Combo updater for multiple installation of CS4 Mac

Is there a way to download a consolidated version of the cs4 updates once and install on all 13 machines instead of having each machine download the updates using the adobe updater? The Adobe updater method is slow and inefficient and ties up my internet connection.
Your help is appreciated.

Each application has its own schedule of updates. There isn't such a thing as a "consolidated version of cs4 updates."
You can go to www.adobe.com and download updates manually which you could store on a server, and install from there to each workstation.

Background. I have a single iMac that I have been using since ~2007. It's a family computer and there are three(3) accounts/users on it. I am the administrator for them. The operating system has been kept up with each OS upgrade since its purchase. We are currently using Maverick.
Problem - In the past with all the other operating systems (pre-Maverick), when a application needed to be upgraded I could log into my account (administrator rights) and perform the necessary upgrade and it would propgate to ALL the users on this computer. However, since upgrading to Maverick I can no longer just upgrade on the administrators account (i.e. mine) and it propogate to the other users. I now have to log into each individual account (i.e my wifes and sons) and perform the upgrades to their account.
Question - Does anyone know if there is a way to allow the administrator to perform the single upgrade that propogates to others users in OS Maverick without having to log into each individual accounts and updating each account separately. Also does anyone know why OS Maverick no longer supports the capability like ALL previous OS's have in the past?

Ok thanks. The apps that I'm referring to are: Pages, keynote, numbers, iMovie, and iPhoto. Each of these were originally purchased or came (iLife / iWork) with the machine when I purchased it. All of those apps are located for each user under HD/Applications folder. Each user does have a apple iD for itunes and itunes purchases for songs etc. but all applications are purchased by me the administrator and placed in the HD/Applications folder. So I'm not sure why I now (since upgrading) to Maverick need to go into each account and perform the updates to these apps. All previous OS updates never had this problem.
Does this now mean for each user that I perform the update my HD is getting multiple downloads and installs and increasing the amount of usage per application. For example if "pages" takes 1 Gb and I install it for each user will it now take a total of 3Gb for the 3 users?

Should I download delta or combo update for a new MBP with problem?

Hi everyone, my cMBP is a mid 2012 15 iChat version, the screen brightness control and auto graphics switching functions r disappeared by themselves, until recently I heard about combo and delta update, so I hoping this update can solve my problem,
My os x is 10.8.3 out of the box n I haven't do any update yet,
So should I download delta 10.8.3 or 10.8.3 combo?
Will I able to download 10.8.3 delta in the same os x 10.8.3 system?
Should I straight away download combo 10.8.5 update or download 10.8.3 first to prevent problems bring to the new os x version?
Or should I redownload the os x 10.8?
Does this combo update help me?
Btw my mac warranty will expired on mid April

I would download and install the 10.8.5 Combo Update. It's my preference as it contains all updates from 10.8.2 through 10.8.5.

Help: 10.0.1 update for multiple languanges is the same file as for Tier 1 languages.

I'm trying to deploy the 10.0.1 update to my corporation. I need the multiple language update. When I go to the Downloads site for Adobe Reader, the update for multiple languages languages is the exact same file as the update for Tier 1 languages. I've called (yes, and actually held on long enough to speak to someone) twice asking for clarification on the files. The first time I was told this would be escalated to the web team and to call back. Over a week later no change to the files on the download site so I had to call in again and go through the same painful process to get the person on the phone to understand the problem. Has anyone already gone through this and determined whether that update is Tier 1 or multiple languages? Thank you very much.

10.4.11 Combo update (PPC) fails installer check

I've tried installing both the Combo update and the standalone rev from 10.4.10 --> 10.4.11. Both stall at the "Select Destination" step stating that my "volume does not meet the requirements for this update". It doesn't give me any more details than that.
I'm running 10.4.10 on an iMac G5, have enough disk space (100+ Gigs) and have run a verify disk and repaired permissions with Disk Utility. The installer log shows the last message as "Installation checks completed successfully."
I'm stuck. Any suggestions?

My 17" Intel iMac updated to 10.4.11. Worked fine for a while, then the grey screen started coming down and crashing. Eventually, it wouldn't start up. So, I used firewire target mode to install a fresh update from my PowerBook. When i started the imac, I got double panic kernal errors. Now it won't eject the DVD that's in it, won't start in Target or Safe mode. NOTHING.
As a long time Mac user, this really *****! Help!

Appleworks updater finds multiple installations ...

am updating applewrks from 6.2.7 to 6.2.9 ... powerbook G3 running 10.3.9 ....
i get an error message that says i have multiple installations of appleworks and that the installer is quitting ... i do not have multiple installation; in fact, when i delete my one version, the installer says that indeed i do not have any versions of appleworks to update ... what is going on?

