Combining multiple pages to a single page

I have a pdf file of 12 pages, each page a single photo. I would like to place 4 photos on a single page so that I end up with 3 pages with a photo on each quarter page. I tried doing it by printing to Adobe PDF multiple pages per sheet. I tried this in windows photo viewer and in Acrobat. Both times the 'printing' got stuck about 3/4 into page 1.
Is there a more straightforward way to do what I'm trying to achieve?

Can't print a photo multiple times on a single page

I just installed iLife 8 and am trying to print one 3X5 photo multiple times on a single page. When I consulted the help menu in iPhoto, I found what I thought was the answer. When I followed the instructions, I hit a snag because I don't have the Photos Per Page pop-up menu it references. Any ideas on how I can do this to save paper?

If you have a favorite photo you want to share with many people, you can print multiple copies of that photo on a single page.
To print one photo multiple times on a single page
Select the photo you want to print.
Click the Print button.

If you want to make the photo a custom size, select Custom.
Click the Customize button.

Select “Multiple of the same photo per page” from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu.
iPhoto will zoom and crop the photo to fit the space available. To make a photo appear full-frame, Control-click the photo and choose “Fit Photo to Frame Size” from the menu that appears.

Well don't I feel stupid! I just installed iLife '08 and assumed that it would tell me right away if I needed any updates. I found and installed the needed updates (7.1.1), I got the right settings drop down menu to print multiples on one page. Thanks for your help

Print multiple pages on a single page in word or from a PDF

I need to print multiple pages on a single page from a PDF (ie: pages 1 and 2 onto a single page, pages 3 and 4 on a single page etc.)
Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

The title of my question is the title of the page in iPhoto 8 help.

It says (a bit shortened) 1. Select photo 2. Click print button 3. Select paper size 4. Select print size 5 Click Customize button 6 Click Settings button 7. Select "Multiple of same photo per page from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu. 8 Click OK 9 Click Print.
I can not find the pop-up menu referred to in Step 7. There are two "settings" buttons - neither produce a Photos Per Page pop-up menu. Settings appears if you click a double arrow to the right in the lower margin but only deals with font issues and "Print Settings" does not offer such a pop-up.
I am using Leopard on a PowerBook G4 and just bought and installed the newest iLife 8.

When you click on the Customize button there will be a Setting button in the next window. Click on it and in the drop down window that comes up will be the option to print multiple photos of the same photo per page.
Select that option and click OK. You'll get the spinning cursor for a few seconds as iPhoto creates the multiple copies on the page you selected. Be sure that the print size is small enough so that you can have multiple copies of it on the paper size you selected.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Is it really true that EA CC 2014 does NOT support multiple animations on a single page?

My page has multiple animations that I have spent days designing, and now my developer is telling me we can only use one.
Is this seriously true? A lack of detail on this issue will surely drive me to use another product like Hype or Google...

Hiding filenames when combining multiple files into a single .pdf

I'm fairly new to this Acrobat X. I'm trying to assemble my portfolio to distribute to employers but I cannot seem to get rid/hide the filenames in the final pdf file. I was using the option to 'combine multiple files into a single pdf' because I was compiling images and documents to a single readable pdf file. I got all that done but once I open it, I'd see that each page would still contain the original file names rather than page numbers - which I prefer not to have employers see for the sake of tidiness (and I refuse to use the Adobe portfolio because it's not really efficient on space or design. I prefer a simple page-by-page pdf). So I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to hide my file names, change them into page numbers or getting rid of them all together so the 'Table of Contents' in the pdf preview mode would not show anything, I would really much appreciate it.

Well, when the .pdf is in the final, deliverable form; I open it in Mac preview mode and the sidebar is always extended showing a 'table of contents' rather than having each document in the pdf file have a number designating a page name, it shows each individual filename the pdf is composed of. Not too sure about bookmark, though. Thanks for the reply!

Combining multiple lists into a single list

I have created 5 different lists within the same sharepoint site. These lists have some common fields among them for example each list has same fields such as "Country", "Unit", "Review Name" etc. I now want to create a single
list that will have show only the common fields present in each list. Could you please advise if this can be done and if so how?

