Combination of SalesPro / MarketingPro / IC Agent possibilities

Working on an implementation for CRM7.0.  Users will need to have access to specific pieces of the Marketing Professional, Sales Professional, and IC Agent roles.
Objective:  Not require individuals to log in multiple times to complete their work.  This would be cumbersome and impact individual's adoption of the application.
I have been informed that if individuals need functionality from all of these roles, they will have to log in multiple times.  For example, they will have to create interactions under the IC Agent role, but if they want to see campaign details, they would have to log out and go in under the Marketing Professional role.
Is it possible to create a hybrid role that will allow for functionalty from all three of these roles to be combined into a single custom role?

You would have to look at SPRO CRM UI Framework Business roles.
The issue is each role has a type, a config key, a nav bar profile, layout profile, a technical profile, and a PFCG role (which could be custom).  This is fairly complex to combine into one role.  Most companies just change the default logon parameter within a SAP GUI session that way the end user gets a screen of which role they want to log in as.
It's just too many discrepancies between the roles so not possible.

  • How to configure Oracle database in a failover zone cluster

Setup: Oracle database and zone configured on highly available local filesystems.
    Two node cluster.
Oracle database running inside the zone.
Note: I dont have a zone cluster.
    1. I need to make the zone and the oracle database highly available.
    2. Can I configure the Oracle Data service directly to run in the zone or will it involve creating sczsh_config script to do the same.
I have been going through the guides and searching over the net, but haven't found any help so far. Its so much simpler to configure this environment in Veritas cluster. Hope I find some help here.
    TIA,
    Sudhir

The Oracle Solaris Cluster concepts guide has some information on which zone model to choose:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18728_01/html/821-2682/gcbkf.html#scrolltoc
When managing a Solaris zone with the HA Zones agent, the cluster basically regards the non-global zone as a blackbox.
As such you can either start the Oracle database as part of the runlevel/SMF startup of the non-global zone, or you can use the sczsh or sczsmf component and use your own scripts to start, probe and stop the Oracle database.
Usage of the standard HA Oracle data service is not supported in combination with the HA Zones agent.
If you require a more fine grained control of services running in non-global zones, why not setup a zone cluster and then having HA Oracle failover the Oracle database between non-global zones?

  • PR/PO doc type

    Dear Friends
Can you all please adivce on how a PR document type is triggered by the system when we run an MRP  when i multiple PR document types for the material and also how a PO document type is picked during the automatic creation of PO when i have multiple PO document types
    Thanks In Advance

    Hi
The document type for MRP purchase requisitions is derived from the config in
    SPRO->IMG-> MM-> Consumption-Based Planning-> Planning-> Procurement proposals-> Define External Procurement
you can define the scheduling for each MRP group with a purchase info record, an outline agreement or the document type for the purchase requisition in MRP.
You can enter the document types of purchase requisitions in the appropriate fields. The system uses the appropriate document type when creating a purchase requisition in MRP or when converting planned orders into purchase requisitions. You can choose from the following document types:
    Standard purchase order
    Subcontracting
    Stock transfer
The document type of the purchase requisition has no control purpose in MRP. It is displayed in the MRP list or the stock/requirements list for information purposes only.
Purchase requisitions for direct production are always created with the document type, standard purchase order (NB).
You assign the MRP group to the material in the material master record.
It is usually not necessary to enter document types. If no document type has been entered, the system uses document type NB to create purchase requisitions.
Regarding the auto conversion of PR to PO. This is the logic used .
to convert a group of purchase requisitions into a purchase order. The document type of the purchase order is derived from the document type of the first purchase requisition of this group according to the following algorithm:
If an order document type exists which is identical to the purchase requisition document type and is allowed according to Customizing (table T161A or Customizing Transaction OMEC) this one has the highest priority. If there is only one allowed document type, the system generates this one. For several allowed document types, the one which is entered as a default document type for Transaction ME21 is prior to the others (table T160 or Customizing Transaction OMH5). If nothing is entered here or the default document type is not allowed, the system takes the first allowed document type.
Special cases are stock transport orders and the purchse order split for each item category:
For stock transport orders the document type is derived from the combination issuing plant/receiving plant (table T161W or Customizing Transaction OMGN).
If the purchase order split is active for each item category, the item category is also used during the document type determination:
If there is one order document type which is identical with the purchase requisition document type and the same item category is allowed as the one in the purchase requisition (according to table T161A), the system uses this combination. If there are several possibilities, the system takes the first document type for which the same item category is allowed as for the purchase requisition. If this does not succeed (as in the general case), the same document type (if available) is chosen (but with a different item category) or the default document type for Transaction ME21 or the first allowed one.
There is no possibility to define a special document type (via the proposal mechanism of table T160) for the automatic generation of purchase orders.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Envy dv7-7212nr and Windows 7 64Bit

