"Combine" Function Fails on Adobe Export
What is wrong at Adobe Export that every time I try to Combine files after some effort to get the files in the right order to combine. Diagnostic comes back almost right away that the function failed and that I should come back later. This has been going on for over 24 hours. What to do?
Do you use Adobe Acrobat?

Adobe Reader Search function fails
@@I'm using Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10 under Windows 7 64-Bit SP1 with all actual updates. When i try to search any word or Phrase of contained in the text of a specific PDF File, then the search Fails. It does not come up with the search item i have keyed in. I did not misspell the search item and it is definitely contained in the text, but the search function does not find it. i am absolutely surethat the search item is in text Format and it is contained in the PDF file, because i can Access and search it when i open this PDF file on an iPad for instance. there it works, but not in my Windows envioenment.
I guess that this problem will not be completely new for you, because other users are discussing this Problem in the Internet as well.
Can you help me with an answer and hopefully with a recommendation on how to overcome this Problem.
thanks in advance and
Kind regards
Guenther
p.s.:
sorry, i am new on thjis platform... how when aproximatrely does one get an answer here?Hello Pat,
i followed your advise and have used the link contained in point 3 of
your recommendations --- for reference see your response as appended
below (https://cloud.acrobat.com/).
So, in case i made no mistake (?), then you can access the PDF file we
are talking about when you follow this link here:
https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/0f9d2ce4-b4b9-4223-8fd2-723441d7d2ab***
This PDF file contains a description of an olympus camera. When you open
this PDF file please go to page 6.
Directly under the picture on top of the page (which shows a dark blue
car driving from left to right) you can read the word "Mitziehmodus"
(without parantheses). This german word is one of those search items
which the PDF search function of my PDF reader installation does not
find. There are many other words the search function does not find as
well, but let us use this word (Mitziehmodus) as an example to
demonstrate the malfunction as i experience it on my pc.
Meanwhile i have installed a completely new windows-system 7 from
scratch. The PDF reader (11.0.10) is currently the only installed
software. I made this windows 7 installation only to assure that there
is no other software eventually influencing the search function. But the
search function fails again when searching for this word "Mitziehmodus".
One remark still to your statements concerning accented characters.
Character like ä, ö, ü or ß are quite normal characters in writing
german language text. But these characters can not be found also! In
general it does not make much sense to serach for a single character (at
least in my understanding). Searching for ä or ö or ü results in finding
something completely meaningless. But this behaviour shows additionally
that there is something wrong with the search function as it ist
implemented in Adobe Reader.
In general i am convinced that this PDF file will be correct ,
because i can search any search item and find correct search results
when i access this file on my iPad regardless in what so ever combination.
i hope that you can access the problem PDF file following the link i
sent you above.
And i would be happy wehen you could find thze reason for my search
problems.
thank you so far. i appreciate to heare from you soon.
kind regards
Günther

I purchased Adobe Export in order to capture one photograph from a book that was on PDF. I read your information online prior to purchasing and there was no mention of any size limitation. While I knew the book was large, there was no reason to think that there would be any problem. I send the book the Adobe Export - which took quite a while given the large number of pages. Eventually I got an error message seeming to indicate that the document was too large - and you gave me the option to purchase another product (for another $20) that would appear to allow me to do what I wanted. This is a con game. I'm not going to spend another $20 because you failed to inform me of your own product limitations in advance. I want my original payment returned since your product does not do what it advertises.
I have seen obtained a copy of the photo thru other means.
I did not try to take a screen shot.
The author died about 85 years ago, and the book is a bit older than that, so it is all past copyright and I'm fairly certain the author had nothing to do with the pdf file. It is simply a matter that the book is around 800 books long. The PDF file alone is 26 megs and normally the equilavlent Word file would be dramatically larger.
Your product did not work. -
Cineware C4D Render Fails in Adobe Media Encoder
I'm trying to render an After Effects composition using Cineware and a very basic C4D Lite layer.
It renders fine directly in the AE render queue, but hangs and eventually fails in Adobe Media Encoder.
The error message is:
Encoding Failed
Export Error
Error compiling movie.
Unknown error.
I'm using Windows 7, Adobe Creative Cloud. I've opened the default TCP port 5030 in Windows Firewall & tried disabling Windows Firewall altogether. I've tried rendering with both CUDA and software only. I've cleared my render cache and restarted several times. I've had no problems rendering in Media Encoder until I try to enable a Cineware layer. It makes a sheep noise.Has anyone successfully rendered Cineware using Windows 7 platform ?
Is there a particular port I should try besides the default 5030? And do I need to set this port somewhere in Adobe Media Encoder CC settings or just under the Cineware effects settings?
There's no reason why this shouldn't at least be documented somewhere. I'm using a brand new clean vanilla install of Windows 7 and Creative Cloud with Intel Core I7 + NVidia GPU.
"Unknown Error" to me says some code was sitting in a huge "try/catch" type block with the exception not being handled. -
Adobe PDF Pack vs Adobe Export PDF?
Is Adobe PDF Pack THE SAME AS Adobe Export PDF? Is the PDF Pack needed for Adobe Connect?
HI Aladybt,
Adobe PDF Pack and Export PDF are two different subscription.
ExportPDF: This subscription would convert PDF file to different formats (DOCx, Xslx, PPTx, RTF)
http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1511
PDF Pack: This would do all the task that ExportPDF can do, additionally, it can convert the other formats to PDF as well and also combine multiple PDFs into One PDF.
http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1496
Adobe Connect is a different application and PDF pack is not required for that.
I hope i'm able to answer your question, let me know if you have any other question