To have a full fledged synchronization between 5 lists will be very complicated.
If the 6th list is a read-only / view only, I would recommend you to create Lists 1, 2,3,4 and 5 as a custom content type.
Then you can put a Content Query Web Part that filters out your custom content type and combines the content from the three lists.
or create a workflow to update the data when new item is added in other lists

Append or combine multiple IDOCs into a single IDOC file

We are implementing multiple new payment types that will generate IDOC files for us to send to the bank. To keep the cost to the minimum, the requirement is to combine multiple IDOCs to a single file.

One way you can do this is generate each report in PDF or Postscript, and then use Adobe Acrobat Distiller to combine the files into one PDF document.

Since there were no answers, I will take a stab at a reponse. For the 2nd method, I suspect you could simply select the print or press job options to get the desired results or turn off "use local fonts" in Acrobat. If you check the font list, the fonts are probably not embedded and that is likely the problem.
I noticed that you have both Reader and Acrobat installed and that might cause some conflict, but should not be the issue here. If you were to uninstall Reader, you would have to repair Acrobat. The conflict here is that you might have problems with the one opening when you want the other. If it works for you, then don't worry about it.
For technique 1, I suspect you may be using IE 9 that has apparently been a problem since it came out. I have refused to install it. However, it may simply be that PDF Maker does not work correctly with your browser, or got deactivated and needs to be allowed to run in your browser (IE I am assuming).

Combining Multiple CD Tracks into Single MP3?

Hi all,
Does anyone know how, in burning tracks from a CD using iTunes (or any other program, for that matter), I could combine multiple tracks into a single MP3 file? I have a particular scene from a Wagner opera that spans multiple tracks, and I'd love to be able to get it into a single file!

How can I sort multiple tables on a single page as if they were one continuous table?

I have a single narrow column of numbers that cover multiple pages. I would like to do either of the following: break that long single column into multiple colums that fit on one page and are still able to be sorted in that arrangement OR sort the long column as it is (spread out over multiple pages) and then break that long sorted column down into multiple segments that can be placed onto a single page.
I have been sorting the long single column, then copy and pasting sections from the column onto a new page so that I can print them on a single page.
I am hoping there is a more elegant method to do this.

Sorting is one of the things that changed between Numbers '09 and Numbers 3. If you are on Mountain Lion I want to assume you are using '09. Is that true?
This will work in '09 and 3. Table one is a single column with entries 1-89.
A2 ==INDEX(Table 1 :: $A,ROW())
B2 =INDEX(Table 1 :: $A,ROW()+35)
C2 =INDEX(Table 1 :: $A,ROW()+70)
The formulas are filled down.
You can adjust the formulas in B and C to reflect how many rows fit on your page.

Autoflow multiple frames on a single page

This seems like an easy question, but I can't get it to work.
I have three text frames set up on a master page, linked 1->2, 2->3
I want to autoflow a document through the three frames, adding pages as necessary to the end of the document.
No matter which autoflow function I choose when placing a text document, InDesign fills two text frames and stops. It never fills the third frame on the page, and it doesn't add any pages.
If I load the cursor from the second frame and try to autoflow into the third, it just fills the third frame and stops. I think this is because I've already modified the master by filling the first two frames - is that why I can't flow more than two frames to begin with?
This in InDesign CS3 on a Mac, fwiw.

To recap: the issue seems to be that some older (i.e., Mac 2004) Word files do not import properly into InDesign CS3 when trying to autoflow placed text across multiple NARROW frames on a single page.
The workaround is to save the Word file in a newer version. I'm not sure if exporting an RTF from Word Mac 2004 will solve the problem.

I'm working on something similar - it seems simple, yet elusive to narrow down to the minimum necessary to reproduce it reliably. It's not a bug. All the effort to find the irreducible minimum cause reported here is what struck a note for me.
I'm wondering if anyone here who has a source file that fails in CS3, can test it in CS5. If it fails in CS5, it's kind of a bug, even though it seems dependent on the peculiarities of a rare file format from the past. Perhaps, it doesn't happen with every such file, only those with the long run of unhyphenated and unbreakable text that can't wrap and gets stuck at the thread's connection to the next frame. A super-niche bug.
It might be worthwhile to test by exporting the Word Mac 2004 file to RTF, then placing it. Some of us with long memories - both a blessing and an irritation - might remember that there was at least one version of Word that couldn't open some of its own files that were saved to supposedly compatible non-Word file formats.
If problem does persist in CS5, please report it as a bug.
