CD, Apple driver)
    Have a nice day!

  • Why can't I import my phots's fom my digital camera? I get this error message The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9912.)

The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9912.)

The com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error may be a system issue.  Try applying this updaters:
OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
OS X Lion 10.7.5 Supplemental Update
and then try again.  Also try reformatting the memory card with the camera, take some test shots and try importing those photos.  This is to rule out a card issue.

How are you trying to transfer it?  Which applicaiton on the Mac are you using? How are you connecting the iPhone to the Mac? If you're using iPhoto what version of iPhoto is it and what system are you using?

  • Com.apple.imagecapturecore error 9937

Got this error message when trying to import pictures from my Canon Powershot A400 onto my iMac, OS X Yosemite v 10.10.3, Using Photos version 1.0.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi John,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, that does not work. Image Capture simply will not scan wirelessly to the HP Officejet 6500A Plus from all I've read and tried. Essentially, Apple has issues with their wireless connections to these HP printers from all I can read and gather. I'm pretty much to the point of having to sell this to a PC user and recommend that all mac users avoid any HP all in one type wireless printers, as they simply are not compatible with Apple Macintosh products for true "wireless" connectivity as advertised by HP.

  • Error when trying to scan from my HP DeskJet 3050 J610 (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore -9929.)

When trying to use my HP DeskJet 3050 J610 series I get an error (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore -9929.)  It can't scan.  Anyone know how to fix it?

The error is ICReturnScannerFailedToSelectFunctionalUnit, but I am not sure what that means. Is there an HP disgnostic available? Are the drivers current? Maybe HP has some experience with this error.

  • I need your  error {com.apple.appleaccount error 403}

I need your help please as i has the below error {com.apple.appleaccount error 403} so how i can solve it to work in i cloud please i need a reply

    Error: com.apple.appleaccount error 403
Recreate Error: On a Iphone/Ipad device that has "already" created the maximum of 3 per device Apple limit of ICloud account creation attempt to create or login to ICloud service tab in Settings. You will be presented with "com.apple.appleaccount error 403" which does not tell the laymen anything useful.
Cause: IOS 7 reports a "best guess" error instead of detailed error explanation.
How To Resolve Error: Find a device that has not been used to create an ICloud account the maximum 3 times and use it to create the ICloud account by logging into the Settings/ICloud tab with the Apple ID you want a ICloud account created for.
Keep in mind this will use up one of the three lifetime allowed ICloud account creations allowed by Apple on that device.
Also per support: If an existing account is logged into the ICloud service. A. Backup phone using iTunes on a mac/pc. B. At bottome of Settings/ICloud Delete the account "AND" all the user date from the phone. It will offer the Delete all data option. The reason for Deletion(and is why we backed up on a pc vs. the cloud) is when you create the new ICloud account it will backup all of the Device owners information to the wrong persons account.
Once you have created the new ICloud account log into that account on device that was presenting error: "com.apple.appleaccount error 403" it should allow the ICloud login.
Once you have verified the "device with error" is ICloud functional delete the ICloud account from the device used to seed the ICloud account and delete again all user data from cloud. Restore the recently created mac/pc Itunes locally created backup to the phone and then go to Settings/ICloud and login with the device owners Apple ID and password and verify your backup to the ICloud settings and Eureka! your done.
It took less time to do that for me to type this lol.
