Com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException
Hi Everybody,
I am getting the below mentioned error, while deploying the application. I am trying to get some values from backend to display it in a dropdownKey. So I am giving an GroupID and UserID in my wdDoinit().
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: DataNodeInfo(AuditRepCompView <VIEW NAME>): cannot modify Groupid <MODEL ATTRIBUTE> because it is mapped and there is no active NodeElement to take the value
Regards/Guru
hi jhansi,
I didn't use any model attribute. i just create 2 attribute from the context. after tat, i mapped those two attributes to the relevant context element.
But after i rebuilt & deploy my application, it show this error: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: DataNodeInfo(StartView): cannot modify pwd because it is mapped and there is no active NodeElement to take the value
Can u pls tell me wad this error means?
Thanks & Rgds,

Hi Experts,
I am consuming RFC to my webdynpro java application. The rfc takes some input values and returns some output vaules.
In the application I had taken model to my component and mapped ( model --> component --> view ). i created Application and deployed it. it is giving the following Exception.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: NodeElement(.ComponentOne.Zbapi_Material_Create_Input): model node element cannot be created without a model instance
at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ModelNodeElement.<init>(ModelNodeElement.java:63)
at com.sap.demo.sample.wd.comp.componentone.wdp.IPublicComponentOne$IZbapi_Material_Create_InputElement.<init>(IPublicComponentOne.java:357)
at com.sap.demo.sample.wd.comp.componentone.wdp.IPublicComponentOne$IContextNode.doCreateElement(IPublicComponentOne.java:55)
at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.NodeInfo.createElement(NodeInfo.java:1269)
Here actually it had to display the input screen (default view page )but while loading the starting page it gives the above exception.
I searches lot of forums, but they are related to particular inputfields, but here it is not that scenario, i am not using any fields here just to display the view page. I don't know exactly what was the mistake, Help me please if you know.
Regards,
Pradeep KumarHi Pradeep,
Did you checked that all the requierd code has been genarated or not in component controller?
If you use apply template--> servicee controller some times service controller will not genarate the requierd code.
check in the wdDoInit() method whether the following code has been genarated or not.
if not wirte tht code.
//$$begin Service Controller(17224717)
WSTest model = new WSTest();
wdContext.nodeRequest_EmployeeDeatilsByType().bind(new Request_EmployeeDeatilsByType(model));
//$$end
Revert back if you have any quaries.
Thanks & Regards,

Dear all,
i have two web dynpro components, say A and B.
A is using component B.
When i push a close button in B, i do the following things:
1. wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportWarning("Some warning!!!");
2. wdThis.wdGetICLRequestDetailsController().leaveRequestDetails();
This leaveRequestDetails() fires a plug (standard) to leave back to my component A and component A deletets the componentUsage when needed... ( if(hasActiveComponent()) )
Component B has a view with an inputfield for an amount (bigdecimal). When this has valid input and i push the button and execute 1. and 2. everything works fine and i see the warning on the view of my comp. A.
When i put invalid input in the amount field ( for example some characters) and i push the button, i see an error message on my view in comp. B. (automatic validation)
When i correct the input and push the submit button again while the previous error message is still visible on the screen (so there's no event trigerred since the automatic validation), i get the following nullpointer exception on calling the deleteComponent method in component A:

When i do the same again, but without reporting the warning before leaving comp B, i don't get the nullpointer exception and can continue interacting on my view in component A.
Can anyone tell me what's the cause for this nullpointer? is it a bug?
Kind regards.
J.The following is a working solution for me:
MessageManager mManager = (MessageManager)wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
mManager.reset();
I have put these lines right before i call the deleteComponent() method in my web dynpro component A. -
hi,
In every view, the "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDView view" is the parameter of the mothed wdDoModifyView(). I wonder, if we can make type com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDView parameter in other methods which are designed by ourself. Thank you!Hi Daniel,
This method wdDoModifyView will be raised every time the view is changed or refreshed (i.e. button pressed, drop down selected). This should cover all cases where you need IWDView, personally I can't think of another case where you need this parameter.
As far as I know it is not possible but even if it is it's not recommended.
But perhaps I'm wrong, I'll be happy to hear more opinions from more experienced SDNers...

hi,everybody,
As we all know, there is a com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDView object in wdDoModifyView() parameters.We can use the IWDView object in the method or after the method.But in my project, I want to use the IWDView object before wdDoModifyView() method.I don't know how to create a IWDView object. Would you please help me.Thank you!Hi daniel,
wdModifyView is called by framework while rendering the view & IWDView is used for it. Before wdDoModifyView its not possible according to me , may be u can check with armin.
Hi Manoj,
First of all, even if u declare a variable , u can't initializae it before weDoModifyView. Apart from that its always suggested , not to access the IWDView outside the wdModifyView . i think that's why wdDoModifyView is static & called everytime ,u do anything with the view.

I have created the JCO connections also ,i am able to test them also.I have imported the same into NWDS and deployed the application , its deploying but the out put is the same error.
I have cross checked the models and found that the Model is there in the model types.
Can any one help me regarding this.
Waiting for the response ASAP.
Thanks
Ravi.SHi,
I think you mean ear file and not par file. Check these threads. The exception is mentioned to be because of JCo problems only.