Just finished downgrading Envy dv7-7212nr from Windows 8 to Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit.  Below is the list of drivers and software paks needed to get everything working.
Hope this helps any of you having issues with wireless or fingerprint drivers.  All function buttons and on/off buttons working as they should.  You may need additional software if you changed your boot drive to SSD or if you change the wirless card as I did.  Currently running an Intel SSD and Intel 7260 dual band wireless card.
Caveat:  I have tried every combination of BIOS setting and boot possibilities to try to get Win7 to install in UEFI mode with no luck.  Tried Microsofts boot procedure, rufus installer, installing from DVD, installing from USB.  No luck.  It gets through the boot and at the Windows opening screen with the floating squares merging together, it hangs.  That's as far as it gets.  Only success has been installing in Legacy mode.  If anyone has a solution to this... I would be happy to listen.
Like I said... running fine in Legacy mode.
All of these upgrades were run AFTER all updates from Microsoft Windows Update were installed.  You can then look for updates from this point on after doing the below installs.
All done with a clean install on a bare SSD using the Win7 iso files available from Microsoft web site.
Anyway... the drivers and sofpac installers below all work:
Intel Driver Update Utility Installer - avail at Intel site
Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller 1.0.101.255- avail at Intel site
    sp64959 - Intel chipset driver

    sp67075 - Validity FingerPrint Driver
sp61399 - SimplePass Fingerprint Security Software
Hope this is a help to some of you.  Machine runs great in Legacy mode with Win7 and these installs.
Again... if anyone has success in installing and setting up in UEFI mode - I sure would appreciate some detailed step by step instructions.
    Thanks again!

  • Difference between SAP CRM Security and SAP ECC 6.0 security

    Hi
I have extensively worked on SAP ECC security but haven't have chance to work on CRM Security.
Can anyone please let me know the difference between CRM security compared to  ECC security.
    Thanks...

