Combine digital waveform from two devices

Hi All,
We are using Logic Analyser to generate digital output from DUT and Sourcemeter to measure the current of this output at regular intervals. I am able to obtain the graphs for both from their VIs. Is there a way I can combine these two graphs taking time as x-axis ?
Regards,
Kanu

Hi Kanu,
I don't see any reason why not but we would need to know more about your setup and if post your code that would be a great help.

  • How can I tell if signals from two devices are truly synchronised?

    Hi there,
How does one check that signals from two devices (two separate devices in a single X-series chassis) that should be synchronised actually are?   I am using a PXIe6361 and PXIe4331 on a PXIe-1073, with Labview 2001 SP1 64-bit. All devices are using the Sample Clock from the 4331 device, and an AI Start Trigger, so they should be synchronised.
I thought that writing the signal data to file and checking the time stamp for each column of data would be the most accurate, but I have been told that timestamps are software created and therefore don't reflect the actual time that the signals were acquired by the hardware.  When I do this, the timestamps vary by up to 150ms which is larger than I expected.
If I set the x-axis of the waveform graphs (on the GUI) to "Time" then it appears that the first data sample is taken at different times for the two plots (one plot per device).
If I set the x-axis of the waveform graphs (on the GUI) to "Ignore time stamp" (so that the x-axis just starts from 0 rather than a date-time) then the first data point occurs at "0" for both graphs. However, I'm not sure that this reflects the actual alignment of the signal.
What is the best way to check if signals collected on different devices in the same chassis are actually synchronised?
    Thanks,
    Claire.

    Hi Lynn,
Thanks for your help and for sending the demo.
I understand the concept of how the signals will look if they're not synchronised and your demo shows that nicely. I guess I have been perplexed by someone else telling me that the timestamps in the output file (and following from that I assume timestamps on a waveform graph) do not give an indication of whether signals are synchronised. The reason they gave for this was that the timestamps are manufactured by the software, not the DAQ hardware.  They suggested that I put the setting "ignore waveform timestamps" on my waveform graphs, and then check that both signals come in at the same time (i.e. both start at zero), but I'm not convinced about this.
When I use an analog trigger, neither the timestamps in my output file or on the two waveform graphs are synchronised. If I don't use the trigger, then there is far less disparity in the timestamps in the output file. I've attached two output files here, and my VI.
This is my first attempt to synchronise a voltage module and a strain gauge module on an X-series chassis, so I want to make sure that I'm achieving the best synchronisation that I can, and the difference in behaviour with and without the trigger worries me.
    Thanks,
    Claire.

  • Integrating texts from two devices

I have a number of texts on my old 8220 that I want to keep; I recently got a new 8220 but startd using it before I had transferred the data from the old one so have a new set of texts to keep.
I made a back-up before transferring the data, but it doesn't seem to be possible to have the texts from both devices as the transfer substituted the old set for the new rather than adding them as I expected.
Does anyone know a way to combine the two sets of texts?
    Thanks,
    Mel.

    Hello mel_fox,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Currently there is no method to combine to sets of SMS backups into one group on your BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8220 smartphone. Any time a backup file is restored, it will overwrite the existing database.
    Thank you.

  • Digital waveform from Excel

HI, I need to do a digital waveform.I have three relays and ON/OFF times are in milliseconds written in Excel cells. One cell tells for how many milliseconds relay is ON and  other tells how long it is OFF. I would like all three signal to be in same chart one upon the other. Not to be too easy there are also two delay cells that tells how much later those two other relay go ON compared to the first one.So actually there is 8 different cells which have times in milliseconds.
My explanation isn't so good so I try to sketch it.
          |          |_____  Channel 1
            on1      off1
    ______|        |____ Channel 2
     delay1   on2    off2
    ____|               |_____  Channel 3
    delay2   on3       off3
I have Labwiev 8.5 in use. Thanks
    Mika

    Hi Mika
thats an interesting thing. i´m not sure for what you need the off time. I make an example like i understand it. I ommitted to read from Excel, i choose a 2D Array. See the attachment, pleas. Hope it helps.

  • How Can I Combine the Output from Two CFSEARCH tags

I am trying to query a verity collection TWICE using CFSEARCH
    then combine the results.
The first CFSEARCH instance would search the collection by
treating the entered keywords as a phrase (example: "Digital Photo
Printer") - the 2nd CFSEARCH would then search the same collection
by putting a comma in between each keyword term (example:
Digital,Photo,Printer), thus asking CFSEARCH to look for all of the
keywords in a document but not necessarily right next to each
    other.
The question I have - Is there a way to do two CFSEARCH
queries on a collection and combine the results into one
    <CFOUTPUT QUERY = "ABC"> ?

I was having data type problem on some search terms and I
read a post a while back of someone that had the same problem. He
found a workaround by converting the original data to WDDX then
    back again.

  • Combining iTunes libraries from two users.  Will this work...

My wife and I have use separate Macs in the past but have lately decided to combine into one iMac and keep our Macbook as a computer either can use. We use the same iTunes account, but she has her purchases, I have mine and we have the stuff we both like. I want to consolidate the two folders into one to get back the space from files that are duplicated. It seems like I could do the following:
    1. Import the music from my wife's iTunes library to mine.
    2. Delete the files that are duplicates in iTunes (i.e. "check for duplicates" then delete the ones with today's date.
    3. Remove (not delete) any imported files with today's date.
At this point, I should have a folder with every song we have, but only the ones I want showing up in my library
    4. Open my wife's account account and point her iTunes to the new folder.
Presumably, all the files will be in the same general path location, so her iTunes shouldn't care about whether they were actually the files I had on the iMac or she had on the Macbook (as long as they have the right name and the right location).
Would this then allow us both to maintain our own libraries, but work out of one folder, saving space?
PS It goes without saying that the folder permissions would be set such that we could both Read & Write.

