There are many complaints on I Tunes 12.1.1.4 version which is unable to connect Apple TV with ITunes on windows 7 PC
Is someone in Apple team going to fix the problem? Apple support web sites does not provide an answer to the problem.

There's no clear indication why this should happen (and it definitely shouldn't happen), but it is clear that the iTunes library database can become corrupted as the result of updating iTunes - which is why ensuring that you have an up-to-date backup of your library before installing any update is a recommended practice. Turingtest2's user tip on Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash describes the steps you may need to go through to recover your library.
The other possible cause for the case where you only see iTunes Store purchases in your library is that iTunes is somehow connecting to the wrong library database - possibly one that was created immediately after the last update. This will also happen automatically if you've changed the Windows login that you use, or if your Windows profile has been rebuilt. Check your system and see if you have more than one copy of the iTunes Library.itl file. There may be others with names of the form iTunes Library yyyy-mm-dd.itl - for this particular check these can be ignored but definitely not deleted! If you do find two or more iTunes Library.itl files identify the one that:
is larger than the others
has a datetime stamp closest to the point when your library was last working correctly, i.e., you could see and play all of your media
Then hold down SHIFT when you start iTunes; when you get this prompt:
click on Choose Library..., navigate to the iTunes Library.itl file you just identified, and click Open.

I downloaded about 1100 tunes from my old Macbook via fire wire onto my new (at the time) MacBook Pro, I am able to play about 900 tunes however, the other 200 it asks for me to get authorization and these also are from the Itunes store and everytime I give it the passwork it does not honor it, what is the problem ?

I cannot transfer all of my i-tunes from my desktop PC to my laptop PC. Of about 800 tunes, it "cannot find" about 100. Where are they?

My itunes are stored on my desktop. When I move them to my laptop, about 100 of 900 tunes are "not found." Thus, I cannot upload them from my laptop to my i-pad.

First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so.
Use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then drag or copy — do not type — into the Terminal window:
sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Press return. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

How can I easily identify songs Not in a playlist (I have about 10k tunes, so doing 'show in playlist' that many times is not practical). Any help appreciated.

I'm trying to tidy up my itunes playlists and it would be helpful to be able to separate out all the items that AREN'T in any playlist. I can do this by looking at files individually, but it would be good to be able to list them all out or sort them in bulk - does anyone have a good algorithm for a smart playlist that would do this? I have about 250 playlists at present,

Make a master playlist folder, e.g. All Playlists. Move the playlists that count inside it. Make a smart playlist outside of the master playlist matching all the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not All Playlists. Anything in this list isn't in any of the lists inside All Playlists. Adapt to suit...

Qosmio F30 question about TV-tuner

Hi, I am Mike from Slovakia (middle europe)...
Is it possible to watch TV program on DVB-T ?? or this signal is only for Qosmio G-series ???
I have a driver on CD: AVerTV v5.2.0.14 Slovakia Patch
but during the instalation it shows me: "WARNING: Wrong TV utility version!
this driver is from ORIGINAL TOSHIBA CD ! NO COPY...
and when I try to connect my Toshiba to the "normal" aerial trough aerial cable, notebook is able to find only three HUNGARIAN (I am from slovakia) program im the very bad condition too,,, when I connect this cable to the classic TV, I can watch more than 30 programs....
Where is the problem???
DO I need driver for slovakia TV programs??
Is possible that on Slovakia there isnt a DVB-T signal ???
Is possible to watch TV in high quality anywhere I am, only with "pocket" aerial connected to my notebook???

Are you sure you can watch DVB-T in your region? Please check it at first. It is definitely possible that there is no DVB-T signal because I know that many west countries are not covered with this signal. Please dont understood me wrong but technical development on west is much better as in Slovakia and I believe there is definitely no DVB signal just normal TV signal that you can receive with simply TV antenna.
With notebook TV devices is that they are country specific and maybe because of that you can not see all channels you would like to see. I was not out of my country with my Qosmio and I didnt test it yet but I am really interested about that and how it works exactly.

Your technical issues have zero to do with the installers. Whatever is at play is rooted on your system, but you have not provided any specific system info nor crash logs. Pardon me, but "Photoshop is crashing" is a useful as my 88 year old grandma telling me her phone doesn't work...

Question about I-tunes?

