Com.sap.pct.srm.core configuration missing in Portal for SRM
Hi,
We have installed a new portal 7.0 ehp1.
Installed the SRM business package.
configured all the roles.
Configured UWL
But in Universal workflow configuration content , com.sap.pct.srm.core is missing.
In our development system , it was already present. Not sure why in the new system it is missing.
Can we download from the development system and upload it in the new system.
Thanks,
Tanuj
That should have been installed when you install the corresponding BP for SRM.
To answer your question - yes you can download it from your DEV system and upload it into your QA system.
Thanks,
Shanti

Pcd object "com.sap.pct.crm.core.valuehelp" cannot be accessed
Hi dear gurus,
We need your help.
We are a company working with CRM 5.0 Sp 15 on EP 7.0.
We have this problem:
One of the BP's tabs shows the Marketing Attributes in the standard way: first of all you have to decide the attribute set ("Add"), then you have to choose the attribute ("Add" in the attribute section) and at last you can choose the value for the attribute.
This works well in dev and qas, both through the portal and through the PCUI web pages launched by a link in the sapgui.
This also works in the production environment, but ONLY if launched through the SAP GUI's web app (without the portal's intervention)
The problem is that, in the production environment, when we click on the value list of the attribute set IN THE PORTAL, we receive an exception of this kind:
[EXCEPTION]
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Access is denied: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.crm/com.sap.pct.crm.roles/com.sap.pct.crm.core.defaultservices/com.sap.pct.crm.core.valuehelp - user: TEAMDEVEL, TEAMDEVEL
We have re-created the role copying it from the QAS environment, we have linked a new user to it but we still have the problem.
Is the user lacking a portal authorization in the production system? What would it be? Shouldn't it have been fixed by the recreation of the role and of the user? Any ideas?
Thank you very much for your precious help...Hi Giovanni,
It looks like a permissions issue, you might want to refer to the permissions of
1. The role that you are creating, see to it that you have everyone group assigned to it and enduser checked.
2. As you are connecting to CRM system, you might be have created a system using which you are accessing the CRM system, check for the permissions of that as well.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Currently I am working on SRM upgrade project . How to remove/hide approve button in UWL inbox.
Below xml code, using in UWL configuration file in portal:
<ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.srm.TS90000005.SAP_SRM" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="com.sap.pct.srm.core.view.tasks" defaultAction="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.cont.approve" executionMode="default">
<ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_SRM" externalType="TS90000005" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
<Actions>
<Action reference="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.cont.approve" />
<!<Properties><Property name="display_order_priority" value="uwlExcludeFromPreviewDetail"/></Properties></Action>>
</Actions>
</ItemType>
Implemented " uwlExcludeFromPreviewDetail" code in xml, but it is not working. Pls guide, how to tweak the properties definition a little bit to get it to work.
By removing approval reference in xml code, approre button and inbox hyperlink both functionality disappear. As per my requirement, Inbox approve data should have hyperlink as it is and approve button should be disappear/remove/hide.
Otherwise without hyperlink, user has to select any workflow item and click "Details" button. For this need xml code for enabling Details button
Anybody light on thisHi,
Remove the Approval action from the XML by deleting <Action reference="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.cont.approve" />
Also on this, <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.srm.TS90000005.SAP_SRM" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="com.sap.pct.srm.core.view.tasks" defaultAction="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.cont.approve" executionMode="default">
change the defaultAction="viewDetail" to enable the hyperlink which will open up the detail if click on hyperlink. If you need to open up the details in SAP GUI (ITS), change the defaultAction="launchSAPAction"
Hope this helps.

Hello Experts!
I've installed MDM 5.5 SP6 along with the portal content that came from the same download. The portal content files I installed are listed below.
BPMDMAPPLI06_0.sca
BPMDMTECHN06_0.sca
MDM_WEB_UI550.sca
MDMJAVAAPI06_0.sca
When I try to get a new MDM system I get the exception below. I've looked and searched the portal content and this iView (com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.systems.MDMSystemWizard) does indeed appear to be missing. Is there something else I need to install? The SCA files all deployed without errors.
Steps to recreate this error:
System Administration => System Configuration => Portal Content => (landscape directory)
=> Right-Click => New System (from template) => choose MDM System template => Next
Thanks,
John

EP6: com.sap.pct.crm.generics.ValueHelp not found
Hi at all,
We are tring to setup crm default scenario in EP6.
To do this we have imported the relative business package from iviewstudio.com (Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0 50.2)
The Bsp part of the application seems to work fine but we get an error following the link that should open a pop-up to help the user selecting values
The error is described here:
<i>Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
iView not found: /global/services/service-iviews/local/com.sap.pct.crm.generics.ValueHelp.</i>
This Iview was imported correctly from the business package (I've checke the import logs).
I've looked on the server and I've found the related classes/jar (generics.jar).
I've looked also log (using the logviewer application) files but there nothing releted to this.
Does anyone have an idea to solve the problem? or something else to check?
Thanks in advance,
Bye

Hi!
I am facing with either authorization or some other problem within interaction between BEx Analyzer and Portal.
When try to check the functionality of the object
pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bexanalyzer
via "Preview"
I get the following error:
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Unable to parse template
Can some one help me to solve my problem?
What are the steps to integrate BEX Integration into SAP EP?
I am on SAP EP 7.0 SPS 17.
Thank you very much!
regardsHi Holger,
As you aptly said its the authorization problem. The role which we are assigning to the user must have permissions set. Please make 'Everyone' user with end user permissions and for the everyone group also. After this restart your server. Also pls chk for the full Domain name URL thru which we are accessiong portal
Please check SAP Note 890314 .
This will surely help you.
hope this was useful.