    Hi LaVonne;
Yes it will work. I just did the same thing moving my music from my PowerMac Quad to mt brand new MacBook Pro.

  • Acquire both Analog and Digital waveforms from MSO3034 (Tektronix)

    Hi,
How can I acquire simulataneously both the digital (16) and analog (4) channels from the Tektronix MSO3034 scope?
    Thanks

    Klimovitsky,
I am not familar with how the MSO3034 performs simulataneous acquistion, but the LabVIEW driver for the MSO3034 can configure multiple channels and then read the data from the scope. There are examples with the driver on how to read multiple waveforms.

  • Combination of Data from Two Tables in Report

    Hi,
I am currently building a financial report that pulls data from the activity table. Currently, it displays each activity record, i.e. a date field, a transaction source field, transaction source description and transaction amount. I have another file that pulls saved transactions not part of the activity table. I need to somehow list records from both of these tables together, sorted by date order in the detail section of my report.
I am still relatively new to this, perhaps this is something obvious?  Is there some way of merging the records from the activity table and the saved transaction table via a formula field?
    Thanks,
    Dave

ok...if i'm understanding this correctly, you have a date field in both tables and you want to sort by both these fields as if they were one?
if thats the case, your best bet is probably to create a SQL select statement using the UNION command. In effect creating one table from the two. see http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_union.asp
then, in database expert add a Command using your SQL statement.
    hope that's of use!

  • Combine all payers from two Credit Control Areas (CCA) under one CCA

    Short Description:
My goal is to combine all payers, currently in two separate Credit Control Areas under the same Credit Control Area to leverage to combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct  CCAs.
    Scenario Description.
    Current SAP configuration setup:
Company codes: CN01 (Shanghai) and HK01 (China)
    Control Areas: CN01 and HK01
    Sales Organizations: CN01 and HK01
Customers: the same Customer Numbers in CN01 and HK01.
There are many currently OPEN A/R.
The goal: Combine all CN01 and HK01 payers under the same credit control area to leverage the combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct CN01 and HK01 Credit Control Area.
I would appreciate a solution path  along with suggesting the re-indexing jobs that should be run to fix the open AR.

  • All my music is on my old pc, now i have a mac and all my new books are there... I can't sync my iphone to both computers to load my music and books... how can i sync from two devices?

ALL MY MUSIC IS ON MY OLD PC IN ITUNES. I HAVE A NEW MAC WITH ALL MY NEW BOOKS IN MY ITUNES ON THE MAC. HOW CAN I COMBINE MY TWO ITUNES ACCOUNTS OR SINC MY IPNONE TO BOTH COMPUTERS?

I suggest to copy all your files in your external drive to your Macbook and reformat that external drive to Mac OS Extended Journaled or exFat.
Once you've done that - then copy all the files back to your external drive.
Do not format your external drive if you haven't copied whats in your external drive.  You'll lose everything.

  • How to un-authorize adobe digital edition from other devices?

    Hi,
I have used a few devices that had bluefire or adobe digital installed on it. when i made an attempt to install an e-book on a new device i was informedd that i could not download new content because i have used digital additions on too many devices.
Could someone point me in the right direction in obtaining or un-authorizing those devices that I no longer have in hand.

When you deactivate a device, the used activation is not added back to the pool.
How do I increase the number of activations if I run out?
You can go to this Adobe page to increase the number of activations: http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/.

  • Acquire continuous waveforms from two channels on a scope

    Hello,
I want to acquire a continuous waveform on each separate channel on my scope, and to see each waveform on it's own graph.
I tried to do it, you can see the VI that I uploaded...
The problem is whan I run the VI - it works, but each graph refreshs in it's time and it doesn't happen simultaneously.
It's a problem because it creates a situation that I can loose a waveform because while one graph is refreshing the other one is not refreshing.
    What can I do?

You are using serial communication. This sort of communication is very slow. So I doubt you will not get much data in real time. You are probably only getting segments of the realtime curve.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

  • How does one combine the history from two different profiles, so that my current profile will show both my old and my new history

    No details

    You can't do that.
The best that you can do is to copy and paste the history items to a bookmarks folder and export the bookmarks to an HTML file.
Then you can import that file in the other profile.
If both profiles are on the same computer and are open at the same time then you can use the clipboard to do the C&P.

  • I use an iMac 10.6.8 with iPhoto '09 to download digital images from Canon DSLRs. Until the last two weeks there has been no trouble whatever importing images by  a USB connection from either camera to the Mac. Now the process will not kick in. Any ideas?

I use an Mac OSX 10.6.8 with iPhoto 09 to download digital images from two Canon DSLRs. Until the last week, there has been no problem whatever in launching the import procedure once the USB connection has been connected and the camera switched on. Now the process will not kick in at all for either camera.  I can't find a solution through iPhoto help or from other sources.
Any ideas to fix?  (I admit I have not tested the USB cable at this time).

    What does "kick in" mean?
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
    Post back with the result.
