Command control h in mail

I don't know command+control+h is a new shortcut in new Mail, which works great together with Lion.
When you select an email by clicking and press command+control+h, the email disappears. I thoughts hide the email, but don't know how to show it back.
Moreover, when I log in the web host, it disappears too. Anyone can help with it?
I'm using Mail 5.1 and IMAP.

Thanks Tony. I think it's control+h to move an email to Trash.
However, i was exploring more just now. When I press control+h again in trash email, expecting it show back in inbox, it disappeared at all.
And how about control+option+h, it seems to delete email skipping trash.

Command, Control, and Option keys no longer works with Citrix Receiver after upgrading to OSX 10.9.5

At first my keyboard did not work with Citrix Receiver after upgrading to OSX 10.9.5 and I found the workaround by using "cmd + tab," however, once my keyboard work within Citrix, the "command, control, and option" keys no longer work. Does anyone have a remedy for this?

What happened to command control D over text?

In Snow Leopard and Lion, you could hold down command control D over text (try it in TextEdit or Safari) and the definition for the word would pop up.
What happened to this? Why is it gone? How can this be restored?
Anyone?
It is so bothersome when functionality you've been using for years mysteriously goes away.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
From the application's menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Boot in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

AIP SSM Command/control Interface is not coming up

kindly be informed that , i have AIP SSM for ASA, i configured it and its workign fine.but its command control interface is not coming up at all, i connect my lap top direct to AIP management interface but its status is always is down.kindly look at this configuration and guide me how i can communicate with AIP using mangement inerface.

If the interface won't link Up, then it is likely a cabling problem.
Even with a bad configuration on the AIP you should at least get link UP if your cabling is correct, so I don't think configuration is your problem here.
If I remember right the command and control interface of the SSM is a 10/100 TX interface. When connecting from a laptop directly to the command and control interface it would require a cross over cable rather than the normal straight through cable.
If you don't have a cross over cable, then try connecting the SSM to a switch and see if the SSM will link UP. The switch is designed to internally do the cross over.

TS3680 My iMac is locked on a gray screen, no apple logo or anything else shown, and the Command+Control+Esc option does nothing....help!

After a recent login, my iMac 27" has locked up with a gray screen. Cursor is visible, and moves, but I cannot get anything to actually open and the login screen does not appear. I tried the command+control+esc option, in an attempt to force quit / restart, but nothing happens.

Have you tried closing the Mail app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Restoring control buttons in mail

When I open a new mail message I have lost the red, green and amber control buttons from the message toolbar. Does anyone know how to restore them?

How to control fonts in Mail?

I have a persistent problem that I just cannot figure out. In mail prefs I set my font for the Mail message font to be Verdana 13 which is easier for me to read. Nonetheless, any time I click on the next line to type in, or click anywhere in the message, it ALWAYS outputs Verdana 12 and I have to manually change it. It looks like it is a bug but I am suspicious about coming to that conclusion as I may just be ignorant.

Regarding Mail, as already provided go to Mail > Preferences > Fonts & Colors.
You can change the Mailbox Font, Message List Font and Message Font.
The font and size that you select for the Message Font will be the font and size for received messages only when the sender of a message uses Plain Text for message composition. When a sender uses HTML for message composition, the sender controls the formatting. With such a received message open, at the menu bar go to View > Message and select Plain Text Alternative and the received message font will be changed to your chosen font for messages.
The message font selection will also be the font used when composing a message. RTF with Tiger Mail is really HTML but in order to implement HTML for message composition requires selecting a font via the font panel when composing a message or change the font size, color or add bold or italics for selected text, etc.
I don't believe you can change the font for Address Book. You can only change the font size choosing between Regular, Large or Extra Large.
The same for iTunes. You can select between Small or Large for Source Text and Song text.

Need a way to send a command control string to printer.

I am trying to print a USPS intelligent barcode (IBC) on a postcard size bill. The post card is approxiamtely 70 characters in width and 2-up. The command string that needs to be sent to the printer to print the IBC is 27 characters in length. The remaining data (data that actually needs to be barcoded) is 33 characters making the strin a total of 60 characters. My problem and questions is "How do I define a print field that will hold all 60 characters and allow me control over the area/position where the barcode is printed?". The IBC print position must conform to USPS Template Standards. Could someone please help me with this?

Java card does not support string and char types. if you want to send string/chars for example 'Hello World' to the card and store them then you need to convert them into hex format and then send the converted hex string to the card.
The command APDU will be then,

Controlling which display Mail opens messages into

I am a teacher. When using an alternate display, Apple software in general, and Apple Mail specifically, tends to open in the alternate display. So if i am working on my regular display screen and showing something to my class on the alternate display screen, Mail opens the new message in the alternate display, over top of the movie or whatever the class is seeing.
There should be a preference to control this. At least Safari follows the pattern where is the current window.
Is there a fix?

ITunes 10.4 Command Controls Don't Work, File Menu Greyed Out

The "improvements" in 10.4 version of iTunes are, uh, not. Among many other challenges iTunes now randomly decides that its file functions and the attendant command + (key) don't work. You get the "error" noise and the commands are actually greyed out under the "File" dropdown. FAIL. This, in addition to the "upgrade" that makes it necessary to hit "option" to see the nested playlist icon make this one of the worst iTunes updates in a long, long time. Don't think us out of what we're doing, please. I know it's free, but it's also not free (my Apple bills are staggering).
Formerly reliable commands like Command + L (go to current song) or Command N (new playlist) and even Command I (track info) are now hit and miss. If anybody has a solution (other than "you don't really want those features") I'd love to hear it. Or an explanation for how/why an entire series of commands becomes unavailable for no apparent reason. In the meantime I'm investigating alternatives (and I'm a long-term iTunes stalwart). Lame.
In the above screenshot, prior to writing this email (and part of the inspiration for it was that) "go to current song" was also greyed out. Of course I was writing this email and not changing anything but a few seconds ago Control "L" didn't do anything & that item was greyed out. So what happened? What changed? What's wrong? Your guess will hopefully be better than mine...

While I'm at it, the new/improved iTunes also periodically and for no apparent reason will not allow me to edit smart playlists (or create new ones). I hit Command "I" on a smart playlist and I get the "be-donk" that says "no love." Also greyed out in File menu along with almost everything else (see above). The feature returns after the passage of time but no noticeable conditions have changed - unless I'm missing something really obvious which is why I'm crying out for help...
