Command feather is unavailable?

When trying to run some actions, I get this error message in PS CS4: The feather command is not available now." WHy is it unavilable and how can I make it available? Thanks so much for your help.

Greetings all.
I am having problems with various actions in PS 11 that all seem to work fine in PS 10. It's primarily either "the command feather is not available" or "the command set is not available". These problems don't occur when I run the actions in PS 10. I've seen this here and there before when running anaction for the first time but it was just a matter of opening up the action and re-checking various boxes that were un-checked for some reason. In this case, everything is checked as it should be.
When they run properly, the actions make their own selections and such so reminding me that a selection is needed is not the fix for me. In PS 10 they run fine on a background or a layer without making any selections first. It's not as if this just happened all of a sudden, it's been a problem every since I installed 11 but I just used different actions instead. It's actually happened in PS 10 with other actions but I just ignored it at that time as well. It's not an intermittent thing, certain actions they either run or don't run.
Please let me know your thoughts and ideas on both the "feather" and "set" issues and thanks in advance for your input.

There are change between CS3 and CS4 which could account for this.
I suggest you remake the actions in CS4

You've lost me too -- but you mention both "feathering" and "saving" as if it's one operation.
What EXACTLY is the file format and mode of the file you're having a problem with? Where does "feathering" come into the equation? And how does it relate to saving? Also, is it just the one file? Or many?
In addition, which version of Photoshop and what OS are involved here?

Feather Error in batch saving

I am trying to save a bunch of open edited files to a new folder without having to select "save as", "folder", etc.. for each individual file, as this takes forever. My knowledge base in photoshop is still in the very early phases (I'm using CS5)
I Googled how to do it and followed the directions of : file -> action -> batch -> source(all open files) & then selected the folder I wanted to save them to. When I then go to run the command I get: The command “Feather” is not currently available" for every photo. What am I doing wrong/how do I fix this?

Check system log and also check work process trace, to know the error.
I feel that it could be Authorization issue, you don't have sufficient authorization to do.

Convert photos using the Tools Photoshop Imagine Processor (Photoshop CS 5)

All of a sudden, I am having issues when I attempt to convert photos using the Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor option in Adobe Bridge. I used this methodology in the past and the conversion to JPG or TIFFs would fly with no interruption. Now I am getting now getting getting dialog boxes with "New Snapshot" in the title, I click OK, then get a message, "The command "Feather" is not currently available," I click "continue, and gert a "New Layer" dialog box, I click OK, and get a "Fill" dialog box, I click OK and the JPG or Tiff is then generated. This series then starts over on the next photo to generate. I am using Photoshop CS5 on a MAC. I did uninstall and re-install Photoshop l, but I am getting the same series on messages. Any suggestions? Thanks

It sounds like you have an action running when processing the photos
Look at the bottom of the image processor dialog and and see if Run Action is checked

Adobe Photoshop has stop working in Focus Area

why does Photoshop CC 2014, close down every time i try to use Focus Area, I have it in Danish,on a danish computer, windows 7.
There must be other out there whit the same problem.
Have restartet sevel times, but still the same.
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working. A problem caused the program ceased to function properly. Windows closes the program and notifies you if there is a solution.

Trouble Creating Brush Tabs in Photoshop CS6

Hi,
I am having problems creating custom brush tabs in Photoshop CS6 using Adobe Configurator 4. I was trying to follow the instructions based off of this screenshot, but cannot seem to link the actions with the panel buttons I am creating.
Here is the screenshot:
I saved my brushes into several different files as specified. I am unexperienced however using Actions in photoshop. I tried recording the loading of each brush file into photoshop and saved them as actions. Regarding Adobe Configurator, I am not sure whether I am supposed to create Action buttons, Script buttons, or Script File buttons to link the brushes in photoshop.
I have tried figuring out on my own but receive error messages such as: Syntax Error, and, this command is currently unavailable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's an example of a simple panel using the Action buttons in configurator 4.
While recording the actions in photoshop for use in your panel:
If you want to load a Brush preset on your list in photoshop, click on the name and then in the next dialog click OK
(as in the Assorted action)
(Append adds to the already loaded presets)
If you want to load a brush preset from your hard drive, use Replace Brushes and then click OK in the next dialog
(as in the Pen Pressure action)
In configurator, the action linked to a specific button needs to be named in the Basic Attributes using the action set name and name of the action as they appear in your recorded actions

When I run certain actions, I get the errors of "Command feather is not available", or "Command transform is not available".
I've tried to reset my preferences but it did not work.
What is going on? Any info would be helpful.

There has to be a selection active for those command to work on
something.

Error message when using contact sheet

When attempting to produce a contact sheet, I get an error message: "command "unknown" is unavailable". I have dumped the plug in and reloaded but same message. Any suggestions?

Cannot save in InDesign CS6

About three weeks ago, InDesign CS6 began acting up. When I had been using and saving a document for half an hour or so, I would lose the ability to save the document. All the save-related commands became grayed out. I came to the forum for advice, thinking it was that one document. I was advised that the file had become corrupted, and that I should export it as an idml file, then open it and resave it. That worked.
Over the intervening weeks, it has happened several times, on several different documents. The problem is intermittent. I can work for an hour with no problems. Then another time, the save command will become unavailable after typing one sentence.
I am using OS 10.8.3 on a Quad-core Mac Plus with 16GB of RAM
Obviously something vital to the program has become corruped. Any ideas or suggestions?

The files are on my hard drive. I am not on a network - stand alone, single user machine. Per advice from you to another user in the past, I just manually trashed the preferences in the user Library, along with the SavedData file in Caches. I will need to work with it for a bit to see if that solved the problem. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Components seem to be missing from Photoshop CS5 since de-bugging PC by shop

Since my Windows-7 PC went to the shop for a clean up following some suspect virus my CS5 Photoshop seem to have some components missing.
I can get into CS5 (I had upgraded from CS3 earlier in the year and now I can't get into CS3 even though the icon is still there.) and upload a photo and use the basic tools but I can't use a lot of the ACTIONS: i.e. I get error messages like The command "Feather" is currently not available or "The command Channel Mixer is currently not available"

It may not be so simple as you are trying to reproduce the historical value. I believe you have to create a temporary table first. Or you may use Command feather to get the required data in advance.

Query for Inventory Audit Report

hi experts,
I would like to create a inventory report using Crystal Reports 2008 which looks exactly the same as Inventory Audit Report in SAP Business One 2007A
Report requirement:
List down all the items with its Item Code, Description, Quantity and Item Cost (easy right?)
The only condition:
I would like to filter my report by FromDate and ToDate.
For example:
Current date 15.07.2009
If I run the report by putting in 01.01.2009 to 31.01.2009, the result will show me:
item, with its respective info and most importantly the Quantity and Item Cost as at 31.01.2009 (similar to closing stock)
Any query for above report?
