Command in a new window

Hi,
Is it possible to open the html editor in a new window when you click on the 'edit online' command ?
thanks in advance,
Alex

hi,
For opening object in a new window. You have to set the Work protect mode in the personalize tab.Set your options as needed.
One can also do this under System administration>system config>serviceconfig>epcfloader>workprotectmode.default.
here set the value as needed and restart the service epcfloader under administrate.(right click"Administrate".

Akshay

    And yes all my settings are correct!!

    Greetings,
    If your preferences for Tabs are correctly set (the top two checkboxes are checked) and it's still opening a new window, then it would seem your preferences may be corrupt. In that case, you should quit Safari, go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete the com.apple.Safari.plist file.
    Then restart Safari, setup your preferences again, and test to see if it works.

    Of course. To do it, open a Finder window, go to Finder menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > General, and untick "Open folders in tabs instead of new windows".

    When I use the shortcut to open a new window in safari (command N) on my Macbook Pro, I get a 404 error message from Google. How do I change where 'Command N' routes to?

    It's not necessary to change the Command N keystroke..
    From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:   Remove All Website Data
    Then delete the cache.
    Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
    Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
    Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
    If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
    From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
    If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

    Yes, you can do something like that. What you would do is create a button for each image and then hide them. When I do this type of thing I place all of the buttons on a template page and then hide the template.
    You can then use JavaScript to copy the icon from any of the hidden buttons to the main button that you've set up to display the image. For example, suppose you set up 10 buttons named b1, b2, b3, ...b10. The code to copy the icon from one of them to the button used to display the image (b0) would be something like this:
    // Get the icon from the b3 button
    var oIcon = getField("b3").buttonGetIcon();
    // Get  reference to the b0 button
    var f = getField("b0");
    // Set the icon of the b0 button to the icon retrieved from the hidden button
    f.buttonSetIcon(oIcon);
    // Show the b0 button
    f.display = display.visible;
    This code would go in the Mouse Up event of the smaller button.

  • Option/command does not open a new window from bookmarks

    I have an occasional problem: how come sometimes a bookmarked link in Safari does not open in a new window when I click option/command. or even shift/option/command. I have had and still have this issue over the last few iterations of OS X and Safari. Does not do it for all bookmarks just a few.

    OK. A couple of other things to try in that case.
    It may just be a corrupt preference file causing the issue, so quit Safari, trash this file and then restart Safari:
    Hard drive > Users > Your Username > Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist
    If that makes no difference, does it behave correctly when used from another user account on the same machine? If you don't have another account then use System Preferences > Accounts > \[+\] to create a temporary one for testing.

    Choosing File->New Window or Command+N do nothing. The File menu flashes but no new window is created.

  • I'm using FF for Mac 3.6.13 and everytime I open a new window or tab the image of what I see is tiny which requires me to click Command + to enlarge it. The actual page is normal size, but its the image of the page that opens tiny.

    I'm using FF for Mac 3.6.13 and every time I open a new window or tab the image of what I see is tiny which then requires me to click Command + to enlarge it about 4 or 5 times. The actual page is normal size, but its the image (what I see) of the page that is tiny.

    Thanks but Command 0 on a Mac only makes a temporary change to that one page. The link you provided doesn't show how to make a permanent change. Do you know how to permanently change this so I don't have to do it to every new page?
    Thank you.

  • UI Mass Command opening new window

    Hi all,
    I need your help. I would like to create new UI Mass Command which will open new IE window.
    For better understanding of my problem:
    I've created UI Mass Command which take selected resources and add them to ZIP archive. The final ZIP stream I store to a static class. Then I create servlet which loads the ZIP stream from the static class and offer it to user for downloading. But I need modify the command to be able call the servlet in new window.
    Do you have any idea how to do that? Thank you in advance for any reply!
    Regards
    Zbynek

    Hi Zbynek ,
    You need to implement a class which extends AbstractCommand class and in the method getLinkAttributes() you can return the link that should be executed when user click the UICommand.
    Check this to know, how to implement UICommand:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/kmc/Implementing%20Flexible%20UI%20One-Step-Screenflow.article
    Here is getLinkAttributes implementation:
    public LinkAttributes getLinkAttributes() {
            try {
                String path = getResource().getRID().getPath();
                     String irjString = pcr.getServletRequest().getContextPath();
                   String linkRef = irjString + "/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/YourComponent";
                return new LinkAttributes(
                    "javascript:me.window.open('"
                        + linkRef
                        + "?path="
                        + path
                        + "', 'myWin_"
                        + System.currentTimeMillis()
                        + "', 'left=250, top=250, toolbar=no,status=no,menubar=no,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,width=700,height=350');",
                    "_top",
                    true);
            } catch (ResourceException e) {
                log.severe(e, "Operation failed");
                return null;

  • Open a new window while clicking on the command button

    Hi,
    Can I open a pdf report in a new window when adf command button is clicked?
    I am using jdev11g
    Thanks

    Hi John,
    I found the goButton's destination expression do not read value from any controls e.g.: Input Text.
    Is there anyway to read some value, that input by user not in the db, on the screen?
    e.g.: I have a Input Text for user to input a date to print the report. I've tried to binding the control in backingBean, but I get a null value from the goButton's destination function.
    the jspx:
    <af:inputText label="Search" id="it1"
                            value="#{backingBeanScope.backing_goUrl.it1Value}" autoSubmit="true"/>
    <af:goButton text="goButton 1" id="gb1" targetFrame="_blank"
                           destination="#{backingBeanScope.backing_goUrl.searchURL}"/>in the backing bean:
    public class GoUrl {
      private String it1Value;
      public String getIt1Value() {
        return it1Value;
      public void setIt1Value(String it1Value) {
        this.it1Value = it1Value;
      public String getSearchURL() {
        String s = getIt1Value();
        return "http://www.google.com/search?hl=zh-tw&q="+s; // the result of s is always null.