I am sorry to say, but instead of giving the guy a decent answer you are starting a fight or discussion about stupid forum points...
    really sad.....
The big  difference between SAP ECC and SAP CRM Security (up to release 5.0) was the following:
    1) For sure there are very different transaction codes in SAP CRM as compared to SAP ECC in the first place
    2)  If you are familiar with R/3 or ECC authorizations; then you know that already on transaction code level, the 'allowed activity' is controlled on tcode level , whereas in SAP CRM , in most cases the 'allowed activity is not controlled by the Transaction code, but on authorization object level....
E.g. transaction code BP allows you to create/change/display  any type of Business Partner (e.g; sold-to/ship-to/contact person/employee/customer) which is based on the business partner ROLE concept.... anyway...you can control the allowed activity based on different authorization objects.....
another example is business transaction processing...which can be launched by:
a very generic transaction code: CRMD_ORDER
transaction category related transaction codes :e.g.
          > CRMD_BUS2000126 for activity management
          > CRMD_BUS200115 for Sales processes
Again...allowed activity is not controlled by the tcode, but on authorization object level...
    3) As of the new WEBCLIENT UI (which is valid as of release CRM2006s/CRM2007/CRM7.0) SAP also invented an extra authorization layer, which is UI COMPONENT LEVEL and logical links....  controlled by object UIU_COMP.
However, they also introduced the BUSINESS ROLE Concept (e.g; SALESPRO/MARKETINGPRO/...) which defines actually the functionalities, navigation bar, screen configuration, logical links you can use/see within the new WEBclient UI.
Another thing is that instead of using TRANSACTION CODES, as of these new releases, you are actually using 'external services'....so you do not authorize on tcodes basically....but the logic between tcodes and external services in relation to the authorization objects that are checked is more or less the same....
STANDARD authorization setup in the new WEBUI client is therefore controlled by both backend authorizations (not UIU component related) and the UIU_COMP (restricting access to workcenters/logical links/...)
    4) Additionally SAP also provides a concept called ACE (which stand for ACCES CONTROL ENGINE)....
This requires a bit of customizing...and the rest is more or less pure customer development, as you will create your own methods where you'll define a logic which dynamically will verify what kind of access you have for an object....
You should now that ACE is actually implemented on top of your 'normal' sap crm security setup....
    cheers

  • Shipment Cost Calculation

    Dear All,
I know that tariffzone plays a role in determining the price for the freight/Service Agent condition in case of outbound shipment cost calculation
I have the following query in Shipment Pricing.
Can anyone please explain whats the role of the 2 postal code columns in the tariff zone assignment?
Also how & where I have to maintain the data for determining the tariff zone which I have assigned to the above combination.
    Please help.
    Regards,

    HI Dave,
    Thanks for the response.
Please note that I have maintained postal codes in my Shipping point also in my customer master.
For the combination of TP Point, Service agent, Shipping type & Country I have made the following assignment.
I have given my shipping point Postal code in both the Postal code columns of Tarff zone assignment (say Tariff) & my customer master Postal code in both the Postal code columns of Tariff zone assignment (say Tariff1).
Now I have maintained the condition records in TK11 for the combination of Depart. Tariff zone/Destn.Tariff zone/Service Agent i.e. Tariff/Tariff1/Service Agent
But my condition record value is not getting determined & when I simulate my shipment cost I am getting the following error message.
    Shipment costs not yet calculated
Shipment costs item 000001 w/ ref. to doc. $0001 item 0001

    Hi CRM Gurus
I have 10 different telephony queues and I need to assign different combination of queues to different agents...
How do I acheive this task ? Can somebody please help me with this process.
    Regards
    Jessy

    Hi Jessy
You will have to create your CTI Profile using the following path
IMG>CRM>IC Winclient> Hidden Components> Configuration of CTI Component-->Define CTI Component Profile
Now in this profile you can select whether the queue selection is automatic or manually by checking the check box marked Queue selection screen.
Next assign your telephone queues to the CTI Profile in the next node
IMG>CRM>IC Winclient> Hidden Components> Configuration of CTI Component-->Assign Telephone Queues to CTI Profiles
Also maintian the telephony settings in SAP Easy Access using the path
    SAP Easy Menu> IC> IC Winclient--> Administration --> Telephony
    Hope this will help

  • McAfee - combining both VSE and Agent?

    Hi everyone,
We are planning to deploy McAfee (agent 4.6& vse 8.7) to some of user machines by using sccm2012. In our case, we don't want to use ePO or updater to push
    the vse automatically.
Is there any ways to combining both VSE and Agent into one package? Or any scripts that can perform installing vse after agent install completed?
Appreciated if someone here can help on this.
    Thank you.

  • Anybody know the Roadmap for combining NAC Agent and Cisco AnyConnect?

Heard a rumor that Cisco is going to combine the functionality of the NAC Agent and Cisco AnyConnect as far as being an 802.1x supplicant, does anyone have any information about this?  Like is it true and if so, any idea when it will happen?

