I have several email lists in my address book I need to consolidate them into one email list.
How would I get all of those different email lists into one email list?

Hi Sargenie!
Just create a new group and then in the main Address Book window you can just drag the entries you want into the new group you've created!

We received our Mac the first of the year. We previously had iPhone's and had all our contact on them. When it can time to set everything up we thought, ok, plug it in and it will work find, everything will import and sync and the world will be a great place. Wrong. My wife did the set up with the itunes account, that went smooth but the contact list is the problem. It up loaded once and then I decided to do something with it and it was erased. My fault I know. I tried to just upload the contact again from the iPhone but they were erased from my wife iPhone. The setting were check "Sync add book, all" I've changed the setting in itunes so they don't sync so i don't lose them. Any thought would be helpful.

Multiple contact lists: how do I merge them into one main list?

PLEASE HELP! I travel between two African countries regurlarly, and every time I do, I have to swap simcards (I do not roam). But, everytime I do, I find a new contact list has been created somehow in my Contacts.
I have about 7 entries now per contact as a result of this, and I'm desperate to merge them all into one main list. I'm also updating contact details, but have trouble saving them as my phone does not allow "duplicate names" (an option I selected), thus I have to delete all the other silly copies before I can change/update a contact. I did this because otherwise I don't know which contact (of the seven) has the updated info, forcing me to delete the others so I can keep track!
Please help!
1.) how do I merge the contact lists into one main list?

You can connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your PC and go to Device > Delete > Select Data > and specifically select which Address Book databases you want to delete.
I would recommend that your FIRST do a complete backup of your BlackBerry while in the Desktop Software.

Assuming the scans are all PDFs, here is one easy way:
Open the first PDF in Preview.
Duplicate (File > Duplicate) if you want to preserve the original.
Choose View > Contact Sheet.
Drag and drop the other files from the Finder into the Contact Sheet window. You can select the files one at a time or multiple files at once.
Arrange the contact sheet icons in the desired order.
Save.

To clarify, I want to be able to make a flie I can take to a photo printing place (not for my own printer) so they can print it and I crop it. The place I used to print at used to print an 8"x12" for the same price as 8"x10" (now they may only do 8x10 and I would need to keep the ratio the same so it would be two 3.3"x10" pics on an 8x10"). Do the contacts that are not in iCloud belong to an external account such as Gmail, Yahoo or an Exchange account? Or, do they belong to On My iPhone?

I received pictures in a dozen emails and saved each picture into one file in .pages. I did not import the photos before doing this and now iPhoto won't recognize the pictures because they are in a .pages file. How do I get the pics to iPhoto?

I received a dozen pictures in a few emails and I saved them all into one file in pages. I just copied and pasted. I do not have the originals any longer. Iphoto will not permit me to import the pictures as it does not recognize a .pages file, nor can I simply click and drag from the pages document to iphoto nor from pages to the desktop to iphoto. How can I save each picture I guess back into a jpeg and then import them into iphoto or have i lost them to a pages document forever? This is urgent as I need the pictures made into a book on iphoto for work by Friday!!! Please advise! Thank you.

Locate the Pages document wherever it's located on your computer and click once on it to highlight it.
Go to File > Duplicate to make a backup copy of the file.
Click once again on the file to highlight it.
Go to File > Get Info
In the "Name & Extension" category remove the ".pages" extension and put in ".zip".
Close the info window and double-click the now renamed pages file (zip file now).It will decompress into a folder which contains all the base components including all the images you added. These can be dragged onto the iPhoto icon to import them.

Combining 2 fill in form pdf's into one document

I have created several fill in forms for my quality system in my business.
I open an empty form as a template, fill it in with data, then save it under a unique file name. For example, form1.pdf would be filled in and then saved as completedform1.pdf, then refilled in with different data and saved as completedform2.pdf. Each form contains the same fields but different, unique, data.
I would like to take completedform1 and completedform2 and merge them together into one master file. This file would be named, for example, as masterform1.pdf
When I insert completedform1.pdf into masterform.pdf, everything works fine. However, the problem occurs when I insert completedform2.pdf. As soon as the second form inserts, all of the data in the fields of completedform2 switches to match that of completedform1. I believe this is because the fields have the same names (obviously) and so Adobe thinks the data should match. However, I do not want it to change, each form (once filled out) becomes it;s own unique document. I would have thought doing a save as and giving it a unique name would take care of this, but apparently not.
What do I have to do to "cement" the data on each form so that I can combine them yet maintain their individual data integrity?

Combining multiple weights of the same font into one family

I downloaded (legally) a font family, containing multiple weights. However, when I try to install it on Font Book, each weight comes out as a separate font. Is there a way to combine all the weights into one font?

Not without a font editor so you can give each font an identical family name.

I have a mac and when I read my emails, I find that emails are automatically rolled up into one, attaching all the emails under one 'group'. How do I stop this grouping?

I check my emails on my mac, but find that emails which form part of an ongoing discussion, or where I have just clicked Reply to an existing email in my inbox (as opposed to creating a new email from scratch and rekeying an email address or using my contact book) all group together. So when I am looking for en email that I know I received say on a Friday, it will be grouped under another email that I received today, simply because I am emailing that same person - even it is about something entirely different.
Is there a change of settings I can do so that every email appears as a standalone (boring I know but this suits my fling style!)
Any guidance appreciated!
PS It is Mac OS X, version 10.7.5

If you go to View Menu in Mail, you can uncheck "Organize by Conversation" - I believe it is checked by default.

How do I copy an email link and paste it into my email?

Just got a hand-me-down MacBook Pro. I need to send an email to someone who's posted an ad on Craigslist. How do I, a) copy the link for their email; and, b) paste it into the address field of my Outlook mail?
If I just click on the email link in CL, the computer wants to direct me to some default email client, which I'm not using. So I want to copy and paste the address.

From the OS Help menu:
Copy from one document to another
Open both documents, select the text, picture, or movie you want to copy, and then drag it to the other document.
If you can’t drag an item from a document window, select the item and choose Edit > Copy. Then click in the other document window and choose Edit > Paste.

Combining two reports with headings and body into one

I currently have two seperate XML reports for Oracle projects. One report prints out all the Labor information. One prints out Expense information. The users want those two reports married into one. So if there was Labor data in the XML that would report would print first, break to a new page and Expense data in the XML the second report would print.
I have that working. Now what I need to find out how is how not to print anything if, for example, the XML had no Labor data. The way I have it configured now, even if no Labor data it is still printing the headings for the Labor.
Any suggestions?

The report has parameters of project number and draft invoice number. The XML has always had both labor and expense on it.I orginally created 2 templates. One that only picked up labor and one that only picked up expense.
Now they want to just run one report and if both labor and expense print both out on same report, but seperating them.
BI Publisher 5.6.3
27459.xml is an example of xml that has no labor on it. just expense. so would just want the expense to print but the labor headers are showing up.
27267_Invoice1_Labor2.xml is an example of xml that has both labor and expense.
I you can look at that would be great.
How do I paste? Can I just email you?
