Command to Sync with Time Server

I forgot the command to manually sync with the systems' designated time server...
I know you can manually use "date" via Terminal to manually set the date/time, but I'd like the user to simply run a "sync with designated time server" command.
Ideas?

1) what happens if the time server becomes unreachable?
2) can source.sntp.address be specified as a name address to be rosolved by a DNS? (It seems to me that if the name can't be resolved the board boots in safe mode...)

Hi Marco,
1) If the SNTP time server becomes unreachable, the cRio will update the local time independently, starting from the last time value get from the server
2) You are right, it doesn't work properly. The right way to express the SNTP source is using IP address

Calendar will not sync with Exchange server or most Google Calendars

Hi,
I am writing about my wife's brand new Samsung Charge on Verizon. We managed to setup both her gmail account and her work exchange server account fine, except for the calendars:
Her Google calendar shows up fine, but I am unable to even see any other Google calendars that she has access to (both her own secondary calendars as well as calendars that others have shared with her) in order to select them to be visible.
Her exchange calendar says it is enabled (on the list of available calendars), but no events at all show up.
This behavior is with the latest software updates on the Charge (2.2.1 firmware, I510.EE4 build) using its stock calendar software. I did notice that if I use Smooth Calendar, it does list all of her Google calendars under its listing of available calendars, but it still only shows data from her primary calendar. This is also true using the Touch Calendar app, which leads me to believe that there is some problem within the Google Calendar sync software that is not allowing her calendars to appear correctly.

hello, for the old sync system in firefox 28 and below you also had to sign up with a mail address and password originally - to connect firefox to the old account you would need to have all those three pieces (mail, password & recovery key) available to you unfortunately...

Mac Reminder (Mountain Lion) cannot sync with Exchange Server 2010

My boss is using iMac reminder (Mountain Lion), iPhone and iPad sync with his Exchange Server account, He cannot sync Mac reminder with Exchange Server last week. However, there are no sync problem of iPhone, iPad and the other iMac.
My boss mail to me 'Just noticed that my iMac reminder is not in sync with the server. IOS device is in sync though. Tried unchecking calendar+reminder on account setup and rechecking but still no good. Any ideas?'

Started experiencing this same issue with new Macs on Moutain Lion connecting to MicroSoft Exchange Server.
ERROR Says:
Calendar can't save the event "event name here" to the Exchange server.
The account "describes calendar name" currently can't be modified. to discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that's on the server. click Revert to Server.
Then gives the buttons "Revert to Server" "Try Again" or "Ignore"
!!! Somehow it seems like this is a known issue, otherwise WHY would Apple have given us those 3 buttons to click on?
Needless to say this is causing productivity problems as it disrupts the very busy schedule of many users. Apple needs to provide some workaround for this.

Please help troubleshoot why SM-SRE WAAS module can't time sync with NTP server

I have a remote WAAS site where a SM-SRE-900 module is plugged in a 2945 router. Everything is fine except the module can't sync its time to the NTP server. Its NTP was configured right and it can reach the NTP server with no problem. There's no authentication configured. But somehow it can't associate with the NTP server. I have tried manual NTP sync, but it failed too.
The same NTP server and config is also used for many other WAAS site and the CM. They are all fine. I'm running WAAS 4.2.3 build 7. The module isn't showing any other alarms.
Here is some show outputs and the manual NTP sync result. I noticed its poll is only 64 seconds while all other sites are showing 1024 seconds.

What the SRE-900 have as it's time? Use the show clock command. Does it match within a few minutes of ntp already, if not, and if this is not the first first clock set out of the box, then ntp sync might fail.
You might try to manually set the clock correctly (set clock ... something), then see if the ntp server will sync.

Sync time with time server

I have searched everywhere. I have both an ipod and ipad and would like them both in sync for time.
I have found a few apps that will give me the time via NTP but it will not update the internal clocks.
This is truely annoying since all my other "stuff" gets its time from the various NTP servers I have
them set to use. Is there anything being done to rectify this? IOS 5?
On both devices the clocks drift considerably over the course of a month. I hardly ever sync to my
PC, just to do the occasional backup as needed That is another pet peeve since if you do not have a PC
you would never sync.

This would be fine except they allow apps to find your location, push "stuff" to you etc. and they WILL NOT do that for time? Come on, they need to get with it as this issue has been going on for a very long time. My search shows people asking about this back in 2008 and earlier. I have not seen anything in the iOS 5 announcments that this will be resolved. It is VERY simple to implement.

