    ftp>Password: <password>
    ftp> user logged in
    ftp get <filename>
I want to do like this step by step for a specific reason.
It has to be like a COMMUNICATION PROGRAM.
Now how do I code this in java ?
    Can somebody help ?

  • Command line wasn't executed in ftp adapter

    Hi,gurus:
I met a problem when I used "Run operating system command before message processing" in a file to file scenario. After the message was processed successfully I found the command wasn't executed. However, the command(bat file) could be executed in XI server.
The value of the parameter "command line" is  "c:\data\copyResult.bat %F %f".I want to use the bat file to delete the archived file after the message is processed successfully. But now it was not executed. The content of relavant file is below.Any ideas?Any help will be appreciated.
( Also I have referred to michal's blog about error catching, but it didn't work.)
    copyResult.bat
    ftp -s:copyResult.txt
    copyResult.txt
    open <ftp_host>
    <username>
    <password>
    cd /archive
    delete send.txt
    quit

    Hi,
Have you tried to check the execution of BAT file directly on FTP server or may be you are trying with XI server. What are the results for it.
Plesae check the log of each and every step ...in Runtime Worbench in Communication Channel on sender or receiver side.
    Thanks

  • Command Line for FTP channel

    Hello Guys,
I have FTP to FTP scenario where more than 100 files are picked up from sender side.
My requirement is to send a "Done.txt" file into the receiver folder once all the files are successfully processed.
I believe "Command Line After Successful processing" in the FTP channel could help me. But I don't know how to use or write scripts for the same.
Also, the sender party is ready to provide me with the "Done.txt" file but I have to pick this file at the end, after all other resourceful files are successfully processed.
Please let me know if there are any links for the same or how to do this.
I was unable to find it out on SCN(may be I am not writing the proper words for the search).
    Thank you!
    Regards,
    Simran

    >>>I believe "Command Line After Successful processing" in the FTP channel could help me. But I don't know how to use or write scripts for the same.
The problem with this approach is that the command gets executed for each file
    >>>Also, the sender party is ready to provide me with the "Done.txt" file but I have to pick this file at the end, after all other resourceful files are successfully processed
For the Transport Protocol "File Transfer Protocol (FTP)" files are always processed in ascending alphabetical order.
so request your sender system to place this "done.txt" in such a way that it should be last one when you arrange them in ascending order.. something like "ZZZZZZ.txt"???

  • Suddenly ftp open gives Abort trap: 6

This use to work fine. However my FTP clients cannot connect to their host.
I've tracked it down to a ftp error.
Opening a terminal window and trying to connect:
    Torbens-iMac-7:~ torben$ ftp
    ftp> open ftp.sltk.dk
    Connected to ftp.sltk.dk.
    Abort trap: 6

Hope someone has a good idea :-)

  • How to trap Command Line errors

Sigh.  I have searched for 3 hours to the answer for my question.  I'm new to scripting, so perhaps this is the problem in my not finding a solution.
In a nutshell, I simply want to gracefully trap command line usage of a script.  I want to have my script accept a parameter (ie. a value) and a switch.
    Example:  <script> -path <path> -set
The problem is that i cannot trap incorrect usage.  I would prefer <path> to be position one, and -switch to be position 2 of the parameters passed to the script.  I have not tried this "outside" of PS v2.0 ISE (ie. Powershell.exe).
Of course, I would love it to work in both environments.
I KNOW that the ISE will prompt for missing mandatory parameters.  Great.  But incorrectly specified parameters causes Powershell ISE to "bomb-out".  That is, displaying error messages to an uninformed user whom views it as unintelligible.
Example of incorrect usage:  <script> -pat <path> -set
Again, I would LOVE to trap this, and display correct USAGE to the screen.  Unfortunately, this produces a Powershell error message which has proved unintelligible to "simple" users.
Perhaps I must accept that this is not possible in Powershell v2.0.  I simply want to program my script to CATCH this error and take the desired action.
HELP!!!  To the knowledgeable and generous Scripting Professionals.
If the directions say go straight, but I turn left, then right: Will I still get there?