AppleWorks comes in 15 different versions for different languages. It is not multi-lingual like OS X-native applications. It is possible to install any or all of them from the restore DVDs that came with the last of the pre-Intel iMacs, iBooks & Mac minis. I think the error message you're seeing is the one that means it can't find a copy of AppleWorks for that updater to update. The most common reason is that the language of the updater doesn't match the language of the installed version of AppleWorks 6. This particularly applies to the two English versions. There are several websites with links to incorrect updaters. The UK Apple site in particular has been known to point to the north American updater for quite some time. The most reliable links are on this page where you can choose the appropriate updater for your AppleWorks 6 installation.

I did a complete uninstall (including the CS5 Clean Tool) and reinstalled MC CS5. I ran the updater and everything seems to have updated properly. Thanks for your help. I was holding off on the reinstall because of the time involved with reconfiguring the apps, reinstalling plugins, etc.
Looking at the installer log, there appears to be some permissions related entries that were not present in logs of the failed installs. Here is the relevant section of the log.

I did run a permissions repair using the Disk Utility before downloading and installing the updates. I don't know if that helps, but I thought I'd include it.

10.6.4 Combo Update - Kernel Panic on 1st Gen Mac Pro with 8GB and ATI 4870

Hi,
I installed the 10.6.4 combo update last night and now my system constantly kernel panics. It was fine with 10.6.3 for months and never kernel panicked.
I have 4 x 2GB FB-Dimms and a ATI 4870 card.
The system is also only showing one display and I can force it to kernel panic by going to system preferences and selecting 'Detect Displays'.
Anyone got any suggestions before I reinstall back to 10.6.3?

Hey guys. I have got a new Macbook Pro 13" model and I am getting kernel panics. I've been trying to partition the drive for Boot Camp and after I updated yesterday (to 10.6.4) i've been getting the kernel panic sign. Also, when I boot from my Snow Leopard disk to go into Disk Utility to repair the permissions (I opened Onyx and on the SMART check it said the permissions needed to be reset) I get a kernel panic and it crashes! So at the moment i've just backed up my work and I am panicking myself as I have no idea what to do from here.
Any help would be appreciated!

Single EM for multiple installation?

I'm quite new to weblogic and I'm using it for business intelligence 11g. I've have more than one installation of BI11g with more than one weblogic. For each bifoundation domain I have a different EM... there's the possibility, similar to EM grid control for databases, to attach more weblogic to a single web interface?

On top right of EM, you can see Setup -> Add Target -> Oracle Weblogic Domain. You can use this to add a weblogic domain to a single EM and reuse for multiple domains.

Combo Update for Mountain Lion v10.8.5? Help.

I just bought my MacBook Pro earlier today. In my app store I have to do an update to OS X Update Combined 10.8.5 I try to update the system and I cant because its giving me an error code of 102! So I then tried to download it from the apple site and it wont even show progress in the downloads folder. The most it will go to is about 5% then just stay there until I delete it. I need help, please!

If you download the Combo updater from -> http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1676 - don't try to stop the download. It's a 831MB file, so it may take some time to download (depending on your Internet speed).
Once it's downloaded, simply double-click on the .dmg file and then couble-click the installer.
How fast is your Internet connection?

Is it possible to download only Software Updates for multiple Macs.

We currently have two 24inch iMacs, a 15 inch and a 17 inch MacBook Pro and a MacBook and only have limited download speeds in our regional area and only 1 Gb of data download allowance a month. Is there any way we can "download only" software updates on one computer and transfer the update to the other systems in Snow Leopard, like we did in Leopard. This does not appear to be possible in Snow Leopard. For us to upgrade all computers to 10.6.5, we would blow our data allowance for 2.5 months. And this does not take into account all the other updates that are available for installed Apple software. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How can I see up AppStore/Software Updates for multiple computers using the same account?

I have several computers in my household which all use the same App Store account for purchases & software updates. How can I view all those installs while not being in front of all computers?
Recently an iMac crashed from a software update. I want to see what installed & crashed it.

Choose Store > Sign In from the App Store menu.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click Sign In.

Update Photoshop CS PC to CS4 Mac

I've just received an ad from Adobe saying that I can update my old Photoshop CS to the CS4 one. Cool ! But I was wondering if it is ok to buy the CS4 for Mac, as my original Photoshop CS was for PC ? Will the licensing process work in that case ?

Just install CS4 on the new Mac and when asked provide the previous version serial number to qualify the upgrade. If you are getting a computer with Snow leopard you may have other issues because of Apples buggy OS but that's another issue.
