Comcast Sportsnet PLUS (CSN+) IN HD - Fredericksburg, VA
When will channel 575, CSN+ (HD) be available in my area?
It's ridiculous that a Washington, DC Sports Channel can be found in HD in Richmond, VA, but not farther north in Fredericksburg.
You play Caps/Wizards games that are on CSN+ on channel 501, which says it is HD, but it certainly is not. The picture is terrible.
Please get this right.
It sounds like your CSN+ in HD addition would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. Suddenly Comcast Sportsnet HD channel has lip synch issues
The past few days, Channel 577, which is Comcast Sportsnet New England in my (Boston) area, has lip synch issues. It appears to be the only channel with this issue, and the SD version of the CSNNE station (77) is fine. Since it is only this one channel I believe it must be something with the station itself, but I'm wondering if I can fix it myself somehow. Perhaps reset of the set-top box, or unplug and plug in the HDMI cable again? It's just this one channel, though, so I'm trying to avoid any changes of settings on my receiver, set top box or TV, etc.
Any ideas? Or should I just report this to Verizon's support line?

I've found sometimes that when I am watching on my dvr and a lip sync issue crops up, I can pause the show for 2-3 seconds and then press play (so I am watching it "delayed") and that solves the problem. Dont know why this works but it does most of the time for me. YMMV

(BUG) Preview Window blank on guide when tuned to Comcast Sportsnet channel!
Here is a bug that I have noticed for a while now! If you have on Comcast Sportsnet Channel 847 here in Philly. And then bring up the full screen guide and click the button on the remote that brings up the little preview window it's just blank. As in just black with no picture. And I think this maybe the only channel that causes this issue. Anyone have seen this? Comcast can it be fixed in a future software update please?

Did we lose Comcast Sportsnet New England in HD?
Tonight I saw the old "blue screen" CSNNE on the HD version, channel 577, which has long since been gone in favor of full programming in HD for this channel. Did something happen all of a sudden with whatever agreement existed between Comcast and Verizon re their HD service, or is the channel just out of service at the moment?
From what I can see, the HD version should still be available. It's possible that there is just a problem with the HD feed. Will check in the network and let you know.

Can anyone tell me if there are plans on picking these channels up for the NW (portland area)? I would really like to get Blazers, Beavers, Ducks in HD when it's available. Luckily a lot of the OSU football games are on VS which we have the HD feed of, but unfortunately we don't have the feed for FSN and CSN. However, if you look at TV Guide, they show these chanels listed in the 576 and 577 locations, but they are not there on my TV.

I'll up the ante. What about Fox Sports NW in HD?? Perhaps this question should be directed to Fox, but Verizon should have some skin in this as well. In the Portland, OR-Metro area Comcast airs a ton of NW specific sports in HD on Ch. 788. The HD feeds come from both FSNW and CSNW. This means lots of Pac-10 football, basketball, Mariners and Blazer games in full HD glory. To date, Verizon doesn't have the Comcast equivalent of "Ch. 788." The technology certainly exists, and it seems like it would be pretty easy to implement / deliver this to NW customers.
On the upside, you do get more HD sports channels with FiOS than with Comcast (i.e.. ESPNU-HD, ESPN News-HD, Speed - HD, Big Ten Network - HD, WGN-HD: Think Cubs & Bulls). Still, an HD channel specific to NW sports would be fantastic. I've heard FiOS is rolling out 100 new HD channels (this may or may not include PPV) before Dec. 31st, maybe one of 'em will be aimed at NW sports fans.
Can anyone from Verizon comment or advise?

The Comcast Network Philadelphia HD
While I'm sure this is futile, figured I'd inquire on the status for TCN HD for the philly area. It seems like verizon has access to the HD feed but has chosen not to broadcast it. Local sports in a major market shouldn't be presented only in standard definition. Comcast can find a spot for the HD channel, why not FIOS?

Verizon already pays for Comcast Sportsnet and The Comcast Network (TCN) but only carries the latter in SD (Comcast Sportsnet is available in both HD and SD). I don't believe there is an additional charge from Comcast for TCN in HD and it is simply a matter of finding QAM space for an additional HD which VZ does not seem to be willing to do for this channel (has been requested for years). One other eason is that many times the only live events are "overflow" (like when the 76ers and Flyers are both playing at the same time).
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for TCN in HD to be added.

Ok, I can't take this anymore. My FIOS is great, BUT why isn't the Capitals game on???? The paper says it's on Comcast Sports Net, BUT it's not on the one on FIOS. This isn't the first time that it hasn't been on. Why isn't it on????? Does anyone know????

There are two Comcast Sportsnet Channels. There's CSN, which is on channel 76 (576 for HD). Then there is "CSN Plus" on channel 1. CSN Plus is not a 24/7 channel; it is typically used when the Wizards and Capitals play at the same time. A HD version of CSN Plus is not available.

I noticed while flipping channels tonight that channel 575 (CSN+ HD) is now the Comcast Network HD, while 334 is the SD feed. Not that there is a whole lot to watch, but it's better than the floating Comcast Sportsnet logo when there are no live games. Nothing is in the program guide other than the the live games at this point.
I guess I spoke too soon. Now the channel is showing test patters and goofy clips of commercials along with still pictures of CSN commercials. For a little while, there was a lone camera angle of one person on a CSN Philly talk show with audio from only the left speaker.