Problem with Adobe AIR Offline sync with ColdFusion server

I having problem to sync with local and remote db, environment.
- Flex Hero.
- Coldfusion 9.0
- MySql 5
The GlobalVars follow same as http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/offline_air_orm.html.
The problem is when I create a user (entity at both size), it can be stored in local db without problem, but the session.save(obj) process didn't trigger commit to remote server (ColdFusion), (SyncManager.autocommit = ture), I tried set AutoCommit = false then use session.commit() to manually commit it, it didn't work neither.
Anyone have same problem?

IPad 2 Contacts sync with Exchange server and change Outlook custom form

Following iPad synchronizing Contacts, we find that our custom form in Outlook is pushed back to the Microsoft default “IPM:Contact”.
It appears that only the first 500 [approximation] contacts are affected. There are 5k contacts and we are seeing no other patterns.
We are not expecting an iOS Contact will resemble that of MS-Contacts, at the same time we are puzzled how iPad is rejecting and then causing ActiveSync to force change to the Exchange server.
Has anyone else experienced this, and can perhaps recommend a workaround?
Environment
MAC iPad2 iOS v4.3.5 attached using ActiveSync
Exchange 2003 SP2
Users are with either Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010

I'm excited to finally sync my work email with my iPhone. Our IT didn't support it and we work off of an Exchange server. I, too, was nervous about which contacts to sync. While I want my work email, I don't need my contacts and would rather have mine from my mac at home. Unfortunately, you can only do one at a time. The following paragraph is from a c net review. TS3276 OS X Mavericks Mail does not sync with Exchange Server

After moving to Mavericks, mail, contacts, anc calendars do not sync with our exchange server. It will set up the first time and then stop sycning. Is there a way to delete the mail app and reinstall. All other Apple devices sync with the exchange server with no issues.

It was my DNS settings. I had my Airpot pointing to OpenDNS, and for some reason iCal and Address Book could not find their way to my exchange server. I changed the setting to use my ISP's DNS and now everything works fine.

Office 2011 Task sync with Exchange Server is overwriting data

A little background in case it's important:
SBS2008 Server w/ Exchange v7 8.01.0340.000
I run an RDC connection to a virtual server running Office 2010 (this is not the same server hosting Exchange)
I run a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 and Office 2011
I use both of these workspaces simultaneously. Previous to installing Office 2011 last month, I ran Office 2010 from the RDC connection. Everything worked fine from that side.
Now that I'm using Outlook 2011 task management is very strange at times. I'm in MacOS 95% of my day. I'd prefer to use Outlook 2011 rather than 2010 through an RDC connection, which is the reason I purchased 2011.
The issue(s): Suppose I create a task in Outlook 2011, and save it; then, later I go back to make edits. If Outlook happens to sync while I have the task open in edit mode, it will get overwritten with the previously saved version. The only workaround
I have found so far is to hit the cmd-s button nearly as frequently as punctuation. At least I never lose more than a sentence fragment.
However, one thing that I can not seem to resolve at all is completion status. If I ever have occasion to re-activate a completed task--which does happen--toggling the 'completed' button back off and saving the task does not re-set its status back
to active. The 'task complete' flag seems to fall outside of the purview of the save function. So, while hitting 'save' regularly when editing tasks retains the data, every time exchange syncs with the tasks, it will mark the task completed again.
I have double/triple checked the server's time and my workstation's time are the same--down to the second. I've tried closing the Outlook 2010 application on the PC. I've fiddled with the sync services preferences in Outlook 2011 to sync to the
Exchange server, to my computer (and combinations of both); I've set the outlook folder to add new items to the Exchange server and to the local machine. The results are always the same as outlined above.

Please start Outlook in safe mode and check whether the issue persists. Also make sure there is no third-party autispam program installed in your machine. If there is, please disable it to have a try.

Address book Sync with Lion Server

Hello,
I have set up a Mac Mini with Lion Server and have OD users (no local user on the server). When I login "locally" (using the OD user account), I have my full environment, everything seems to work ok. Also the sync from my iPhone seems to work (only some calendar errors, sync doesn't come up with address book errors). But, as I now have noted, there is not really a sync of the address book. I have an old version of my address book on the server.
How do I properly set up that:
- my iPhone syncs with my OD user's address book only
whereas
- central address book is kept on the OD server as well (without any sync)?
Or did I get something wrong regarding the concept of running an address book on the Lion server ... maybe it's not possible to sync the iPhone to an OD user's address book?

Have you tried rebuilding the accounts in SystemPrefs>Mail, Contacts and Calendars?
Are the machines bound to the directory?
Try setting it up in a fresh account on the broken Mac.
Try setting it up on a different Mac.
