Command field

Hi all,
Somebody asked me this question and i dint know how to do it can somebody tell me how it is done.
To go into a transaction code we just simply enter se38 or se80 or other Tcodes in the command field. This command field holds and list the last 10 tcodes.I need to clear this command field and it should hold only one Tcode whcih is entered. Please let me know how to do it .
Thanks
regards,
Harish

Hi Harish,
Its not 10, its upto 20 maximum
Goto the Customising of local layout(Last Icon)  from any Tcode in the Standard Tool Bar...
then Options  And iN Maximum Number of Entries In History, you can enter Your Choice of Tcodes to display...
Also History Off & Clear History.
Thanks & regards,

  • Hide Command field (where users enter transaction codes in SAP GUI)

In our requirement, the custom SAP transaction will be launched on CRM Web UI through transaction launcher technique (when users clicks a hyperlink on CRM UI)
But business people are asking us to not provide the user to enter transaction codes in command field. They don't want User's see command field when the back-end SAP GUI is displayed on CRM UI through transaction launcher and they don't want the user to navigate to any transaction from the SAP GUI. Please let us know you comments on this. Is this possible, if so please guide me?

    Hi Madhu,
This is a question for SAP basis.
One work around could be that the the users who would use ITS screens should not have any other AUTH objects for executing other TCODES. And when they try to do so they will get an error message like you do in a normal SAP GUI.
Basis can configure this by running a Auth Trace.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • How to forbid command field at user level?

Does anyone know how can i forbid at user level the command field?
    Thanks
    M.

    Hi marco,
    1. In normal SAPGUI,
there is some REGISTRY Value, (when gui installation is done)
    2. If that setting/value in registry is changed,
then the command field won't come.
    3. For PORTALS,
the setting is done in the ICF/Service parameter
       ~NOHEADEROKCODE=1
(By doing this, it will come in SAP GUI,
but won't come if we access r/3 from portal/internet explorer)

  • Commands that can be entered in the 'Command Field'

    Hello All,
Does anyone know all commands that can be entered in the 'Command Field'.
I am interested in the commands that start with &. For example &sapedit, &vexcel, &vgrid; etc. (OR commands such as PRFB; etc.)
Just curious, where all these commands are stored?
    Thanks
    Naved

    Hi Nablan,
I tried your suggestion. I noticed that it lists some commands but not all.
Foe example, if I am in CMOD tcode; I clicked on GUI Status but nowhere I saw Command 'PRFB'.
According to a post in SDN, in CMOD tcode; by entering PRFB in the command field a list of all field exits are displayed.
Similary, in SE16n; there are field commands like &sapedit, &vexcel and &vgrid...
    Please shed light on this,
    Thanks

To make your Transaction code field visible again: you should see some small white arrow as the secon icon. Click on it and the input field will re-appear

Please follow the steps below given
In transaction SICF go to /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui there you can modify some parameters by clicking on "GUI Configuration"
    and enter the following value:
    Parameter Name= ~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR
Value = one of the next values or the sum of the values of what you want.
0 : Hiding the page header completely (not recommended)
1 : Standard setting : This is the recommended standard setting in which the title and the menu bar below it with the Exit and Help button and the application buttons are displayed.

  • WEBGUI: hide command field

    Hi everybody,
I'm actually integrating some portal content in EP6 including SAP Transactions using webgui.
Now my task is to hide the command field. I found a parameter ~noHeaderOkCode=1 that hides the command field. But if the user clicks on any menu entry for example 'open new window' the command field appears again.
Did anyone have the same problem yet?
    Regards
    Eric

    Hello,
    here some information for everyone:
the note above describes a webgui prarameter that supresses the menu and command field in the WebGUI. But if you call the parameter over the URL it is only valid for one request so the field ist shown immediately after clicking anything in the GUI. If you want to make it permanet you must enter the parameter in the SICF.

  • Command field ShortCut

    Hi guys
Can anyone tell me how i can locate all the command field shortcuts in SAP for example like PDF! or &reset_excel?
I have tried CTRL + / but that doesn't seem to bring anything up.
    Any help appreciated

    Hello Robbert,
In the Sapgui, there is a buffer in the registry which keeps the last 16 entries. (these can be called with the down-arrow key)
In the registry they are stored in the
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Code
    registry branch.

  • When we use TEST(in command field) in tcode SM12?

When we use TEST(in command field) in tcode SM12?
I know this is for Extended analysis,But in what situvations it is really useful.?
    Thanks,

As I said, I never needed to use that so I don´t know the functions behind it, it´s undocumented and that certainly for a reason
You will need to ask the people who developed that (in the development support @ SAP). It´s used for doing special tests, increase trace levels etc.

  • What is command field !

What is the comand field in any transaction....e.g FK02  ?

    Hi,
    Please check this link
    http://web.mit.edu/SAPR3/docs/webdocs/getstarted/gsSCREENS.html
    Command Field
The Command field is used to enter transaction codes that take you directly to a system task without using menus. Sometimes the Command field is closed by default. To open it, click the arrow to the left of the Save button. To use it, type the transaction code in the blank field to the left and press Enter.
