      i need select combobox item random.
for example
i created a dynamic combobox include like

now i insert to data grid column.it display in 5 rows then i am having data like this its from db.

i want select 2 in first row cmbox then
i want select 5 in second row combobox.    i gave like this

Iam creating the combo boxes as follows from another source file.

There is some problem with the defined "AutoSearchComboBox" with selection.When I change the privately defined "AutoSearchComboBox" to JComboBox and make it editable,all the selection problems are gone.
In short all the "getSelectedItem" from the "AutoSearchComboBox" and the "itemstate" events defined are not going to the "ItemEvent.SELECTED"
What should I fix in the "AutoSearchComboBox" so that the selections work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Smita,
When you create the Transaction code either thru Se80 or thru Se93... please see that you are giving the screen number asked there as 1000, which is the default screen number for the selection screen.
Also, please see if the checkboxes for the GUI Support are ticked. I think it iwll solve you problem.

Change Data Provider Based on ComboBox Selection

Complete noob using Flash CS5 for Macs. I have a ComboBox component and a TileList. I want the ComboBox selection to change the data provider for the TileList. I've used a sample script from the Adobe website at the bottom, but it is not working in this context. Google returns no better examples. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have created a dropdwon using Hovermenu and added English and German.
Now when I click on these the function should be called.

i strongly urge you to read some book about CSS and forget using deprecated HTML tags like FONT.
Why am i saying that?
Well, you don't want to change a page template or a report definition every time the user complains about the size of a font or the space between lines, do you?
CSS is all about presenting the page the way you want, setting margins, spaces, fonts and so on.
You should focus on the content, the data, leaving the task of formatting to one or more CSS stylesheet linked in the HTML header.
I recommend reading some articles first, at least to have a general idea of mainstream techniques:

Selection Problem with JTable

Hello,
i have a selection problem with JTable. I want to allow only single cell selection and additionally limit the selection to the first column.
I preffered the style from MS Outlook Express where you can select the email accounts to edit.
It is a table like this:

GMX           |   IMAP |The selection should be only avaibable at 'Hotmail' or 'GMX' - not at 'POP3', 'IMAP' or as complete row selection.

Runtime loading of XML file off a ComboBox selection

I need to load an XML file at runtime based on a ComboBox
selection that has the XML file path as its data.
I figured out how to load an XML file at runtime by defining
an HTTPService

and setting the <mx:Application
creationComplete="stocksXML.send();"
But when I now try to set the HTTPService url dynamically in
the ComboBox change event handler

What am I missing here? Why doesn't that work?

I suggest adding a resultHandler to the HTTPService and check
the results there. Also add a faultHandler so that you will know
what the error was.

Select Problem For 'Back Menus' - Zen V P

Just got the Zen V Plus and tried to set the time/date. Followed the 'guide' and after the time/date screen pressed the 'back button'. Got the Set Alarm/Date/Time (etc) menu but when I selected an option (moved joystick down to desired option then pressed the joystick) the time/date display came up and I was NOT ABLE to set the date. Same thing occurred trying to set the date (tried it several times and it worked once .... then attempted again - several times (4) but it only worked once). Turns out I have the same problem with any option in ANY 'back' menu. Suggestion?
Do I have a defecti've unit (can't be the 'operator' who is defecti've! haha)? Should I return it and try another?

Latest ... updated my firmware (to ZENVPlus_PCFW_P4S_L2___0.exe) and it fixed the select problem for SET DATE/TIME etc however
the SELECT procedure doesn't always work for 'back button' menus. Example: tried to set a bookmark... following procedure in 'guide', pressed 'back button' and held it, from 'NOW PLAYING' screen - works 2 out of 5 times. Most of the time, pressing and holding takes you back to the previous menu - not to the 'back' (or in this case the SET BOOKMARK) menu. Sounds like something for the next version of firmware ... the code doesn't always set an internal timer correctly (am a programmer of 30 years ... part of that time pgmmng firmware).

Click on Safari
Scroll down to services then slide to right
Scroll down to services preferences and click
Scroll down to the Text section
If you Tick the Text box it will choose all options for you. Or if you don't want all options in the Text list, then untick Text box and tick options you do want.
BUT for your print selection problem make sure you tick NEW TEXT EDIT WINDOW CONTAINING SELECTION.
Then when you want to select something in a web page you want to print (including pictures etc) then highlight it, then Right click. And low and behold, in the list is NEW TEXT EDIT WINDOW CONTAINING SELECTION. Click that, Then press cmd+p and your printing.

You need to set a "Hide" after the write... I suggest you also set your own dialog PF-STATUS too so you can have just a PF2 "pick" button and a Cancel button ( this will look better to the user).

Weird BGP path selection problem

I am seeing a weird BGP path selection problem on 4948 switch running cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.122-46.SG.bin code, this switch has two uplinks to the same ISP's different edge router, one circuit is primary the other one is strict backup, only default route is accepted from ISP. I am setting both local preference and weight to the default route advertised over backup link, however neither one is taking effect, BGP still thinks the backup link is better, what could be wrong?

On cisco routers , weight is having highest preference to decide best path. By default for received route, weight is 0 but you are setting weight 90 to backup path and that is why it is getting preferred (higher is better). Please remove weight and let local preference be 90 (lesser than route on primary path)

Certificate selection problem in Safari

Hi ,
I have certifcates A,B,C,D for the same site , whenever i use the Mozilla it is asking which one to select , but somehow i dont know why Safari is asking the same option.
It is forcing me to accept Certifcate A to that paricular site. How to solve this problem in safari.

Combobox Selection Takes Action

I am trying to learn how to use a combobox selection (two items in the list) to take and action such as changing the color of boxes I have acting as a border around my form or, better yet, possibly to hide or view a button. I am asking for help in devleoping a generic code into which I can insert the names of my fields I wish to hide or view. Can anyone help? I know NOTHING about Javascript. Thanks in advance.

The code below should work. Each OPTION in each case is the name of your drop downs for the combobox. You place the code in format under custom keystroke. Everytime you choose one of the dropdowns it will run whatver code you placed for the case. this.getField("YOURFIELDNAME").display = display.hidden should work for hiding, replace hidden with visible and voila.

I've a problem when I try to do

when the valid value is empty.
Selected is null and I've an error.
So I must test each Combobox by doing this :

But I've hundreds of this case in my code.

you have the same problem in every business one version.
you first have to check if the property is not null/nothing
the only other way is that you use try / catch
