Combine my RAM with RAM of the same brand but lower MHz or another brand with exact same specifics?

Hello,
I want to upgrade the RAM of my HP Pavilion g6 2053sd (upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8, 64-bit) from 4gb to 8gb.
It currently has a Samsung DDR3 SODIMM 4gb, 1600 MHz.
I can't find the exact same module. The two closest ones are:
1. Samsung DDR3 SODIMM 4gb, 1333 MHz.
2. Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 4gb, 1600 MHz.
Can I combine these with my current module and if yes, which one would be best?

I'm not sure iBA reacts well to this type of editing, not to mention the cumbersome nature of trying to bring everything together in general.
I'd suggest a workflow where one book is handed off, instead. That, or, let the individuals involved create their basic content in Pages, then when ready, use iBA's Insert Pages Chapters menu to string them together. Best to work in a linear fashion and avoid adding/removing/adding/moving portions, etc.
If you must have separate authors, be sure to use the identical template and have them all properly trained up before going forward - trying this as a learning experience may result in an off-putting experience otherwise , with more time spent on chasing knots than on expressing writing skills, etc.

Does 1067mhz ram is the same model with the 1066mhz ram

Just noticed that the RAM speed in my (MBP 15 inch 2.66 i7 - mid 2010 version) specs is 1067MHz and from what i know is all the ram that are available in the market are 1066 mhz, so is it the 1066mhz and 1067mhz is the same or is different model. Just curious if i get the 1066 ram to replace on my mcp will it cause any problem?

I'm not 100% sure about this one, but afaik this difference is simply an issue of different rounding behaviours. The real frequency will probably be somewhere 'round 1066,66 MHz, which is interpreted as 1067 by your system profiler.
So if you make sure the timings are the same, you'll be just fine. To be on the safe side, just open your MB and have a look on the label of the RAM that's already inside, and buy similar bars.

IS RAM installation the same for all new iMacs?

Go to Crucial <http://www.crucial.com/store/listproductline.aspx?cat=ram&mfr=apple&submit=go> and find which Macs you have on their listings. That will tell you what RAM is in each.
If both are 800 MHz SDRAM, then they might be of similar configurations and could be swapped.

What are the sizes of the pages in the two files? You can check this by hovering the mouse at the bottom left of the PDF.

I bought 26 new songs under my work e-mail and now i can't copy them to my i-pod because it has another music library on it. How can i combine both user id's to the same purchased account

I have 2 user id's with apple, i bought 26 songs from my laptop recently using my work e-mail. I plug my i-pod to sync it and it says that my i-pod is tuned with another library. i don't want to erase the songs I have already because they are about 760 and the new ones are 26 only. how can I combine both user id's and consolidate all the music into one user id?
everytime i try to do something it asks me to reset the password. I have done it already 6 times.
there is no phone # to call.

Alright, please follow these steps in order to get it working properly again.
Please change your Apple ID back to your old email address (that you used as Apple ID before) here: http://appleid.apple.com
Then go to all your devices - iPhones, iPads, Mac etc. - ("Settings > iCloud") and delete your iCloud account from this devices (+ turn off Find My iPhone, but I guess it will ask you that anyway)
After that go back to http://appleid.apple.com sign in again, and now change your Apple ID again to your new email address.
Finally, set up your iCloud account on all your devices again.
Now, everything should working properly again.

Combine 720 and 1080 video of the same performance?

In early November I have been asked to video a performance. I have 720 and a 1080 cameras. What can I expect when I edit. I will be using jus one camera for audio source. I am using OS 10.8.5. Plan to use iMovie, but Final Cut Express is available.

Hi does any body knows about problems in combining synchronous and asynchronous IO on the same file descriptor? It appears that I may miss SIGIOs in that case.

I don't think there is any real easy way to do an insert. If writing to a file, I would use a FileWriter, a FileOutputStream, or a RandomAccessFile class. I don't know of any class that will automatically do an insert so you might have to write your own method that does this. This is pretty easy: use RandomAccessFile might be the best for most situations for doing this (ie, if you are inserting many times at different locations in the file). Just copy all the bytes from the point in the file you want to insert to the end of the file, and then write your bit, and then rewrite all the read bytes to the file again. Depending on how many times you are writing to the file and how big the file is, you may want to keep the file in memory at all times because writing to disk is extremely slowwww. If the file is huge, and you are inserting seldomly, then do what I said above. If the point of insertion is closer to the start of the file, then it might be a good idea to do the above but instead of copying the bytes from the point of insertion to the end of the file, copy the bytes from the start of the file to the point of insertion.

WebI:Creating a minus query from data providers not using the same universe

Hi there. A client of ours wishes to use Combined Query on multiple universes in the same WebI report. So far, I have heard it is not feasible in WebI. I know it is possible in DeskI. Even the sub-query option is limited to just one universe in WebI. So, I am stuck.
Is there a workaround to creating a minus query from data providers not using the same universe in WebI?

what are the Datasources ? Usually when you create a Sub Query you can choose a seperate Universe.
Maybe if you only see one Universe you only have the rights for this Universe ?!.

well in order to take advantage of 64 bit processors then you need 4 gigs of ram, and do you expect apple to sell a 64 bit ipad that has 4 gigs of ram for the same price today? with all the specfications of the ipad ? maybe in 5 years but not today. if you want the cheaper tft and a lower resolution screen of 1200x800 there is a single tablet computer on the market of 28 tablets that has 3 gigs of ram,.
oh my mistake, there are 2 . the other tablet is 2500 x 1600 , but it is another tft screen

If you just got it back and it isn't fixed or something else is wrong with it take it back and have them do the repair correctly.

What make of RAM should be in a MacPro and would they all be the same make in a new computer?

My MacPro is only just over 3 years old and 6 of the 8RAM have stopped functioning.
I put the question - how long should RAM last - and had some replies.
One of the replies led me to wonder what make of RAM should be or should I expect to be in a New MacPro.
Should they all have been the same make when new?
2 of the 6 broken RAM are hynix which I believe are used by Apple. I don't know what the make of the 2 functioning RAM are?
The other 4 defunk RAM were made in Singapore with a logo - an oval with an M running through it. I can't find any reference to this on the web.
I am in discussion with the supplier of my Mac so any information would be of help.
8Gb of RAM should last longer than 3years.
The other downer/bad luck was that the Apple care package I bought ran out in January just a few months ago although this slowing of my computer started before then but only bad enough last week to have it checked out.
So disappointed with MacPro. I expected better.
I am having to go back to a PC which the Mac replaced which is still functioning after 7 years so......Mac or PC??????
At this moment in time the PC is proving more reliable and much cheaper!!!!

The cpu heat sinks are not attached to the ram and this is off topic so I am not going to debate it further with you. If you have a mac pro open it up and look inside for youself. If you don't stop speculating.
I should add these dimms do have their own heat sinks but they are physically part of each dimm itself.

I they both spec with 1600MHz DDR3 memory; four SO-DIMM
AND
I just took out 32G out of a late 2012 iMac and replaced the 8G that my new
Retina 5K iMac came with and all is working FINE.....
BTW the Retina iMac display is incredible .......

C2D MBP's using the same RAM as the CD MBP's?

Nope. I just brought my C2D home and it's the 15" 2.33 version. The 2GB that apple now includes wont allow you to add any more without removing one of the ram modules from the memory banks. Both are filled with 1GB chips, I wanted to add my extra 1GB from my 17" MBP but I couldn't to my dismay, as apple did the same thing here as they did with the little macbooks. Both slots are filled!!!!