Replicating database, a function fails in replica
Hi all,
I'm trying to duplicate a database. I exported/imported some schemas to make it work with no problems, but I have a package function failing in its execution.
The function has a cursor used in a for statement. The query looks like:
SELECT number_field as field1, trim(mun_nom2_part||' '||mun_nom2) AS field2, varchar2_4length_field as field3
from table1 ...
union
SELECT number_field as field1, trim(mun_nom2_part||' '||mun_nom2) AS field2, varchar2_4length_field as field3
from table2 ...
union
SELECT number_field as field1, trim(mun_nom2_part||' '||mun_nom2) AS field2, varchar2_4length_field as field3
from table3 ...
order by field2
Results look like:
0 ADMINISTRATOR 0

1421397 Hracolters 7370
16919 Grntdetf t Xrists 7446

2492617 Hyxte Ivloya ef Plahogtt 8993It executes OK in the original database, but it fails in the replica with an ORA-06502 error. If I execute the select, it's OK on both databases and the result in both is equal, but when looping the cursor it fails in the 7th row in the copy.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Summary:
With the combination of Windows 7 and Quicktime 7.x, Quicktime would fail to write/export to server windows share with "Couldn't create output movie storage" and "Error -43: file not found" errors
Steps to Reproduce:
Trying to render to Quicktime files using network shared folders as a destination:
Unable to open file. (-1610153459)
The funny thing: it only happens when there are at least two shared folders mapped on the workstation, and the destination folder used for the rendered movie is not the first one.
If we have only two mapped drives, F: and G: for example, and we try to render something to F:, everything works fine and no error is showed. But, when the destination is the G: drive, rendering never works, the error is showed, but a zero-byte file is created in F: (!!). ODD! If we remap F: drive with a different letter, but a letter BEFORE G:, the problem always happens. If we remap drive F: to any letter AFTER G:, making G: the first available network drive, rendering works. Also, simply unmapping F: and leaving G: as the only connected network folder makes render to work.
We do not have a D: drive in our Windows 7 workstations, they are all C: only.
It is a 100% reproducible problem. We tried with three different Active Directory networks and workstations. It has all of the features of a software bug.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Expected Results:
Error -43: file not found
Actual Results:
The workaround seems to be to use the full path to the servers instead of the mapped mount point (ie //server/z/... instead of Z:/...
Regression:
All versions of quicktime 7 in combination with windows 7 client and more than one smb share point mapped in a letter.
Notes:
All software that uses quicktime movie exports showed this error. Not sure what file your are referencing? Thanks for your suggestion, however, it's not relavant.
It renders fine if you render to either the UNC path or the first mapped drive.
i.e. If you have two mapped drives G: and H:
they both point to \\fileserver\share1\folder
If you render to H: it will fail, if you render to G: it works! Same path, same user, same permissions.
The only difference is H comes after G, so it fails... BUG. If it was to do with anything else, underscores, permissions etc, it would fail on both. -

Error in using adobe export pdf
When I converted , using adobe export pdf, a pdf file into Word I found that some of the diagrams and words on the diagram did not transfer. How do I correct this?
Try disabling the 'Recognize text' function. It could be that the OCR engine tried to identify your diagrams as text (which probably wouldn't go so well. )

I am really new to Adobe and Creative Cloud and its logic so I hope someone can help me understand it. My objective is to get my scanned PDF docs converted to text document files so I can open and edit in Word.
I have scanned my documents into a pdf format. I then dropped the pdf file into my Adobe Export from PDF. It exported and converted them to docx files just fine. When I click on the created docx file I have the correct number of pages but they are completely blank. I don't have any converted text. Am I missing a step? I have also dropped these files into my Word with the same result. Are you still experiencing a problem with Adobe Send? We inadvertently introduced a problem earlier today (now fixed), but you reported your issue was last night.
Anyway, can you check again?