I just got a new iMac and i just downloaded the I-tunes 12.0. I'm looking for the New From Your Artists Section, but i cannot find it. Where is it? Was it taken down for improvements? I have scouted the from page endlessly.

An iPod can only be synced with one iTunes library. You can manually manage music on the iPod which will enable it to be used with more then one computer.
When you authorize your computer it only allows your iTunes Store purchases to play, it's not specific to an iPod.

Make sure to choose cancel to the erase and sync option as you will probably want to keep your content that is on the iPod there.

Pci-e tuner card not recognized on z68ma-ed55

I just built a new system using the z68 motherboard and everything seems to be working except my hauppauge hvr1800 tv tuner. I was hoping maybe some of you experts might have some insight. I have already updated the bios, per msi's advice but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm using windows 7 - 64 and the device will not even show up in the device manager. I have tried both pci-e x1 slots but neither seem to recognize that a card is installed. I put the card back in my old system and windows xp recognized it right away. Is there something simple I am overlooking? I don't have any other pci-e x1 cards to test so I'm not sure how to verify the slots are bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I've tried it in both slots and neither one seems to work. I did contact hauppauge about the tuner and they confirmed that the card is compatible in Windows 7 x64. I've been communicating with MSI's tech dept and they decided I should rma the board. I guess I'll have to wait and see what the problem is, now. Thanks, again, for the help.

I have one of the original IPOD's and just tried adding a bunch of songs, (200) and now that they're on my computer my ipod won't sync as it now says i need about 8.45 more gb. any thoughts on this?

I have one of the oriignal IPOD's circo 2006. I've got about 150 tunes on it which has been fine but today tried to add another 200 or so and was advised I need about 848 MB to load them. Is there any solution. I have 2 playlists. One with the original 150 tunes and one with the addiitional 200 tunes. Thoughts as now my IPOD won't sync at all and I don't want to delete any of the songs if I don't have to.

How much storage on the IPOD - I have one that has 60GB on it. Also have an IPOD shuffle that held less songs.
As your IPOD does not have enough storage for all of your songs, you have to create a list to sync to it that does not exceed the storage size.
For instance my IPOD shuffle had its only list of songs that did not exceed storage.
The IPOD gets them all because I only loaded the songs from my CDs that I really liked into ITUNES - leaving out the ones I skipped over.

RE: iMovie wont play 2 separate tunes?

I have tried importing a second audio clip into iMovie as I obviously don't want the same tune throughout the clip, but it doesn't play the second tune? Or could there be another reason/something I'm doing wrong? If it is because the earlier version of iMovie doesn't play the protected purchased tracks, I will of course upgrade to iMovie HD?

I searched in Help, no such term appears there.

it is new tool for ME version and it is used with the new menu "Tasmeem"
Second it is usages
it allows users to move blocks of text, diacritics and even individual dots while preserving textual integrity and the Unicode data structure. Moreover, one can colour diacritics individually for book covers and illustrations. so you have control all over the words and dotes position
Third i wonder why it is not exist on the ID Help even though it has a great role with who works on Arabic Text

the only serious approach to performance tuning is:
- write scripts who geneerate load on your system
- profile your system under load using a profiler such as yourkit or jrockit mission control
- monitor your application (ejb pools, datasources, jvm, threads9 under load to detect any bottleneck
- analyze logs under load to determine any saturation in resource usage
most default parameters of weblogic are already optimized for general purpose usage.
but every application if different from the other, so you must do your own homework

Qosmio G20: Qosmio Player and Tuner FM

I have seen a question about the tuner FM in the Qosmio G20 series (and other notebooks with Qosmio Player). Users have answered that Qosmio Player hasn't the tuner FM! This is wrong!
I have made a manual scan in Qosmio Player using the scan by frequency and it's possible to scan the range of frequency of the FM. So I have found some radio stations that I can save. The resolution is not the best but you can easily find some radio stations!

I agree with Togan. The units are delivered with different hardware configurations.
Therefore some units support a tuner and are delivered without the tuner.

Lost radio tuner with Win 7 install

I recently installed Win 7 over Vista on my HP M8100n desktop. The radio tuner no longer works on the Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC combo card, through Windows Media Center. The TV tuner still works fine. When opening the radio application in WMC, a small window opens saying "To play FM radio, you must first install a radio tuner". I have tried the Hauppauge driver 18drv_28021.
Any ideas?