Hi everybody,
I got trouble with my WebDynpro Application. When I deploy an application including a Table without being bound to any context node, the deployment works and the view is rendered properly. As soon as I bind this table to the context in order to fill the columns, I receive the Exception Message in the subject line. I tried running this application on several WEB AS Version from SP 14 to 17, however, I received the same Exception everytime. Is the framework of my NWDS broken or what is going on?
I'm grateful for every hint that could solve the issue,
thx and rgds,

Hi, all.
I am trying to initiate a webdynpro page from the producer to the consume portal via RDL. It works fine for a day. Then it starts giving me the error:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to load page ...
This error cannot be cleared by clearning the FPN cache or synchronize with the producer. Of course, you can also delete the page from the consumer and copy it over from the producer again. It will work. But this is not a good workaround for a production system. We also don't know the cause either. Here is the stack trace:

So far I found nothing on OSS or SDN on this FpnUnMarshallingException. Has anyone seen this error before?
Thanks.

Edited by: Jonathan Ma on Apr 23, 2009 12:25 AMHi Jonathan,
you may deactivate the GPN cache as well as the old navigation cache. About the GPN there is note 1172433. Both caches are not used in FPN scenario and can lead to such strange problems. If this won't help please open a support message for this that we can analyse further.
Cheers,

To explain further, I have 3 views in my webdynpro project, list view, results view and detail view that is embedded in the same window.
In the list view, I have a table of materials with linktoaction event that when clicked will go to detail material view to display material information. In this scenario this is working with no problems for all the items in the list.
When I do the same thing from the result view as the list view, only the first url link action works to display the detail view , the others fail with the above exception.
Any help on resolving this issue is appreciated.
Thanks,
Sunitha.Ayyapparaj,
The lifespan of ResultsView is "FrameworkControlled".
Following is the code snippet for onclick of a row in the table in the results view,
IWDMessageManager messageMgr = wdThis.wdGetAPI().getComponent().getMessageManager();
// getting the user's assigned SoldTo from the UME profile
String[] customer = null;
String SoldTo = null;
try
IUser user = WDClientUser.getLoggedInClientUser().getSAPUser();
IUserAccount[] acct = user.getUserAccounts();
customer = user.getAttribute(AvailabilityApp.NAMESPACE_LENNOX,AvailabilityApp.ATTR_SOLDTO);
SoldTo = customer[0];
} catch (UMException e)
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
messageMgr.reportException(e.getMessage(),false);
//create the instance and pass parameters for RFC Z_RFC_HRP_MATERIAL_INFO_Input
Z_Rfc_Hrp_Material_Info_Input input = new Z_Rfc_Hrp_Material_Info_Input();
wdContext.nodeZ_Rfc_Hrp_Material_Info_Input().bind(input);
input.setMatnr(wdContext.currentATP_To_AtpElement().getMatnr().toUpperCase());
input.setUser_Id(SoldTo);
//executing the RFC Z_Rfc_Wwhc_Zatp
wdThis.wdGetAvailabilityAppController().ExecuteZ_RFC_HRP_MATERIAL_INFO();
wdContext.currentContextElement().setReturnTextDisplay("Availability Results");
wdThis.wdFirePlugToDetailView();
When it goes to Detail view and try to display the UI bound to the output from the above
Z_RFC_HRP_MATERIAL_INFO() , it shows this error.
Please note that the above code does not fail for the first row of the results table in the results view, but it does for all the others. Is there something that I am missing here ?
Thanks,
Sunitha. -

Hi,
can u tell me how to create supply function???
i just gone through the PDF(Advanced Input Help - The Object Value Selector (OVS))
In that he created supplufunction and 4 methods
1)getOVSInputNode-com.sap.tc.webdynpro.programmodel.api.IWDNode
2)getOVSListener-com.sap.tc.webdynpro.programmodel.api.IWDOVSContextNotificationlistener
3)getOVSOutputtNode-com.sap.tc.webdynpro.programmodel.api.IWDNode
4)SwithchOVSListener-String
Can u plz tell me how to get these return types and how to create supply function just by clicking new in methods tabHi Padma
Follow These Steps of Implementing <i>Object Value Selector</i>
<u><b>Component Controller</b></u>
Create the Following Contexts in Component Controller
Node1(Name,Location)
Node2(Name,Age,Location)
Source(Name,Age,Location)
/*All are Type String*/
Add the Following Code in Component Controller
public void wdDoInit()
//@@begin wdDoInit()
String name[] = {"Arun","Boopathi","Bala"};
String age[] = {"24","22","24"};
String location[] = {"Erode","Gobi","Gingee"};
IPublicOVS_Model_Comp.ISourceElement ele;
for(int i=0;i<name.length;i++)
ele = wdContext.nodeSource().createSourceElement();
ele.setName(name<i>);
ele.setAge(age<i>);
ele.setLocation(location<i>);
wdContext.nodeSource().addElement(ele);
//@@end
<b>Create a inner Class called ovslist between the begin and others in the Component controller which is found at the end of the code. If you created somewhere the coding will be lost. After creating the class type app and pres ctrl space you will be shown the list of api's with apply input values, on querry and apply result</b>
//@@begin others
