Bonjour,
Nous souhaitons organiser un quiz avec un formulaire en ligne créé à partir de FormsCentral. 300 personnes sont inscrites à ce quiz qui aura lieu durant une période très courte (1 heure). Les serveurs Adobe peuvent-ils supporter 300 connections simultanées sans risque de ralentissement ou de perte de données ? J'insiste bien sur le fait que les connexions seront simultanées.

Je poste sur le forum d'Apple car je ne sais plus quoi faire et surtout comment faire.
Depuis la sortie de l'iPhone chez Bouygues le 29/04/2009 je n'arrive pas a envoyer un simple mail.
Pourquoi ?
LA simple et bonne raison est que Bouygues bloque tous les smtp sauf quelques gros FAI et le sien.
Mes mails (avec mon site) sont hébergés chez un gestionnaire de sites et donc possède son propre serveur SMTP. Donc quand je paramètre mon compte au niveau du courrier sortant je mets smtp.xxxxxx.com et mes mots de passe. Mais rien n'y fait.
J'ai déjà téléphoné chez mon prestataire et il m'a expliqué que Bouygues télécom bloquait les serveurs SMTP. Mon collègue a le même iPhone que moi mais sur Orange et tout fonctionne parfaitement.
J'ai bien sur contacté le support Bouygues, ils m’ont bien évidement raconté, a plusieurs fois, des histoires a dormir debout et que la seule solution était de mettre leur serveur smtp (smtp.bouygtel.fr) mais le souci c'est que TOUS les utilisateurs de mobiles, qu'ils soient Apple ou non, utilisent ce serveur.
Délai entre envoi et réception entre 2h et 4h quand les mails arrivent :-\
Y-a t'il des solutions a mon problème ? Des gents sont-ils dans le même cas que moi ? Apple peut-il appuyer ma demande ?

Thus when I parameter my account on the level of the outgoing mail I put smtp.xxxxxx.com and my passwords. But nothing n' there made. J' already telephoned at my person receiving benefits and it m' explained that Bouygues telecom blocked waiters smtp. My colleague has same the iPhone that me but on Orange and all functions perfectly. of course i have contacted the support Bouygues, they obviously told me, has several times, of the ****-and-bull stories and that the only solution was to put their waiter smtp (smtp.bouygtel.fr) but the concern c' is that ALL the users of mobiles, qu' they are Apple or not, use this waiter. Time between sending and reception between 2:00 and 4:00 when the emails arrive: - \ Y-a t' it of the solutions has my problem? Are races in the same case as me? Can Apple support my request? Acrobat 9 pro support windows server 2003 32bit?

in the acrobat 9 pro readme file,I see the system requiement:
Windows Server® 2003 (with Service Pack 2 for 64-bit);
my question is that does acrobat 9 pro support windows server 2003 32 bit?
I have install it at windows server 2003 32bit,
but when i open it, a message box
"Licensing for this product has stopped working"
i have try the solution in kb405970, and can not resolve it.
so manybe really it doesn't support windows server 2003 32 bit?

John makes some very good points but I would like to clarify one thing from his post: you are planning three migrations:
1. From 32bit -> 64bit
2. From Windows to Linux
3. From Oracle 10gR2 to 11gR2
The second of these is the one most liekly to give you grief. You certainly should not attempt to combine it with a database upgrade. Either move the database to RHEL and then upgrade it, or upgrade it on Windows and then move it to the new server.
Of these, the first is the least controversial. So it's a nice point whether it is worth upgrading from Windows 32bit to Windows 64bit prior to moving to Linux.

Does Acrobat Pro 9 support "page-break-before" CSS tag? ie Pagination issues

Converting a whole stack of html files to PDF and having some pagination issues. Titles not staying with images and tables getting chopped in half by page breaks etc.
Thought i could solve it by using carefully placed "page-break-before:always" tags where i wanted the page break. Works as expected in Safari when i go to print but not when i "File:Create PDF: From File" in Acrobat Pro. They get ignored.

This is a major hassle. I've got over 600 webpages to convert to PDF's and manually entering to force items onto the next page is getting old.
Here's some sample html, paste it into a file, save, open it in Safari and then go to print. It should print 7 pages. Open it in Acrobat Pro 9.1.0 and you get one page.

The really nice thing is this would be so useful. You can attach the tag (page-break-before:avoid) to a Caption style and always be assured that it will stay with a following graphic when you print the webpage. Or use it to make sure a table doesn't get cut in half.