Why is the NHL Network blacked out for the Washington Capitals @ Toronto Maple Leafs game? I pay extra for HD channels but I have to watch the game on the FIOS 1 channel - this is ridiculous!
I would understand if the game was broadcast locally in HD, but forcing people to watch the local standard definition broadcast is in no means any equivalent to watching in HD.The reason that NHL Network was blacked out is because Comcast Sportsnet has paid for exclusive rights to show the games in our region, whether it's on CSN or CSN+. If you have an issue with the game not being shown in HD, contact CSN. NHL Network must black out games for each team's areas beacuse of the regional rights-holders.
A lot of us here have a hard time feeling bad for you being forced to watch the game in SD when we can't see the game at all, since Verizon does not carry CSN+ throughout most of the CSN footprint. I did watch the game at Halligan Bar in Richmond (shameless plug) because they have Comcast and showed CSN+. -
Can a producer please tell me why the NY Rangers are broadcast on two HD channels and the Islanders are on SD (81). It makes absolutely no sense.
Please let me know.MSG2 HD was added last week, and when an overflow game is not shown, it just shows the same thing as MSG HD. Unfortunately, Verizon did not add MSG+2 HD at the same time, but word is that it's on the way. Of course, no one at Verizon will say when. When MSG+2 HD is added, it will most likely be the same thing as MSG+ HD when there's not a different live event scheduled. I hope this makes sense. Verizon is very particular about passing on the signals from the providers without altering them, so they simply will not use one channel to switch between two overflow feeds.
In my region, MASN2 HD just shows ESPNEWS HD when there's not a live event, and CSN+ HD just shows a "Comcast SportsNet" logo floating with stars moving around it. It's got to be frustrating to see two Rangers games, but hopefully you'll get all the Islanders & Devils games in HD soon. -
Random internet slowing down on MacBook Pro with Retina Display

I have a 15" Macbook Pro With Retina Display, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Iris Pro 1024 MB, OS X 10.9.2 (13C64). late 2013
for some reason since the last system upadate, my internet on my Macbook has been slowing down at random times during operation, sometimes I am using facetime and browsing Safari, facetime continues operating normally but everything else relted to the interent would show me that there is no internet connection "Basically i cannot use anything related to the internet unless i turn off and on the wirless adapter. and its not just while using Facetime and safari but Safari alone aswell "one second am using the internet no problem playing video on youtube and checking facebook and all the sudddent it stops loading and tells me that there is no internet connected though the wireless indicator shows otherwise.
I have really fast internet and am the only one using it, i have comcast Blast Plus "57 MB/S download speeds".

NBC Sports channel -Flyers Devils listed but not shown!!!!
I'm in the Philadelphia market and last night I went to watch the Flyers Devils game listed on channel 590 NBC Sports and was dissapointed to see MMA boxing. Was the game blacked out for some reason? I called Verizon support and was on hold for an hour and gave up. Very frustrating!! Any info would be appreciated

The game you wanted to watch was on TCN (The Comcast Network) NOT Comcast Sportsnet - Comcast uses this as an "overflow" channel when 2 Philly teams are playing at the same time. TCN is an SD only channel on FiOS so I never watch games on it.

What area do you live in? In the Philly area, TCN, channel 99, is still there. it hasn't been removed.

TV@nywhere channel changing...
After taking 3 days of driver installing, MSI PVS installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, and basically dealing with WAY more hassle than I should to get this card to work, another stupid problem has cropped up. I can change the channel, but it doesn't always work. Like, I'll turn on channel 34, and I'll get what in my area is Comcast Sportsnet. I hit channel down, I should get Nickelodean, but I don't. The channel says "33", but the picture and audio is still 34. I can hit 3, 10, 7, 68, anything, and I still have 34's audio and picture. And then it will stop and I can change a few channels. And then it starts again. This basically makes the product worthless for me. I've searched this forum and haven't found anything related, and MSI's website is basically worthless for info on troubleshooting this card. Any ideas other than lay the card in my driveway and driving over it with my car?

Under SETUP --> TV -- > Audio Mode = "Manual Selection" and for Stereo Broadcast = Mono.

Move Email From Comcast Server to Outlook Pro Plus 2010
This is the most scrambled convoluted mess. Okay, have 99% of my Comcast mail account full. Have emails clear back to 2008. I kept email on the Comcast server b/c did not want to clutter up, use computer memory with email. Now I have to take these emails off of Comcast and put them into my Outlook. I set up a space on a new hard drive and made that location the default for my comcast email address. When I do send/receive in outlook only some of my email comes off of the Comcast account. It only took 2015 to date and most of 2014 emails. I just do not get how I am supposed to get the emails off of the Comcast server. For example is there a way just to download it period to any program or to save it to a hard drive? Sorry to be a pain but I have asked Comcast support - no help, and I have tried searching online in the forum. Just not finding - how to get the darn emails off of the Comcast server - at this point any way I can!!! And I do want to save them, b/c I get it, I could just delete them, but I do not want to do that. Thank you
The red lights on incoming indicates an issue with your settings. Verify port required by your server and if you require SSL. Make the necessary changes under Advanced tab for your account.
