Coments of Mood swings on Skype home page

I am still trying to elimanate Coments about mood swings on the Skype page. Everything that I have been given so far hasn't worked. Could someone please, help me. I maybe dense so what I need are detailed instructions. Thanks ahead of time for your assistance./ Bob

Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named as your Skype name. Open this folder. Locate there the file with the name keyval.db. Delete this file.

Skype Home page not showing activity?

When signed in to Skype through the MS account and linked Facebook side, when I clicked on the Skype Home page, I used to see all the current Facebook activity and postings from my Facebook contacts. now I only see the odd contact friend?
I always thought this was a very useful part of Skype, has this now changed or is it me?

Ureka! I had the same problem re accessing the Home Page - and it was due to not having put my name as being Online.

Is your Skype connection status Online? The status icon next to your name must be solid green with a white checkmark inside. Try to change the status using the dropdown arrow next to this icon.

Skype home page

Hi There
When I try to sign in to Skype I get the message that Skype home page isn't available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype twice now but still see the same messaage. This has been going on for a week. At the bottom right-hand corner of my computer there is a grey icon with arrows spinning. I have windows xp and internet explorer 8. Can you help me reconnect to Skype? Thanks

I have the same problems regarding using Skype to call internationally to Lima Peru using a windows 7 desktop with the latest version of skype.
I have been receiving this notice "skype home not available" check later" . I have tried to
remove the program and then download it again . I am using the latest version of Skype but to no avail. I have credit in the account and I want to use the service and I should be able to use it like before it was purchased by Microsoft. With the modifications done lately a lot of the previous options have been deleted. For example there is no option to dial the number by yourself (soft phone) among other previous options that have been deleted without any reason.
If the number is mistaken there is no option to EDIT the contact either.
Skype was simple ,fun to use, Not anymore.
If the moderator is reading this thread please do something about it.

My Skype home page does not show "Contacts", "Recent", "Call Phones" and "Profile". How do I change it to have it?

Mine is just showing me pictures at the top and the rest of the blue screen just says "Bring your facebook friends so Skype"

Why can't there be a delete buton on the home page so we can remove old emotions or updates , to many emotons on my home page .

UNWANTED "ads" on Skype home page

When I open Skype an ad for "View singles" is on my home page.
I DO NOT want it there. I do not visit such sites!
Who and why put it there?

Skype home page won't load for me

I have installed for the first time on my iPad, and can't get past the contacts page - at all. So, as far as I'm concerned, all connections and versions are the most up to date, and I don't have any issues with any other operations and Apps on my iPad. Help please!

How do I delete updates displayed on skype home pa...

There are updates on my skype home page that are years old, and serve no purpose. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete them. There is a selection to hide them, but none to delete.

No, it is my bank app on my homescreen only. I have two of them. But there is one that is grey looking that I put on my pad from the web site that I want in my documents on pages and not on this home screen where google and google+ etc. is.

So, for a while I'd log onto skype and get the message:

It's easy to start a conversation on Skype:
Choose a contact and start talking
Call a phone or mobile from the dial pad, or send an SMS.
Now, at first I thought it might be that I wasn't signed into skype, but I checked and ensured that I was in fact registered as online, able to send/receive messages but not able to view skype home. Then when I heard about the new update, I uninstalled my current version and installed Skype 6.12.
Same issue- able to send/receive messages, but no skype home.
I'm running Windows Vista, 64-bit operating system. Internet explorer may be my issue, as it doesn't actually seem to work at all beyond google, but I don't know how to fix that problem at all.
Help?

The issue is with your Internet Explorer. Skype Home page is created using IE and this link:

What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?
In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

Get rid of random people pics on Skype Home

On my Skype Home page there are 6 pcitures of random people - mostly women either scantily dressed or with suggestive names. The underneath a box asking me to "Tell your Friends what you're up to" Needless to say these folks are not my friends - how do I get rid of these pics?

How do I get a Skype Icon onto my Android tablet home pages?

Running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A with Lollipop 5.0.2. I can find no icon or widget for Skype on my Apps or Widget List. So I have to open it by going through the Google Play Store. I thought uninstalling and reinstalling it might put an icon on my Home Pages but it hasn't (in fact, uninstalling it just "uninstalled all updates"). How do I get an icon onto my home page?

I believe iTunes Store movies can only be played back on Apple devices.

I have been trying for over a year to delete 4 messages on my home screen with no luck. In contacting your teck support they have told me that they can do it for 4150.00. IN AN E-MAIL FROM YOU, I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO PAY FOR SUPPORT! You seem to be able to add to the coments without a problem. Please tell me how to delete once they are there.

Go to Solution.

Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%\skype and then press Enter or OK button. This will open Skype User folder. Locate there the folder named as your Skype Account name and the keyval.db file will be there. You must stop Skype from running on your computer before deleting/renaming this file. Next time you start Skype a new version of this file will be recreated and all mood message updates will be removed from the home page.

Skype home insists on connecting to facebook

Skype home says that my contacts have not been active recently and suggests that I connect to facebook (not happening because I don't have fb). I know that people have posted new mood messages and I have posted new ones myself, but none of them show up on the home. How can I get the home functioning and showing mood messages? I'm using the latest version of Skype.
