Combo Marketing Program (3 or more products)

Why dont Apple support Combo marketing of their devices.
By Combo I mean - an Iphone, Ipad and Macbook get an Ipod Free or may be 10% discount on over all purchase.
A suggestion for apple which I think might boost the selling of apple products all around world.
this way a user say me - I need a Macbook pro and Iphone. and donot really need an Ipad.
So I would try to go for combo for getting Ipod touch free and may use my mom or dad to use Ipad and gift Ipod to my younger brother.
There would be 1000's of similar buyers who would need 2 or 3 devices and this deal might make them buy all of them.
I know that people buy apple anyways but what this would do is-
1. One who didn't really want to buy an Ipad went for it and bought it. So more the item is seen in the market its good for apple.
2. Person might be hesitant to go for Iphone, ipad and Ipod touch at the same time. So this way we are eventually selling them all 3 at same time.
3. Deals always more crowd.
Please do let me know what do we think about the suggestion. I might not be aware of similar programs if Apple hass already launched any.

These forums are for technical questions, not discussions about Apple marketing strategies, so this is not a discussion we should get into here. You can suggest such a scheme to Apple via their feedback pages:

but unless Apple starts having difficulties selling their products (which they are not), such a promotion is unlikely except perhaps in special circumstances (such as the "back to school" promotions Apple offers in the summer in some countries). You can suggest it, though.

How to make "More Products" from Answers visible

I am using OBIEE 10.3.4.2.
I developed a solution that requires "Delivers". On my developers' box (Windows 7) everything is visible. Under "More Products", I see:
Delivers
BI Publisher
Marketing
Disconnected Analytics and
Download Oracle BI for Microsoft Office.
The moment I put my RPD and Catalog in System Test--which uses https:// and on a UNIX server, I can now only see:
Download Oracle BI for Microsoft Office.
which makes me suspect that their is a setting/configuration that is preventing me from seeing these products.
Can someone tell me how to make these products visible? What settings do I need to change to make them visible?

I shut the services both in SYS Test and my DEV box.
Zipped the Catalog.
Deleted all the old catalogs from my DEV box.
unzipped the new Catalog
started the services and I can see everything under " More Products"
Shut down the services
Moved back the Catalog to Sys Test
And NO LUCK!!!

if you're using windows, click the start button>control panel>uninstall programs> and check for adobe acrobat and adobe reader. don't uninstall anything if you find it.
but if you find no acrobat/reader run the cleaner (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then try and install adobe reader.

Market Share is a formula in BEX.
I need an aggregation on unique only records in terms of the Market_ID. If Market_ID appears more than once, should be ignored (even the Market Id is drilldown or not)
I saw in the documentations example of MS% calculation, but this is working only if we analyze the products agains one Market_ID.
But a company may compete in many markets with many products.

Yes, I am changing the date in the "schedule lines" tab for the sales order to a date next week, say May 23, 2014. When I click on the display "Shipping" info, I see:
1) Delivery date: 05/23/2014 - 00:00
2) GI Date: 05/22/2014 - 22:00:00
The expectation is to have the GI date 23:00:00 since my config for the route on the sales order is for 1 hr of transit time only.

Why does my Elements 12 ask me to enter Program Key after the product has been used and registered

I have had Elememts 12 for several months ... when I bought it ...I downloaded the program and registered it ... now ... every once in a while the program asks me to enter the Key number as if I never registered it ... also sometimes I get a message about my 30 day trial ...

I purchased Elements 12 not the Premier addition .... the disk Elements 12 comes with a trial version of Premier ... I did not install the 30 day trial version .... maybe t is Adobe trying to sell me the Premier addition ... I will pay more attention the next time the message comes up ... after reading some of the posts, I think that is what is happening ... I will have to wait ... someone wrote that they had the same problem and after a while, the message stopped appearing .... as I indicated .... I will look more carefully the next time I see the message...

