Combining Clips into one

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I am having a great time using imovie and idvd with older tapes. I just imported a tape off a new camcorder, so now imovie breaks the movie into small clips for each time the camera was turned on and off. I make idvd projects so I don't want a lot of chapters. Is there a way to combine clips to make a longer single clip? Thank you in advance

some nomenclatura:
iM does correct: every new scene, it detects, results in a new CLIP.
a clip is not a CHAPTER
if you import direct into timeline, you get dozends/hundreds of clips... but NO capter.
you have to set chapters BY HAND in the iDVD dialog of iM.
exporting that "movie" with its dozends/hundreds of clips result in one SINGLE "dvd-movie WITHOUT chapters.
no combining needed....

The simple answer is to put the clips together in a project in the desired order and export (oops, the new word is share [YUK!]) a master file.
But maybe you should say a little more about the clips to determine whether the answer I've given is relevant to yor situation.

In Aperture the only way to combine movie clips is to create a basic slideshow, but you will get better results (stabilization, effects, etc) in iMovie or Quicktime 7, if you have it.
In Aperture:
Create a slideshow with the "Classic" theme: Select the two video clips in the Browser and use: File >New > Slideshow
Set the Default Slideshow settings (Transitions, Text, background) as you like them.
Arrange the clips in the Time Line in the order as you want them.
Press the "Export" button in the upper right corner to export a new video. Reimport it to Aperture.

Since iMovie '08 automatically centers files and currently has no control settings that allow the user to offset or displace the clips, this effect cannot be done from within this versions of iMovie. You can, of course do this externally using QT Pro, Final Cut, or Studio.

How do I combine Projects into one project?

I like to make small projects while travelling and post on facebook. When home, I would like to combine them into one longer project for my Apple TV.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you can copy (copy all) the clips from one project and paste them into another clip, but music and titles will not come with that. If you export one project as a .mov file and then reimport it into iMovie as suggested, that will easily work, but you wont be able to edit that movie's music or titles.

You can drag and drop photos from one Event to another. Or you can flag them and use the Events: Add Flagged photos to Select Event.

I don't think so. The only other ID I have is a developer id, and I didn't get that until several months after I got the phone. In addition purchases I made from the App Store onthe phone would sync up with It unes on the Mac meaning it would be the same id.
However I looked at the AppStore on my phone while it was connected to the Mac with iTunes open, and now the balance has changed to the same as the others.

Such as, Slash's new album. Track 1 is "Slash Feat. Ian Astbury", track 2 is "Slash Feat. Ozzy Osbourne" and so on.
To fix this, select all the tracks on that album, right-click > Get Info, and say YES to changing multiple items.
Put "Slash" in the *Album Artist* field (for this example, of course).
Make sure it is the *Album Artist* field, not the plain Artist field.