    Hi ,
There is no comitted plan for NAC and Anyconnect  integration. But Anyconnect now comes with a module called NAM ( network access module) which can do dot1x as well.
Here is the link for that :

  • Mod_jk in combination with mod_rewrite

My question is wtf doesn't this work?
    I'm using apache 1.3.27 and jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12
mod_jk works fine. I tried adding in mod_rewrite and now when I go to a page that gets rewritten, the mod_jk doesn't SEE the new URI. Instead, it still uses the old URI. IS THIS PROBLEM NOT FIXED IN TOMCAT-4.1.12?? That's the only explanation I can think of. I have tried putting mod_jk before mod_rewrite and vice-versa. Here's another question...... when people say to put mod_jk before mod_rewrite in the httpd.conf file, do they mean put the entire set of directives before, or just the LoadModule statement? I've tried several ways.
Anyway, here is my httpd.conf file. Any suggestions to get this far-more-painful-than-it-needs-to-be process working? Is it a Servlet 2.2 requirement that these configs be hard to use?

    # This is the main Apache server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.

    # the directives.

    # unless you have overridden these with ResourceConfig and/or
    # AccessConfig directives here.
    # The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
    # 1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
    # whole (the 'global environment').
    # 2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
    # which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
    # These directives also provide default values for the settings
    # of all virtual hosts.
    # 3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
    # different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
    # same Apache server process.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do not begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/usr/local/apache/logs/foo.log".
    ### Section 1: Global Environment
    # The directives in this section affect the overall operation of Apache,
    # such as the number of concurrent requests it can handle or where it

    # recommended that all directives be kept in a single file for simplicity.
    # The commented-out values below are the built-in defaults. You can have the

  • Messages Agent wants to use my confidential information??

    Good afternoon,
Every time I restart my computer a window opens up saying:
Messages Agent wants to use your confidential information stored in "FaceTime: email address.com" in your keychain.
do you want to allow access to this item?
    Always Allow    Deny       Allow
This has been happening since i've updated to OS X Yosemite 10.10
What is this and should I Allow it?
    Thanks

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
              Change Settings for Keychain "login"
In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences... ▹ First Aid
There are four checkboxes in the window that opens. Check all of them. if they're not already checked. Close the window.
    Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
If you use iCloud Keychain, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.

  • Issue with custom search fields in agent inbox

Is this a standard behaviour? Are standard fields given higher priority that custom fields?
Any pointers on this would be highly helpful.
    Thanks,
    Narendra

    Hi Naren,
Did you add custom field using AET? If yes then while adding custom field using AET did you make it search and result relevant?
There is nothing like priority in standard SAP fields and custom fields.
Please let me know so that I can further help you.
    Thanks,
    Bhushan

  • Organization Tab in Service Order in IC Agent Role

    Hi Experts ,
During the creation of a Service Order.,Complaints and Returns  from the front end I C Service Agent role , I am unable to maintain any Organization Data .
I am unable to find the Organization Data tab to enter a Service Organization (just like the way in the SAP GUI ). in the IC AGENT role.
I have checked all the components and views for available fields /tabs but there is nothing  available for Organization Data.
Could you please help me , so as to display the organization tab in the Service Order/Complaints  in the front end IC Agent Role.
We have the Organization Tab available in the Personalization Options itself in the SERVICEPRO Role .
Is the SERVICEPRO role better suited for creating Complaints , Returns transaction ?
However I do need the IC AGENT Role for Account Identification and Confirmations which can only be executed through the framework of the IC AGENT Role .
    Please advice.
    Your help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Maroof

    Hello,
    Use customizing path:
    - Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
    - Maintenance and Service Processing
    - Maintenance and Service Orders
    - Functions and Settings for Order Types
    Two sub-options are then relevant:
Create Default Value Profiles for General Order Data
Update an existing profile or create a new one to include your Field Key
Default Values for Task List Data and Profile Assignments
A maintenance profile is assigned to a plant/order type combination
The data in user fields is at operation level.