I am trying to get through all your recent replies to go back to your post numbered 8.
1. Go to Control Panel/Programs and determine if you have Premiere Elements 12 and Photoshop Elements 12 installed.
2. When you have gotten the try out dialog, what program is mentioned in the dialogs - Premiere Elements 12 or Photoshop Elements 12?
3. The fundamental question is what did you purchase
a Photoshop Elements 12
b. Premiere Elements 12
c. Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12
From what you wrote it sounds like Photoshop Elements 12. Premiere Elements 12 seems to have come along as a tryout.
4. If Premiere Elements 12 is a tryout, after 30 days from first install of it, you should not be able to use it without a purchased serial number specific for Premiere Elements 12.
5. If you have no interest in Premiere Elements 12 tryout, uninstall it if it is installed. If it is not installed, then it is not the cause of your trial messages. But, I offer you this thought. Are these really License This Product/Continue Trial messages or are they really promotional dialogs (ads) put on your computer by Adobe who knows you have Photoshop Elements 12 and are trying to get you interested in Premiere Elements as well?
Please review and consider.

Can we use same program ID for more than one RFC scenarios

            I am working on a RFC to FILE scenario. I have created one TCP/IP connection in SM59 with a program ID. Can we use this program ID for more than one scenario. I have written code as below

when i am executing the code like this. i am able to send the data to 'Z_CBT_RFC_QUOTEMASTER' , but iam not getting data for 'Z_CBT_RFC_PRODUCTMASTER' interface. ID4 is the connection that i have created in SM59. with program ID as ABCD.
              Can i use the same connection for all interfaces.Please help in this, if we can use same connection for all interfaces. then how to make changes in XI.

Just tried this and I can confirm that my earlier understanding was correct!
One of my colleagues confused me out and the conclusion is,
1. You need a separate TCP IP Connection for every interface with a Unique program ID.

We have both OBIEE 10.1.3.4 and BI Publisher installed in Linux environment. When I click on OBIEE dashboards/More Products/BI Publisher, I got the following error:

Hi,
I have fixed the issue. The reason for getting "Reporting Login Failed: Please contact administrator for your username/password." is in the credentialstore.xml file the username provided for bipublisheradmin alias is not available in the SSO (OID). I have given Administrator as the username and same password I have defined for Administrator password in the RPD. Administrator user in the RPD was also assigned all the 6 XML* groups as suggested by the installation guide.
However, when navigating from OBIEE to BI Publisher using the more products link, it was giving the above error. I have change the username to SSO user (for example orcladmin) and also added a row in custom security table we are using for the GROUP variable assignement through the init block block. Group Name is assigned as XMLP_ADMIN for orcladmin user in this custom security table. After doing these two changes, everything is working fine.

You installled 11g or 10g. From what you are looking I feel you installed 10g. Please check the Administration - Manager previleges - BI Publisher link--permissions.
From installation, Please check the installation type whether you have installed standalone OBIEE or BIP&OBIEE.

More productive way to build iPad and iPhone app

My app is available in both iPhone and iPad. I was wondering if there was anyway Adobe would come out with a "responsive" iPad version? It seems tedious to build an iPad and iPhone. While I understand the reasons for this process is there a more productive way to go about building these folios?

Hi Gurus,
We have integrated OBIEE with siebel.
Im trying to figure out how the more product(BI Publisher) link gets enabled on Siebel on Answers screen.
We are using Ldap authentication.so when the user logs in siebel and navigates Answers they are unable to see the more productc link.
I have given access permissions to everone for BI Publisher and we have c onfigured BI Publisher,everything works fine.
Can any one help me getting a solution for the same.

login Answers through Administrator -> goto settings -> Manage Privileges -> provide access any of Access to Delivers,Access to Disconnected Analytics,Access to Oracle BI Publisher Enterprise and Access to Oracle BI for Microsoft Office to users.
After providing all these access users will see the more products link..
Assign Points and close thread, if your question is answered.....