Okay, I stripped down the script:

  • FTPS (TLS) via command line

I'd like to know if it's possible to initiate an FTP (with TLS) connection from the command line.  I know that FTP is available from the command line, but I'm not sure how to enable TLS, if it's even available.
My goal is to write an Automator workflow that securely uploads the content of a chosen folder to an FTP server.  I currently use a third-party action called "Upload to FTP", but I don't think it uses the TLS protocol.

    curl --ftp-ssl
will attempt to connect via encryption - but it will silently revert to a non encrypted connection if it can not.
    curl --ftp-ssl-reqd
might be a better choice: it will fail with an error message  like
curl: (64) Requested SSL level failed
when it can not connect via SSL

  • Turn off FTP service via command line

We are running a Mt Lion server.  The FTP Service quit working properly.  Instead of directing users to the FTP folder specified, users are just sent to the root of the OS drive.  We attemped to turn off FTP service in the Server.app, but FTP stays running even when Server.app lists it as off.
Is there a way to turn off FTP via the command line?   We can't seem to find it. The instructions we found online for 10.7 don't work.  We've tried rebooting the server and repairing permissions but the same problem exists.

Finally, tracked it down thanks to the good people at CrushFTP http://crushftp.com
Here is the command for anyone else that may be looking.
    sudo -s launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist

  • [SOLVED] gcc: error: unrecognized command line option '-V'

Hi.. this is my first post but I always read the forum to solve my problem! ;) thank you to all!!!!   sorry for my bad english in advanced...
    This is my problem:
I have Archlinux x86_64 with Gnome (last version).
I try to install the driver for my printer epson sx218 but when I compile the bash show:
    checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
    See `config.log' for more details.
now, I see the config.log file and I see the line:
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option '-V'
    my makepkg.conf:

    Are you using AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/epso … 320-sx218/ ?
I updated the PKGBUILD to remove the line that says 'gcc -V >&5'  from the configure file
    libtoolize
    sed -i 's/gcc -V >&5//' configure
    chmod +x configure
    but it still doesn't build:
    ==> Starting build()...
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in `.'.
    libtoolize: linking file `./ltmain.sh'
libtoolize: Consider adding `AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([m4])' to configure.ac and
libtoolize: rerunning libtoolize, to keep the correct libtool macros in-tree.
    libtoolize: Consider adding `-I m4' to ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS in Makefile.am.

  • Error while running a Discoverer Workbook with parameter from command line

I am trying to run a discoverer report from command line and export the results in xls on to my local machine. I could do it fine for a simple workbook, but if I add a parameter(madatory) to the workbook and run it from command line specifying the parameter value I wanted to run the report for, I do not get any results. Here is the command line I am using.
    dis51usr.exe /connect user/password@database /apps_user /apps_responsibility "System Administrator" /eul EUL_US /open C:\Disco\Test.DIS /sheet Testsheet /parameter Period Jan-07 /export xls C:\Disco\X.xls /batch
Parameter value is entered in correct format(Jan-07).
When I removed /batch from this to see if I get any error, Discoverer Desktop opened up, logged in and gets terminated saying 'Oracle Discoverer Desktop has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
Did anybody come across this issue before?

    Hello,
If you have a few minutes, Windows is also aborting for me:
the differences are, my situation is:
    a) am running the command line from a .bat file
    b) am NOT running with parms, want the discoverer query to come up for the user
    c) am running a query from the database
i am signing in as myself BUT running a query that was created by a generic user called SREG
    c) if i run the .bat file from Windows Explorer, the query opens fine
    d) if i execute the .bat file from within Microsoft Access using the shell command,
the query opens and then aborts RIGHT BEFORE the parm screen would display
    e) btw, if i modify the .bat file, to run a query from MY database signon, then (d) - running .bat file
from vb using SHELL command works
Do you have a ideas as to why (d) does not work? I would be very grateful for your time, tx, sandra
this is what i posted yesterday, tx: Re: Running Discoverer command line

  • File adapter OS command line - Calling a command remotely ??

    Hi,
We have a scenario where in which receiver file adapter after putting a file on the FTP  , a subsequent XML loader needs to be called which would load data into the client legacy ERP system.
There seems to be some idea about doing it through file adapter OS command line.
The problem is the how to call this loader command remotely from our file adapter OS command line.
Any help would be appreciated ???

  • Execute windows command line to a file

    Hi,
I would like to run a windows command line from Java and output the result to a file.
    eg.
    cmd> mycommand hello > output.txt
in windows ">" is to output the result to a file.
    I've tried
    String command  = "mycommand hello > output.txt";
Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);But that exec() didn't output to a file.
Can someone give me an example on how to do this?
    Thanks

You are falling for one of the traps described here. The redirection operator '>' has to be interpreted by a shell or command processor. On windows this would be
String command  = "cmd.exe /C mycommand hello > output.txt";and on Linux this would beString command  = "sh -c mycommand hello > output.txt";You should read all 4 sections of the traps article and implement ALL the recommendations or you will be back here again.