Hi,
I am running NW04sp10 and am trying to connect my WebDynPro to my R/3 backend app server - am running through the FlightChecking example using DevStudio 2.0.10.
Have successfully created my meta + app data JCo's, they test and ping OK from the Content Manager. SLD is fine, connecting happily to the NW and R/3 boxes. One is message server, one central instance.
When the 'create model' wizard tries to build the java proxies though, it comes back with this:
[Fatal]: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx
Can anyone help?
Cheers guys,
AndyHi Wael,
I'm using the tutorial 'Handling Transactions with BAPIs in Web Dynpro' [part of SAP Online Help].
The BAPI does work in se37, it's just a standard SAP delivered BAPI, and I've tried a few different ones to make sure it wasn't a BAPI specific problem.
In the content admin I've navigated through the local/FlightChecking/Applications/FlightCheckingComp and then used the wizard to add the 2 JCOs [I've kept the default names for now after your previous advice]
The data is like this:
WD_MODELDATA_DEST:
Name WD_MODELDATA_DEST
Client 800
J2EE Cluster Name NW1 on chippy
USER USER1
Password <password>
Application Server nero
System ID 00
WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST:
Name WD_RFC_MODELDATA_DEST
Client 020
J2EE Cluster Name NW1 on chippy
USER USER1
Password <password>
Application Server chippy
System name NW1
Logon Group PUBLIC
My landscape here is of 2 servers:
'Nero' SAP r/3 4.7 Application Server System ID ACI
'Chippy' SAP WebAS640 NW04 System ID NW1 ABAP+J2EE stack
The JCOs 'test' and 'ping' successfully. My WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST connection is to a message server, the WD_MODEL_DEST is to a central instance.
Here's the full log from the create model wizard [I used a random BAPI for testing, BAPI_GET_PAYSLIP, so don't worry about that]:
[Warning]: Creating a connection with Metamodel language <en_GB> failed. Continuing with language <EN>
[Fatal]: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx

[Info]: Creating Model Class Property: Text_Col
[Info]: Creating Model Relation: Bapi_Get_Payslip_Output:Payslip
[Info]: Creating Model Relation: Bapi_Get_Payslip_Input:Output:Bapi_Get_Payslip_Output
So it seems to actually be able to retrieve the metadata for the BAPIs, but not to make the relevant JCo's. I've not gone on and completed the tutorial, assuming it won't work until I can sort out the above 'fatal' error.
Thanks again for all of your good advice.

Disabled standard role com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper
Hi - I've logged an OSS but if anyone can help me quicker it ould be most appreciated;
the role com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper can be found in the portal
content location
pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.pct.pdk/Roles/com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper
when i double click on that role it shows only one Workset called
Examples and within it a workset called OBN Examples
I searched the SDN and found this post:
/community [original link is broken]
forumID=53&threadID=19464&messageID=162992
which sounded exactly right. sure enough the role was assigned to the
administrator.once i removed it, the role is now not working for any of
my logons - test users or Administrator.
in addition we do not have the object com.sap.pdk.JavaDeveloper in our
system.
help
andysorry, probably haven't explained it well enough.
it used to have lots of entry points, yes. but none of them were visible in the portal catalogue, except one "Examples"
the linked post describes exactly the same problems. when i followed the recommended steps "remove the role from the Administrator account" in that post, the role stopped working, apart from the "Examples" workset. Apparently we are not using NWDI and apparently this has some relevance, in that we can't create the system alias for the webDynpro as the post also recommends.
to recap - the standard role, since unassigning it from the administrator account, now does not function for any user. only the workset "Examples" is visible in the role. this was the case before. trying to view the other objects in the role is the reason I was working on it., since we have a requirement to add the Portal Logviewer in to the content developer role, without giving them the whole of the PDK/PRT maintenance applications. it now transpires that they were not displaying and were hidden becasue they are not Iviews, but are components accessed directly.
Does it need to be rebuilt? if so , how?
thanks ,

I know this is an old thread but I could'nt find this subject into any other thread and I got the same problem recently.
When you are performing the export, choose '*' as filter.
Then, you should be able to get this temporary object into an .epa
Import it in your target system, it should work fine.

title: Can I com.sap.pct.fin.util.isrprocessevent.IsrProcessEvent?
Hi Guys,
I am creating ISR JSP forms these days and I found the ISR framework is not so flexible. For example, if I want to a event to handle some buttons in Java code(like when click one button, I can trigger an event to call RFC function), it is so difficult, because the controller class is com.sap.pct.fin.util.isrprocessevent.IsrProcessEvent. So I am thinking about to override this class, then I can make this framework more fexible.
If I don't override com.sap.pct.fin.util.isrprocessevent.IsrProcessEvent, how can I call an RFC function via click a button?
Is there anyone can help me? Thanks very much!