Cost me some serious cash. Very annoying.
I haven't tried it with Safari 5. Acrobat allowed me set page margins, something that Safari 4 didn't allow (didn't support margin css tags). But acrobat didn't support the pagination and Safari 4 did.

I'll see if Safari 5 supports the print margins css tags.
I'll prob get asked to do this again so would like to sort it out

There are no announced plans to update Acrobat version 9 to keep track of the rapid release schedule in Firefox, though Adobe is trying to keep Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X updated, and today's 10.1.1 patch brings in compatibility with Firefox 6.0. You can always install Reader X alongside Acrobat 9, and use Reader as the default for in-browser use.

Does Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional support the content of an image which has been converted to a PDF file to be edited?
Sometimes when I try to edit the content of a PDF file which was created by converting an image into a PDF file, I notice that Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional tells me that this Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot support this content.
On the other hand, even if Adobe Acrobat professional could edit a PDF file, I notice that there are far too many restrictions to edit the content, for example, if your new editing words are more than the old then the line goes out the page instead of going to a new line. In addition, if you reached to the end of a line, and then you press 'Enter' to let the rest of words of the last line be written on the next line, you notice that the words writes on the words of line which follows the line which is being edited. As a result, the text would be quite crazy.

For example, if you insert extra words or characters, the text does not automatically word-wrap. In addition, the "Enter key" does not work properly to insert a new line at the expected position. As a result, the text is quite crazy.

Does Acrobat X Standard Support "Edit Page Numbering Format"

In Acrobate X Pro, I can edit page numbers using the "Edit Page Numbering Format" feature. This is the icon in the Customize Quick Tools dialog box:

Yes, the 'Number Pages' option from 'Document Processing' is available in Acrobat X Standard too. This tool functions the same in both Acrobat X Standard and Professional.

This file requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to support tracking functionality

All PDF files uploaded to our Adobe Connect Content libraries (hosted) are displaying a window with the message "This file requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to support tracking functionality". I have 2 hosted accounts and both have this issue (which started today). We were upgraded to version 9.1 over the weekend also. Is anyone else seeing this and do you know of a resolution?

Update: We have not been able to confirm whose update (MS or Adobe) caused this issue, but the one of the resolutions (enabled Reader Add-on) has broken something else.
Enabled add-on: Enabling the Reader add-on resolved the issue of not being able to view PDFs, but now prevents the PDF from opening in the application. Instead, it now opens in the browser, which causes links on the PDF to open the linked file in the same window. Reader: In some cases, enabling the Reader Add-on did not resolve the issue until Reader was uninstalled and/or reinstalled.

No it doesn't.
Acrobat isn't part of the Creative Cloud product range, it is included in the CC subscription packages but it doesn't include features of the "... CC" products such as Sync or Typekit.

Depuis l'installation de Mavericks je ne peux plus accéder à mes serveurs DLNA (PSM ou Twonky média de orange). Pour PSM j'ai un message d'erreur de protocole DLNA qui apparait sur la PS3. Pour Twonky, il n'est même plus retrouvé en local par le navigateur safari. La désactivation du parefeu ne change rien. Avez vous des idées? Merci.

VB6 - Confusion regarding Acrobat Version and supported methods

I've got an app, created in VB6, that uses the javascript method "addWatermarkFromFile". It works fine on my machine(s) with Acrobat 7 and 9.0. One of the machines that it has been installed on gets an "Object doesn't support this property or method" error. The machine has had several version of Acrobat on it in the past, but is now running 9.4.1. I added a chunk of code to create the AcroExch app and Show it, and the user reports that it launches Acrobat 9.4.1, so I know it's creating an app that should support "addWatermarkFromFile". Is there anything else I can check? I don't know much about the OLE mechanisms. Could a stray acrobat.tlb file cause something like that?

After further review the problem was NOT related to addWatermarkFromFile, but rather was caused when the app called a javascript function that was implemented by the placement of a .js file in the Javascripts directory. The user is now, inconveniently, on vacation, but I'm guessing either the script is not being created (unlikely) or that Javascript (or some portion of the javascript functionality) is disabled.

Why Does Abode Acrobat doesn't support TAMIL OCR ???

The Tamil Characters are not properly extracted to Word as we don't have tamil OCR character recognition in Adops.
Is there is any Adobe Tamil OCR plugin available or any idea about best Tamil OCR software to export Tamil Scanned PDFs to Word or Extract Text.
